We had incredibly delicious kibbeling and fried fish. Unfortunately, even in Zeeland, you increasingly find thawed fish that looks yellowish and tastes old. But here, the fresh fish is absolutely delicious. It's a good thing we read the reviews beforehand. The fries are delicious too! We'll definitely be back.

The fish quality was very good. Fresh. I just found the breading on the kibbeling a bit too salty.

Due to the very unfriendly service upon arrival, we did not order any more food.

Even with all the restaurants on either side, De Zeeuwsche Mop is an indispensable part of the neighborhood. It's the perfect place for a quick bite. The price-performance ratio is particularly good (especially compared to the surrounding restaurants). When the weather is nice, you can also use the tables outside.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit. It was particularly unhygienic that the bartender put the ice cubes into the glasses with his bare fingers – immediately after using them to wash the glasses in the dishwater. This seemed completely unprofessional and unappetizing. Furthermore, the kibbeling was already cold when it arrived at the table, and the fries were also quite bad. Overall, not a good experience.

Cafeteria in the city center. Lots of choices. They sell a lot of "vleesbek" (fried fish and chips) and "kibbeling" (fried kibbeling). The staff is friendly, but the service (on the terrace) via a pager is a bit impersonal.

It was our first time there because we were craving burgers. We each had a cheeseburger and thought it tasted great. The atmosphere is more like a fast-food restaurant, which isn't a bad thing 😉. The prices are really reasonable for the area.

Although this place seems more like a snack bar, I can highly recommend the fish. We had the fried mussels and the kibbeling. Both were freshly fried and of good quality.

We had a delicious meal here. We wanted something different, and the bami and nasi were excellent. Friendly staff 👍🏼 In short, highly recommended. Also, reasonably priced.

After a long walk along the beach, we stopped for dinner at De Zeeuwsche Mop for the first time. We sat down and ordered our meal (Frikandel special menu) at the counter, which consisted of two special Frikandels with large fries and a side salad. For drinks, we had two large apple spritzers. Everything was delicious. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. Finally, for dessert, we had a soft ice cream with chocolate (also very delicious). Highly recommended!

I had kibbeling and fries, but unfortunately, I wasn't particularly impressed. The kibbeling were very soggy, and the fries were rather average—unfortunately, they weren't the freshest you'd find in your neighborhood. The curry sauce wasn't very tasty either. It's a shame, I had hoped for more.

The kippers and baked mussels are very good. Food and drinks must be ordered at the counter and paid for in advance. The food is served at the table once it's ready. It's more or less a fast-food restaurant, but delicious.

The burgers are incredibly delicious and taste much better than in the surrounding restaurants, only here for half the price! This place is amazing! 5/5 stars!

We've been coming to Zoutelande for several years, and this is our first stop. Everything is delicious and the staff is always friendly. After a while, you get to know what you want... 2 Grimbergen... is really fun. Best wishes until May 2026.

If you're simply in the mood for typical Dutch snacks, fried and with delicious sauces at a fair price, you can't go wrong here. We'd gladly return.

Absolutely rustic fries/pub - for the classic Dutch table = red/white fries + frikandel etc. definitely worth a visit.

We stopped in spontaneously for kibbeling, squid rings, and fries. All three were delicious. The furniture inside is a bit worn. The staff was prompt and friendly, and the price/performance ratio was fair.

Very friendly service. The terrace is fine but not really atmospheric, just a fast food but the lekkerbek menus tasted fine. Good portions, well baked, salad on the side and for a good price. At any other restaurant you pay a lot more for almost the same.

Kibbeling was the best I have ever tried!

We were there in the evening, perhaps a mistake, because we got old fries (which had apparently been waiting in the bowl for a while for the next guest). I think you can still expect a portion to be freshly made and as a restaurant owner you have to throw something away in order to deliver good quality! We've also eaten kibbeling and fried fish much better. That's why this snack bar won't see us again.

Delicious Kipplings, delicious Dutch beer. The order is placed and you receive a chip after payment. It rings when the food is ready. Self-service. Neat, clean and tasty.

That old man behind the counter sends us away for no reason, we were eating and he sends us away because it got busy, I don't understand paying for food that we couldn't even eat, what kind of place is this if you don't mind I ask, is this definitely not recommended!!!

We have been here again and again for years. So far we have been very satisfied. Unfortunately the fries no longer taste good at all. Very small, thin fries. The fries taste like they were fried in old fat. Unfortunately, apart from the location, we can't recommend it any more. Very unfortunate.

Bad operation Owner was barking at his staff, really not good. You are being cheated if you ask for 0.5 liters of lemonade, half of which is in ice cubes, but you will be charged 6.90. Very unfriendly employer and unpleasant as a customer.

Our favorite restaurant since 1996 and unlike other local restaurants the quality of the food has remained unchanged and always delicious. Very good value for money. We always enjoy coming here because we have had so many positive experiences here 😊👍

We were in Zoutelande for a week. And several times in the Zeeuwsche Mop. Always delicious and the waitresses are very friendly.

Got 4 portions of kibbeling and ate it on the spot. Busy place so that's positive. Staff is friendly, they work hard. The dishes that were brought out looked good. My youngest 2 kids liked the bickering, my eldest was not so positive. I had bought kibbeling from the market stall earlier this week and I thought it was better (and a euro cheaper). The crust is too thick for my taste. The cocktail sauce was stiff, the garlic sauce was fine.

We ate there twice. Kibbeling was great, burger was great too, but chicken was nothing. The chicken was dry, the skin was tough. We complained about that. The lady wanted to let you know. That's good, but nothing more happened

Fish and chips restaurant (eat in or take away) situated on the high street. Good choice of fried food. There are tables insite and outsite on the street.

Good fries, ready quickly. But I felt a bit cheated with the kibbeling menu, it's better to get the kibbeling and small fries separately, it's just as much and cheaper. Because the lettuce was literally two leaves, raw vegetables, a cherry tomato and two slices of cucumber. Some of the kibbelings had a nasty taste, otherwise fine. Still hungry for quite a bit, but hey, settle for it.

Damn LEKKER! Very good Frikandel+French fries special, Bami, Kipkorn, etc. Self-service - like in most Frituur's - is ok but service at the table would be nicer. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy for a snack.
