Very nice staff and super good food.

Had dinner here tonight before the Direct in de Kuip concert in Rotterdam. Nice and very friendly welcome. The owner remembers the order in her head. Very clever. Extensive menu but still chose the Boerenschnitzel. Really, value for money. I can recommend it to everyone if you like big schnitzels, go eat here. However, the view outside is terrible.

Yet a hidden gem, food is always delicious and prepared with care, atmosphere cozy and very nice and fun staff! Just almost like at home in your living room with friends, but then without having to stand in the kitchen. Thanks again for a cozy evening with delicious food!

Delicious authentic Austrian food in Rotterdam. The size of the beer glasses and schnitzels is also like it is in Austria. I can recommend it!

Friendly staff, ordered schnitzel: it was delicious, but I couldn't finish it... it was a large schnitzel. Good food! There is also a terrace where you can sit when the weather is nice.

Went for dinner 2 weeks ago. Top snitchel ate, The owner came to have a chat and I thought what a great place. Until the owner left around 6 p.m. and left 2 girls alone with a packed shop. We didn't have any more desert and just walked to the cash register to pay. In these times when it is difficult to find staff, you have to be careful with your people and not let them down. I hope that this lady has given the staff an excuse or those girls a bonus for playing such an evening.

Had dinner here for the second time tonight, this time with parents and in-laws. We had a very nice, pleasant evening and a delicious meal again! Schnitzels & flammkuchen were great. Very nice, enthusiastic service, owner with a passion for her work and the food. That makes the evening complete! Thanks for the nice evening and see you next time! :)

This restaurant is truly excellent. The schnitzels are great, but my personal favorite is the pike-perch. We finished with the pavlova and it was absolutely amazing! The service is really friendly and when we come it is immediately a party. (Regular returning customer)

Old burnt oil, the real wiener schnitzel for 29 euros per person had probably been in the freezer for a year because it was full of freezer burn marks, the fried potatoes looked well done but were still raw on the inside due to the oil temperature being too high. The pavlova was served in a glass and sat at the bottom so it was impossible to eat the pavlova with the ice cream without pushing everything stacked on top out of the glass. They should better call this dish Eton mess. A pavlova is something beautiful served on a plate, but if your pavlova meringue is broken in the cupboard, you still need something. The only positive is the garlic cream soup which was excellent. The service is uninterested and rather full of itself. So no more Die Kaiser where you pay too much for a plate of garbage food.

That Kaiser. The emperor of scams and old oil. With the same money you spend here (€100+ for two people; starter, main course and dessert. Which contained a small cup of soup, two pathetic pieces of bread for which you had to pay extra, a veal schnitzel with fries from the old oil. And a full of spilled Pavlova with delicious sticky strawberry sauce everywhere; including on the cup, at least on everything except in the dessert.) You might as well go to a much more luxurious place. instead of going to this “glorified” brown café.

My girlfriend wanted to eat a nice large Austrian schnitzel for her birthday. That's how we ended up here. Tasty food and friendly service. We will definitely come back here.

Was always good. Schnitzels are getting thinner. But check your bill carefully. Ordered and ate 3 pork cutlets on Saturday evening. Had to leave quickly to the Ahoy halls. Silly of us not to look closely at the bill. Afterwards they charged 3 veal schnitzel. Paid €30.00 too much. After calling they just say they won't do anything about it.

A typical case of: "We didn't expect this here in South". But based on the positive Google reviews, we chose this restaurant with typical Austrian dishes. Well….and thankfully! We had a fantastic meal and felt like we were in Austria for two hours. Everything that Austria has to offer in the culinary field can be found here in South Rotterdam. From Wiener schnitzel (even from the veal), Tiroler Gröstl and Kaiserschmarrn to Sachertorte and Palatschinken. Service was exceptionally friendly and we enjoyed the hostess's stories. Nice to see how she runs her restaurant with a lot of passion. I can sincerely advise everyone to go to this restaurant. In any case, we will definitely come back!

Was altijd goed. Maar controleer goed je rekening. Zaterdagavond 3 varkenschnitzels besteld en gegeten. Moesten snel weg naar de Ahoy hallen. Dom van ons om niet goed naar de rekening te kijken. Achteraf hebben ze 3 kalfschnitzel gerekend. € 30,00 teveel betaald. Na gebeld te hebben zeggen ze gewoon niets aan te doen.

If you go for dinner on a Sunday. The service is dressed in Austrian traditional costume...The owner certainly takes the time for the people who come to eat there. We had a great time. The food was delicious.

Apple strudel was very good! Rest of the food 4/5. Service was fast/excellent. In terms of atmosphere, it is somewhat dated, but it is nice that the service is dressed in dirndels and the restaurant exudes an Austrian atmosphere.

I ordered a pike-perch meal tonight. It was so disappointing on my board. It was 1 ounce of pike-perch and 300 grams of sauce on top. They charge €23 for it. Never going there again. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone, what a scam.

What a good Austrian restaurant. Delicious schnitzels, home-made Russian salad. Beautifully prepared plates and, above all, very friendly staff, especially the lady with the red curls. Really great.

What a cozy tent this is. Super fun for the kids. Food is delicious! I have already tried a few different dishes but everything is delicious! The schnitzels are perfect. The chicken was nice and juicy with a nicely adhered crispy layer. The fried potatoes are very tasty and crispy and nicely browned on the edges. How do they do that?

We eat here often and it is good, but last night I thought it was a bit less, we were with 8 people and had made a reservation at 7 p.m. It all took a bit longer, but okay I ordered a bratwurst but it was so hard that you couldn't get into it with your fork. I took a few bites. I got a new one but the bad taste lingered. They also started cleaning up at 8.45 pm while we still had to start preparing dessert. It was also cold in the shop, so we went home because of poverty, I am not used to this from them. Also got sick from the food, 1 person, from the sausage So no De Kaiser for the raxi drivers for the time being

I visited after one of my friends let me know of this place after I complained that I cannot find a good schnitzel! Die Kaiser is one of the best restaurants I have visited in a very long time. Everything is traditional Viennese and very tasty! I finally found my favourite schnitzel and I hope to come back soon. The owner is great with recommendations so if you are struggling to choose the staff will absolutely help you. I also tried the dessert Kaiserschmarren mit zwetschkenröster for the first time and it was very tasty! I highly recommend this restaurant and make sure to make a reservation to secure your spot!

The service was perfect! While our waitress did not speak English nor was the menu, she tried her very best to accommodate us. I appreciated her effort and can clearly tell locals love her. The food was pretty expensive, but the portions were massive! They are known for their schnitzels; hot, fresh, and delicious. I will continue to come back every time I'm in the area. Please note that they do not accept credit cards.

Bijna een uur rijden voor ons om hier te eten maar was zeker de trip waard en komen hier zeker terug (maar dan met opa en oma er bij) wij hadden alleen het hoofdgerecht en zaten alle 4 helemaal vol. Helaas geen plaats meer voor een toetje zoals kaiserschmarren of apfelstrudel. We hadden hazen biefstuk, sate schnitzel, houthakkers & kinder schnitzel. Alles smaakte heerlijk. En de schnitzels slaan ze terplekke. De oostenrijkse gastvrouw en de rest van de bediening was heel vriendelijk.. Zeker een aanrader en wij komen hier zeker terug....

This business is a gem in the neighborhood. We live nearby and eat there very often. The food is fantastic, the service is always pleasant, the atmosphere is great, always good! People come from far outside R'dam for the authentic Austrian atmosphere and cuisine. That's why it was terrible to hear that the business is for sale! Incurred enormous debt due to Corona and received no promised help from the municipality/government. People, take action! Keep this thing going! It will be a great loss for Rotterdam if this case goes away.

What a nice Austrian restaurant this is! The schnitzels are delicious and they offer fantastic wines. You might not expect it from the outside, but on the inside this restaurant is a gem in the Netherlands. Keep this up! :)

Excellent opportunity to enjoy delicious food with an Austrian touch, especially the spareribs are of excellent quality and the schnitzels for which the plate is actually a bit too small, are not to be missed. Excellent service with friendly people.

A cozy cafe for a cup of ☕ or 🍷 if you get hungry you can choose the weekly menu 😋 or choose from the menu, this evening we enjoyed the delicious spare ribs (recommended) and dessert. Enjoyed it great 👍🏼we were 3 people

Currywurst, bratwurst don't seem to be the original ones. Flammkuchen (2 types) are too salty and the garlic soup was sweet(?), and also tasted bland. Too bad ...

I ate a gypsy schnitzel with fries and salad, my husband had schnitzel with egg, fried potatoes and Russian salad. The fries and potatoes were perfectly cooked and both salads were very tasty. My husband liked the schitzel with egg. I found my schnitzel lacking in flavor and the gypsy sauce not very tasty. And I've eaten quite a few gypsy schnitzels. Unfortunately there was little choice of wine, 1 white or 1 red, but that is forgiven because it was very tasty! Furthermore, a nice tent with friendly staff. What I think is really great service is the glasses of water that you are served with your wine and coffee. No investment but great fun. All in all a nice place to have a bite to eat. Ooh and coffee with cake of the day.....that is highly recommended!!

February 1, 2024 Went out to dinner with my husband for my birthday. We ate very tasty schnitzels. For dessert I had ice cream, when the waitress came in there was a burning candle in it and she started singing at our table, which caused the rest of the people in the restaurant to join in. Then I was congratulated with a big hug. Was sooooo much fun. We had a delicious meal and will definitely return. Highly recommended.
