A top-notch location with excellent food in a charming setting. It's always packed, and for good reason.

We had a fantastic meal at Eetcafé de Notaris. We had the choice of sitting in the bar area of ​​the restaurant or (lower) at regular tables. Both areas of the restaurant are beautifully decorated and have a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was super friendly and came by regularly, and the service itself was also fast. The sandwich was delicious, the appetizer was beautifully presented (stylishly presented), and the main course was also delicious. For dessert, we were asked if we could move to the bar area because there was a couple with a stroller. We didn't mind (we were also seated at a table for four). The dessert was excellent (including fireworks because of a birthday). After returning home, we discovered that the coffee/tea we received at the end had been given as a gift (probably for moving). If we had known this, we would have left an extra tip, because we had a wonderful evening. Thank you!

The two of us had lunch here. We had a spicy chicken sandwich (the focaccia was on the bottom, which my husband hadn't expected) and I had a truffle omelet with two slices of bread and a small salad on the side. Quite filling for both of us. I did find it a shame that the bread was unspread under the omelet. The bread is too dry for me then, but luckily it was perfectly fine with salad. It was all very delicious, definitely worth repeating!

So disappointing... I ordered a poke bowl, and the rice was just hard, and the portion was truly pitiful. I brought it inside myself and said I'd rather order something else, but no one came to take my order. My husband had finished his meal, and so had I. We used to come here regularly, but this time we were served with a bowl of rice "as it should be" and the entire bill. It would have been nice to at least offer a drink. I tried to explain that this wasn't normal practice, but the person serving us thought anyone could make a mistake and that I was allowed to think so, "we live in a free country." How awful and disrespectful... and it's true, we're definitely going to get the gift certificate somewhere else now; what a missed opportunity. Tip: teach staff to consult with their superiors about how to handle a chef's "mistake."

We participated in the "bite en trappen" (food and pedaling) but due to a fall from my wife's bike, we arrived late at the restaurant. The food was absolutely not inferior, but it was simply fantastic.

Extensive lunch menu with reasonable prices. Friendly staff, you'll feel welcome. Plenty of seating, both inside and outside. Some of the outdoor cushions were a bit damp. The food was delicious, and they were happy to make changes to the dish. Portion sizes are excellent! We'll definitely be back to try the drinks menu.

Nice terrace; we had a drink there at the end of our bike ride that day. I noticed that the chairs at the high table were very comfortable. We also had a delicious non-alcoholic beer.

Nice restaurant, the food was good. Reservations don't seem necessary. It's a shame they don't have some drinks cold, but they do offer them to guests. They don't have a separate smoking area, so we could enjoy watching people smoking non-stop while we ate. Not very appetizing.

We had a wonderful meal at De Notaris in Schaijk! I had the Iberico rib fingers with some delicious craft beers—super tender and full of flavor. My wife chose the lamb chops with a matching wine suggestion, and the pairing was perfect. This lovely restaurant is housed in a characterful building, beautifully renovated while retaining its authentic charm. It's lovely to relax both inside and outside on the heated terrace. Friendly service, definitely recommended!

Good to upscale cuisine. We had a platter with a bit of everything. Unfortunately the portions were a bit small, but okay for a small appetite.

After a walk a cappuccino with a piece of apple pie. Very tasty and nicely served on a small tray. With it was a small glass with a little amaretto at the bottom and whipped cream on top. With the coffee was a piece of nougat. Staff is very friendly. Great break after the walk.

Had a high tea last Saturday. Started with a delicious asparagus soup, then savory sandwiches, wrap and sweet potato fries. Then came the sweet also very tasty. Staff was very friendly.

Went for drinks with 5 people on Sunday afternoon. Quality is not special Ordered coffee and cake to finish. Coffee is served lukewarm. The pastry came 10 minutes later when we made a comment about it we receive as a fraction it comes from the kitchen where it still had to be made. Strange when the menu states that the pastries from a patteserie come from Vught. Customer friendliness still needs to be learned from the pastor.

Geweldig leuke ervaring om een lopend diner bij de Notaris te ervaren. In een ongedwongen sfeer met ca 35 personen in een aparte kamer. Bediening was attent en vlot. De gerechtjes die gebracht werden waren fantastisch lekker. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Achter het pand is een ruime en deels overdekte parkeergelegenheid.

1 word: great! We came with 3 people on a busy Saturday evening. We had no reservation. Upon arrival, time was taken for us to see if there was a spot. An extra seat for us created a fantastic spot at the bar. The staff showed that they enjoyed their work. Excellent service and excellent atmosphere. The staff can give good advice regarding the choice of food and drinks. Most important is the quality of the food. We had 3 courses. And 3 different main courses and all 3 were enjoyable (especially the sparerib). In short, we will definitely come back here. Thank you and enjoy life :)

Coincidentally, we went here, we were on our way home (province of Zeeland) and wanted something to eat. Coincidentally, the tenth anniversary of the Notary was celebrated, very nice!!! If we are in the area we would love to come back again!!

Picked up the Treaty of Versailles from the kitchen table to have it signed by the Notary. Turned out it was a restaurant. Anyway, we managed to get a table for eight boys from surrounding village centers. The appearance is homely. However, there are mysterious creatures hanging on the wall, suggesting that a local tribe from Myanmar was allowed to decorate the wall. It is beautiful. The rustic garden shed (in the garden) completes this homely atmosphere. The food is great. The window in the kitchen also gives the impression that fresh ingredients are being cooked. Rob Geus would put at least two stickers on the door here. The burger was juicy, the meat tender, the fries crispy and the sauce delicious. The only negative, on behalf of a companion, was the Peppa Pig puzzle on the carpaccio. The structure of the bacon did not go well with the tender and soft notes of the carpaccio itself. As you read, this is a pleasant sensation for every passer-by. And affordable! You wouldn't have had to mine sixteen bitcoins in 2014 to enjoy a delicious two- or three-course meal here. A nice glass of Sjardonnie for €5.5 feels like stealing sixteen sweets from Kruidvat before paying for a 100g bag. A win-win situation for the stomach and liver! All in all, come eat here, come be here. Live in the moment, because the plates are definitely not small here! From meat to fish, from chicks to guinea fowl, they even have a nice piece of greenery for that one vegan friend.
