Not suitable for work. I was told that orders had to be placed every 45 minutes and that I hadn't ordered anything for too long, even though I'd already ordered a full breakfast and lunch. I couldn't get a glass of water. I felt very unwelcome.

It's the second time we've been here, it's taken forever for anyone to show up. Last time we waited half an hour. Meanwhile, we've been sitting here for fifteen minutes now and no one has come to the terrace. Next time, I'll bring my own drinks; no one will notice anyway 😅 Update November 2025: Attempt 3. At 3:30, no more chocolate, so no hot chocolate on a day like today: Sinterklaas' arrival, cold, rainy weather. Poor planning of the purchases. Instead of making sure it's picked up anyway, as the supermarket is nearby. Then I ordered a matcha latte with white chocolate because they had it, but they didn't put any chocolate chips on it. When I asked for it, I got a cup with chocolate chips. Oh well. It must be our fault.

The atmosphere at this place is mediocre, the coffee was fine. I recommend finding another place.

Just what I've come to expect from Doppio locations. Friendly staff, decent coffee, and excellent food. Perfect for a cup of coffee.

Today we sat at Doppio's terrace in the sunshine. Luckily, there was a table with no dishes on it. I didn't use the ordering app, just ordered inside. The order was supposed to be delivered to the terrace. Unfortunately, the promised Italian breakfast tea wasn't in stock. Delivery took a while, so I picked it up myself. Almost €7.50 for a cup of coffee and a cup of tea is quite expensive.

Now we know why that place is so expensive these days: The boss's Lamborghini has to be paid for with it :p Back when it wasn't so obviously commercial (yes, I know this exists to make money), it was way too expensive, man. And ordering via QR code is really lame. A step backwards.

De koffie is goed, maar diverse gerechten waren op (tussen de middag?) Ook de verse jus d’orange was op volgens de bediening. Wel raar dat ik bij de sinaasappelpers een grote berg sinaasappels zag liggen bij het afrekenen.

Informal place. Drank coffee. A bit pricey.

Ordering via QR code at the table was problem-free... even when we changed tables because of the weather, paying was easy.

Cappuccino with extra shot, 4.80 EURO. Madness! Not worth the price. Regardless, the coffee was tasty. In Amsterdam you spend even less. It strikes me that coffee chains charge relatively higher prices than the 'locals'. I was reminded of that again.

Everyone has their own taste, but I don't like the coffee there.

Small piece of pastry for a big price. Cappuccino was fine. Beautiful plants on the windowsill.

We hebben hier lunchgerechten gehad, een met zalm de ander met kip. Deze waren smakelijk. De bediening was vriendelijk.

We had fresh mint tea with tiramisu and ginger tea with cheesecake. Both delicious! The ordering system with the QR code works well and the service is friendly and smooth. I think the acoustics are a minus. Crockery was being rattled in the kitchen, making it sometimes difficult to hear each other. Furthermore, there is only one toilet. The place was quite full, so we had to wait because there were a few people ahead of us. To reach the toilet you have to climb a few steps. No problem for us, but it is difficult to access for people with mobility problems. The tables were well spaced apart and we could comfortably look out the window. All in all it was a positive experience.

An excellent stop for us during a city walk. Tasty cappuccino served with friendly service. There are tables to sit outside and watch shoppers or other people passing by. Interesting fact; Until 1942, Folkingestraat was the center of the Jewish Quarter, until almost 2,500 Jewish Groningen residents were deported that same year. As a reminder, the work of art 'The Portal' (the bronze door) has been placed in the side wall of the building where Doppio is located.

Maybe we were unlucky. But nobody came for 15+min. We tried the QR code that was a bit buggy. We ordered online and nothing happened. Good thing we didn’t pay online already. Maybe explain this better? Next to us a couple also sat down and left soon after because nobody came. Menu looked good, though, and sitting outside facing the street is nice.

Special way of serving, 25 minutes later, you forgot your order, just like the bill change is always forgotten at the cash register, standard response, experienced it 3 times. I assume that not everyone gets such glasses and a dirty container, this is ridiculous. This way you get a clean cup that's dirty like I don't know what a shame

Chilly atmosphere and service nowhere to be found except for pleasant chatting behind the counter. After 10 minutes I asked if you should order at the counter or if the waiter would come by. This has now happened to us for the second time. If you want to sell something, walk around and make eye contact with your customers.

Helaas is een cortado hier een cappuccino met minder melk. Bediende had ook geen idee wat het verschil is. Melk voor een cortado hoor je niet op te schuimen.

Zeer lekker in het zonnetje op het terras gezeten. Bestelling via QR code besteld (en betaald) maar duurde ruim 15 minuten (terwijl het niet druk was). Koffie geen smaak en dat voor €3,20. Thee en de carrot cake waren prima. Totaal €11,30

Delightful café in the city centre of Groningen. Inside this place is really bright and cozy, with nice light and view on the street. The tiramisu hot chocolate didn't taste like tiramisu at all but all we ordered was good and reasonable priced. There's some steps that divide the space in two areas which are not crossable with wheelchair, anyway there's the entrance on the front that can be used for motion impaired. Recommended.

Prijzen zijn echt te hoog, cortado small is letterlijk drie nipjes koffie. Bediening wel attent. Toilet helaas niet schoon.

4,20 voor iets dat smaakt als niets meer dan warme verdunde melk, geen schuim, niet kruidig, heel jammer. Voorstaan haal ik mijn chai latte weer bij Bartista!

Very nice place to visit as the place is well located in a strategic corner in the city center. We had some hot drinks cappoccinos and it was perfect for a sunny winter day in the city. Recommended place to visit, well decorated and friendly staff. Staying outside and having the drink under the sun is wonderful.

Op een maandagmiddag met een knorrende maag neergestreken bij Doppio op het Zuiderdiep voor een lunch. Op de kaart veel lekkers, uiteindelijk een keuze gemaakt, gestimuleerd door de foto op de menukaart; vitello tonnato voor net geen 10 euro. Gezien de foto en de prijs, was mijn verwachting hoog. Resultaat; amper belegd en niet vullend. De smaak was goed, maar prijs-kwaliteit niet in balans. Voor de lunch loop ik een volgende keer verder, voor een kop koffie ga ik wel naar binnen; de koffie was perfect.

Very nice coffee. Good option for breakfast. Unfortunately no gluten free options, but nice drinks and great customer service.

Since Groningen has only a few places where you could have at least a decent quality coffee, this is probably the best place in the city. The quality of the coffee is extraordinarily good and tasty, as well as are the sweets offered there. It is also quite a nice place to work, with the good quality of wi-fi and no noises. All recommendations for this cozy place!

Recomiendo este lugar. Trato excelente y vistas a la carretera y a toda la gente paseando y las bicis. Está bien.
