If you're allergic to gluten, look no further. The wait staff are very attentive to allergies. And the food is excellent too.

The homemade pork schnitzel looked and tasted like a machine-made one. It could be done much better. Unfortunately, everyone else was also dissatisfied: pasta, fish, and burgers.

Relaxed spot for a bite to eat, right behind the dunes. The Pokebowl was decent; in my opinion, not all the ingredients were truly fresh, and especially with a pokebowl, that is expected. The service was perfect! We were able to order lunch dishes for dinner. Great!

This is a fine place for lunch. The dishes are well made and taste good. They aren't culinary masterpieces, but certainly decent. The staff could use some experience, but they are doing reasonably well despite the crowds. At least they walk faster than the average staff we encountered.

We were in the mood for coffee and cake. Then you have come to the right place at De Babbel. Delicious coffee with grandpa’s apple pie or cheesecake. In one word: perfect! A small downside: the service could be a bit friendlier.

We had cheeseburgers and fries here. The burgers were delicious and the fries were very crispy. The service was very friendly and patient. The outdoor seating area is nice and shady.

Excellent menu, delicious food. Located on the Zoutelande boulevard. The terrace is heated and covered in case of rain. Even though it can get very crowded, it's very cozy. The terrace is even cooled when it gets too hot.

We made a reservation, but when we arrived, they said there was no table outside for us. Eventually, we were able to move to a table in the shade, which we had also requested. And there, there actually was a sign saying 'reserved'???

Nice place with a beautiful terrace. Very friendly staff and the value for money is good. We sat there several times during our stay because our 7-year-old son was a huge fan.

If you ask for a glass of tap water as an extra with your purchase, it is refused and you are only allowed to have SPA (at a cost of > €3). That is really a "bit of a shame," to put it mildly. WELCOME??? It doesn't feel like it. And the response speaks volumes ..... making money, no service.

The evening menu is limited, but the food we ordered was delicious. The service was super friendly and efficient. The tables are very close together, so we (two people) booked a table for four. The outdoor seating area is covered and sheltered from the wind. The women's restroom is very small; if you're not very mobile, it will be difficult to manage in such a small space.

The fries are very disappointing, they are much too cracked, the quality is not good.

On Saturday, we had a slice of apple tart with crumbled apple and cream – delicious. And on Sunday, we had the fish salad, a variety of greens, along with salmon, trout, halibut, shrimp, and tuna, served with two kinds of warm bread. The excellent food was complemented by very good service. My somewhat halting attempts at Dutch were met with a friendly response. We will gladly return.

Got told off when paying the bill by the waitress because one of us (out of 4) didn’t order a drink because that is expected apparently when sitting on this terrace. Service is obviously not a strong point here. Shame

The service was very friendly, but the rib-eye steak was the worst I've ever been served. It was riddled with sinew and poorly prepared. A real shame for such a lovely restaurant.

We sat outside in glorious weather. Friendly service. The apple pie with cream and the cappuccino were delicious.

Visiting with a dog was no problem at all. The spare ribs were incredibly tender and seasoned perfectly (sweet version). The Diamanthaas (pork shoulder) was equally tender, slightly pink, and really juicy (ordered "medium rare"). The service was quick and prompt without being intrusive; they even continued to serve us in a friendly and attentive manner after closing time (we had the closing time wrong). The atmosphere was very pleasant.

We sat outside in the sun and watched the activity on the street. The service was consistently attentive, so we were well looked after. The food and drinks arrived relatively quickly. However, the price-performance ratio was somewhat unbalanced for some dishes.

Excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. The food didn't quite win us over. The tagliatelle vega was of good, fresh quality, but somewhat bland/boring in taste. The schnitzel was okay. It's hard to say whether it was truly homemade. The Pinot Grigio, however, was excellent. The churros for dessert were good.

We had been there before, but this year we went daily during our annual holiday in Zoutelande. It's a lovely spot and the atmosphere is more relaxed than at the places further down the road where everything is crammed together. Great for a nice drink with coffee or a bite to eat. Friendly service. We will definitely be back here again next year.

Went out for dinner on Friday evening. They did everything they could to ensure we could still get something to eat without a reservation. All our dishes were delicious. Maybe a tip: serve the sea bass with a warm sauce instead of cold tomato salsa. Friendly staff, nice decor.

We had a wonderful visit to this restaurant as a group of four adults with a two-year-old child. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and great with children, which made our meal with a toddler very pleasant. The completely gluten-free options are a particular highlight: all meat dishes have a gluten-free version, including gluten-free bread. We had spare ribs, fish and chips, and a steak sandwich, all of which were delicious and freshly prepared. The selection is truly exemplary for people with gluten intolerance and makes dining together in mixed groups much easier. The restaurant is very family-friendly overall, so you feel welcome with a child and can enjoy your meal in peace. We found the prices to be rather high, but this is in keeping with the touristy area and therefore still reasonable. Overall, we would recommend the restaurant because of the friendly service, the child-friendliness, and the excellent gluten-free selection, even though you shouldn't expect any bargains.

During our breaks in Zoutelande, we frequently dined at Eetcafé De Babbel for both breakfast and dinner. It was almost always easy to get a table for two or four people – although it's advisable to reserve in advance during peak season. The staff is always friendly and quick to serve drinks and food. The taste and quality are, as always, good, and the prices are typical for the area. A pleasant restaurant that we will gladly return to.

Well, what more can you say about a 5-star experience? Everything was great, the food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was very tasteful. The location is right on the dike. There's a paid parking lot 100m away (€2.95 per hour; unfortunately, there's no free parking in town from March to the end of October).

We're on a short break in Zouteland and stopped here for lunch today – with our dog. Very friendly, attentive, and quick service. Great atmosphere both inside and out. Good value for money for both drinks and food. We had a very tasty fish soup. We'll definitely come back for dinner. Update: We were here for dinner today: steak and cod – absolutely delicious – we didn't expect that at such moderate prices. We went home happily full. I'd like to emphasize the excellent service again.

We had a delicious lunch. We had a salmon sandwich and the fish and chips, both of which were delicious. The service was also very friendly.

It was, as always, very enjoyable. Unfortunately, there were a few favorites of the year, but there are always other things to come back for. The music could be a bit louder when it's quiet, and the "new" men's restroom—I think it was installed by a big-time plumber because it's mounted really high up. See you next time.

It's very cozy here too. The service was nice and friendly. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Everything was great. We had an omelet and a Strammer Max (open-faced sandwich with ham and egg). Both were excellent. Still open in December.
