Beautiful establishment and very good service

Enjoyed a delicious meal during a day trip to Oldenzaal. Cozy place and friendly staff. Fantastic!

Very cozy location with a beautiful terrace.

Far too small portions. We were given a portion per person. A small bowl of fries smaller than a beer coaster and 1.5 high with fries. It would have fit in a coffee cup. We immediately ordered fries and saw a €4 extra charge on the bill for the extra fries. We ate a sandwich when we got home. Absolutely not enough! Try Montimar in Boxtel or Rosmalen; it's a world of difference. The quality is much better, and then you've truly eaten and are satisfied.

The lunch is very good. It's a shame the dinner selection is limited.

The atmosphere and location are cozy, and the staff is friendly—that wasn't the problem. But the food, unfortunately, was disappointing. The €65 sharing platter was disappointing: the satay was dry, the spare ribs were dry and bland, and the shrimp were at best a 6. For that price, we really expected more. It's a shame, because preparing satay and spare ribs shouldn't be rocket science.

Great café in Oisterwijk. We had a delicious borrel platter. A truly Dutch dish. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the service was truly excellent.

A very cozy restaurant where it's always pleasantly busy with people. Which is something I love. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices of the food and drinks are good. I love coming here for drinks and food.

Had lunch here and unfortunately got the worst hamburger ever. For €19 I got a dried out bun with a piece of meat so small it looked more like a meatball, and a few wilted lettuce leaves. When the waitress asked if everything tasted good, I honestly said that it was very disappointing. Her only response was that she would pass it on to the kitchen - no solution was offered. In the end we paid €55 for lunch, after which I left feeling very dissatisfied.

I ordered the club sandwich, and it was a huge disappointment. Instead of the classic toasted bread, it came on soft, untoasted bread with some “hexen kaas,” a single thin slice of cold chicken filet, and sad, limp vegetables. To make it worse, it was served with 8 pieces of nacho chips, which didn’t fit the dish at all. For €16, I expected a proper, satisfying meal — but this felt more like a children’s lunch bread with zero quality and effort. Definitely not worth the price.

Specially for De Tijd to Oisterwijk. But what we experienced tonight does not match our previous experiences. We had to ask for drinks and to be allowed to eat. Tables full of empty plates and the staff stands there and watches. Such a shame, for the owner in terms of turnover, but especially for the experiences of the guests. It is De Tijd to approach things differently.

Lunch at busy restaurant on New Years day. Loved the menu and atmosphere.

Today I had lunch with my daughter. My daughter did not get tuna, but chicken on the sandwich she ordered. This can happen. There were several sincere apologies and it was resolved quickly and very correctly. Compliments to the very friendly and helpful staff.

This morning we had breakfast at Eetcafe De Tijd with 4 people. We ordered the breakfast platter for 2 people and 3 toasted sandwiches The toasted sandwich and sauce were delicious. As for the breakfast platter and service, it was very bad. There were many employees present but they were mainly having a good time with each other instead of taking care of the customers. We had to order drinks at the bar 3 times, even though there were only 2 customers inside. Then we had to go back because yogurt was served without spoons And then I haven't even mentioned the breakfast platter itself, which is definitely not worth €32.50. I don't write a review quickly, but for €64.- for breakfast we thought it was very bad. The other customer who was inside also started complaining about the service, the employees were having a good time with each other but there was no attention for the customers at all. This was also indicated at checkout and the answer was I understand.. It was our first time with you but also the last time unfortunately.

We regularly eat at De Tijd, but yesterday we were really surprised at how things turned out. We were 5 people and we all ordered a main course with fries. The fries were dramatically bad. It looked like they had refried the fries in the deep fryer. Full of fat and especially very dark in color, much too hard and certainly not tasty. In addition, there was leftovers of a schnitzel or another piece of meat among the fries. It was seriously very bad. We reported this, but in our view the lady who spoke to us was not having her day because we did not get a good feeling about how she responded. She did offer us new fries, but she could also guarantee us that the fries were indeed freshly made, and that really didn't sit well with us. as if we weren't right while you could even see that it was certainly not okay. We eat here often and this time it was simply really bad. Finally the new fries arrived when we had just about finished our main course. So you missed the exit. We all didn't get a good feeling about the young lady who came to us. We are residents of Oisterwijk and I am also an entrepreneur myself, but I got the feeling as if we did not matter and I think it is very bad that you think you have to behave this way. My wife was extremely agitated at how it was handled. We will of course come again in the future, but we don't want to experience this again. All 5 of us had the same feeling. Not good and even very bad. We are not used to this from De Tijd.

Rendang sandwich, unfortunately nothing at all. And no, I'm not a whiner, but 2 chunks of meat ala cat food, lukewarm, left too long, so the sandwich was limp and wet, Redang tasted like, yeah, I don't know. Everything seemed to come straight out of the microwave. Should have mentioned it at the beginning, whining afterwards is not the way to do it, I was told, and the service was gone. Indeed, but then it was still put in the microwave to warm up, I think? I was assured not. Too bad I never saw me there again.

Delicious lunch on a weekday! It was pleasantly busy, which for me is a good sign of the quality of the business. The service was hospitable and made us feel welcome straight away. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was fantastic. We will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

Had a great time there! Service always nice to talk to, food was tasty. Nothing to complain about, it was super busy but they were helped perfectly through the crowds. We had to wait, which they did with a so-called 'waiting sign', after a drink at the bar we were allowed to take a seat. Top top!

Snert was a thick mealy substance with no taste. Onion soup tasted like a package from the supermarket, few onions and NO promised cheese, which is essential for the soup. The piece of bread floating in it was a thick, tough piece of cap.

Nice restaurant. We met for a business lunch and the service was fast and efficient. Lunch suggestion was tasty and the sausage roll as you would expect in the region. I had Guus's song Brabant in my head for the rest of the afternoon on the way back. You will see why during checkout.

Had a delicious espresso in the morning with a small pastry. With three people, €30 for a quick cup of coffee is the upper limit for me.

Tried to go for lunch yesterday afternoon. I ordered a cappuccino and my wife a coke. When the waitress brought this, she threw the cappuccino over the table, covering everything, including our clothes and the menu. Of course, accidents can happen where work is being done and we didn't make a fuss about that. The waitress apologized and dried everything up. She would return with new drinks and a new menu. However, the drinks were brought by a colleague and we never received the menu. When we went to pay, the incident was not even mentioned. It wasn't busy and there were 4 staff members lounging behind the bar.

This is really our favorite terrace on the Lind. Once again we wanted to have a nice lunch. What really bothered us was that a man sat next to us smoking just as our food was being served. Why are there ashtrays on the table here??? Why doesn't the staff intervene when guests are clearly bothered by the stench? We were not the only ones who were bothered by it, other guests also reacted irritated. It is really outdated that smoking is allowed in a restaurant. Because a terrace can also be regarded as a restaurant, if food is served there! In this way, non-smokers are forced to sit indoors, even though the weather is nice. Take an example of Anvers in Tilburg, where smoking is not allowed on the terrace.

Delicious food in a casual atmosphere. Operation could be a little faster. The menu is on a placemat that is printed daily (sometimes even several times a day), so with birthdays and the weather forecast. Quite funny.

We regularly eat a breakfast platter at De Tijd. Also this morning. That was also the last time. Where we previously paid 21 euros for two people, today it was 32.60 euros!!!! A completely unacceptable price increase. This is very unfortunate!
