Fantastic place! The food is always delicious, and delivery or pickup is always fast. The owner also delivers himself and is a great guy! Always friendly and up for a nice chat. Really great!

The food is delivered in a neat box by a very enthusiastic and cheerful man. The fries are crispy, the meat is fantastic, and the garlic sauce is highly recommended. You can order delicious food here with confidence.

Terribly disgusting pizza, "4 cheeses" but only one. With a nasty base sauce. Other dishes were also tasteless. Delivered way too late on a Friday, food was cold. DO NOT ORDER HERE

It's located in the "old" city center of Den Helder. Check out the reviews on their website and the delivery platform; you'll find reviews from people who have actually ordered. I honestly have no idea who Edwin is... I've never been on holiday to Egypt with him... please keep those strange fantasies to yourself.

The owner and I used to be good friends, and we've been to Egypt 🇪🇬 several times with our family. Recently, I really needed to go to the bathroom and was about to burst (I always get that feeling after eating chicken soup 🐓), but "my good friend" wouldn't even let me. I blew it all out against his facade. He even stuck a finger down my throat to give me some porridge 🤮, nice and tidy, buddy 😈?

Very friendly delivery person who wanted to make sure in advance whether my house building matches Google Maps. Well, that's not entirely correct and I had also added that when placing the order. After a short consultation together he knew exactly where it was. The last time I ordered it took a very long time before my food arrived and it was lukewarm. Now it was perfect. I had ordered a canzone with extra cheese and extra meat. It was a gift to unwrap because the pizza is nicely round as it should be. Buttery soft (though cooked of course) crust. Not burnt and not raw either. Unfortunately I can't post a photo here because I definitely took one. (maybe this is possible but I haven't figured out how yet hahaha) I have read some reviews here and there but don't forget that this is a business where people work and they are not super mega big but they are always very busy and I completely understand that. Sometimes there are days when things don't go as well as desired but.... don't forget that these people are people too. Everyone has a bad day or a bottleneck during a day or week. To immediately reject this restaurant because of this, I personally do not think it is entirely fair. As I mentioned above, I have also experienced a lesser day at Sphinx, but even then people deserve another chance and I absolutely do NOT regret that. Order, eat, experience and judge for yourself if you want to give them the chance. If everyone is judged on a day that does not go so smoothly, almost everyone can write a bad review about their fellow human beings. I remain a loyal customer and they prove (even after sometimes a lesser day) 9/10 times that they are more than true after many loyal years in Den Helder.

Food was okay but not special, restaurant was clean but old and run down. The staff is nice, but unfortunately my girlfriend was groped here when she came here alone, so I wouldn't go here alone as a girl/lady!!!

Very satisfied. big 10! And just adopted as a granddaughter by the owner (70 years old!!) himself! How proud can you be. Very sweet man, always cheerful at the door. respectful. Real family man. Food always delicious and delivered quickly, no matter how large the order. If I ever feel unsafe in my town, I run to Sphinx. What a safe feeling this sweet man gives! Again 10/10 and if I could give more than 10 or 5 stars for service I would! I hope that this sweet man can enjoy his retirement, but all in all I really hope to see him at the door every now and then!

Just ordered 4 kapsalons. It was really disappointing. There wasn't much cheese, maybe 20 fries, and the meat that came with it looked like bacon. We ordered large kapsalons, and it was simply not enough for all of us. The container was almost empty, which was a shame... the only good thing was that it was warm.

Ordered today from sphinx. It was absolutely dramatic having ordered 3 large hair salons and 1 medium. Don't fall for the large hair salons, the container may be larger, but it holds less than a small one. The meat tasted of nothing and was nasty and burnt. There was no salad on it and it was at most a small drop of sauce. The service was also brutal, so to speak, the best man did not want to give the food, and it took a long time, 60 minutes

Ordered a large kapsalon chicken today. To my surprise, it was smaller than the small hair salon at Apple Mix. Also very disappointed after opening the aluminum foil. Little to no cheese, a few pieces of meat and a “reasonable” amount of fries. Even after the first bite it was unpalatable. It was tasteless, lukewarm and the fries were raw. Unfortunately, Apple Mix was closed today. Hopefully they will be open again next Monday. Never again at Sphinx for me

Ordered a shawarma sandwich....delivery has been taking longer than 1.5 hours....it is better to drive up and down after Schagen...you will get your food faster

Total mockery, After placing a small order at 6:15 PM and still not having received anything at 8:15 PM, I thought I would call, the order had not yet been made or was on its way. This is the second time something like this has happened. This was the last time I order something here!! Sad that there are such companies.

It was time again to order from the tastiest steakhouse ever. We had spareribs where the meat slid off the bone, really great. Pizza margherita always good, spicy chicken wings always tasty. Eldest daughter wanted to try the tenderloin steak. Well this was the tastiest steak ever she said. Had extra sauce again, all really great. Thank you everyone for our delicious meal and you for always making it fun, Dave.

We picked up at Sphinx for the first time. Politely helped on the phone. We had Pizza Hawaii with onion and a Calzone Shawarma. The staff listened to our pizza wishes and did so neatly. We got something to drink for waiting a little longer, which we thought was nice. Nice staff. We had a delicious meal!

I just had a delicious meal. I ate a T-bone steak and this was by far the best T-bone steak I have eaten this year, well presented with delicious fried peppers and mushrooms. If I'm in the area I will definitely come back here. You get a big 10. Thank you for the good service.

Waiting more than 1.5 hours before the food is delivered...........that is really too long and you only get to see that after you have ordered!!!! Average waiting time can be thrown in the trash because that is really not correct!

It wasn't cold. That says it all. Brutal at the door because I mentioned that the 1st order was dry and hard. Fries broke your teeth. I grabbed the mayo bottle at home. Last time ordered here. This isn't meat, this is dry crap. Looks like grilled meat from yesterday and reheating it. Bah bah

I mean, it is really the most beautiful and delicious restaurant in Den Holder. One of the most wonderful dealings with customers. Eating at Chef Ali’s and dealing with customers was very wonderful. Good luck and lasting success 🙏❤️

I have ordered a hair salon with chilli sauce a few times and every time there is no chilli sauce!!!!!

Late last night I ordered a Duner XL sandwich and I received 2 pitta sandwiches and barely any meat and fried cheese, which I did not ask for, I will never order here again, which took over an hour for the food to arrive. And it didn't taste good at all. Really bad thing if you no longer have any doner bread, call us or get another type of sandwich, half of it ended up in the trash because you didn't even taste the duner, I immediately felt sick to my stomach after a few bites! Resulting in heartburn and vomiting

No greeting upon entry. We sat down at the table and at first no one responded. Later it was made clear to us that we had to get the cards from the bar. The water is cold inside. There was no toilet paper in the toilets. The food was tasty, namely shawarma. The portions were big enough. But you don't have to do it for fun.

Eating and drinking was out of the question. Waste of your money! Dropped someone else's sauce and fries on the floor. Fries just went back in the bag...

Just ordered pizza quattro stagioni and received it quite quickly. It's a bit of a shame that the tomato sauce, peppers and mushrooms were almost gone because you really had to look for them and the salami was definitely not there!!! Enough cheese and onion, but without the rest you don't get what you ordered. If I had wanted that, I would have gotten a cheese union pizza so I dressed it up more myself... I have to say that the base was really great , nice airy edge that I normally always give to my dog, but now he had some bad luck!! If you order something you should get what they offer and what you pay for!!!

Ordered often but not able to eat the last few times and the customer friendliness is also below par. The tent should be closed by order of the municipality!!

A few weeks ago I ordered spare ribs and satay from the tenderloin here. The spareribs were burnt and the tenderloin was raw. If I had called we would have received new ones. Then the tenderloin was very burnt on the outside and still raw on the inside. I finally got my money back for the tenderloin. I threw it away. The one on the phone told me to fry it in a frying pan because it would be a shame to throw it away. We ordered spare ribs a week ago. Still not delivered after 1.5 hours. When I called, he could barely speak Dutch. He said that he had refunded the money via home delivery and after the last time he no longer wanted to deliver to my address. Apparently if the food is inedible you can't complain in a normal way, but you have to shut your mouth and eat raw tenderloin. The service is also very customer unfriendly. I will never get food here again and I strongly advise against this place, because complaining about food is not allowed, which has only happened once. And they can't stand writing a bad review on home delivery because they immediately put your address on a blacklist.

Ordered food today and usually we always went to pick it up, but today we had it delivered. We had quite a large order and we already realized it was quite busy. We were politely called by the boss himself to check if he had everything because he would soon deliver our order. The boss himself also came to deliver the order, which was very nice. We've known each other for so long, since I was a little girl. We are regular customers there because you can only get spareribs at the Sphinx. Ordered 2 hair salons, with an additional time. Then too late, then cheese is missing from the hair salon. Then you call and they say it's not right, even though it says on the site that cheese should be on it. Customer service is really bad and food is not good either. Will never order here again. And don't recommend it to other people if you want such a service.

Echt goed gegeten. Pizza pikante kip en Turkse pizza met extra kaas. Heerlijk vers, lekker en ruim voldoende. Hebben het niet op gekregen en namen de rest mee.

Heerlijke mix grill schotel besteld. We hebben er van genoten.

Heel fijn; je kunt er lekker zitten. Ook de muziek, het nodigt zelf uit op te staan en te dansen. De bediening is uiterst hartelijk en behulpzaam, maar over het geheel zouden ze je wellicht iets meer mee kunnen nemen.

Het Eten is goed. Thuis laten bezorgen is een drama.. ook al geef je een tijd op anderhalf uur van te voren.. als nog komt het 20 min te laat.

Bezorgt op de camperplaats was top. Een hele grote luxe mix grill wat er ook heel lekker en veel en goed verzorgd uitzag. Een aanrader.👍👍

Grote lamsshoarma schotel besteld, was geirriteerd dat er geen broodje bij was bezorgd. Eindstand bleek het mijn eigen fout. Alsnog kwam ze een pita brengen terwijl ik onterecht geirriteerd had gedaan, echt lief. Lams ook lekker.

Goede kwaliteit, altijd warm en binnen de tijd. Zeker een aanrader! Kapsalon met of zonder sla, is beide goed. Pizza's, zijn ook van om te smullen. Goed belegd, dun gekneden en de rand is lekker knapperig

Väldigt trevlig restaurang som passar alla åldrar. Handikappvänlig men boka för säkerhets skull i förväg om du är rullstolsburen så att du får en bra plats. Mycket god mat rikliga portioner och trevlig personal. Ligger centralt. Handikapparkeringar nära.

Heel lekker gegeten, porties waren goed en voor een hele mooie prijs. De sfeer in het restaurant is ook heel fijn. Bezorgingen zijn ook altijd warm en goed van smaak en ruim optijd.
