Delicious waffles in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Week old stale waffles at astronomic prices, a total ripoff. Avoid.

Grumpy owner/manager. Gruff and sloppy with the ice cream dishing. Don’t bother .

Sell fake "Space Cookies" with no THC in them. AVOID!

Absolute garbage. DO NOT GO HERE. I went in and ordered a chocolate and strawberry crepe. The bigger bald man behind the counter was on the phone and let me know it would be 10 minutes to make the crepe (there were no other customers and no one else in the shop). I patiently waited and he said it was ready. I thought it looked flat and upon cutting into it, there were no strawberrys (of note I Was charged for strawberries). I went back in and asked about the strawberries and he said "we don't have any". I had already paid when I ordered and I was irrate I just paid $9+ euro for a chocolate crepe. He said nothing, at all, about not having the berries when I ordered and while I was waiting right there. I didn't eat it and was offered no fix from the bald man regarding the berries. I was pissed and left it, uneaten. I returned the next day when I cooled down. The lady behind the counter today said that the guy probably "wasn't paying attention" when I ordered and would only refund me $2 euro (for the strawberries) because he made it for me regardless if it was wrong / missing ingredients, I was over charged and I didn't eat it. She kept asking me why I didn't eat it which I thought was weird as I told her repeatedly, it wasn't what I ordered and paid for. Save yourself a headache, money and go literally anywhere else in this wonderful city. This place will make your soul die a little bit if you even step in the door.

Avoid this place at all costs! It's absolutely disgusting 🤮 The waffles and churros are microwaved and served on a greasy napkin. It's a total tourist trap. Switch at all costs!

Worst waffle in my life. Tried it 8 years ago, but still remember how bad it was. Everything looks great and glazed on the showcase, but they will give you the driest waffle you can imagine.

I visited this place recently, and overall my experience was disappointing. The staff were not rude, but they were not friendly or professional either. There were no prices displayed on the products, which made the situation uncomfortable. I purchased two waffles and one brownie, and I was charged 35 euros, which I find unreasonable. I would not have minded the price if the quality had been good, but unfortunately the taste was extremely bad. After taking them home, I honestly had to throw all three items in the trash because they were not edible. For this reason, I cannot recommend this place.

The morning of 2 of September I got a donut for 4 euros. I saw the guy warming up the donut and I trusted it. But them I tried and was sooo bad....the worst texture I’ve ever tried, amazing idea of putting a donut in the microwave.

For being stupid and not asking the prices or looking at the reviews. 8 euros for a waffle drier than the sole of a shoe, with milk chocolate and heated just long enough to not be hot.

i order the same one as my friend and they gave me a diffrent one and i said i wanted to swap it they said you have to pay extra for the one i liked and the food tasted horrible and the said both of them were the same and after tasting both it tasted completely diffrent and the servers was rude they shouted at me wont go there ever again and it was over priced

Wanted to find an ice cream shop after our tea out, so we stumbled across this place. The ice cream was really tasty, good size portions (I’d read other ice cream shop reviews that said the portions were small so we tried this place instead of the one I’d originally read about online), my son got churros and because of the late hour, the owner had to heat them up for us, which wasn’t an issue, but because this took about 8 minutes, he gave my son an extra churro. My son loved his churros, I loved my ice cream.

tourist trap of the worst kind, 8.5 euros per waffle defrosted in the microwave before your eyes. prices hidden until the last moment, the seller, who was on the phone while serving us, charged us an extra waffle. It seems to be a habit with him. he ended up reimbursing us but with difficulty

Very nice gentlemen who helped us, the food is delicious. Also shows interest in the customer and gave us extra toppings.

A lovely place to get a tasty treat in city centre. The waffles were delicious and hit the spot. Easy to get here, very close to Nieuwmarkt metro station. Also, my wife and I got to the shop about 5 mins before closing time. We were still served with a smile and absolute friendliness. There was no pressure to rush. I would definitely recommend!

Abd is charming. Very good service and I have to say that despite not being a person who is passionate about sweets, the tiramisu was excellent and the Oreo cake was not dry at all and had very good taste.

Top 1 Fresh wafel If you look at the bad reviews from a year or more ago, and I ask the employee (Abd) who was a beautiful smile and very friendly, that the previous employees were very bad , the owner was busy with traveling and had many stores, and that was the reason for the poor treatment of customers by the employees.

The food was a real eye-catcher and tasted great! If desired, you could have the waffles warmed up and enjoy them in front of the shop. The staff was very friendly. The shop itself is quite small, which is why it is recommended if you want to take a little something with you. But I can only recommend it.

Bij binnenkomst werd ik meteen begroet door ABT, die met zijn vriendelijke lach en geweldige klantvriendelijkheid de hele sfeer in de winkel omtovert. Je voelt je écht welkom, en dat zie je niet overal. De wafel zelf was misschien een *tikkeltje droog*, maar eerlijk gezegd maakte ABT dat helemaal goed. Zijn enthousiasme en positieve houding zorgen ervoor dat je met een glimlach de deur uitloopt. Als er iemand is die deze zaak van 14 negatieve reviews naar een gerenommeerde topwinkel kan tillen, dan is het ABT wel. Hij maakt écht het verschil! Kortom, geef deze plek een kans – want met ABT aan het roer is Delicious Waffles onderweg naar groot succes. En wie weet, misschien zijn de wafels binnenkort ook perfect! 🌟

The one employee was nice but the desserts are awful! They've been sitting all day, they're not fresh, they pop it into the microwave for you and they are so overpriced. Definitely a tourist trap. The display looks amazing, but it's just mid pastries

I can only advise you against this store! After a great day in Amsterdam, we wanted to treat ourselves to Nutella crepes as a nice ending. However, the dough must have been spoiled because we both got food poisoning and had to deal with severe nausea the following night. We were served very unfriendly and were constantly on the phone while we were ordering and preparing the food. We paid 20 euros for two crepes. The store should definitely be closed!

You should give 0 stars here. We really spoiled our stomachs with a nutella crepe here. Apparently they not only work with completely overpriced prices, but also do dirty work and sell spoiled food. Not just annoying but really dangerous! Hands off the store!

Waffle had ants in it. And I mean like... 15-20 ants.. Some alive, some dead. Hadn't been microwaved long enough it seems. When I told the seller he denied this and blamed me for sitting outside! Absolute rubbish as it was throughout the whole thing when I got it and I was not high.. these were real ants Out of all the MANY places to get food in Amsterdam, this is by far the worst. About €10 for the plate of protein too.
