Douglas Delights has retired. The pastries were beyond delicious. Owner and pastry chef Carle Douglas personally managed the business, guaranteeing top quality. We'll miss him.

This workshop was another pure delight. I've been coming to Carle for 14 years, and the first time was to have a cake baked for a birthday. Never too sweet or too rich, the flavors are pure and always so beautifully balanced. And you also get Carle's caring side.

Everything is delicious here 🤩 so happy its 2 min away from my home! Addicted.

I just finished the Cursus patisserie intensief with Carle. It was an amazing experience - a lot of useful information, techniques, and good advice from a professional. The end results from the course were "wow, did I make that myself" and I should not even comment on the taste since they were so delicious!!!! Carle is a person who can inspire you only by looking at him how much passion he puts in everything he does and how much knowledge he has! If you like baking, you will be in heaven for 4 days!!!

Ongelofelijk leerzame workshop met de superfijne kneepjes en alle aandacht voor details! Aan finesse en kreatieve aandacht doet deze Meester pattisier geen consessies. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is uitsteken, wij komen beslist terug voor verdieping, dank je Carle

Very delicious cakes and tasty pastries! Try the carrot cake! Very friendly owner and nice, welcoming vibe. Also at a very central, yet quiet location in the busy centre of Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

Douglas is the best! He made a beautiful chocolate cake for my friends birthday and it tasted amazing! I highly recommend his macaroons and anything chocolate! Can’t wait to go back for a class and more desserts!!

I go to Douglas Delights as the name says it all. Not only all the wonderful delights of cakes, torts, macaroons, eclairs and much much more; but Carl is a delight in himself. He always recognizes me and I am greeted warmly by Carl as if I was an old friend. Now that shows passion for what he does. This passion comes across in everything he does from a lovely afternoon tea cake to a brilliant three tiered wedding cake he can do it all with style. Ongekend verrast en gepast. Carl Douglas heeft in de lange rij van door mij bezochte patissiers mijn hart gestolen met de liefde, uitvoering en aandacht waarmee hij mijn bestelling heeft begrepen, naar zijn hand gezet en gepresenteerd. Een verwend publiek van taartjeseters sloeg steil achterover van het gebodene. Visueel bijzonder aantrekkelijk, verleidelijk. En als besluit van een copieuze maaltijd had Carl zijn gebakjes heel licht verteerbaar weten te maken. De Glucose en Lactose vrije variant van Macaron met Koffie en whiskey was al op voor ik een foto kon maken van de patiënt. Dat was misschien nog wel het grootste compliment dat Carl kon krijgen na het vele werk dat hij daar aan had gehad. Fantastisch ! En bedankt Carl.

Heerlijk gebak taarten en dessert met passie bereid.

Knus, kleine groep, goed te bereiken zowel met eigen vervoer als ov.fijne ervaring.

I registered for the macaron workshop. We were with the three of us and Carl. Carl is a warm, open and kind man who explained everything very well and we got to do everything ourselves as well. I can't wait to try and make Macarons at home. If you are looking for an almost private workshop and where you get to actually try every step to making your own Macarons; Douglas Delights is the place to be. I not only now know how to make Macarons, but I have also made new friends. Thank you for this amazing evening.
