What a disappointment. The bacon and cheese pancake. The cheese was hard and salty. I'd recommend not using grated cheese. Just add a few slices of real cheese and let it melt slowly. And make pancakes on the stovetop, not in a carousel. !! It's also a shame there's no syrup on the table. You get a pre-measured bag of syrup. Very "cheap."

I'm not really one to complain, but the fries were really salty, the sushi was warm and disgusting, and the bread was very tough. So I recommend something else. xxxtim creuner

Friendly service and the food was ready quickly. The pancakes were delicious, but the chicken satay wasn't anything special. It was expensive, especially considering the quality. Parking is available nearby (for a fee) in a dark, unlit area.

Only ones in the restaurant. Got seated and no one came up to us for 15 min so we just left. Vibes were very weird, no workers were visible at all. So odd

After a lovely walk in the Waterleiding Dunes, we enjoyed a delicious drink and pancakes. Mine with ginger was fantastic. My wife had cheese, which was also delicious.

A very nice little restaurant. Beautifully decorated for the season. No complaints about the service. And the food was delicious.

We had dinner on Tuesday evening through Social Deal. The food was good, the service was excellent, and they were mindful of the time between courses so we could bottle-feed our baby.

Delicious pancakes! But they overcharged me when I asked for a glass of tap water and a latte (which meant I had to pay for an extra shot of coffee, even though it supposedly wasn't included in the drink).

The food was surprisingly delicious. Besides meat dishes, the menu naturally also included various fish and seafood dishes. I had a beautiful cod fillet, super fresh and delicious. My wife had a plaice, which she also enjoyed very much. I don't usually mention wine in reviews, but the Tempranillo I had (red wine with fish? Yes, I like it!) was remarkably good and tasty. The service was excellent and very attentive. In short, a truly wonderful experience.

A great place to relax after a walk in the dunes. Beautiful location and friendly staff. However I wasn’t impressed by the food. Ordered a cheese and mushroom pancake that had no flavour except for a greasy burned aftertaste. Drink was somewhat overpriced.

Nice place, friendly service, but we had to wait a long time for our nachos. They were soggy from the moment they arrived, and they weren't tasty either. We think this was partly due to the cheddar "cheese," which seemed to come from a bottle or tube. Crème fraiche and guacamole weren't included, which we felt was a real shame. The ground meat that was on them was tasty, though. But we won't be ordering this dish again in its current form.

The place looks nice from a distance. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice dirty tables and the friendly service. Unfortunately, the pancakes are very greasy—you can get much better ones elsewhere!

If my partner and I each order a drink and fries, why are we required to order something extra? Be clear about that in your menu description. There's no mention of a minimum serving size. Especially considering the goal of combating food waste, that seems like a strange rule. Perhaps increase the price of the fries, but be transparent and update both the website and the menu. Currently, the selection there also differs from what's on the menu. Such a shame.

Compared to Duinrand, roughly 25 years ago, much has changed. It's cluttered, less atmosphere, and the pancakes aren't quite as thoroughly cooked. But it's still a beautiful location.

Our experience is very bad, pancake with bacon where the bacon was inedible, salty and burnt Pancake bacon onion, there was no onion on it (paid for) and also inedible so salty and burnt In addition, bags of syrup that you can't open without using your teeth A bottle of Heineken with a warm beer glass! In short, very bad, last time there!

I would do something about tidying up, cleaning and replacing the pillows and menus. Then maybe these prices are justified. Nice place but completely run down.

Great food, really great pancakes after a walk. Service is young and inexperienced. Serving a tray above a baby's head is really a no go as far as I'm concerned. Outside you can sit fine, but a little above us there was a smelly leak of water so we were moved.

Disgusting! Rats are running around between the tables on the terrace, and mice are sitting on the tables in the restaurant and wandering unmolested through the dining room. Apparently, the staff can't do anything about it because of the adjacent nature reserve. Never again!!

We wanted to come here for an early lunch with our child. Unfortunately, the kitchen doesn't open until 11:30 a.m. There was no mention of this online, and we weren't told until after we ordered drinks. But cake was already available and delicious. It's a shame, we would have liked to have pancakes.

Cool location, OK food, friendly service – but they could take a broom and clean up the guest area a bit, wipe down the tables so you don't accidentally take the table with you when you get up, and maybe wipe down the chairs to stop the bird droppings from drying out completely. It's really cool if you get cutlery with your meal and don't have to organize it yourself. Otherwise, nice people and a cool location – it has real potential; with little effort, you could give it 5 stars. Actually, 3 stars would have been fair, but it ended up being 4 because of the friendliness...

The best place for a nice walk in Waterleiding and afterwards a meal here. They got great starters, burgers and amazing choice of tasty pancakes. Good service, food comes quick and atmosphere is very cozy with the lights above you when you’re inside. We come here often :)

Shocking place! There were mice running around on the floor AND ON THE TABLES! Reported to the staff but they said it was normal! They were so close to the forest. This restaurant should be closed, if there is any food inspection in the Netherlands?

I think it is a faded glory at the moment, there are a lot of mice there...just walking through the restaurant. People have been saying for years that renovations or a new building would be built, but it is now just sitting in disrepair Do something with it

Very bad and expensive! Been coming here for a long time, but the last experience was downright awful. We had to wait 25 minutes before we could order something. To think that after 15 minutes I went to the toilet and the employee asked me if I wanted to pay for the toilet. To which I replied, I am sitting on the terrace, which was good. We ended up having to wait another 10 minutes for our order time. Occupancy was 50%. Unfortunately, the friendliness did not shine through when the waitress came to take our order. Ultimately ordered 2 cappuccinos, 1 coke, 1 ice cream and 2 apple pies (frozen and tasteless). All this for a cheap 26 euros. In short, expensive, dirty and bad service! Never never again.

I wanted to have something to eat and drink with two children, it was very quiet at the restaurant. First we had something to drink. The glass of hot chocolate with whipped cream was only half full and with cheap spray can whipped cream. Afterwards the children wanted something to eat. The menu includes fries with mayonnaise (€5), which is what the children wanted. We were told that you cannot order this separately without a dish, no exception. Last time the service was not great and there were mice everywhere (especially in the ceiling above the tables). I used to come here regularly, but I won't be going here anytime soon. How this place has deteriorated.

Everything is tip top! Anyone who likes it difficult will get their money's worth here. Every palate will be satisfied.

The paper menu (A4) was dirty and with grease stains. The bacon pancake was mostly covered in black burnt bacon. Moreover, it was a mealy pancake. The rosé was sparkling but had a sherry-like taste. This happens when the cork sucks air. Moreover, the interior could use a freshening up!

I just had dinner here with friends of mine…yuck! 3 times yuck!!! Ordered eggs benedict with salmon. Those eggs were hard boiled and not fresh, and salmon was not fresh at all either. So no lunch and an “oh, too bad” from the grumpy waitress topped it off. If you want stomach pain and bad food, this is the place to be.

The food was very nice (pancake), but the dough in the middle was not fully cooked. The atmosphere was pleasant, but we were cold and it remained cold. We found it hilarious that the mice were apparently not scared enough to look for food while we were eating. We had mentioned this, the waitress indicated that this was because we were sitting at the edge of the dunes. But in the course of 20 years of occasionally having a bite to eat there, I have never seen mice walking around.

Don't take Club Dune. You expect a club sandwich and get a substandard baguette that has nothing to do with a club sandwich. This product should not cost 13 euros. Half of this would have been too much.

Called today to make a reservation for lunch with family with someone in a wheelchair. It was said there was only room for 2 wheelchairs but they would look. Then she said that they only accept 1 wheelchair.....accept what kind of comment is that? Really scandalous

The service was not up to par. After more than 30 minutes we had to go inside to order, even though they promised that they would come to us. The drinks came quickly, but the snacks took a long time. They were tasty, but after a long time we had to ask for the bill ourselves. The tables around us were dirty and uncluttered during our entire visit.

Wanted to have lunch with my disabled daughter who is wheelchair bound, unfortunately they said on the phone that only 1 wheelchair was accepted and someone was already coming in a wheelchair so we were not welcome.

Were here with our 2 grandkids. Service was great, pancakes were absolutely great. While we were still working on the delicious pancakes, the kids had already eaten them. Definitely recommended.

Take the ciabatta with 1 slice of eggplant, 2 slices of tomato, sour yellow spread? And a mini egg prepared in a mini round? Not. After I asked if this was really the sandwich I ordered or if the chef had perhaps made a mistake, I was told that this was how it was served. On old bread. It was downright disgusting! 🤢 take it off the menu because it's shameful that you charge €14 for that. My friend's chicken sandwich was drenched in sauce and served cold. We often go for a walk there, but unfortunately won't return for lunch. Too bad, because it's a very nice place. Feedback was also given to staff, but I didn't get the impression that they were going to do anything with it.

A nice place with a cozy feeling, we only had a drink there. The whipped cream on the chocolate milk is one of the best I have ever tasted. Located next to the entrance to the water supply dunes where you can encounter deer roaming freely in the park. They are not shy and do not care much about the people walking around.

Service could be better, less rushed. Been coming here for a long time, the atmosphere is always nice. The food is good.

It was very busy. It took quite a while before it was our turn. The food was disappointing. Nachos were too soggy and not very warm. It is a nice place to have a drink.

located in a great spot but what an unkempt restaurant including terrace!! sticky tables, well-thumbed paper menu, dusty Christmas decorations, black painted wood, making it unclear whether it is cleaned at all. Coffee and tea are served without saucers, sugar and spoons that are too short (which you have to fish out of your mint tea or café au lait) are placed in a glass in front of you together with the cookies. As an owner you cannot be proud of this.

We come here often after a day of photography in de AWD. The food is alright. You have less to choose from in the morning until lunch. But enough to choose from from lunch to closing time. The food that I had in the past was okay. The burger is nice. Also pancakes are large enough for most ( I need at least two after a day of strolling through the dunes ) The variety of pancakes is massive. So no complaints here. If you go with a larger group ( say 20 persons ) you can reserve tables. The staff however is not always representative. For instance...you get your coffee and pancakes on the table from one person...with nothing said! While the other waiter is very polite and says " enjoy the food" and regularly asks if she can get us anything else. ( I think it's an age thing ) The place itself has a vibe...but the owner does not maintains the building very well....and that sometimes kills the vibe. I will come here again....just for the sake of convenience ( is close to the entrance/exit of the AWD )

Very long wait for service and then also for drinks. We sat outside on the terrace next to the playground where you are not actually allowed to smoke. This was indicated by the service but then allowed by the service, which meant that we and our children were exposed to the stench. Overall a disappointing experience.

Heating did not work, light above the table did not work, a machine did not work, so there was no tea, hot chocolate or oat milk. When ordering the pie, it turned out that there was only one piece of pecan caramel pie left (around lunch time). At dinner there was no more Rivella, no double of a certain brand, not triple either, actually none of that brand. We ordered bread in advance and received five sandwiches for six people. We received a sandwich upon request. We paid 7 euros for this. On the menu there was a burger marked as vegetarian, which consisted of fish, which only became clear when the food was served. Service very friendly and helpful, but I didn't know that fish is not vegetarian. Received nothing in compensation. They also didn't know the difference between pepper sauce and mushroom sauce, which caused confusion when serving. The schnitzel was very tender. Only you don't get fries with it. You have to order this separately as a side dish, which brings the schnitzel to 27.50 euros. The menu and prices there do not match the menu on site (some wrinkled A4's on a clipboard). The fried mushrooms and onions smelled sour, the taste wasn't too bad. Cost 4.50 extra. These, the meat and the fries were cold quickly because they were not served in/on preheated bowls or plates. The bamboo (?) plates and bowls looked nice. Didn't have dessert.

Delicious pizzas. Fast and friendly service despite being busy... So all the pancake restaurant Oase closes its kitchen due to crowds. Don't panic. They are much tastier here

The place is really loud is placed by the street, there are to many bees and flies that come by your table all the time. The drinks were served aggressively.

We were there on a family vacation with 9 people (6 adults and 3 children aged 2, 3 and 6). Tables were not allowed to be put together outside. There was no justification for this. So we had to head indoors when the weather was nice. There were no drinks that were on the menu that were not unusual (e.g. non-alcoholic shandy). The glasses weren't really clean and instead of the ordered "Kinderpannekoken" that were offered and included on the menu, normal pancakes came. Since the children were hungry, we didn't let them go back. However, the children didn't manage to make the larger (and more expensive) pancakes.

At the entrance to the dunes is this nice pancake house. Unfortunately there is little parking space. For the children there is a small but nice play area with a sandpit and slide. The service staff are nice and the menu has a lot to choose from. However, I find the prices very high.

Good food, friendly staff. Nice terrace where you can sit. The only disadvantage is that the toilet seat was completely off, we were here with our grandmother, so she could not use the toilet safely. When reporting this, the staff indicated that this happened yesterday, while we read in the reviews that this has been going on for some time. This isn't possible! Certainly not with all the older guests you receive. New toilet seat costs 20 euros and 2 screws..

Nice, but quite pricey! €5 for a small bowl of fries... We had satay, schnitzel and a hamburger. It was fine. The ladies serving staff were friendly and polite.

It's a pity that maintenance there is somewhat overdue. Eaves broken, cobwebs everywhere, cushions on the terrace chairs broken, toilet seat broken.... and because of the latter even an accident that required an ambulance 😳 Hopefully that ended well... But the pancake was delicious!!

Wilden graag een flesje witte wijn. Alle wijnen op de kaart tot €32 niet voorradig. Wel een van €42 die de prijs niet waard is! Overigens kregen wij deze voor de prijs van een goedkopere maar dan nog. Karaf kraanwater kost €4,50! Hoe dan? Eten prima wel vreemd dat bij een stukje vlees niet standaard een frietje ofzo zit. Deze apart nog eens bijbestellen voor €5 personeel echt vriendelijk en hardwerkend!

Order tasty and served correctly. Quite a neat place, but the building needs urgent maintenance. Pieces of rotten wood from the roof/ fascia boards were on the table.

With the help of owners Onno and Joelle, we were able to celebrate an unforgettable wedding poffertjes party here! Our wishes were taken into account, communication was accessible and enthusiastic. Beautiful location, delicious snacks, friendly service, a great party for young and old. Our afternoon was exactly how we wanted it. Thanks!

Had tea and cake last week. The ginger tea was cut way too thick and was more orange than ginger. Both were old and I think had been used before. The cake was old and the cookie was soft. Not the first time that consumption has been disappointing. I still paid 4 euros for a little bland infusion called ginger. I'm sorry I didn't say something right away.

Always delicious pancakes, lots of choice

If you order pancakes, it goes pretty quickly. You should not order anything else, because then it will take a very long time. I don't think the cook fully understood it, the cook doesn't understand anything about logistics. We ordered prawns and a beef burger at 4:45 PM and it was only served at 7:00 PM. Too bad because it was otherwise quite good. I think it is prepared at another restaurant and then quickly brought to this restaurant and then served. As it is done in an episode of Fawlty Towers with Basil Fawlty (John Cleese). This was Saturday June 29, 2024.

On hour waiting to be served, after one hour 4 pannekoeken out for a group of 12 kids and 12 adults. They also serve first the adults, the hungry kids have to wait a bit longer than an hour. Pancakes are delicious.Very nice place, nice location, just dont go in a rush.

Not really a restaurant, everyones drinking its more like a bar. No foods that appeal to us.

A pancake house, delicious pancakes whether sweet or savory, there is something for every taste. Large pancakes with good toppings. Very nice staff. Gastronomy outside and inside with a small children's playground. We will be back.
