Delicious chicken sandwiches, good price and friendly service!

This has been a snack bar for years, and still is. But SUDDENLY, you can't get Turkish pizza anymore? First, I'm told "it's gone" four times. Then the irritated old woman told me that a Turkish pizza isn't a meal, but that we had to order a platter. Even though pizza is actually on the menu. Keep up the good work and close your doors.

I'm absolutely not happy with my experience here. I've been here several times now, and every time the pizzas were "out of stock." This has happened three times now. Furthermore, the elderly woman who works there was very unfriendly. I won't be going here again.

My worst experience ever at Istanbul Rijswijk I've never had such a bizarre ordering experience as at Istanbul Rijswijk. I placed my order and then received a call from a woman who told me that all the kapsalons and meats "were suddenly out" and that I should cancel my order. It sounded incredibly unbelievable, so I said I'd just come pick it up. And guess what? As soon as I said I'd come by, the meat was suddenly available. When I pointed this out, the woman got irritated and suddenly I couldn't have my food anymore. I was even told never to order from them again. Incredibly unprofessional and rude. This was the first and last time for me. What terrible service and customer service.

The food was okay. The service was unfriendly, and even though we were the only customers, she didn't clear the table next to us, which had trash underneath it. The restrooms were also dirty. A few weeks earlier, everything had been fine; it was probably her son. We won't be back anytime soon.

After shopping, my mother and I thought we'd grab a bite to eat at Istanbul, a place we've been going to for years. When we arrived, a woman was standing at the counter. She clearly saw us take our seats, but refused to come over to take our order. In all the years we've been coming here, that's never happened; normally, someone always comes to your table. Only after waiting far too long did a young man come to help us. A little later, the same woman brought our order, visibly grumpy. When I asked if she had a disposable fork, because I prefer to eat with one, she replied in a downright unfriendly way that they didn't. Mind you, they also deliver food, so disposable tableware is part of that. Anyway, I thought maybe it was just out of stock. The order wasn't quite right either, but I let that slide. A little later, my mother wanted to join me for dinner, so she walked over to the counter. She asked for an extra fork in the usual way. To my surprise, I heard an irritated reaction from the woman behind me, as if we were asking for something impossible. She felt this should have been communicated beforehand. After much snapping, she finally, huffing and puffing, grabbed a fork. This is normally part of the service. If you want extra dishes later in a restaurant, it shouldn't be a problem. I thought her reaction was ridiculous. That was the last straw for me. After dinner, we went to pay. The woman was standing at the back of the kitchen near the counter/cashier. I told the cashier what had happened and that we're completely unaccustomed to this kind of attitude here. The woman heard us talking, looked at us, and then deliberately started calling the young man several times, probably to prevent us from telling our story. We've been eating here regularly for years. But after this experience, we'll never go back.

They have delicious Turkish pizzas here

Not the same as before; it used to be great. You've been so rude and disrespectful these past few months. With this attitude, you should close down. It's also evident from the other reviews!

We've been coming here for years, but today was truly disappointing. We had to wait ages for someone to come to our table, and in the end, no one showed up. The woman stood at the counter, gave us a grumpy look, and then asked from there what we wanted, even though we were sitting far away and orders are usually taken at the table. She remained rude the entire time, without a smile or a proper customer service. When I asked for sauce (which we always get), she reacted rudely and said it had to be bought separately. It wasn't even about the sauce, but about the way she treated us. It's a real shame, because we always enjoyed coming here, but after today, we won't be setting foot in this place again.

Got a Turkish pizza, specifically asked for it without sambal, and what did you get? Extra sambal. Also, the employee was very unfriendly. I don't recommend this place.

Caught stomach flu after eating a kapsalon

Tonight we ordered an Adana dish and called ahead to check if it was available. We also ordered two extra Adana skewers. Instead, we received one Adana skewer and a few pieces of meat. We also had to wait ten minutes outside for our food, and we weren't even asked if we agreed to this replacement meat instead of the Adana we ordered. We find this very disappointing. I will never order from here again.

Definitely a comfort restaurant, I love it! The food tastes better than most restaurants especially for its price, there might be some mix ups for the orders but the workers are really nice.

Lovely restaurant, definitely worth trying

Last week we waited an hour and three quarters for our food after ordering. This time we called again after 80 minutes and it turned out that the order had not been printed, so they had not prepared it at all. It was also no longer in stock. Another 80 minutes for nothing.

That was the worst doner I ate in my life

Ordered food and when you ask for the lamb chop medium it is broken through. Asked twice and still don't understand. Call and explain and they don't understand anything. Difficult to understand Dutch.

Food was fine, but we just arrived at opening time and they were still preparing everything, but it was locked again when we were done. Bit of a strange experience

I went there thinking it was a Turkish business, but it was very cold inside, there was only one person working and he looked very harsh. Naturally, the service was slow.

After indicating that they had given me half a box yesterday, the lady helped me with a fuller hair salon... Sweet lady, helpful... And good food... Food, nothing to complain about, that's great... Only the large hair salon could be fuller... Small hair salon excellent size

Nice little restaurant in the Bogaard. Good food. Excellent price and quality ratio. We were helped and served quickly, even though there were quite a few other people there. They really try their best and they are very nice.

Today I walked in and ordered 4 Turkish pizzas and the lady wrote it down and indicated how I wanted to eat it. Okay, she came back and said we don't have enough pizzas, I asked her how many I had and she said no, we don't have anything left. Didn't believe anything, the lady preferred to look at the phone, the place was already empty, I thought we'd go to Istanbul because we always eat there and never experienced anything like that. I think it's really disgusting about that lady, that's not how you treat your regular customers. I have nothing to lose, I just went somewhere else to eat, no problem. With an attitude like that, madam, you better close down. I will never eat here again, really low on you. That's really not how you treat your customers🤮. Greetings, regular customer for 20 years.👎🏼

I can't say anything about the food because it was never delivered, because these donkeys thought a Land Rover would make a good delivery car. Next time just buy a Toyota, then at least you can arrive on location.

Nice place, but above all good to eat

Kapsalon calf was inedible. And this is not the first time. Veal not tasty, fries bland, sauce has leaked delivered. Delivery person was friendly.

Food ordered never delivered and never picked up

What fun. I come here often and the food is always delicious. I had the lamb chops. Asked to fry them a little crispy. So good. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy. The fries are delicious and even the rice and bulgar are simply delicious. In short, a delicious meal again. Until next time.

Delicious authentic dishes. Placed an order for 5 people at the counter to take away. We were the only customers. After us, some more customers arrive and take a seat and, to my surprise, the dishes are on the table before we can take our order. After waiting half an hour, we went home with the dishes. At home, when unpacking, it turns out that a dish is missing. After telephone contact, this will eventually be delivered. Dear Istanbul, I miss the service of the past, the filled bags of fries, and some speed in the order.

Super slechte klantenservice. Ik had een kapsalon besteld zonder iets erop en alleen saus en de man heeft het netjes opgeschreven op een blaadje en krijg alsnog een kapsalon met alles erop. Toen ik vroeg voor een nieuwe werd er tegen me geschreeuwd en gezegd dat ik alleen mijn geld terug kon krijgen omdat ze anders verlies zou draaien om een 2e te maken. Belachelijk. Ik daarna nog bedreigt om nooit meer terug te komen. Geen aanrader!

If I could give 0, I would have. We order food at 6:30 PM, we live 6 MINUTES by car from here, so you would say it was delivered quickly. 1 hair salon 1 doner dish and 2 drinks You can guess it, it's 8:00 PM, we call and ask where it is. Indicates Mrs. Death is nice; the food still has to be made and the delivery person hasn't arrived yet????? Sorry, but what kind of retarded thing is this? As a restaurant you have something called service. You could call us to say Hey, it's taking a long time! As if you still have to slaughter that sheep and make that yogurt to make that Ayran. I will never order from here again Way too expensive and really crappy service Oh and it sounds like the owner should take a service course because judging by the reviews it is really a terrible store

The restaurant is very clean, we had chicken doners and lamb skewer, doners were nicely wrapped with crispy outside and the lamb was very delicious and juicy. Will definitely come back again!

One star is still far too many. I will never order anything from here again. Received the wrong cheap order but paid for the expensive one. Food was dirty and I threw everything away, then I called and was not helped.

I've been a regular customer since 2006 and I still often stop by for the Adana kebab dish (recommend) or a köfte sandwich when I need something quick on the go. However, if it's kapsalon you're after I can say that it's hard to beat the one served at Restaurant Istanbul. At many other restaurants the chips in the bottom tend to get soggy, but here they are always nice and crisp topped with quality shawarma meat, fresh vegetables and good cheese and sauce. Nice friendly service too from hardworking people. Love this place and I hope they will stick around for many decades to come.

Good food and service for a good price

Super tasty food for a nice price. Staff was very friendly and a good place if you are spending a day shopping in the Boogaard! I'll definitely return!

Found this place for a late dinner after arriving at my hotel nearby. There was no one in the restaurant and the service was super quick. Very clean place with a great staff. No frills and quick ordering at the counter. Good freshly made food and very reasonably priced.

Zojuist heerlijk gegeten bij dit restaurant. Vriendelijk personeel. Interieur ziet er netjes en schoon uit. Gerechten zijn heerlijk en eerlijke prijzen. Hier gaan we zeker vaker eten! Tot snel!

Slechte reviews, maar wij hebben die ervaring totaal niet. Het smaakte lekker, was verzorgt, tafeltjes schoon...en vriendelijk personeel. Normale prijzen. Het enige puntje was dat de tv (muziekvideo) wat te hard stond. Wij waren op bezoek bij mijn moeder (verzorgingshuis) vanuit de achterhoek en dit was daar in de buurt het enige wat open was en was daar verbaast over. Ben geboren in DenHaag😉

Erg lekker eten en vers bereid aanrader !

Het eten was zoals we bij Istanbul gewend zijn altijd heerlijk! Het was alleen ontzettend koud binnen, zo koud dat we zsm weg wouden. We hadden gevraagd of de deur van de ingang dicht mocht, de medewerker deed hem op een kier waardoor de kou alsnog naar binnen kwam. Dat was wel jammer maar over het eten heb ik niks te klagen!

Ik heb hier prima gegeten. Gastvrij personeel. Ambiance kan iets gezelliger.

Vandaag wezen eten bij Istanbul en de vrouw die ons hielp was wel vriendelijk. Het eten was ook goed en kregen aan tafel bezorgd, maar de Turkse Pizzo was wel iets minder royaal belegd dan de vorige keer.

Lekkere broodjes kofte en kapsalon kip. Bij bezorging krijg je 1x knoflook en sambal per gerecht. Voor de grote kapsalon iets te weinig knoflook saus.

Vriendelijk personeel, keurig schoon, en heerlijke schotels dit keer doner kalfs genomen ongelofelijk lekker.

We waren in de buurt dus zijn na jaren weer eens langs Istanbul gegaan. We hadden twee Turkse pizza’s genomen en die waren echt goed belegd met salade. Het gehakt en de Turkse pizza was ook lekker! Prijs iets duurder vergeleken met andere pizza’s, maar je hebt wel veel meer inhoud dus vonden het een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Als we weer een keer trek hebben en in de buurt zijn zien ze ons zeker terug voor een Turkse pizza of broodje/kapsalon etc.

Lekker eten! Ik had de kip spies schotel & adana schotel besteld & allebei erg lekker. Lekker vlees & ik hou van de rijst hier, echt een aanrader!

Smakelijk. De meest gevulde (salade) Turkse pizza.

Het eten was wel lekker maar is er weinig plek voor echt goed zitten om effe kletsen nee het is luek om je eten te halen en dan weer weg te gaan

SpareRibs waren veel te pittig en slap. Wachttijd was veel te lang terwijl er bijna niemand aanwezig was. Jammer, want het was best een leuke tent.

Heerlijke doner, smaakt heerlijk

Heel leuke en vlotte bediening en bovendien heel goedkoop

Ik kom hier regelmatig. Mijn favoriet is de witte rijst en durum lamssate. Heerlijk! Ook is het lekker en leuk om even binnen je hap op te eten! Ik vind de kwaliteit van eten hier erg goed!

Echt heel lekker eten. Personeel zijn nette mensen. Fijn restaurant!

Lekker gegeten en goede service

In het restaurant kregen we eerst een verkeerd gerecht geserveerd, maar gelukkig werd dat snel in orde gemaakt. Echte tegenvaller was wel de koude en redelijk taaie kalfsdöner.

Heerlijk eten, altijd vers en klaargemaakt op bestelling. Alles ziet er schoon en verzorgd uit. Bijzonder vriendelijke bediening, echt niets op aan te merken!!

Leuke bediening. Lekker eten. Jammer dat ze met de tijd moeten vertrekken. Ze verdienen hun plek in de Bogaard. Zal een groot gemis worden.
