Good atmosphere and decent drinks, but the food was a real disappointment. I ordered the chicken burger and could barely find the chicken. The whole thing was drowned in ketchup and chili sauce, and the cook had even forgotten the salad and tomatoes. One bite and I was done. In the end, the burger had almost nothing in it. Paying 12 € for that… quite the business model.

On a pleasant Saturday evening, a group of us thought we'd pop in for a shot. We ordered two simple tequila shots (paid in advance, of course). Shouldn't it be easy? Nope. The waitstaff and bartenders were as capable as a bunch of toddlers trying to run a restaurant—complete chaos with no efficiency whatsoever. After waiting over 40 minutes and repeatedly asking what was taking so long, the shots finally arrived. Or rather, they never arrived. Gloria's will forever be known as a scumbag place that rips you off right in front of your eyes. The owner and staff should be ashamed of what they've created on the patio. Awful.

Have been back after its new mgmt 4 times since it first changed. Once, soon after the mgmt shift, twice in June and July and then again this past week. In June and July i was surprised by the great portion sizes on the appetizers and meals as well as the tasty and full pulled beef tacos, but this last visit ruined it for me. They switched to ground beef tacos, which reminded me of a “sloppy joe” sandwich in taste and quality. I couldn’t finish it. Plus they severely lowered the portion size for things like the calamari - which used to be a mountain on the plate, great value for price. This past visit there were a small handful of calamaris (maybe 10). It almost looked like we got a plate left by another group after they left. Overall a bit bummed as my friend and I brought more friends for drinks and board games and were raving about how the quality had gone up, just to see it fall down again. Service is really great all around, but the food quality and portions will have me choosing elsewhere

I was nearly hospitalized because I was served spoiled churro cheesecake here. It was the most vile thing I have every tried and lead me to be in agonizing pain for the rest of the day. My stomach is still turning thinking about it. There is no way they didn’t know it was spoiled, the taste was vile. My friend also tasted it and got sick. We waited a long time for someone to come by to tell them, but as I became unwell we just left. I normally never leave reviews but I will report this place for health violations. This is just disgusting

El personal del Gloria me faltó el respeto a un nivel tan increíble anoche porque tuve la desgracia de pedir 3 Moscow Mules con solo un poco de hielo en lugar de mucho. Una simple petición con la simple consecuencia de que mis vasos estarían menos llenos, NO HAY PROBLEMA (se lo dije al servidor). La respuesta fue no y agresiva, el servidor llenó mis vasos de hielo hasta el borde, que tuve que quitar yo mismo, luego apareció el portero 🤣 quería echarme por quitar el exceso de hielo yo mismo, básicamente por hacer el trabajo del servidor 🤣 UNA VERDADERA BROMA! ! ! ! Me pide disculpas con el sirviente que se ha estado burlando de mí durante los últimos 5 minutos (A LO QUE OBVIAMENTE ME NIEGO) , y el bonito resultado: me terminaron sirviendo una doble dosis de alcohol (que absolutamente no había pedido) , lo que por supuesto resultó en una doble factura, que pagué sin ni siquiera quejarme, porque desde el principio no había sido irrespetuosa con nadie, solo había pedido menos hielo, eso es todo.

The staff at Gloria disrespected me to such an incredible level because I had the misfortune to ask for 3 Moscow Mules with only a little ice instead of a lot. A simple request with the simple consequence that my glasses would be less full, NO PROBLEM (I told the server that). The answer was no and aggressive, the server filled my glasses with ice to the brim, which I had to remove myself, then the doorman showed up 🤣 he wanted to kick me out for removing the excess ice myself, basically for doing the server's job 🤣 A REAL JOKE!!!! He asks me to apologize to the serveur who's been making fun of me for the past 5 minutes (WHICH I OBVIOUSLY REFUSE), and the beautiful result: they ended up serving me a double dose of alcohol (which I absolutely hadn't asked for), which of course resulted in a double bill, which I paid without even complaining, because from the start I hadn't been disrespectful to anyone, I had just asked for less ice, that's all.

Really loved the atmosphere, there was this one point where they played the same four songs, but then it got resolved. We were stuck in a corner, but hey, the place was packed and we didn’t make a reservation so, I would recommend making one. We went on International Margarita Day, hoping they would have some promo going on. They didn’t :(, my friends didn’t like the margaritas, they were kinda strong, but I still drank mine trust. The nachos were good, however the drinks were pretty costly, and the food somewhat as well.

It's not possible that a nice place that was before, cannot guarantee security inside the place, I lost my jacket with my keys inside and inside this place and they only told me that they are no responsible for this, So it's not save place that you can go, enjoy and when sadly someone stole something from you, and nobody want to respond for that, I don't recommend to go this place (and now it's so cold and I had to leave this place without my jacket, because even the bodyguard was rude with me) Really a bad experience my first and last time to go to this place

Had a very bad experience at the Tulp; all our clothes were covered in paint from the benches and tables that were not yet dry and when we wanted to talk to someone about this, manager Lucas was unwilling to speak to us. Rebuffed with an email address to which no response is subsequently given. I don't recommend going to De Tulp for good service.

Tbvh, I was a bit worried about the whole experience. We know that is under a different management as well as a whole new organic (new staff), so coming in was a hit or a miss. But yeah, this was a complete hit. Food was super good and surprisingly well price/ quality balanced, we found proportions also quite abundant and good for sharing (not that I would be keen to share tho, food’s too good sorry). Cocktails are highly recommended, staff/ manager are super friendly and helpful. Inside was a bit noisy which made it a slightly challenging to talk with people at the table. I’ll be counting the days until I go back and get chicken tenders ‘cus dammmmn 🫶🏻

Came for drinks before the New Year Eve. Service was nice, however a bit expensive for the prosecco (35€ for the cheapest prosecco from Aldi) but you dont drink this in a bar for the cheap price right? Staff was friendly and we even had a round of shots to balance the fact that by mistake they sent us an already open bottle of prosecco, which was obviously replaced, so nothing to complain there.

Update: after 2 months, I received the difference back to my account. Watch out with what you order and how much they charge. Two weeks ago I ordered a bottle of wine through the QR code on the table. After 30 minutes, I directly went to the bar as nobody was bringing it. The barman told me that the bottle was not available and gave me an alternative bottle that was significantly cheaper, saying that the difference would be refunded in 2 days. After two reminder emails sent, I'm still waiting for the refund. I hope this message makes you read your emails.

SCAM ALERT!!!. They didnt come with the bill and just the machine to charge. It was the wrong amount and after arguing with them they refused to reimburse me even though they admitted the wrong amount and they overcharged me 40€!! They said to email the company email which is bullshit because 3 weeks later NO ONE HAS ANSWERED! SCAM ALERT! My friend and I went out for drinks and were charged three times the actual price. The bill was supposed to be €21, but we were slapped with a charge of €54. When we questioned it, they claimed they "confused us with the previous guest" (??). We caught the overcharge immediately, but they refused to issue a refund on the spot and insisted we send an email instead. Right then and there, we sent the email in front of the staff member who overcharged us, and we also followed up with multiple emails and phone calls. We never got our money back. This place is a total scam—avoid it at all costs!

DONT GO TO DE TULP. I had drinks here and was overcharged by one of the waiters (bill was €21 and they charged me over €50 - paid with Apple Pay so didn’t notice the overcharge until I got the charge notification on my phone). Do not go here if you want fast service, especially if you sit inside. My friends and I waited 45 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive, despite most people just sharing a single pitcher of beer. The host always walked by our table and did not check on us without us waving him down and asking him to come over. There were only four options on the food menu: appetizers, a burger, roast chicken, or fries. The food also took a long time to arrive, but not as long as our second round of drinks (two martinis) that had still not made it to our table even by the time we had finished the food and paid the bill.

Así que 29€ por un ribeye con chimichurri se vuelve mucho más caro cuando hay que pagar por separado por papas fritas y ensalada. Lo cual estaría bien si la comida fuera buena... Pero el servidor de bistec semi-frío con un aderezo de cebolla picada y chile (no chimichurri) no es ni de lejos ‘bueno’. La cocina se olvidó por completo de la comida de mi amigo, así que todos habíamos terminado nuestras comidas antes de que obtuvieran la suya. Además de esto, tuvimos que pedir repetidamente que se entregaran nuestros pedidos de bebidas. Otros amigos disfrutaron de sus hamburguesas de pollo. En general, una experiencia decepcionante.

It is a good place to go with friends or dates. They have a QR code self service which is very practical but could be an issue for splitting the bill. The atmosphere is very chill and you could tell that the place on the weekends gets busy with nice music. Beers and fries are on point!

Me and my good friend sat on the terrace and had dinner. The food was average. The duck leg was a breaded, deep fried situation, the steak totally well done. Not worth the price. This was not the cause of my 1 star review, it was due to the QR code and the behavior of the service. We ordered via the code (always annoying, why does this still exist?) But our coffee and cognac never came. We walked to the bar but were rudely turned away. Then came our lukewarm coffee with the cognac dumped in it. We confronted the bar staff and were rudely turned away in English. Nasty food, high prices, unfriendly service and QR codes. Please avoid this place5

Ik ga nu weg. Meer dan een uur geleden 2 pornstar martini besteld en betaald. Ik vroeg aan een serveerster een paar minuten geleden waar de drankjes bleven. Ze geeft aan dat ze had gezien dat haar collega die had laten vallen. Dan verwacht je zo snel mogelijk een nieuwe of dat iemand dat even komt vertellen. Niet dus. Naar binnen gegaan en gevraagd, barman zegt : we hebben geen porn star martini meer. Ik zag net een paar mensen naast ons buiten met porn star martini’s die er ook nog eens pas net zaten. Dus ik vraag wat anders, gaat die man er nog moeilijk over doen ook, hij maakt 2 andere drankjes en vraagt daarna of ik mijn vriendin van buiten wil halen om bewijs te laten zien dat het van haar rekening is afgegaan omdat ze zelf de bon al hadden weggegooid een uur geleden. I don’t usually leave such negative reviews, but honestly had one of the worst experiences at this restaurant the other night with a group of friends, mostly due to the service. Our waiter was a lovely guy personally but really did not seem to know what was going on. We were not given menus when we arrived, and then we were asked if we were ready to order our food - without even seeing the menu. Half of the dishes we ordered were out of stock (told after we ordered and waited 10 minutes) and the waiter did not know the food on the menu and could not translate from Dutch as he did not understand Dutch. We asked for another wine glass for my friend who later joined the table, who was also going to join in on our bottle, for the waiter to have misunderstood and brought another bottle of wine instead. We explained we just wanted another glass which he never ended up bringing after about 3 times asking. The service was so slow, we were only able to order once within the entire 2.5 hour period. At the end of the night we asked for the bill, and were immediately presented with the card machine. I asked if we could get the bill as standard also so we could see how to split and he responded that they don’t allow the bill to be split at this restaurant so we have to transfer each other. I was so frustrated at this point I ended up just paying and asking for the bill anyway. only to see that he has not removed the second bottle of wine he mistakenly added. So we had paid €48 extra for wine we didn’t order or receive. When I explained this, he said there was nothing they could do other than write my bank details down for them to transfer the money. WHICH I AM STILL WAITING FOR!!! I have worked in the service industry for years and am an extremely understanding person when it comes to mistakes and mishaps hence why I never leave negative reviews. But this …different level.

I am shocked at how we were treated. The arrogance of the waitresses spoiled the entire atmosphere for us. They sent us away after an error in their system that they made themselves. Staff was unfriendly, did not let us finish and told us in a belittling manner that we were no longer welcome. We will never come back here again!

I have never had it as bad in a café as here at the tulip. The service was antisocial and pointed out mistakes they had made themselves; We were also told that we were no longer welcome while we were still sitting at the table with full glasses. So the atmosphere was completely ruined for us. Best regards
