DEM Restaurant in Wijk 05

We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant in Rijswijk! The food was an absolute highlight – the Turkish grill was sensational. Every piece of meat, from the tender rack of lamb to the juicy chicken skewer, was perfectly grilled and wonderfully seasoned. It was a joy to sample the variety. The service was excellent from start to finish: attentive, very friendly, and professional. The ambiance is also very appealing and immediately put us at ease. An all-round successful evening that we can highly recommend! We're already looking forward to our next visit.

I gave 5 stars to put it at the top, in my opinion it is a terrible place, you know you get ripped off. 4 of us went, we bought whiskey, fruit and snacks and paid 300€ and although the whiskey was 35 cl, the fruit cost 60€. This is beyond ridiculous. I think you should definitely not go. We liked the atmosphere, but we were upset when we saw the price, because what we ate and drank did not deserve this price and we sat alone for 1 hour, so definitely do not go. Nothing else changed except the rip-off.

We had a great meal. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Definitely a place we would like to come back to!

It's a real shame that smoking is allowed inside after a certain time, and therefore no consideration is given to those who suffer from it. The fact that one of us has asthma, and this wasn't taken into account, was the deciding factor in us having to leave. We finally got the bill, and Oma 🤲🏼 made the disappointment complete. Okay, there was a performance during dinner, but we'd already paid for that separately, so how could we?

What a fantastic meal, real Turkish classics with quality meat and poultry, the mixed grill, lamb, chicken, kofte and veal were melt in the mouth and so tasty, the meze was amazing, both warm and cold, really generous portions and excellent service, a really warm welcome and very attentive service. Highly recommended for a wonderful evening out.

Actually, I was scared when I read the comments before going, but after experiencing it, I realized that the absurd things were actually the comments. First of all, there may be a very slight change in prices when there are artists coming from Türkiye, but anyone with a little brain knows that the expenses increase for artists with high budgets, so if you expect the owner of the business to entertain you by paying from his pocket, you will wait longer. I think everything was number 10, so my family and I would like to THANK you for the friendly service and delicious food.

I had to double check whether they calculate prices in Lira or Euro. It turned out to be the second. Incredible. Even with liras it is expensive.

This was truly the worst dining experience ever. It started with an excessively long wait—we waited almost an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and tasteless. My pasta tasted like a reheated supermarket meal.

In one word, great Turkish food

Scam! Never again! This was a horrible experience. The bill was ridiculously high, much more expensive than normal. They mislead customers and charge absurd prices without any clear explanation. This is pure scam! If you don't want to get screwed, stay far away from here. Unbelievable how they treat customers. Absolutely scandalous!

Absurd prices, the total cost of the food we ate including the appetizers was 120€ but the bill was 260€. Why did they charge 140€ for 2 waters, 2 glasses of wine and 2 cocktails? There is no drink menu anyway, they found an excuse saying that the prices are determined according to the artist who appears.

It is 1:00 am and we are not allowed to enter even though there are enough tables available. Ridiculous!

Even though it is a place we go to regularly, the attitude today did not please us at all. They said there was a tracksuit rule or something. Normally, we always go that way and when I got married, even though there was room, this made us turn back from the door today.

I have nothing to say about their humanity and interest.. It is a respectful and caring business, but I have never seen such a cold restaurant in my life.. It is freezing inside, I am writing this review right now when I come to warm up the car.. even the artist on the stage froze.. It is really not normal.

Useful to read this review ;) The sound was so high that we could no longer hear each other and it ruined the whole atmosphere! The sound waves were high and literally scratched our ears. We couldn't hold on for long. Too bad the person responsible didn't do anything with it! Just to clarify for the musicians: the mixer and equalizer settings were adjusted quite well, but the overall level was TOO HIGH! Apart from the sound level, I would like to compliment the musicians, mainly the drummer for his beautiful rhythms, the pianist for the beautiful double bass and the Turkish guitarist for his touching melodies. When I made a reservation they said that they would have 'özgün' music, but one of the three songs that the singer had was Kurdish. Not that I have a problem with that, but I say that clearly. Because özgün music and Kurdish music are two separate concepts! Food was meh, considering the bill paid! They are NOT CHEAP. For that amount I expected delicious flavors, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. This is not about what we paid, but mainly about what was delivered for that price! There is little choice and diversity in the menu. Certainly ridiculous that they also charge 'entrance' of 10 euros per person, on top of the EXPENSIVE PAYMENT! The staff was often present and the service was good. All in all, I saw it but I would NOT go there AGAIN. Hopefully this will be useful to future visitors and the company's management!

Delicious. Excellent Turkish cuisine. Very friendly staff. Chef even asks if it tastes good. Entourage must suit you. Large restaurant with live music on weekends. Recommendation.

I definitely do not recommend it, the prices are very expensive, the entrance fee is 25 euros for 10 people. They work with a ridiculous concept, for example, the compulsory 7-course appetizer concept is calculated per person and they take orders accordingly. We want a cheese plate, how many people, the waiter asks. Oh brother, we are 10 people, are you going to give us a slice per person, then they spend 100 euros, they exaggerate the bill and then correct it. We ask the waiter why we have to order per person. I quote exactly what the waiter said: "The owner of the place says that whoever comes here does not eat and does not save food." You are literally being ripped off as a customer. Raki prices are determined according to the artist, full pavilion account. For those who have never been there, I say DO NOT GO, it is unnecessary, expensive and the atmosphere is not nice at all. Of course, every product has its buyers, whatever you want to appeal to.

Heerlijk eten en super live muziek!

Met een Groupon (onbeperkt koude mezzes en een hoofdgerecht) hier gegeten. Toen we de mezzes nog niet op hadden werd het hoofdgerecht al neergezet dus we hadden geen gelegenheid meer om meer mezzes te bestellen. Eten was goed. Ik schrok me rot toen ik de prijs van de drankjes zag op de bon: 5 euro voor een kleine cola. Ik kon niet betalen met diner cadeau terwijl dit restaurant wel wordt vermeld door diner cadeau.

Eten lekker maar wat een dure drankjes! 5 euro voor een kleine cola. Wij zaten er met z’n tweeën op zaterdagavond om 19.00u

Zijn altijd op zoek maar Turkse restaurants waar je iig een lekkere kom Linzensoep kan eten. Ik wilde het hier een keer proberen. Zaterdagmiddag rond 1430u geweest voor een klein hapje. - Fijn dat in eerste instantie een mindervalide parkeerplaats voor de deur staat, want was met mijn vader die slecht ter been is. - overdag is het niet echt gezellig; het oogt donker, tis te groot voor overdag waardoor er geen sfeer is. Denk dat het savonds gezelliger is vanwege live muziek. - bij binnenkomst komt niet de geur vh eten op je af, maar van sigaretten helaas. - dure kaart. De Linzensoep was lekker, maar je krijgt echt veels te weinig vooral voor wat je ervoor betaalt. Mn vader heeft zelf nog een dure 2e kom erbij besteld. Portie friet was wel een flinke portie. En de gehaktballetjes waren niet helemaal gaar van binnen, maar misschien hoort dat zo. - dame die ons hielp was wel vriendelijk. Voor ons iig niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Afgelopen zaterdag uiteten geweest bij Dem. Er was een liveband aanwezig. Helaas stond de muziek zo hard dat wij elkaar moeilijk konden verstaan😒 Bij het afrekenen moesten wij 10 euro pp aan entree betalen. Dit was bij het maken van de reservering niet aangegeven. Heel jammer! Verder was het eten heerlijk

Wij wilden iets in de buurt eten en kwamen uit bij DEM. Je verwacht geen grote zaak met extra terras buiten. De clientele zijn vnl goedgeklede Turken. Dat is een goed teken voor een restaurant met een Turkse keuken. Terras was goed bezet. De lamskoteletten waren goed gegrild; mals en gekruid. Leuke voorgerechtjes zoals een smeersel met gepofte aubergine en een smaakvolle linzensoep. De bijgerechten zijn vrij basic en niet bijzonder. Wat sla en tomaat en veel Turkse pannekoek erbij. Less is more.. Een tegenvaller is het ontbreken van de drankkaart. Wij bestelden witte wijn en kregen te horen dat we een Turkse witte wijn zouden krijgen. De glazen werden maar half gevuld voor 5,50. De wijn was niet bijzonder. Personeel is vriendelijk, de zaak is mooi en gezellig ingericht. Advies: geef duidelijkheid en laat de klant een drankkaart zien. Dat voorkomt verkeerde verwachtingen. Je verwacht prijzen overeenkomstig de menukaart.

Heerlijke backlava, echt Turks met soms live muziek.

Zeer net Turks restaurant. Gastvriendelijk personeel. Ruime keuze Europese en Turkse gerechten.

Heerlijk gegeten en wat een super vriendelijke bediening. Hapjes vooraf van het huis gekregen en ook achteraf boden ze ons nog thee of koffie aan. Daar hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt, maar alleen al dat het aangeboden werd. Live muziek van onder andere de man van de eigenaresse, misschien iets te hard, maar wel sfeervol. Al met al hebben we een hele gezellige avond gehad. We komen zeker terug. Ineke
