I've been ordering sushi here for years, but today was definitely my last time. It's never delivered on time. Even if you call to ask when you can expect your order, I still have to factor in a 45-minute wait. It's a shame, I understand it's busy, but this is always the case.

We've been ordering from Bento Sushi in Den Helder for years, and the food has always been excellent. But after our last experience, we'll never be back. Our order of around €66 was missing some items. We only discovered this after we'd eaten almost everything. No problem, we thought, just call and it would be resolved. Nothing could be further from the truth. My partner was treated downright disrespectfully during the conversation. She was called a liar and then pushed away by a teenager on the phone. When I called and asked for the owner, I was told it was "unusual" to wait until after the order was placed. As if we would deliberately lie for a few euros after a generous tip and a large order. All we wanted was the items we'd paid for. What followed was an absurd argument in which we were dismissed as difficult customers looking for a refund. No understanding, no apology, no solution. The food may be excellent, but once something goes wrong, you can completely forget about service, professionalism, and decency. This was our very last time. After all, you order sushi not just for the taste, but also for the service. And that service is nowhere to be found at Bento in Den Helder.

Literally puked in a bucket of hair in a poke bowl We ordered from this place last Saturday. We enjoyed the food there. We ordered again, expecting it to be delicious again. It was the same with the first few bites, until I found a hair in my food. It nearly made me throw up. I called the restaurant immediately, and they offered to deliver two new poke bowls, which was fine, of course. That's actually a pretty good solution. Shortly after, my friend also found a hair in her poke bowl and started gagging, which actually made me throw up. I then called the restaurant again and told them I'd just puked and didn't want the two new poke bowls either. The woman on the phone didn't quite understand, and a short, heated argument ensued. I would have liked to see another appropriate solution, and at the very least, a sincere apology, since their food had literally made me throw up. An apology never came. Because of this, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a good meal. I would still like to apologize for the inconvenience. I paid 50 euros to throw up and completely lose my appetite.

I have ordered before, but today I think it’s the last time. And I want to explain why. First of all, there are flies in the restaurant, but no fly traps. Second, there were products lying on the table, it was hot inside, it was hot outside, and on top of that – flies. Third, the guy who took the order went to prepare the food, put on gloves, started cooking, and then when a new order appeared on the computer screen, he touched everything on the table without removing the gloves. Then he handed over the order and closed the bag wearing those same gloves. Fourth, ginger costs 50 cents – this is the first time I’ve seen this. You are the first place that charges for ginger. Don’t you find this funny or even shameful? Because I felt embarrassed for you. Fifth, prices have gone up, but the amount of fish in the sushi has gone down. And finally, for dessert – a hair in the rice. It was tasty, thank you. But before raising prices, first fix your processes and focus on making quality and delicious sushi.

best pokebowls but sometimes not always the rice is a little old but when u get good rice it is the best pokebowls theyre sushi is good customer service is friendly they are mostly take out/delivery there wasnt really any atmosphere then just walking in so thay gets 2 stars

Last time they were half an hour late, this time they were an hour late. They can make good sushi, but this is the last time we'll order from them.

Ordered food. It was supposed to arrive within half an hour. They were an hour and a half late. While waiting, I called and was told it would arrive soon. It wasn't.

Bad business, ordered food on time and after 2.5 hours still nothing, tried to make contact but the phone was off and after half an hour you finally got in touch, they said it was already on its way, I will never, ever order from here again

Order delivered half an hour later than indicated.....called...got yes it's on its way bye......fish is not fresh...vegetables look brown and cucumber tastes sour all in all expensive and wasted money!!! Only the boy who delivered it was friendly.Never order here again

Really late with ordering 1 hour and 50 minutes I have to wait until they are delivered. Really sad

Food okay service not okay. I had to pay €18.20, I gave €50.20. I only get €25 back. I said you don't give enough and the delivery person just left. I feel robbed of my money. I hope I get that €7 back tomorrow, if not then I won't order anything from them anymore.

Delicious food for a good price

We regularly order sushi here and always find it very tasty. It sometimes takes a little longer, but it's worth it. However, tonight we have been waiting 2+ hours for our food. Keep trying to call but getting no answer. This is very bad service. If you're busy, okay, but at least speak up or pick up the phone. This is very unfortunate.

I always order food here and it is always delivered on time and it always looks delicious. I can't stop eating every time I order here.

Just ordered here for the first time. I was extremely hangry, but luckily the food was ready quickly 😂 I had 24 pieces of Maki, a bit of salmon and a bit of tuna (no idea what it's called 😂) and soy beans. I'm a huge whiner when it comes to sushi. I do NOT find the sushi restaurants in Den Helder tasty and ridiculously expensive. However, this sushi was more than fine! Only minor downside: the beans could have been a little warmer. Just put it in the microwave at home and voila, warm! I had a really delicious meal. Staff was also friendly and very helpful in explaining the different types of sushi. In short: see you soon 👌 Update 7 months later: 6/21/2024 Just ate sushi, still tasty. The sake cheeserolls in particular are deadly tasty.

In the first year they had good poke bowls, but they quickly became smaller. When picking up your order, it is not surprising if you see the delivery people playing with each other on the couch next to you. Usually too late for delivery.

We think they have the tastiest sushi in Den Helder here. Freshly made and lots of choice, even vegetarian options! We always have it delivered, delivery time is a bit longer, but you can take this into account and we are happy to wait for this! The delivery person is also very friendly, even through storm and rain!

Waited over an hour and a half for one pokebowl. Irritated reaction when you call to ask where your food is.

It is super tasty every time you order

Just call more than 30 minutes after the intended delivery time. Friendly service but a lot of excuses about the delivery people. When the delivery person finally arrived at the door an hour late, the order was handed over without a word. That was no different because he was also busy calling. At least the pocebowl chicken was cold. We gave this company a second chance after a previous poor experience. Unfortunately.

I made an order several times and everything was fine, but today unfortunately the courier could not deliver the order on time (all this time I was at home , but my phone number is really wrong ), the packaging was opened and the contents were scattered in the bag . Unfortunately, the second not pleasant surprise is the presence of onion husk in the whole fried roll.

Tasty poke bowl. Unfortunately the gyoza is deep fried. Good food, friendly lady behind the counter. Staff spend most of their time on their phones.

We placed an order and after calling 3 times, almost 2 hours later, the order was still not received. How is this possible and then it says we cannot reach the delivery person. I have reported that I am going to appoint negatively.

You can't say anything about the atmosphere, we always order for home. Sushi is great! Sometimes the waiting time is longer, but yes... that also means that it is busy and therefore good. Friendly people, good food, not ridiculously expensive👍🏼👍🏼

Meerder malen sushi besteld hier, toch wel de beste in den helder naar mijn smaak... Vaak krijg je er ook nog een extraatje bij. De soja saus en wasabi vind ik alleen niet zo lekker.

Heerlijk gegeten en snelle service.

Eten was heerlijk en ik ga hier vaker bestellen en bezorger was op tijd en ze waren klant vriendelijk!

Al vaak besteld hier, tot nu toe tevreden over kwaliteit en bezorging. Nu karig gevulde pokebowls ontvangen, net iets meer dan de helft van wat er in de bowl kan. We zijn beslist beter gewend van deze zaak. Over gebeld en is volgens de baas altijd al zo. Dan zijn we uitgepraat.

Bestel hier vrijwel elke week, ik ben zo tevreden met het eten! De sashimi is heerlijk, en alle sushi met roomkaas ook. Heb nooit wat te klagen gehad en bezorging is ook top :-)

Het eten was heerlijk en van hoge kwaliteit, snel bereid ookal was het een grote bestelling en de eigenaars waren aardig. Ik zou het aanraden 👍
