Amazing attention, exquisite food, Kudos to the staff!!!

Ik heb in jaren niet zo slecht gegeten. We hadden beide gekozen voor de spareribs. Deze kwamen vermoedelijk zo uit het plastic en de magnetron. De frietes die erbij waren geserveerd mag de naam friets niet hebben. Slap, lauw en "papperig". Eens en nooit meer.

I arrived at the restaurant and waited to be seated. The concierge of the hotel appears and asks me "can I help you?" And I answered, "can I get a table for 1?" And he answered back by pointing to all the empty tables at the restaurant (the restaurant was empty). I took a table and the waitress followed with the same question "can I help you?" To what I answered "dinner?" The food was good, however, I think it is obvious that if you are at the entrance of a restaurant, it is OBVIOUS that you want to be seated, and most importantly if you are at a restaurant you want to have dinner. It didn't surprise me to see bad reviews of the restaurant with similar experiences

Our Waiter apologetic. Head waiter rude and non apologetic when they forgot part of our order. Portion size minimal - 14 pieces of penne for main course. Other diners in same position. Family of 3 - each main course came 10 minutes apart. Again no apology. Would definitely not recommend - walk past. When we asked to see menu for desserts/drinks, head waiter told us 3 desserts and didn't give us menu. When we got bill he asked for cash! We replied card only. Again avoid.

Below expectations... especially the food. They could, and certainly know how to, do better... they shouldn't sell reheated food... frankly, I don't know how they ruin something so simple... as for the service, it was commendable for the friendliness, but everyone knows that you don't bring food to the table without having the previous person's plates cleared... details, but excellence lies in them.

Heel vriendelijke bediening. De maaltijd heel lekker. Na een hele dag regen…groetjes van Anja en Dirk die op de hondencamping in Zuidvaarderleen verblijven en jullie adres bekomen hebben via de eigenaren…

Place was empty. Food was average. Staff were nice. I think it gets alot of reviews by people who have the breakfast as part of their hotel stay. Would not recommend.

Une catastrophe Le restaurant était presque vide et les plats ont mis plus de 45 minutes à arriver Le serveur a renversé mes légumes au passage et ma servi le plat en me disant «  c est ce qu’il y a » ( il a menti car il n’a pas vu que je l’ai vu tout renversé) Les plats peu goûteux et chers. Le manager à la fin s’excuse et et c’est tout. Une honte. Fuyez

Super nice food with friendly service!

Should have known when we were the only people in the restaurant. The waiter was very sweet but he also cooks the food ! The first course was fine but we both ordered Lasagne which one was frozen and the other cold in the middle. The waiter offered to re heat but we paid for what we had a left.

Es la cafeteria de hotel Catalonia Vondel. Comimos el dia que llegamos y estuvo bastante bien, tanto la cantidad como la calidad. El sitio es tranquilo y la atencion de los camareros fantastica. Nos hicieron comentarios sobre las cosas que ver y no ver en Amnsterdan y fueron muy amables y agradables en el trato y en el servicio. El desayuno tambien lo hicimos aqui y estaba de 10.

Nos deparamos com esse restaurante que é parte do hotel e resolvemos experimentar. Tivemos uma grata surpresa com pratos incríveis e vinho espetacular. Os caldos são muito gostosos para uma tarde de inverno e a tábua de especialidades também é um belo petisco. Certamente iremos novamente quando retornarmos a Amsterdã.

Pore quality food for Amsterdam prices. € 16,50 for a hamburger is fine but not if the bun is dry, the meat ok and it mostly tastes of salt. Service was good though.

Recent hier heerlijk gegeten. Bediening is uiterst correct, maar gelukkig niet stijf. De ober heeft duidelijk productkennis en kan zich prima in andere talen uiten. Het voorgerecht met de plank met vlees/vis is een aanrader. De borden zijn mooi opgemaakt en voortreffelijk qua smaak. Een restaurant dat uit het toeristen gedeelte zit, maar waar smaak en service de kernwoorden zijn.

Onvriendelijke service, taaie en droge biefstuk (niet gevraagd hoe hij gebakken moet worden), zonder steakmes. Interieur wel mooi. Heeft potentie, helaas niet benut.

Very nice Ambience. Friendly and supportive staff. The selection of breakfast breads ist really good and fresh. The price for the buffet ist very reasonable and not expensive.

Excellent ! Tres bon accueil et les plats que nous avons pris étaient très bon. Le cadre est agréable, calme et comfortable.

The food is rather mediocre, but the Savingon Blanc was nice and the staff is friendly.

Reservering stond niet in het systeem. Na wat gezucht en gesteun toch een tafel vrijgemaakt ondanks dat er gewoon tafels vrij bleven. Eten was niks op aan te merken. Al was het gokken welke kazen op op het kaasplankje lagen, dit werd niet uitgelegd. Halverwege de avond was het bier (pils) op en was er maar 1 soort witte wijn beschikbaar. Personeel was iets te amicaal voor de gelegenheid. Meisje dat voor de eerste avond werkte deed prima haar best. Voor de stroeve ontvangst en voor het feit dat het bier op was kregen we een consumptie aangeboden. Netjes! Maar het leed was al geschied.

Fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. We weren’t guests of the hotel, - found this place on google when looking for early breakfast after our 6 am landing to Amsterdam. Wonderful place to spend some time and enjoy simple and delicious food. The buffet had variety of cold cuts, cheeses, breads. Hot mushrooms, scrambled eggs and I believe sausage was there too. Cereals, yogurt and variety of fresh juices and coffee options. Quality of food was very delicious. Cozy and cute place.

Restaurant gevonden met Primera actie. Heel vriendelijk geholpen en elke gang was een verrassing. Wij wisten niet wat wij te eten zouden krijgen. Hollandse verfijnde keuken. Heerlijk. Genieten vlakbij het Vondelpark in een goeie sfeer op een zondagavond.

Ben je in Amsterdam en wilt eten vlakbij Museumplein en Vondelpark, dan is dit een aanrader!!!! 👍👍

Restaurant au cadre très agréable, calme. Touristes et habitués se côtoient. Le personnel est sympathique et attentionné. Des spécialités hollandaises sont proposées à des prix raisonnables. C'était excellent, nous avons passé un très bon moment. A recommander

The food was really good, though not much, it was really tasty. Only down-side was one of the other guests from the hotel that was belching and snorting a lot. This killed the atmosphere.

The food and service is excellent. A great experience.

Netjes schoon en lekker gegeten

The food is okay. Not cheap for what you get. There was some onion in our sorbet but at least they got us a new one.

The food is excellent. We wanted to try some Dutch food and there we are. Service is excellent the waiter is very helpful explaining the menu since it wasn't translated. As heard from previous reviews we were prepared to wait till the kingdom comes but still it would be nice to serve both parties at the same time with their main dish so one don't have to stare jealously at the other. They are recently renovating the entrance so enter from the hotel next to the actual door.

Ergens in de reviews stond 1 ster, deze is werkelijk totaal onzinnig , daarom ook 5 sterren vanaf hier. Joost is een lekker restaurant met een vriendelijke bediening, keurig en niet te opdringerig. Het eten was goed, de kaart zelf is niet groot met redelijke varieties. Het eten hier is keurig verzorgd en smaakt goed. Met kleine verbeterpunten, maar dit is alleen als we onze Hollandse *zeur modus * aan zetten. * double cheeseburger : mag net iets minder droog, vooral het broodje. * kaas kroketten: garnering 1 blaadje sla met een tomaat is niet van deze tijd. Beetje rauwkost en dressing zou het beter maken. * roodbaars: te weinig saus! De saus is heerlijk, en dus snel te weinig. Deze brengt ook een heerlijke smaak aan de venkelgort, is de saus op, dan is de venkelgort iets wat blijft staan. * plank hollands vlees: sterke aanrader Bovenstaande is echt met zeur mode aan. Het is verder erg goed te doen!
