Delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and friendly service. Parking is a bit tricky, as there are only three parking spaces in front of the restaurant. You can park on the street, but only with a parking ticket. Unfortunately, we left a cap there. Despite following up by email, no one has responded yet. What a shame!

Came here after walking the green route at the Amsterdamse waterleidingsduinen. Pros: Great location (next to the bus stop), massive and varied menu (everything sounded fantastic), friendly staff, delicious food, fast service Cons: Only 1 toilet so there was a wait. Looks like it will be refurbished soon so hopefully that includes extra toilets anyway. Definitely recommend!

The place is an oasis filled with feel-good accessories and radiates a wonderful energy, accompanied by chill beats. ❤️ Unfortunately, we only had beer and cocktails and regret not having eaten, so we absolutely have to come back! ❤️

The fish & chips and the chicken thigh satay were to my liking. The Greek Pancake did not appeal to me; I suspect that chicken thigh was also used for the Gyros, although I did not see that on the menu. I would expect bean sprouts more in an Asian dish.

The staff are too busy texting on their phones… The food is a disaster… if you want diarrhea, go there… All the tables and benches are shabby.

After an excursion, we stumbled upon Dune and wanted pancakes. It was very empty, but it took a very long time before we could order. It might have been a team meeting, I don't know. I was very pleased to see that lactose-free options were available for an extra charge. When I ordered, they told me it wasn't guaranteed and asked if cheese was okay. Of course, not everyone can tolerate it. I just nodded along and luckily had no problems. But charging extra for that is ridiculous, hence the one-star deduction. Otherwise, the pancakes were very tasty.

What a nasty place! After I had several hot drinks here and rented a power bank, the owner yelled at me at the top of his lungs across a crowded terrace asking if I had paid a euro to use the toilet... get a grip!

I can't comment on the food and drinks. We waited 15 minutes and weren't served. Three waiters walked past and around, and we weren't even looked at, even though we clearly made our presence known. Not even a greeting or anything. We've never experienced such poor service.

Friendly staff but not really good at their job. It went well at first (we were a group of 10), it did take a while before we could have our order taken, but once our order was finally ready, we all enjoyed our meal. Until it was time to order dessert; at first, it took a very long time before we could order (it wasn't busy), and when we were finally able to order, the food was still lying on the tables. I had specifically asked for a lactose-free dessert; initially there was nothing, but then it turned out that 2 flavors of the ice cream were lactose-free after all. When the ice cream was brought over, there was a huge amount of whipped cream next to it. Fortunately, this was corrected fairly quickly. Finally, we saw a mouse running through the restaurant (the doors were open, so it is quite possible that it came from outside).

Had to wait a long time before someone came to take the order. What was ordered was incorrect at the first place, and at the other, the meat was partially burnt and very dry (schnitzel).

It was nice... Met lovely people and Tristan, my eldest, unexpectedly managed to inspire people with his "the little stone" project :) I ate a huge hamburger which was quite pricey. The children's pancakes were also tasty but pricey. We were easily able to take the leftovers home. What I found a pity is that a lot was written down as organic and ecologically responsible, but there wasn't actually much organic. Not even the syrup (standard sugar), etc. We had a nice meal and the children were occupied. The playground needs some repairs.

We went there for dinner last night. I was really looking forward to a pancake. Mine arrived with completely burnt topping (bacon), and no one offered us any more drinks. A rat was wandering around during the meal. We told the waitress, but nothing much happened. We left pretty quickly. The outdoor area with the tables and chairs was quite dirty and run-down. I wouldn't recommend this place. I paid the price last night. I have severe stomach problems.

The food was fine, but the service was disappointing. I just came here for a quick bite, but had to wait over 50 minutes for my steak. I had also ordered bread as a starter, but I never received it. I had to keep asking for the two drinks I had during the meal myself, instead of being asked if I wanted another drink. When paying, it turned out the bread was on the bill after all, even though I had never received it. That was refunded properly after I reported it. The steak itself was fine, but for about €30 I only got a steak with some fried broccoli on the side. All in all, the food was okay, but due to the long wait, mediocre service, and the price-quality ratio, I am giving it 2 stars.

We come here often for a drink after a walk in the beautiful dune area. But it is always a bit grubby and the wait staff isn't very enthusiastic—moderately friendly, let's say. And that is a shame, because it is a unique location. Keep it a bit cleaner and ensure you have enthusiastic staff.

Food is between okay and good; service ppl seem to be not interested at all in making a good service; was more a self-service feeling; some years ago this place must have been nice - now it is a little bit outmoded; to this regard prices are also too high compared to other places in town

Please start investing in capable and good staff again; this is truly shameful. We had to get our own menus, and the old glasses and plates from the meal sat on the table for so long that it looked like the crockery section of a thrift store. Drinks were ordered, but the waitress walked away after taking one drink order, leaving the rest with empty glasses to wait again. Then that one drink was passed on incorrectly, so that one had to go back to the kitchen as well. The staff were just chilling inside the kitchen; jokes were even being made about how busy the terrace was, followed by an "oh oops" when they noticed that we were standing there and not this lady's colleagues. The person who brought our group here has been coming here for years and was so in love with this place, but today she got a hair in her food and a rock-hard bread roll with the herb butter, even though someone else at the table had ordered the same thing and there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. And when we pointed this out, there wasn't even a decent apology or acknowledgment that this is simply disgusting, but just an “oh, I’ll pass it on to the kitchen.” They gave us the wrong bill, which was simply €35 cheaper than our actual bill, and we already regret being so honest. The only thing we would come back for is the herb butter.

Wait a long time due to understaffing

The stars are mainly for that location because it was perfect! You can walk straight into (or out of) the dunes. And there is plenty of parking right next to it. Service was okay, though I did have to wait and walk inside to be served. They were friendly, though. The food was very disappointing. The pancake was still raw inside; I did get a new one and it was better, but I have definitely eaten better pancakes. We had chicken fingers with it, but that was really just a piece of breaded, dry chicken that had been fried for too long... and expensive! The fries weren't anything special either. There was only one toilet available, which unfortunately wasn't neat or clean. There was a nice little playground for the little ones, though. So, regarding the price (high) and quality ratio for dinner, meh... For a cup of coffee after a walk? Great.

Amazing food, especially the farmer’s pancake!!

The service is friendly and cheerful, but that is about the best thing about this restaurant. I had a pork knuckle with pasta. The meat fell off the bone, which was fine. However, the pasta was not tagliatelle (I asked the waiter) and the smoked paprika sauce was watery and basically tasted like nothing. Because of this, the meat didn't taste as good either. For a price of 25 euros, I expect more. My girlfriend's burger was okay. The dessert was also disappointing because the éclair wasn't very tasty. The choux pastry was dry and the topping tasted strange. A shame, because I love lemon desserts. By the way, a carafe of water costs 6 euros here. I asked if I could have tap water, but water is only available for a fee. This was explained kindly, so fortunately it wasn't charged afterwards. In short, the service is top-notch, but the rest isn't. A pity, because the restaurant has a nice location.

The food was delicious, the location was pleasant, and the surroundings were beautiful. Parking was even free when we were there. We were a group of nine, including five children. We called and there was still room. The kids were hungry and needed to go to bed early. Unfortunately, it took a very long time (over an hour) for the food to be ready. Questions about it were poorly answered, the cutlery arrived in pieces (which isn't a bad thing at all). But the most annoying thing was that the first course was cold (very frustrating if you've waited so long and it apparently had been sitting there for a while). When an order was incorrect, they kept insisting they'd gotten it right. Luckily, I don't have a cheese allergy, otherwise it would definitely have gone wrong. Because of that, I won't be going back. If you're not in a hurry and don't want anything fancy, it's a nice place!

I've eaten here often and never really had any problems until I went to pay today. Today I ordered ginger tea with cinnamon, orange, and rosemary and asked if we could get a refill of hot water. The bill showed four ginger teas at €4.50 each. €9 for hot water? I pointed it out to the waitress, and she took the €9 off the bill. I thanked her and gave her a €5 tip. Then her colleague said, "Just charge me for two regular teas." I had to pay an extra €6.40! This was really awful...

We had a baby shower at the Dune. The decorations were beautiful, the service was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. All in all, it was a great success, and I would definitely recommend it.

I popped in for a cappuccino after my Sunday afternoon walk in the AWD. The friendly staff took my order and brought it to me. The cappuccino comes from a real espresso machine with fresh steamed milk. It was delicious.

Very few healthy vegetarian options. Few vegetables. Not very tasty! Expensive! But nice place and friendly service.

What a disappointment. The bacon and cheese pancake. The cheese was hard and salty. I'd recommend not using grated cheese. Just add a few slices of real cheese and let it melt slowly. And make pancakes on the stovetop, not in a carousel. !! It's also a shame there's no syrup on the table. You get a pre-measured bag of syrup. Very "cheap."

We had dinner on Tuesday evening through Social Deal. The food was good, the service was excellent, and they were mindful of the time between courses so we could bottle-feed our baby.

Delicious pancakes! But they overcharged me when I asked for a glass of tap water and a latte (which meant I had to pay for an extra shot of coffee, even though it supposedly wasn't included in the drink).

The food was surprisingly delicious. Besides meat dishes, the menu naturally also included various fish and seafood dishes. I had a beautiful cod fillet, super fresh and delicious. My wife had a plaice, which she also enjoyed very much. I don't usually mention wine in reviews, but the Tempranillo I had (red wine with fish? Yes, I like it!) was remarkably good and tasty. The service was excellent and very attentive. In short, a truly wonderful experience.

A great place to relax after a walk in the dunes. Beautiful location and friendly staff. However I wasn’t impressed by the food. Ordered a cheese and mushroom pancake that had no flavour except for a greasy burned aftertaste. Drink was somewhat overpriced.

Nice place, friendly service, but we had to wait a long time for our nachos. They were soggy from the moment they arrived, and they weren't tasty either. We think this was partly due to the cheddar "cheese," which seemed to come from a bottle or tube. Crème fraiche and guacamole weren't included, which we felt was a real shame. The ground meat that was on them was tasty, though. But we won't be ordering this dish again in its current form.

The place looks nice from a distance. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice dirty tables and the friendly service. Unfortunately, the pancakes are very greasy—you can get much better ones elsewhere!

If my partner and I each order a drink and fries, why are we required to order something extra? Be clear about that in your menu description. There's no mention of a minimum serving size. Especially considering the goal of combating food waste, that seems like a strange rule. Perhaps increase the price of the fries, but be transparent and update both the website and the menu. Currently, the selection there also differs from what's on the menu. Such a shame.

Compared to Duinrand, roughly 25 years ago, much has changed. It's cluttered, less atmosphere, and the pancakes aren't quite as thoroughly cooked. But it's still a beautiful location.

Our experience is very bad, pancake with bacon where the bacon was inedible, salty and burnt Pancake bacon onion, there was no onion on it (paid for) and also inedible so salty and burnt In addition, bags of syrup that you can't open without using your teeth A bottle of Heineken with a warm beer glass! In short, very bad, last time there!

I would do something about tidying up, cleaning and replacing the pillows and menus. Then maybe these prices are justified. Nice place but completely run down.

Great food, really great pancakes after a walk. Service is young and inexperienced. Serving a tray above a baby's head is really a no go as far as I'm concerned. Outside you can sit fine, but a little above us there was a smelly leak of water so we were moved.

Disgusting! Rats are running around between the tables on the terrace, and mice are sitting on the tables in the restaurant and wandering unmolested through the dining room. Apparently, the staff can't do anything about it because of the adjacent nature reserve. Never again!!

Cool location, OK food, friendly service – but they could take a broom and clean up the guest area a bit, wipe down the tables so you don't accidentally take the table with you when you get up, and maybe wipe down the chairs to stop the bird droppings from drying out completely. It's really cool if you get cutlery with your meal and don't have to organize it yourself. Otherwise, nice people and a cool location – it has real potential; with little effort, you could give it 5 stars. Actually, 3 stars would have been fair, but it ended up being 4 because of the friendliness...

We wanted to come here for an early lunch with our child. Unfortunately, the kitchen doesn't open until 11:30 a.m. There was no mention of this online, and we weren't told until after we ordered drinks. But cake was already available and delicious. It's a shame, we would have liked to have pancakes.

The best place for a nice walk in Waterleiding and afterwards a meal here. They got great starters, burgers and amazing choice of tasty pancakes. Good service, food comes quick and atmosphere is very cozy with the lights above you when you’re inside. We come here often :)

Shocking place! There were mice running around on the floor AND ON THE TABLES! Reported to the staff but they said it was normal! They were so close to the forest. This restaurant should be closed, if there is any food inspection in the Netherlands?

Very bad and expensive! Been coming here for a long time, but the last experience was downright awful. We had to wait 25 minutes before we could order something. To think that after 15 minutes I went to the toilet and the employee asked me if I wanted to pay for the toilet. To which I replied, I am sitting on the terrace, which was good. We ended up having to wait another 10 minutes for our order time. Occupancy was 50%. Unfortunately, the friendliness did not shine through when the waitress came to take our order. Ultimately ordered 2 cappuccinos, 1 coke, 1 ice cream and 2 apple pies (frozen and tasteless). All this for a cheap 26 euros. In short, expensive, dirty and bad service! Never never again.

I wanted to have something to eat and drink with two children, it was very quiet at the restaurant. First we had something to drink. The glass of hot chocolate with whipped cream was only half full and with cheap spray can whipped cream. Afterwards the children wanted something to eat. The menu includes fries with mayonnaise (€5), which is what the children wanted. We were told that you cannot order this separately without a dish, no exception. Last time the service was not great and there were mice everywhere (especially in the ceiling above the tables). I used to come here regularly, but I won't be going here anytime soon. How this place has deteriorated.

Everything is tip top! Anyone who likes it difficult will get their money's worth here. Every palate will be satisfied.

The paper menu (A4) was dirty and with grease stains. The bacon pancake was mostly covered in black burnt bacon. Moreover, it was a mealy pancake. The rosé was sparkling but had a sherry-like taste. This happens when the cork sucks air. Moreover, the interior could use a freshening up!

I just had dinner here with friends of mine…yuck! 3 times yuck!!! Ordered eggs benedict with salmon. Those eggs were hard boiled and not fresh, and salmon was not fresh at all either. So no lunch and an “oh, too bad” from the grumpy waitress topped it off. If you want stomach pain and bad food, this is the place to be.

The food was very nice (pancake), but the dough in the middle was not fully cooked. The atmosphere was pleasant, but we were cold and it remained cold. We found it hilarious that the mice were apparently not scared enough to look for food while we were eating. We had mentioned this, the waitress indicated that this was because we were sitting at the edge of the dunes. But in the course of 20 years of occasionally having a bite to eat there, I have never seen mice walking around.

Don't take Club Dune. You expect a club sandwich and get a substandard baguette that has nothing to do with a club sandwich. This product should not cost 13 euros. Half of this would have been too much.

The service was not up to par. After more than 30 minutes we had to go inside to order, even though they promised that they would come to us. The drinks came quickly, but the snacks took a long time. They were tasty, but after a long time we had to ask for the bill ourselves. The tables around us were dirty and uncluttered during our entire visit.

Called today to make a reservation for lunch with family with someone in a wheelchair. It was said there was only room for 2 wheelchairs but they would look. Then she said that they only accept 1 wheelchair.....accept what kind of comment is that? Really scandalous
