Had a wonderful meal thanks to the Plus savings offer. Delicious tomato soup with a slice of baguette as a starter. *I do miss the herb butter, though*. The farmer's schnitzel was excellent, and the desserts? Well...still incredibly delicious! The service was friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.

Everything was fine except the fries which were too spicy and too salty.

We had a really bad experience. The food was delicious, but the ending was a bit unpleasant! Our son—it's a miracle he's still alive—had terrible years and uncertain times (thankfully, he's no longer in a wheelchair!) was laughed at by two men and two women! "What fun," I said! My husband arrived a bit later and wondered what was going on! We looked back inside where they, including one staff member, were having a great time. In a word, stupid and scandalous! Sophie

It's absolutely fantastic here. We went for dinner twice last weekend, staying overnight in Zutphen. What a wonderfully friendly place with a team that radiates joy. This team works so hard. The food is fantastic and very affordable.

Had a delicious lunch today. I had a chicken pesto grilled cheese sandwich, and my mom had a brie grilled cheese sandwich. Both tasted great. We also both had a cappuccino, which was also very good. The price was good, too. There was a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended.

Great service, delicious food, and a cozy terrace. We did manage to snag a sunny spot because all the shaded spots were reserved, even though no one was there. Still, I would definitely come back!

The weather was nice, a nice terrace in front of the church, the cappuccino was delicious.

It was a wonderful experience with the fries and truffle mayonnaise—truly delicious. My friend enjoyed his burger, which was also very tasty. Unfortunately, my spare ribs were a bit lukewarm, so they were gone quickly. Maybe a little less marinade would be an option for me next time. Or perhaps a container with lemon or cloths for the spare ribs. We were asked quite often if we wanted another drink. I understand this is common practice in restaurants, but it was perhaps a bit too frequent. It was nice that they poured the bottle into the glass, which is not something you see very often anymore. There were plenty of staff, so we didn't have to wait long. The Dame Blanche was excellent, a good size and delicious whipped cream.

Ordered a coupe of berries. The ice cream and whipped cream were okay. The berries were practically nonexistent (flown over?). Syrups and other toppings left a lingering flavor.

Just stopped by for cappuccino and apple pie. Excellent, with real whipped cream.

Great terrace, the street is a bit busy. But there's always something to see.

Food is ok, a bit salty and pork tenderloin not pink but well done. Service more than ok. Price quality ratio is slightly out of balance. Very child friendly in terms of design, high chairs etc. available. Atmosphere top, nicely decorated.

What a pleasant cafe. The dinner menu is varied with lots of choice. Because we had a hard time choosing, we finally chose the round table. A 3-course menu with a selection from the menu. It was delicious. Congratulations to the kitchen and service.

Looking forward to Jansen and Jansen tonight. Our order was taken by a blonde employee with glasses who we felt exuded an indifferent attitude. After we sat there for a while, we saw that more and more guests who came after us were being served delicious food. After half an hour we made eye contact with the employee, unfortunately nothing came to mind. After an hour of waiting we gently asked if they had forgotten us?? You then sit among the other guests with a certain amount of embarrassment and feel burdened by the question. The receipt appeared to have disappeared. You prepare yourself for something, but you go home with a major disappointment. Shame.

Delicious food on a nice terrace in the center of Hengelo. I had salmon with asparagus and potatoes. Delicious menu and perfectly prepared. Service and atmosphere are good.

Rarely have you eaten so well. Everything is correct, service is smooth and they know what they are talking about. The cafe is attractively decorated.

Review of Eetcafé Jansen & Jansen On March 5, 2025, I drove to Eetcafé Jansen & Jansen by motorcycle for dinner. There is plenty of parking around the cafe, which is very convenient. There is also a terrace where you can sit outside when the weather is nice. I ordered the surf & turf, which was served with fries and a salad, both included in the price. For those who prefer, the fries can be replaced by fried potatoes. The dish was well prepared and tasted excellent. The ambiance in the cafe is cozy and the service is quick and friendly. All in all a pleasant dining experience and definitely a place to come back to. Final rating: 4/5

Delicious food, good service and attractive atmosphere.

Went here today after a long walk, and I must say the food was excellent. Me and my wife took a 12 hour break. Really super tasty and good quality of the food. Service was friendly and you were helped quickly. We then have an excuse to go for a walk in Hengelo again, and then to eat here. It was also pleasantly busy. Restaurant is nice and cozy inside.

A Friday lunch just after Jansen and Jansen's holiday in Hengelo-GLD. Warm welcome and order placed quickly. Quick choice from the lunch menu: Jansen and Jansen 12 hours. Everything quickly on the table and friendly service. Nice flavor and the different parts are not too big and not too small. We'll do it again!

Nice on the outside Wow You drive through Holland and find this great restaurant. We were too early for the dinner menu but they were flexible and made us something to eat. We had wild and that was perfect. Please go there - really great

Went today and it was busy but the staff coped well and were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I thought was a shame because it is quite a luxurious tent as the toilets were in complete disarray with overflowing waste bins and toilet paper everywhere on the floor. The food was delicious and very much But the one star I don't give is really for the poor hygiene and mess in the toilets and the dogs that were inside. I know it was busy, but it was only 1 p.m. and that bodes well for the rest of the day. Therefore one star less

Had an amazing meal from the game menu. Starter duo of duck and main course wild duck breast fillet. Both with a delicious red wine. Highly recommended to eat here during the game season.

Stopped at J&J for lunch during a motorcycle ride last week. For our group of 8 men/women, a nice half-sun/half-shade spot was reserved on the terrace on the other side. The lunch menu had something for everyone and every dish was equally tasty. Service very attentive and hospitable. Motorcycles in view of P-spot on the other side. We will definitely come back here.

Cozy terrace, although the tables are very close together. Service was good, despite the crowds we were helped quickly by friendly employees. The waiting time for our lunch was also acceptable given the full terrace. Food: the chicken teryaki salad was fine. Well filled with various types of lettuce, lots of chicken, nuts and delicious sauce. The Jansen and Jansen salad with crispy chicken was less so. The chicken was tasty (and a lot of it) but the salad was a lot of the same and little dressing. This could have been a bit more tasteful.

Very friendly staff, bringing a dog is no problem and it is also brought in just as friendly. Food was exceptionally good, as was the service. Attention to all tables, despite the busy evening. Enjoyed an extensive dinner. Starters, mains and desserts were great! Watching the staff run fast all evening, with (apparently) fun and good cooperation with each other. A big compliment to the owners, not to mention the staff, for providing us with a beautiful evening. Highly recommended to visit here.
