Such a hidden gem! You walk in thinking you’re just grabbing a coffee — and then get completely wowed by the quality of the food, the warm service, and the unique concept. The coffee is truly excellent, the sandwiches are creative and delicious, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. It’s also a surprisingly great place to work, with a relaxed vibe and friendly staff. And the best part? You can do your laundry while enjoying your lunch — it’s practical and actually enjoyable, thanks to the high level of service they offer in both areas. Compared to other brunch or lunch spots in the neighborhood, this place is truly in a league of its own. Highly recommend!

I recently visited De Witwasserij, and it instantly became one of my favorite spots for a weekend brunch. I ordered a cappuccino and the Club Sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious! It was exactly what I needed to start the day off with the right foot. The atmosphere at De Witwasserij is so relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling, which made the experience even more enjoyable. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. One of the highlights was the lovely terrace – a cozy and peaceful spot to soak in some sunshine while sipping on your coffee or enjoying your food. Whether you're catching up with friends or looking for a quiet moment alone, the ambiance here makes it a perfect choice. Overall, I can't recommend De Witwasserij enough. It’s a delightful café with great food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

What a damn nice tent. I regularly come here to do my laundry. I came today. You don't have to wait for it. Rosa, one of the top ones, who was already busy on her own, said, I'll put it in the dryer for you afterwards. I could just go into Nijmegen, so sweet. We had a vegan BLT, salmon sandwich, matcha latte with coconut milk, elderflower lemonade and later a ginger cappuccino and a lavender cappuccino. The sandwiches are tasty, the tempeh bacon in the BLT is really delicious! There was relatively a lot of lettuce on the sandwich and very little of the other ingredients. I would have liked it the other way around. Now you mainly tasted a lot of lettuce :( The drinks are tasty, cappuccinos mediocre. The interior gives a nice living room atmosphere and the space with the washing machine is a nice combination! Only one employee per room. This means that you sometimes miss it when you want to pay or order something. That's a bit of a shame. All friendly people!

Nice place to work or just for lunch! Tasty (vegetarian) dishes and fantastic coffee, good smoothies. Homemade sweets and many local suppliers. Atmosphere is very relaxed with top music. The sticky soy sauce portobello (photo) was delicious!

Maybe coincidentally on a bad day but we were really a bit disappointed. Had to wait 53 minutes before our order arrived (2 sandwiches and a salad). And it wasn't really worth the wait. Sandwiches were fine but the salad was very poor.

Great small shop to meet friends. The waitress was very kind and the mood was professional and nice. The coffee I got was Lotus and a black coffee.

Update: one of my favourite brunch/lunch spots in Nijmegen. I love their kimchi toast and the Vegan BLT. Their drinks are so good too, love the latte macchiato, love the matcha latte, love their lemonades. And the vibes are perfect, I love to sit there and read. The Latte Macchiato was delicious, and the little brownie bite it came with was exactly what I needed. The atmosphere was great, super cool place. I could spend hours in there. Any place that has a disco ball is a winner in my books. The owner, Rosa was very friendly, nice to have met her.

Nice concept, the food is fine. You will only pay a lot if you want to come for brunch: the most basic brunch menu will cost you around €20. If you want something extra or something outside the brunch menu, you will soon pay around 30 or 40 euros, which is bizarre for a brunch

Unique place for original drinks, good food and to do some laundry. The drinks menu of the Witwasserij really appeals to me as it offers progressive options for every moment: such as a rooibos cappuccino that originated in South Africa (Rosa told me). The great thing about De Witwasserij is that they consciously choose products where they work and sell more. Plus the fun initiatives such as the sustainable coffee-to-go system and the events that are hosted. Recommended!!

Super cute place. Nice coffee and banana bread. I like how everything is cosy and nice. It is a warm place. They have a lot of vegetation options and veru good coffee. Like the service, they were nice and fast.

Had a party here. We brought our own food and they were very accommodating with plates and cutleries. They tried to think with us and that was very nice. Very nice, unique and cosy atmosphere. With the hotel next door it is an ideal combination for guests from out of town

Super tasty coffee! Matcha has recently been added to the menu, highly recommended. Sandwiches are also great and the staff is very friendly. You can also do your laundry here at the same time, ideal!

This laundromat bar is a local gem with a sustainable touch. Owner Rosa really knows what she is doing and creates a peaceful vibe with great music and service. The homemade vegetarian/vegan food and original drinks are delicious. And don't miss the best organic coffee around! Highly recommended for a unique experience.

What a nice place. The only coffee I like without sugar or milk. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, the colors, the light. Nice employee too! And it is normal and not uncomfortable if you sit there alone. Enjoy reading or writing. I will visit De Wit more often!

This place is amazing for 4 de gasse (Nijmegen ruck) walkers. There is ice cold beer, laundry service, and ice cold foot baths to help recover. Rosa was an amazing hostest. Had an espresso during my walk and came back in the evening to relax. Can't wait to come back!

Run, don’t walk to this charming spot! I was daunted by the price of the laundry, but it was well worth the price since my clothes came out nice and fresh and in great condition. No need to bring detergent since the machines take care of it. The dryer was speedy! It’s also homy place in its own right to have a good cup of coffee.

Best place to do laundry in Nijmegen, you can relax and have some of the scrumptious vegan meals here. Rosa was so accommodating and be very helpful. This place is highly recommended, and please do pay them a visit. 😊

Walked in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the bartender and also co-owner, Rosa couldn’t have been nicer. The food was amazing, you could even taste the love with which it was prepared. We had a great time there. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend! ⭐️🥇

Today we had drinks at De Wit, what a nice place! From the outside it looks a bit dark, but once inside it is nicely decorated and there are games to play. Friendly service who has a chat and explains the games, great! They even stayed open longer because there were still guests, good service. The waitress said that the company invests in social involvement by offering internships to young people who are disadvantaged in the labor market.

I went to Nijmegen specifically for these donuts, but I was very disappointed... Price/quantity ratio is already bizarre, the donuts are very small, and unfortunately the quality did not make up for this, they were very tough. Very unfortunate... On the other hand, they are Instagramable!

Unclear tent. It closes at 5 p.m. during the week (!!) and then the staff really wants to stop. The furnishings are nice. Apparently you can also do your laundry there. All in all it adds nothing.
