Super delicious food! Beautiful location! Very friendly and attentive staff!

We would like to thank Nieuw Schaijk for the perfect care of our 50th wedding anniversary. The food was well-prepared and delicious. The staff were very friendly, and the room had a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you again so much for the beautiful day you gave us.

We celebrated an end-of-year gathering with our volunteers at Nieuw Schaijk. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. The conversations beforehand were also smooth and enjoyable. Everything was perfect, from the friendly service to the atmosphere. The Nieuw Schaijk team was very well organized.

We all enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner. Compliments also for the extensive dessert buffet!

I can't say much else about it. Nice decor, great service, and the food was delicious. Just a tasty steak, schnitzel, or satay. "Simple" food that tasted great. Ample parking behind the building, and smokers can find a corner sheltered from the wind without disturbing the non-smoking guests. This has certainly been well thought out.

The food is delicious. Service: we had to call a few times to ask if we'd like to order something else.

Well-cared for and hassle-free. My 85th-birthday mother's party was held here. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. Our guests were spoiled for choice when it came to drinks and delicious food. Nieuw Schaijk feels familiar. Like celebrating at home.

A very nicely decorated restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff, but that's about it. The food was terrible. It was beautifully presented on the plate, though. However, my daughter with the children's menu had more fries than the three adults combined. It's just a shame that no vegetables were served with the children's menu! Some children do enjoy vegetables! The side dishes were served before the three main courses; we thought it was one portion per plate, which wasn't much. It turned out it was meant for three people. About 20 fries, a pitiful salad that you could eat in one bite, four heads of broccoli swimming in the water, a small pot of fried, limp potatoes swimming in oil... and all this for three adults... The schnitzel was very small, the senior menu was just enough to fill a hollow tooth, and the chicken satay was still raw inside, and the sauce tasted burnt and had a nasty aftertaste. We were offered a new one for the chicken satay. But instead, we opted for a schnitzel, which only arrived after everyone else had finished eating. A shame, but we won't be seeing them again. But to end on a positive note, the ice creams were delicious, but also expensive at €2 for a small scoop, but we were happy just because they were good!

The food is okay, not spectacular. If you order a set menu, the price-quality ratio is good. The service is very friendly.

Good food at a reasonable price. The service wasn't great; they forgot about us in the kitchen. We had to wait over 50 minutes for our main course, and only after we asked. No apology or compensation, a real missed opportunity. My partner ordered dessert and I ordered an Irish coffee, but the latter never arrived. When I asked about it, they looked very surprised, so I went to pay.

Good food... nice play area for the kids... nice restaurant... small glitch in the kitchen, but that was quickly resolved. Only with a large group, a bit more fries, raw vegetables, and food could have been served. There was far too little, the dishes were very small, just enough for one person.

Beautiful restaurant, spacious seating, good acoustics. Excellent food, although the fish was cooked way too hard for my grandson. And unfortunately, we had to wait a really long time for both our appetizer and main course. Larger groups went first, and we were forgotten.

Charming restaurant with several different rooms. Because of that, you didn't realize how big it is. Delicious food. Friendly staff. I was just in the wrong place. Probably in the air conditioning vent; there was a draft. There was a small mix-up at checkout, which we only discovered when we got home. They charged the wrong table. I called to tell them. They had just discovered it because the other table wanted to pay. Luckily, there was almost no difference in the bill 😉. We will definitely come back here when we're in the area again. Most importantly... the food was good.

We thoroughly enjoyed the wine dinner, highly recommended! A delicious four-course meal, with a choice of starters and main courses. Each course was paired with a lovely wine. The service was superb, as was Daniel Roos's singing and piano playing. We'll definitely be back.

Something’s odd about the vibe/deco. Additionally we said we came just for drinks. She hesitated a little and then said it is very crowded and they usually don’t do that. Eventually still brought us to a table… at least 25 free places all around the restaurant 😏 beer was ok though

De kern van het restaurant bestaat uit groot: Niet alleen het gebouw zelf maar ook de porties. Wij hadden het driegangenmenu gekozen, maar na het voorgerecht waren we al blij geen brood bij het inleidend drankje te hebben gekozen. Het dessert kregen we beiden niet eens op. Het was over het algemeen best lekker, maar het was te veel.

This was our first time dining here, but definitely not our last! We were truly pampered from start to finish. Even our birthday son received a lovely gift. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were a group of seven, and all the dishes arrived simultaneously. They were delicious and beautifully presented. And a huge plus: you're not sitting right next to each other, so you don't hear what the next table is talking about. Very spacious and beautifully decorated! Vandaag geluncht bij dit restaurant met vrienden. De sfeer van het restaurant is door de moderne inrichting erg goed. Het menu is beperkt en dat is goed. De bestelde gerechten waren heerlijk van smaak. We eindigden met een koffie/thee met lekkernij een leuke verrassing. Vriendelijk personeel en de prijs-/kwaliteitverhouding was erg goed.

We dined with eight people, one of whom had a milk, soy, and egg allergy. This isn't always easy for a restaurant. But at Nieuw Schaijk, it wasn't a problem at all. They make everything themselves and can, after consultation, serve a wide variety of delicious dishes. And if there were any doubts, they worked tirelessly with the kitchen team to ensure nothing could go wrong. We all enjoyed the delicious food and drinks, and the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Once you have ordered, the starter is on the table within 5 minutes, the main course does not take long either and as soon as they come to collect the plates they immediately ask if you want to order a dessert, then we said that we wanted to let the food settle first, the waitress says she understands that but is back at the table within 5 minutes to ask if you already knew, in short, if you do not arrange it yourself, you will be outside again within an hour with a bloated feeling and that is not really an evening of cozy dining....

Nice restaurant, atmosphere was also good but the food was very disappointing. I had ordered tenderloin pieces but the pieces of meat were so small that you can't call them pieces. And they could never have been medium-fried. You had to look for the meat in the dish.

Stond vandaag mwt ons gezin bij nieuw schaijk bij de ijsafdeling. Echter nadat ik daar meer als een kwartier gewacht had en er geen klanten aan dd balie waren werden we niet geholpen. Als je een ijsbuffet hebt voor voorbijgangers is het wel prettig als je deze mensen niet negeert maar helpt of aangeeft waarom jedesd mensen niet kunt helpen

We went for the menu, two minutes! after ordering the first course was already on the table, soup of the day and carpaccio, reasonable but nothing special, when picking up indicated that the next course could wait a little longer, but I think the customer focus of the service due to inexperience? is lacking, took exactly 4 minutes and there was the main course! freshly prepared?? meat very dry, side dishes minimal, a large portion of fries. The rest was left for what it was, paid and left, a shame for such a beautiful location! Not to be repeated

Delicious food. Service was a bit less. Our 7 year old son ordered nachos as a starter, they didn't mention that the bowl was warm. He burned his fingers on the bowl. This really bothered him. Next time mention that the plates/bowls are warm.

Had brunch here with 6 people... Food was fine, we were waited on, greeted and guided to a table by a number of staff members. The space is very large and therefore the location lacks good acoustics and the atmosphere is somewhat less intimate and friendly....

Reserved a table by telephone and arrived on time. We were assigned a table (217) for 2. We sat separately from the rest of the guests, which was already very unpleasant. After half an hour, there were still no orders taken, not even for drinks, while the staff just saw us sitting there and simply ignored us. Super bad. We just went and reported this. They apologized to us and received 2 x vouchers of €7.50 if we came back again. Hang on, we won't be coming back.

Beautiful new building and a cozy luxurious interior, with cozy little corners. The menu provides sufficient choice for the €40 menu. Excellent price-quality ratio. For: Season soup of course the asparagus soup Recommended: sea bass fillet, perfectly fried on the skin ⭐️ Point of improvement: a little more vegetables and sauce could have been added (these were delicious 🥰) Dessert: pecan caramel merengue 🧡 too delicious 😋

Delicious food, there was even a seniors menu. Well dosed and we were allowed to sleep in our camper.

I had indicated in advance that I wanted to eat meat, but not pork. Unfortunately this went wrong several times. First I was served dishes with pork, after which I indicated this to the waiter. They offered an alternative, which I really appreciated. However, instead of just replacing the pork products, my entire lunch became vegetarian, which meant I no longer got dishes that I would have wanted to eat (such as the chicken salad and carpaccio sandwich). Eventually some was restored, but not all. It wasn't busy at that time, so it was a shame that there was so much confusion. 'No pork' is a fairly simple request, and it would be nice if this was paid more attention to in the future, so that guests with dietary requirements or preferences can simply enjoy their meal without any fuss.

Omdat we enkele Jumbo Dinerkaarten met een actie-menu hadden, hebben we vooraf gereserveerd en dit restaurant met een groep bezocht. We kregen een leuke tafel van de vriendelijk bediening. Er is een ruime en goede keuze (3 gangen) van de actie-menu kaart. En het eten was erg lekker. Het restaurant heeft een aangename sfeer en ontspannen omgeving. Geen herrie, terwijl de eetzaal goed bezet was. Het personeel is gastvrij en attent. Zeker de moeite waard om restaurant Nieuw Schaijk te bezoeken!

Sorry this restaurant is rated so highly. Logically everything is new. Better now focus on the things that are important, eating well. We had 3 satay and salmon. Well, satay isn't even half gone. Should be chicken thigh satay. So greasy and tough. Nobody's finished it. Worst satay ever eaten. Staff will come and ask if everything is to your liking. Honestly, he shrugs his shoulders and walks away. Then don't ask anything. Not even asked for extra drinks. The salmon wasn't perfect either. Salad was also dipped with dressing. Coincidentally, a colleague goes 3 weeks later and he had the same thing. So never again for me. Cafeteria satay is usually better.

During a bike ride we had lunch at Restaurant Nieuw Schaijk. Very nice new business. The menu was also special, we opted for a 12-hour meat and vegetarian menu. Very tasty. Highly recommended! Also excellent service!

For the first time in the new restaurant. How beautiful it turned out! Divided into smaller seating areas with beautiful surroundings. I was afraid it would be noisy. But, that wasn't too bad. Service friendly and fast. Parking good. But, above all; the food was excellent. Very tasty and more than enough. And I haven't had so many vegetables with one meal in a while! The appetizers and desserts were also clearly homemade. Compliments!

Wat een prachtig pand. Zelf ben ik (waar we lunchte) niet kapot van de kleurstellingen. Het doet wat aula-achtig aan. De snert was heerlijk. Bediening prima. Broodje gehaktbal had ik eigenlijk niet moeten bestellen, erg veel maar prima. Ik weet niet of ik hier snel zou gaan dineren? De kaart voor diner is ook niet echt spannend. Tip? Werk met meer kleuren in de enorme ruimtes van het pand. Dit gebouw heeft een enorme potentie.

I was here for a photo shoot of a 60th wedding anniversary. The staff gave plenty of room for this. Super simple and that can also be said.

Price-quality is top, beautifully set up and fantastic location, so there are plenty of opportunities to really turn this into a successful catering business. @nieuwschaijk give attention to guests who are away later in the evening by visiting regularly and don't let puppies run your store too much on Sunday evenings.

Na een heerlijke maar o zo koude wandeling gingen wij dit restaurant binnen met de hoop op een goede kop hete soep. Wat een bittere teleurstelling. Mijn kreeftensoep was gewoon koud en de beschreven gamba's bleken ordinaire noordzeegarnalen te zijn. Bovendien was er niets vers aan te bekennen net zoals de tomatensoep van mijn partner. Deze laatste was lauw ten teken dat het in ieder geval naast een kookvuur had gestaan.

Great restaurant. I myself have a gluten allergy, which means that eating out is always a different experience. The menu indicates that they take your diet into account. The menu included chicken satay that could be adjusted gluten-free. Unfortunately, the adjustment was to omit sauce, prawn crackers and fried onions. So what was left was a skewer of chicken pieces The sauce over the broccoli was served in a separate glass. Madam, you are not allowed to do this. Contains gluten So broccoli out of the water. Then you can really put it on the map, we leave everything out instead of adapting. Shame. This is no feast for people who have to follow a gluten-free diet. My husband, without any dietary adjustments, had a delicious meal at this restaurant.

When 3/4 of the dish was finished I found a hair in the food, but yes, the dish was almost finished and there was nothing more we could do! Definitely don't go there! Update, we did have dinner with you on November 23. This has also been confirmed by them, I provided their telephone number at their request but have not heard anything since!

Just had a delicious meal on Christmas Day! Delicious food, great service and a beautiful restaurant with a chic Christmas atmosphere. Prime location, resurrected after a fire. 60th wedding anniversary of uncle and aunt. Very nice room, spacious. Friendly staff, and a great buffet. Plenty of parking.

So great that unfortunately there was no room for us. But it looks super attractive and cozy! We will come back soon after we have made a reservation 😉

Nice and cozy place to sit and eat and drink well

There are still some issues with the service, but waiting two hours for the main course to be served is very long, especially with small children. First time here but never again.
