Coffee Break in Centrum

I can't say much about the food nor the service. Because we came in, were not greeted, and sat down in the super quiet room. We almost didn't dare to talk out loud, it was so quiet. We actually had to laugh a bit (uncomfortably), then the other guests gave us irritated looks. Because as it turned out... People came/come here to work. This is probably why the music was set to the minimum and there was no speaking out loud. We came here because of the concept, which really appealed to us as vegetarians and vegans, but we left screaming (well, we didn't really dare... :p) without ordering anything. Not our cup of tea... Eeehm coffee, so to speak... Nevertheless, it is certainly a great place for students or working people to sit and drink coffee. Good luck with the venture!

A cozy place with a nice atmosphere to study and hang out with friends. But the service staff is mostly rude and it takes long for them to realise you want to order. You could order via QR code but the website does not list everything that the physical Menu on the table has to offer and it sometimes doesn’t work. In my case I waved at the staff three times and tried to get their attention multiple times by also verbalising I would like to order but they just kept ignoring me. After a good 20 to 30 min I managed place my order (mind you, there were only a few customers)with someone who obviously was annoyed I didn’t use the QR code on the table. As someone who also worked in a restaurant, I want to point out that I don‘t want to blame the place itself for this but rather the individual that doesn’t do the job they get paid for. I don‘t expect false friendliness but ignoring your customers because they don‘t order via the QR code that doesn’t work is ridiculous.

Unfortunately not very pleasant for us. Only students with laptops. Coffee with cow's milk is 1 euro more expensive. And then someone looks at you strangely from such a young girl. Not worth repeating.

Super nice and quiet cafe! Before I had to catch my train, I desperately needed a coffee and found the cafe on Google. I have to say it was one of the best iced coffees I've had so far! The coffee had a really great taste and was also prepared super quickly! Nice service and nicely decorated. It was relatively quiet at the time and I can well imagine that you could work there in a relaxed manner! I'm looking forward to the next visit!

I highly recommend this place. Here, people can sit in a cozy and calm environment and continue working with their laptops. The most important part is that sometimes the ground floor gets crowded. In that case, one can go upstairs, where it is much less crowded, and work. There may be other cafes in Groningen city center, but this is my favorite. One should definitely give it a try!

A lot of nitpicking from staff with a terrible attitude right from the start. Bad coffee and horrible service.

Really good coffee and cakes, but the prices are way too high, and the prices written on the menu are misleading (all the drinks prices are written exclusive an extra fee for the added milk, which makes the extra price quite exorbitant!)

Came early as soon as it opened, pleasant place. Delicious oat milk chai latte as well as the Overnight Oats. You can also order and take away.

A fantastic place to work flexibly for a day. The atmosphere, coffee and pastries are good and delicious. The staff is super nice and takes the time for every customer. The coffee price is a bit higher than average, which probably prevents many students from becoming customers. The only drawback is Friday afternoon. One of the offices higher up in the building is full of employees who are swearing loudly and vulgarly at each other. Hence the 4/5 stars for the atmosphere.

Cosy Café with nice vegan cakes (I think there has been 2 or 3 options). I appreciate that oat milk is the standard milk instead of cow milk - so the more sustainable option is cheaper!😊

Good espresso shots but even organic milk is not good enough, under the guise of a 'flexitarian coffee house'. Normal cow's milk is 1 euro (!) extra. This makes it even more expensive, 5.70 for a normal flat white. You have to specify if you want a typical cappuccino, substitutes are wrongly described as 'vegetable milk', and then you are looked at disapprovingly if you choose milk.

1 koffie en 1 cappuccino graag. Wil u havermelk of standaard cappuccino. Doe maar standaard, dat is koemelk dat kost 1 euro extra. WWWWAAAATTTT. Het is toch niet meer normaal tegenwoordig. Ik kom hier nooit weer.

Great atmosphere and you can work/study there, but 5.50 for a (not very good) cappuccino is really not possible.

5/5 for the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I think it's really pricey! On October 31st they had a Harry Potter theme in the store! Very nice initiative!

Very rude waitress, i was there to study multiple times, got a coffee and every single time they asked me to leave after i finished my coffee or order a new one. This has never happened to me before anywhere and they are also saying that with so much attitude. Don’t recommend

Nice interior design but very expensive compared with others. Service was ok but not good nor very friendly... Ordered two flat whites and were told they are made with oatmilk and you pay extra for normal milk?! Also they have no avocado meals like advertised in pictures on google maps...

Ціни тут вище середнього це точно не приваблює. Я замовила капучіно але кава на смак була ніби з сильно пережариних кавових зерен навіть з неприємною гірчинкою. Також я б радила додати мелену корицю для клієнтів щоб за бажанням можна було додати її. Бо коли я попросила посипати моє капучіно меленою корицею то її в наявності не було. Також побажання від мене як від клієнта, щоб дівчина за касовим апаратом можно більше спілкуватися з клієнтами та проявляти ініціативу, більше радити для спрощення вибору, та інформувати про ціни.

Koffie verkeerd voor €4,70 (!), verder is het mooi aangekleed en het personeel is aardig.

A great place to study. Lots of space, both downstairs and upstairs. Hannah, our waitress, was very attentive and gave us great recommendations! I would recommend the dirty chai. Thank you Hannah! ☀️

The service was great! Hannah was so lovely helping us decide and served us swiftly and quickly. I had the carrot cake (which is to die for) and a dirty chai with oat milk. Will definitely be coming back here very soon!

Sehr schöner gemütliches und überschaubares Coffee

€4,80 voor havermelk latte en €5,80 voor een melk latte. (Antwoord op eigenaar: ik bestelde 2 lattes en een cookie aan de bar, ik zag daar geen prijzen. Het meisje achter de balie selecteerde dit op de kassa en gaf mij aan dat dit €15,10 was. Ik vroeg hierop of dit wel klopte. Zij gaf aan dat een latte met havermelk €4,80 kost en dat voor gewone melk er een euro per koffie bij komt, € 5,80 dus. Of zij mij een prijs heeft berekend die ook daadwerkelijk klopt, tja, daar ga je vanuit dan. Ik heb aangegeven dat ik dit te duur vond en de bestelling geannuleerd.)

Sehr leckeres Essen. Ganz frisch zubereitet, die Wartezeit auf jeden Fall wert.

Fijne plek en vriendelijk personeel. De koffie was erg lekker. Ik had een latte met havermelk en het was fijn dat je hier een keer niet voor bij hoefde te betalen. Verder had ik een broodje brie en een carrot cake. Het broodje was naar mijn smaak wat te droog; ik had het liever met wat boter erop gewild en met minder honing en rucola. Dat kan je vast vragen als je dat wilt. De carrot cake smaakte goed, maar was ook wat aan de droge kant.

Great place to hang out with friends or study/work by yourself. Cozy atmosphere with nice background music. The staff is very friendly and the food and drinks are a bit expensive but very good. I would go there every day if I could afford it.

A calm and cozy place for a quick coffee break (pun intended) or longer remote working session. The food is delicious (especially the Humus Ciabatta which featured copious amounts of humus!) and plentiful. The service is friendly and forthcoming but at the day of my visit quite slow which resulted in long waiting times. I assume that there were problems that day causing the delays and that these are not the norm!

Nipped in for a late lunch. The atmosphere is great and the staff super helpful. We had focaccias and coffee, chilled for a while and got back on to a busy day. Perfect.

Nieuwe favoriete studeerplek. De koffie (die standaard met havermelk gemaakt wordt) is lekker, een laagdrempelige manier om eens wat anders dan koemelk te proberen en ik merkte nauwelijks verschil. Ideaal plekje voor ons arme studenten: je bestelt om 1 uur een cappucino en de rest van de middag wordt niet meer gevraagd of je nog meer wilt drinken tot de laatste ronde om 5 uur. Alleen service qua bestellen en uithalen mocht iets sneller.

Vegan-friendly cafe with diverse choice of drinks, snacks and meals. Great atmosphere, with many customers choosing to bring laptops for work purposes. Charging points are readily available. Free wifi is a positive and allows you to work more easily. Staff are helpful and friendly and speak good english, creating a relaxing place for international students and travellers. Loyalty card is available for frequent customers, encouraging repeat visits. Location is in central Groningen with plenty of bus stops nearby. A cafe i would recommend as a meeting place or somewhere to get work done.

Een gezellige plek om (te werken en) koffie te drinken. Goede kaart en plantaardige melk zonder meerprijs. Zouden meer koffietentjes moeten doen!

Afgelopen week samen met mijn dochter een capuchino en een taartje gehad. Word er gevraagd of we havermelk of koemelk wilden, beide koemelk graag, zegt de dame maar dit is wel duurder dan havermelk, ja duhh ga geen vegan melk drinken. Koffie was lauw. Taartje kwam 15 minuten later, toen was de koffie inmiddels koud. En dan nog de betalen rekening slaat ook de plank volledig mis. Voor ons nooit meer. Normaal zijn vegan prijzen duurder, maar nu word de koe uitgemolken. We leven in een raar Nederland.

one of the better coffee places in the city, with a friendly, well-lit and calm atmosphere. no loud music, which makes it a nice place to sit and chat with friends or a date. nice vegan and vegetarian options. bit pricey but so is every place these days. not a spot for hardcore coffee nerds in search of the strongest espresso in the city, you want to go to black & bloom for that.

I went to this place for a coffee (by the way I'm a crazy coffee lover),I was there with my best friend..I came to Netherlands to visit her,so while we were walking down the city she recomended the place)That was the first time when I felt in love with loft style)The place is so airy ,comfy and relaxing)Staff men was so nice )He recomended us to try their chesecake and of course the coffee wich from my point of view was the most fragnant and delicious one in the Groningen)One of my best memories of my trip)Surely recommend to come by there)

Veel te lang gewacht op het eten (35 min), het eten was prijzig en middelmatig. Niet eens een verontschuldiging ontvangen voor het lange wachten. Er zijn in Groningen betere plekken!

Dat er veel mensen rond lopen die goed bezig willen zijn met vitaminen is natuurlijk goed. Maar dat kan je het recht wil geven om de prijs grof omhoog te laten schieten. 9 euro voor twee kopjes cappachino 1 euro extra om dat je gewone melk wilt hebben. Voor de rest voel je je wel lekker? zonder schotel of koekje. En ze laten je rustig 15 min op wachten voor ze je een rip uit je lijf trekken. Ik weet niet wie die prijs heeft verzonnen maar dit is toch echt helemaal zot.

Guter Kaffee und leckere Kleinigkeiten beim gemütlichem Ambiente. Sind hier zum wiederholten Male angehalten.
