A really great café with delicious food. Friendly staff and fast service.

It looked cozy when we arrived, but the cups and glasses were very old-fashioned. We ordered nachos; there was barely anything in the dish and you had to look for the cheese with a magnifying glass. It was very basic: just a small bag of nachos unfolded in a small dish, and 2 small pots of sauce. We did get cutlery with it though 🤣

Unfriendly staff. We had to wait a long time before we could order. The waitress acted as if she didn't see us sitting there. Eventually, we asked another waitress for a hot apple pie but couldn't get one because it was apparently too busy. Meanwhile, the owner was cheerfully smoking a cigarette. So, to be avoided if you are looking for a cozy terrace with friendly service.

The food was good and arrived quickly. Recommended for lunch. The interior isn't very nice, so you should definitely sit outside.

We ate there with our extended family. The food was tasty and the portions were a good size. The service was attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The server even noticed that the kids each wanted a straw – excellent! The atmosphere under the large parasols right on the pedestrian zone was pleasant and interesting. Perhaps the tables could be a bit cleaner. I think it would be appropriate to wipe the table surface with a clean, slightly damp cloth after clearing the tables – it wouldn't be a luxury! Overall, though, I would recommend it.

Great food, had a club sandwich with fries that was served quite quickly. The sandwich was tasty, but the fries were mostly a lot of small, hard pieces.

I had a hot chocolate yesterday. It was served without any prior warning. I took a sip and it was so hot that I still have small burns on my tongue and palate. When I mentioned this to the staff, I was told that the machine was broken and that they didn't know how long to heat the hot chocolate. No apology or anything. It was the least they could have done.

The cake was tasty. Had I seen the interior and the view into the kitchen at the beginning, I probably wouldn't have eaten there. The leftovers from the previous customers hadn't been cleared away!

Terrace nicely heated during rain showers. Service very attentive, fast, and friendly. The salmon and chicken wraps were fine.

There are about 10 beers from the rap on the menu, but in reality, they had 3.

A total of €33.80 for "special" fries, chicken nuggets, pea soup, and two coffees. "Special" in this case meant a tiny dab of ketchup, a tiny dab of mayo, and three pieces of onion. The fries were crispy, though. It was overpriced. The pea soup was bland, and the paper-thin slices of sausage tasted tasteless. A small cappuccino (about 150ml) cost over €4. The chicken nuggets were crispy on the outside but soggy and bland on the inside. The location in no way justifies the price. We won't be eating here again.

After a brisk walk with the winter sun shining brightly, we stopped here for a quick lunch. A lovely setting and friendly, quick service. It was delicious.

On February 11, 2026, I had a 12-hour meat/fish dinner with my mother. It was delicious! The service was very quick and super friendly! I definitely recommend this place.

We discovered this café by chance. It was full, but we still managed to get a table. The service was quick, and the cake was delicious. We'll gladly come back.

We had lunch on New Year's Eve on their beautiful covered patio. It turned out our food order hadn't been placed correctly in the kitchen, so we only received half of it. Eventually, the owner himself apologized and insisted we get our entire order on the house. In the end, we still had a delicious meal and left a generous tip. What fantastic service!

This was honestly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The restrooms and the interior were incredibly dirty. It felt like they never cleaned. And as if that wasn't enough, the owner was practically smoking inside. How ridiculous can you be?! It's not only inappropriate, but also illegal! The prices are outrageously high for the terrible food and terrible service you receive. This is truly abysmal, and I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. We'll never be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

A cozy atmosphere is paramount. Just a cozy cafe atmosphere is great and welcoming. We went for dinner and unexpectedly ended up staying because it was so pleasant. So I definitely say, definitely worth repeating.

Delicious cake. Fast service. It's a bit chilly on the outdoor patio in this chilly autumn weather, but nice and dry, and the fire pits create a cozy atmosphere.

A very nice and cozy restaurant. They even offer a German menu. Five of us ate there. The meals were generous and delicious. If you're in Middelburg and want to go out for dinner, I highly recommend it. 5 stars

Das Essen, ein Burger und Muscheln, war nicht wirklich gut. Der Burger war ein vorgefertigter Tiefkühlburger mit einem matschigen, durchweichten Brötchen. Die Muscheln waren zur Hälfte geschlossen, also nicht essbar. Der Sud war völlig geschmacklos und mit Abstand der schlechteste, den wir je gegessen haben.

Nice terrace located in the center of Middelburg. The food is really poor value for money (not recommended). The chicken satay sandwich was too plain; it was more like chicken on a bun with a small container of satay that wasn't very seasoned. The Kibbeling menu with fries was too dry and overcooked. For such a fantastic place, you expect better quality and value for your money.

The food was really good and it only took a few minutes till it arrived.

The 12 hour is a real recommendation. Was really tasty! My daughter ate it for the 1st time and loved it.

We had a wonderful time on the beautifully maintained, sunny terrace. A great offer: coffee and apple pie. A wide selection for lunch. We had a delicious meal here, and the service was very friendly. We chose a hamburger menu and a club sandwich for our lunch. We enjoyed it very much. We will definitely be back.

Let's have lunch. These days, a family of four spends a serious amount of money. Not a bad thing at all, of course. It's a shame, though, that you're served by someone who apparently doesn't enjoy her job. It took quite a while for our first drink to be taken. An added bonus was that we immediately knew what we wanted to eat. I wanted to dismiss it as busyness. She was also the only server I saw. But I also got the impression she wasn't going to be happy about it. The food wasn't anything special for what they were charging. I'd rather someone else handle the business next time. I don't need to be treated like royalty, but a little enthusiasm would suit the server. Then I'd be less bothered by the price-quality ratio.

Damn, what a dirty tent this is!!! Sat here on the terrace this morning. As soon as we placed the order we actually regretted it... at first glance it seemed like a great terrace. But when we sat and looked closely we thought, oops! Anyway, a latte macchiato, coffee and an apple pie to share is not a world order. The latte is relatively expensive. 5.50 for a simple latte (not barista quality) with a cowardly cookie in foil. I asked for a sweet, but it wasn't included and I had to personally exchange it because the waiter forgot to do it. Didn't receive a separate bag but a can of sweets. Personally, I always find it a bit of a shame. We had apple pie to share (which was indicated when ordering) which came with 1 fork. The whipped cream next to it had become a puddle on the bowl within a few minutes. The service is disinterested. We saw our order arrive on a tray. But the girl first brought 2 cold juices to the other side of the terrace and cleared the glasses from that table before she came to serve the hot drinks. When I went inside to go to the toilet I was very shocked! What a dirty tent!! The toilet was full of poop marks, dirty and had not been cleaned for a while. There is 1 toilet for the ladies, so checking it a few times during the day should be no problem. Furthermore, there were huge piles of dust on the doormat next to the coffee corner. There they will make your "delicious" coffee. No, this tent can still learn a lot about service and especially about hygiene!!!! Because I don't think they know that!

Slow service, expect that you will have to wait about 30 minutes for your 12 o'clock meal, so they should call it half past twelve. The service seemed unmotivated, probably due to a minimum hourly wage. The food was fine, nothing to complain about for the price, but don't expect miracles.

Deze plek is super om te eten. Leuke personeel en lekkere gerechten. Ik adviseer om hier te eten. Vooral de clubsandwich was heerlijk.

Lekkere ijscoupe, met ambachtelijk gemaakt roomijs om je vingers bij af te likken, dat maar niet gedaan op het terras! Terras gezellig ingericht met aardige bediening! Zegt het voort!

Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Very negatively surprised by the food, some of it just seems carelessly prepared. If you order fries with cheese, you get hard fries with 4 slices of processed cheese on top.

This review is from January 20, 2024 (forgot to write it). The 12 hours were wonderful. The soup was tasty as well as the croquette on bread, fried egg on bread with ham & cheese and salad. It was also served nicely. The atmosphere was also nice, especially with the fire in the middle of the table. This gave sitting outside a pleasant feeling due to the temperature given off by the fire. I can't say much more about the service because I can't remember it (well). However, if something was wrong, I would have remembered it. All in all a good experience, so for us it is definitely worth coming back again.

Low standards, high prices. The Burger-patty was frozen and bland. Cheese was cheapest industrial stuff, not even melted on the patty. Burger-sauce tasted like regular ketchup. Way too much vinegar in the salad. The fries were soggy and barely salted. The bottled beer was a small one, which was not clear due to the card. The price made it more seems like a big one…

We had dinner with 9 people at Café Die Lange in Middelburg. Basically a nicely decorated affair. Food is fine and enjoyable, but the price-quality is a bit confusing. In terms of staff, there could be a big step up, unfortunately the enthusiasm was not evident, but we will assume that it was due to the bad weather.

Gross scammer THAT LANGE!!, paid €9.70 for three drops of wine. This was for 2 glasses, so €4.85 per glass, but still very poor!! When asked, it was just the normal portion. The employee was very friendly and was also ashamed of this! I know that the graveyard sometimes only pours 100 ml of wine, but that didn't even make it. Moreover, I think that at these ridiculous prices this should be 150 ml as standard and if it is less, this should be mentioned on the menu, then I can go somewhere else. The catering industry is destroying itself. I am done!!

What a nice place! Yesterday I accidentally landed on this nice terrace. The food was great and the service was friendly and very quick. Finished off after lunch with their new artisanal homemade ice cream, what a taste experience 😍

Staff very friendly. Restaurant is very popular as it is difficult to find a seat when the weather is nice. The club sandwich tastes very tasty. (see pictures)

Very disappointing experience. The waitress dropped 2 glasses of beer on my husband which can happen and we were not too upset about but after she gave us a towel she never came back to our table so we couldn't order our meal. After 30 min we decided to find a waitress and pay. I would have expected that he gets his drink for free after all we had to get new pants and a jacket since he was so soaked in beer but that wasn't the case..
