Delicious, fast, fresh and super, super friendly

Yesterday, we spent a fun day out with friends, and then the four of us waited for our order. The food was delivered promptly on time and was still nice and warm. After unpacking all the containers and setting the table, we could enjoy all the delicious dishes. It was absolutely delicious, without exception. We did notice that some of the dishes weren't what we'd ordered. But it was all delicious nonetheless. When Annam Tandoori called us after dinner to ask if we'd enjoyed everything, we couldn't agree more. We did take the opportunity to point out that the order wasn't quite what we'd ordered, and they offered to deliver the missing dishes. We didn't refuse, and so tonight we can once again enjoy all the delicious food they prepared for us. So, a huge thumbs up for Annam Tandoori, both for the delicious dishes and the excellent service they provided. Absolutely exceeded expectations (which weren't low to begin with). We'll definitely be ordering from them again in the near future. Thanks for the service, and here's a well-deserved compliment from us. See you soon ;-)

I placed an order for delivery on Saturday evening between 6:30 and 7:00 PM. Due to the large order quantity, I discussed it in advance by email and phone. It was delivered promptly at 7:00 PM. All the dishes were delicious, with a wide variety of flavors. The owner even checked in to make sure everything had gone well. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for repeat orders.

We ordered there while on vacation in Den Helder and chose to pay in cash for pickup. Unfortunately, we subsequently received multiple calls from two different numbers and even contacted via WhatsApp, claiming we hadn't paid, even though we had selected cash payment. The restaurant was initially elusive – the main gate was locked, and it wasn't until we tried again that we found the entrance in the back courtyard. The service there was friendly, the food was hot, delicious, and absolutely reasonable in price. Overall, a mixed impression – good food, but a stressful process. Hence, 3 stars.

Distances for delivery mean it can take a while, but excellent food

I love the food here, it's been delicious every time! I often order samosas so when I saw the discount I was in heaven. Truly the most comforting food in the city!

Ordered , 9.15pm food arrived 23:20hrs , I ordered the grill mix, chicken was raw and taste weird, and the curry dissapointed.

Placed an order for €100+ at 8 p.m. with a delivery time of 30-45 minutes (they say). Currently it is 10:41 PM, called several times and still no food delivered. After they spoke to us in an antisocial manner, they have now closed and no longer respond. Extremely antisocial, saw no food, and extremely antisocial in response. Definitely do not order!

Ordered something here today on the advice of 2 buddies. There is a wide choice so it was difficult to choose. But I had a delicious meal. Subtle flavors and large portions so I don't have to cook tomorrow. A real asset to Den Helder! 03-14-2024 Today I ordered from Annam again after a long time and the Curry Vindalo was delicious again. However, a double portion should be 750 grams, but it was almost a kilo.

I usually order my food from them. Always arrives hot. My go-to dish is butter chicken masala. Chicken is tender and the pilaw rice is one of the best out there.

We've ordered from Annam Tandoori several times. Every time, it's a success! Delivery is always on time, and the food is always excellent! It's so much fun trying all the dishes :)

Bij binnen komst ging alles nog prima, kon wat langer duren want alles zou vers gemaakt worden. Wij hadden een gerecht voor 2 personen wat eerst in de tandoori oven moest en daarna in een curry voor € 41,50 Binnen een kwartier op tafel, per persoon 3 stukjes vlees en een vette naan brood ernaast. Aangegeven dat het niet was wat we er van verwachten, maar geen reactie. Nooit meer voor ons.

We received a very nice welcome from Sugu and ate delicious Naan, Chicken Rolls, Papadam, Mango Chutney and Chicken Tikka Masala, followed by a herbal tea. Everything freshly made...mmmm

Very tasty meal. Food was delivered exactly at the agreed time. Just a pity that the website did not state that the dishes already included rice. Now we ordered it with it and we had 4 containers of rice..

Friendly service, delicious food. In the middle of town, between the Main Station and the Ferry. We will return, next time in Den Helder!

If you want to eat deliciously, order the Biryani Chicken. To eat your fingers. But the Somosa Chicken was also delicious, as were the Bombay potatoes. Oh well, everything we had was delicious. We came in spontaneously and ordered. The chef prepared everything fresh and you could taste it. The restaurant looks simple, but the necessary attention has been paid to it with the nice decorations. But what matters is the food, it was very good!

Reserved for 2p via Social Deal for Saturday evening. When we arrived at the empty restaurant, it took a while before we were helped. There was a lot of talk in the kitchen and eventually someone came and quickly announced that he had canceled our reservation! It was strange that nothing was known about social deal and we had not received any message either. Apparently it was already too busy with the empty restaurant and the orders to be able to serve guests at the table... While we were talking, a new telephone order was simply accepted and the suggestion was made that we could sit down. but it could take a very long time. At that moment we already had one foot outside. Rude behavior and attitude from someone who thinks he should be running a restaurant. Stay away from here!

Served worst quality food. Served wrong dish while ordered a different one. I do not recommend this place.

The food arrived 3.5 hours after ordering after calling 69 times... the phone was always hung up. When the food finally arrived, we had already ordered and eaten elsewhere. We refused the food, hopefully we will get the money back. Otherwise I'll be at your door tomorrow! Antisocial!!

Food is definitely not Indian. Not recommend this place. Not worth the money. Biryani was highly disappointing. Also the non-vegetarian starters. Starters just had colour , no indian spice at all. Kothu paratha , meat was not cooked properly and it was extremely oily. Food was expensive, very disappointing, parcel chargers 2 euros ( we thought of not wasting food ) , waste of money. Payment machine had issues , which was not informed at the first and the waiter guided us to withdraw cash and we paid by cash at the end. This is not ethical.

not too shabby for a seemingly asleep town on Sunday evening. I like that all their curries can be customised to vegetarian. Although the gravy was very oily and didn't have your classic Indian vegetables (pieces of broccoli in veg jalfrezi). The breads were reheated/store-bought and cooked. The taste was otherwise okay and definitely much spicier than your usual Indian restaurant. The (overpriced) garlic naan had very little garlic in it and was broken up into tiny pieces. Was definitely not as big as naans usually are either. Not the best food I've had, but definitely not the worst either.

Slechte service en zeeer onvriendelijk! Eerste en laatste keer. Eten was ook smakeloos. Erg duur voor wat je krijgt. Kleine porties vlees en mega porties rijst. Rijst was ook overgaar en hard. Al met al zeer matige tent

Me and my friends ordered for 120 euro , and had to throw everything away . Me myself , I ordered two Naan breads ,one with cheese , one with vegetables and onion . Both of them empty , full of oil . Lint soup , also full of oil ,extremely disgusting . Mix mithai (12 pieces) dessert , which actually is not a mix ,only another disgusting cake cut in 12 pieces . I waited 1.45 hours for the order , just to have to throw everything away and start cooking myself . Never Again with you guys .. You got my money for nothing .

Simply excellent!! One of if not THE best Chicken biryanis I’ve ever had. So rich and delicious. Good portion sizes also - we even took our dinner to go and finished for lunch the next day on Texel.

Came there to celebrate something, asked what they had to celebrate and was immediately pampered. Super tasty, very nice people

Unfortunately I had to edit my previous review. A few years ago it was great here. But the last 2 times I ate really badly. The flavors are barely there, the food is burnt and overcooked and delivery in the sand takes more than 2 hours. After calling twice, they were supposedly on their way, but orders clearly took precedence. It's busy, they said. I get that. But we ordered at half past four and at half past seven there was still no food. Then it is better not to deliver to other villages or cities. And so bad and not tasty that it really changed our view of this restaurant. A shame because we enjoyed eating here.

Tasty food and nice staff. It's a small restaurant. I was there on a Wednesday and we were the only ones in the restaurant.

Never been disappointed by this company. Always tasty and very consistent. Definitely worth every euro because of the large portions.

Don't go in; overprized, and just not good; the other 1 star reviews were right and I regret not having bothered to check reviews before going in. If you care to read about how I came to conclusions similar to other reviewers who gave 1 star, below is my (short?) story of what transpired besides the sweat from the overly spicy rogan josh haha. In principle, the atmosphere was good.. the tables, the colorful reversed umbrellas covering the lights on the ceiling.. the wallpaper with dishes.. nice. We were the only customers though (surprisingly so on Saturday evening prime time); not very lively. The woman serving us was kind and asked where we came from - Texel but we live in Amsterdam... and if there are any Indian restaurants in Amsterdam...(#@$??) ..eh.. yes there are :-) We didn't look at the menu but ordered chicken rogan josh and because chicken saag was not something she/they were familiar with (!?) I told her that we'll have chicken danzak because I thought - as I told her - it had spinach in it as well. No idea why I thought so - because it doesn't .. but unfortunately she didn't correct me at that moment.. so when food was served she said "the danzak doesn't have spinach.. you thought it had spinach in it".. which obviously is not very customer friendly since it is stated after serving it. I wonder why the cook didn't level this with her when she forwarded the orders - knowing what we wanted - so she could come back to suggest an alternative or 2 confirm if it's still what we want. We were too hungry to let such thoughts play a part since food was already served at that point and we were hungry. I did ask to go easy on the spiciness (rogan josh is supposed to be spicy) but even so, here it was waaaaaay too spicy. The danzak on the other hand had waaaay too much sugar in it...and pineapple. The garlic naan was - as others commented also - spread with garlic paste (!) and I found that cheap, disgusting and unacceptable. She retorted that I knew what I was ordering. That came off as impolite. We ate because we were hungry but we couldn't enjoy it at all. At the end the waitress was kind enough to ask if we enjoyed the food so I decided to be honest and direct and say what I thought of the food (not very good or enjoyable) and credit to her for coming back later saying she told the cook because I hope for innocent walk-ins, that they show a willingness to improve themselves. For 2 not so well prepared dishes.. - not doing anything with expressed wishes - 1xtra rice, a disgusting garlic naan and 2 tonic drinks costing €57 in total.. it's clearly overprized. Even in a touristic city like Amsterdam they don't dare to ask these prizes yet offering better quality. Impossible to recommend.

Fantastic authentic experience. We had ordered online before, and it was so delicious that we wanted to come by. Didn't regret it. Everything freshly prepared, good ingredients. We now understand why delivery had taken a long time earlier, small restaurant with few staff, but that also makes it more authentic.

Echt niet okay. Smaken waren vlak, kip korma was smakeloos (plofkip?), slecht gekruid. Ruim 2 uur gewacht. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Great, colorful and super tasty vegetarian food available here, tip for all vegetarians and vegans! 6 types of fresh naan bread from the tandoor oven, the tastiest I ever ate, and the homemade pickles are truly divine! 😋I've been in Den Helder for 2 days and haven't had anything else yet 😆

We made reservations for the buffet. The restaurant was full and we were allowed to explain to our 3-year-old son that we had to eat at home. Can of course happen... But nothing has been done from Annam Tandoori to accommodate this. Waited 10 minutes in the restaurant and told ourselves that we would eat something else. Then it would be resolved, but again poor communication. Unfortunately not anymore for us.

We hebben gereserveerd voor het buffet. Restaurant zat vol en wij mochten onze 3-jarige zoon uitleggen dat we toch thuis moesten eten. Kan natuurlijk gebeuren… Maar vanuit Annam Tandoori niks gedaan om tegemoet te komen. 10 minuten gewacht in het restaurant en zelf maar gezegd dat we wat anders zouden gaan eten. Daarna zou het opgelost worden, maar opnieuw slechte communicatie. Helaas voor ons niet meer.

It was nice, the food was good, the samosa was delicious and the chili sauce was also mm. I also make them myself, but in Hindustani style. Spinach perfect tandoori yummy sauce was good. Rice too and experience.

Everything is as expected and the food was perfect, definitely recommended They also take allergies into account very well

Het is voor ons een eind rijden. Maar we komen hier graag weer terug.

We hebben echt zo genoten van alle smaak explosies in onze mond. Iedereen zou de Indiase en Srilankaanse keuken op zijn minst een keer moeten proberen. :-)

Hebben hier de Curry kip Madras besteld, samen met Mushroom Bahji(lekkere romige saus zit hierbij) de Curry was lekker pittig zoals t hoort( staat aangegeven met 2 pepers in het menu) als je het niet pittig wil, moet je het even aangeven. Heerlijk gegeten en snel weer halen. Eten wordt vers bereid, wij houden ervan.

Altijd heerlijk eten. Altijd sneller bezorgd dan de aangegeven tijd. Kottu roti en chicken butter masala dikke aanrader

Lekker gelucht in dit restaurant, butter chicken masala was echt super goed! Ook de aankleding in dit restaurant is erg leuk gedaan! Kom hier zeker nog een keer terug!

Ik heb heerlijk gegeten! Ik vroeg om extra spinazie in mijn madras en dit was mogelijk en ik was de enige in het restaurant en werd snel geholpen. Er gelden andere prijzen als je daar eet en dit werd later aan tafel gecorrigeerd.

Te slechte zaak! Slechte service! Moest 50 a 75 minuten wachten tot leveren en werd dik 3 uur geld willen ze niet terug geven! En ik zat met kinderen die echt honger hadden! En dan bestel je half 5 dus echt wel optijd... net gebeld en eigenaar is net zo asociaal als zijn personeel! Ik verwacht me geld terug want uiteindelijk moeste. De Kids patat eten omdat het zo vreselijk lang duurde!! Mijn keuze hebben ze niet meer en bestelde daar vaker!! Maar ik raad dit bedrijf af en de mensen ook! En zal het overal plaatswn

Wir lieben indisches und orientalisches Essen haben schon öfter bei Annam Tandoori bestellt. Wir hatten heute den „Tandoori Mixed Grill“ für 2 Personen (reicht vermutlich auch für 3 Personen) mit Papadams mit Sauce und Pickles lime. Alles hat ausserordentlich lecker geschmeckt (!!!) wurde innerhalb von weniger als einer halben Stunde geliefert und der Fahrer war supernett. Bestellt am besten direkt auf der Homepage und vergesst den 10%-Rabattcode nicht, das ist mir nämlich passiert, also mein Fehler, sorry. Trinkgeld hole ich nächstes Mal nach :-)

Heel erg lekker gegeten. Was goed van smaak en meer dan genoeg eten. En de bezorging zou 90 minuten duren, maar was een klein uurtje. We wonen ongeveer een half uur van het restaurant vandaan. We

Op de eigen website Murgh Marco Polo voor 2 personen besteld. Bij het afrekenen stond de kortingscode “voordeel” vermeld, waar we 10% mee kregen op de gehele bestelling. Snelle bezorging door een vriendelijke bezorger. We waren aangenaam verrast door de verschillende en rijke smaken van de rijst, curry en naan. Erg tevreden en zeker aan te raden!

Niet zo vaak dat je Sri Lankaanse en Zuid Indiase keuken tegenkomt. Toch net wat anders dan de veelal Punjabi keuken. Heerlijk gegeten; mooie curry en tandoori’s. Absolute aanrader: onion bhaji als voorgerecht. Erg vriendelijke eigenaars die je goed adviseren. Volgende keer dat ik in de buurt ben, weet ik al waar ik ga eten.

Ik was in de veronderstelling dat ik Vindaloo met kip had besteld maar het bleek de vegetarische variant te zijn. Kwam door de app van thuisbezorgd.nl die op de telefoon niet helemaal goed werkte. Niet erg, de vega variant was ook erg lekker! Goed naanbrood erbij en ook de Mango Lassie was lekker (goed bij hete curry). Op tijd bezorgd, vriendelijke bezorger. Doen we vaker en dan gewoon via hun eigen site.

Wij hebben hier gisteravond curry gegeten en dat was een succes. De rijst was lekker, er zat goed smaak aan de curry en de kip en lam waren ontzettend mals. De mate van pit werd op de kaart aangegeven met chilipepertjes en dat was accuraat. Als drankje werd Mango Lassi aanbevolen en ook dat was een succes - een aanrader voor de liefhebber van dikke, zoete drankjes. Ik zou hier zeker weer heen gaan!

Heerlijk gegeten en heel vriendelijk personeel. Ik beveel dit restaurant van harte aan 👍🏿

Finally there's a curry house in Den Helder again! I've ordered food here twice (once for delivery, once for pick-up at the restaurant). The people are friendly and the prices are reasonable. The food is decent, with large portions that include the rice. I liked the chicken jal feriji (jalfrezi), chicken biryani and the regular naan bread. A garlic naan was the sole disappointment so far. It was too much like a regular naan with loads of garlic stuck on top.

The tastiest Indian food I've found in the Netherlands so far. Full of taste, full of spice.

Goede duidelijke menukaart en snelle bezorging zelfs aan de camping. Keurig verpakte porties en goed warm. Alleen het eten gaf niet de Indiase smaaksensatie waar Indiaas eten om bekend staat. Dit was goed verzorgd en kleurrijk, dat wel maar kwa smaak erg vlak.

zooo!!!! wat een lekker eten, de mensen die dit bereiden weten echt waar ze mee bezig zijn. Over smaak valt te twisten maar in dit geval niet. Super lekker en goed.

Lekker eten, wel erg jammer dat we geen extra stempels kregen op de stempelkaart omdat we via thuisbezorgd hadden besteld. Reden? Als we hadden gebeld dan hadden we deze wel gekregen. Schiet mij maar lek O_0.

Meer als 5 sterren, de bestelling was per ongeluk bij de buren afgeleverd. Waarna ik heb gebeld waar de bestelling bleef, er werd gelijk een nieuwe portie bezorgd. Inmiddels de andere portie bij de buren opgehaald en extra drinken gekregen. Super vriendelijk personeel, en super lekker gegeten. 10 sterren voor deze mensen ;-)
