Had a delicious meal on a busy (and slightly noisy) Saturday evening. The owners had to pull out all the stops to keep everything running smoothly, and they succeeded. The owners aren't Italian, but the dishes are works of art. Truly one of the better Italian restaurants. I'll be back soon.

We had an incredibly delicious meal. The people working there definitely know what they are serving. The seasonal dish was also recommended by the staff, and we ordered that too. It was so incredibly tasty! We also had a guest in a wheelchair, and they took excellent care of them! And we haven't even mentioned the dessert yet. That topped everything off!! Because we enjoyed ourselves so much, we are going to eat there again tomorrow.

I've had a delicious meal twice already; both the pastas and pizzas are very good. The dessert is tasty too. However, the service could be a bit faster. I had to wait a very long time for the food both times (starters, main courses, and desserts all took a very long time). And the staff don't come by quickly to ask if everything is to your liking or if you want another drink. So, if you want to sit for a long time, this is a good restaurant, but if you have little patience, it is a downside. The atmosphere, on the other hand, is cozy. Update: The owner had read my review and called to apologize for the long wait and to explain that the kitchen was understaffed that evening. He also insisted that I receive a free bottle of bubbly from him as a consolation. When I picked it up, the female owner was there too, so I had a quick chat with her. Both are super friendly, and you can tell in everything that they are doing their best for the restaurant! I will definitely be back here!

Had a fantastic lunch here with good friends. We all had a different pasta and everyone enjoyed it. Lovely spot and very friendly service. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby, but we would love to be back soon!

Brasato di Manzo con polenta fritae carote, or as I understood it, a short rib in red wine sauce with polenta and fried carrots. This is currently the weekly special, but it really should be on the autumn/winter menu! What a tasty sauce! Perfect combination of dishes! Thank you.

We had another delicious meal! We have to drive over 1.5 hours to get here, but we do it gladly, because the food here is fantastic every time. The ossobuco is incredibly tender, the pasta vongole is delicious, and we prefer to order every dessert on the menu because everything is equally tasty (if you absolutely have to/want to choose: torta con pistacchio ❤️). We would love to be back again soon!

Starter: fish fried for far too long, very dry. Main course: pasta vongole with frozen vongole, very bad. Pizza: far too salty and very dry. And your comment that the plate was empty doesn't mean it's good, and I regularly get fresh vongole myself in the Achterhoek, so it's not that difficult. But I'll leave it at that. You clearly don't know what you're talking about regarding fresh vongole.

Rarely have I experienced such poor service. Our reserved table was still occupied, it took a long time before we could order our first drink, and even longer before we could order the food. We had to wait a bit for the starter, but the main course took so long after that that we had to ask where it was. A veal cutlet with some gravy and no extra garnish for 30 euros, and pasta that was undercooked. A mumbled apology was about all we managed. The consolation prize (a small glass of limocello) was served as a mere token gesture. In between courses, we weren't asked if we wanted another drink either; we had to ask for that as well. In summary: bad place, definitely not recommended, very disappointing for too much money.

We had a delicious lasagna here yesterday. And our son loved it too; considering his autism, it was nice and light and spacious, and he enjoyed his cappuccino. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish the pizzas, but the staff were kind enough to give them to us in a pizza box. And he ate the rest of the tasty pizza in the evening.

Top Italian restaurant: delicious food, friendly people, and a good vibe. For me, this is the Toscanini of the Achterhoek.

Yesterday I picked up food from Trattoria Municipio. The Cannelloni Carne was very tasty and well-seasoned, although the tomato sauce was very meager—there was really almost nothing of it. Additionally, the baby potatoes were fine. Although prices are known in advance and many restaurants charge the same price for takeout, I still found it quite expensive in hindsight (€19 for the cannelloni and €5 for the baby potatoes). We had a nice meal, but for a takeout meal, the price-quality ratio is on the high side; prices around €15 for the cannelloni and €3.50 for the baby potatoes would have felt better.

We dined at Trattoria Municipio for the first time tonight. Bruschetta as a starter, followed by Pizza Mare, and finishing with tiramisu. Excellent taste and a great host. A solid 5*, we will definitely be back!

I was here on May 24th; the food was super tasty and we were treated well by a young man with brown hair. However, I noticed that the staff were being spoken to in a very vulgar manner by what appeared to be a manager. I do not appreciate this, so I do not recommend this place.

You can have a very nice and cozy meal there. The service could be so much better; they leave a lot of empty glasses standing around. At one point, I had an empty wine glass in front of me, as well as two empty coffee cups. It took a very long time before you get a new drink, and when you finally get a new drink, the old one remains standing. The kitchen really deserves compliments to the chef; it was very tasty. The service really needs to be better next time.

Last night we had a delicious meal together with my boyfriend. We finally got to eat Ossobuco again, and my boyfriend had a delicious Sea Bream. We had a really lovely evening together and enjoyed some great Italian food. Pleasant service and a big compliment to the kitchen crew! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a nice, casual Italian meal. And that in the Achterhoek 😉

A while ago, on the recommendation of an acquaintance, we went to eat here with my son and in-laws. We had a really delicious meal. My son is a picky eater but loved the pizza, and the desserts too, delicious ice cream 🤤 We're going again this summer, already looking forward to it! Kudos to the chef and the staff!

Yes, only 1 star for this restaurant. Not because of the quality of the food, which, with a few minor points of improvement, is perfectly fine. Nor because of the service, which is friendly (English) and knowledgeable. Nevertheless, a 1-star rating (no star is not possible) is due to online reservations through Zenchef. This organization is increasingly persuading restaurants to handle reservations through them. It's fine if the restaurant chooses to do so, but don't bother the customer with it. For example, you cannot book online at Trattoria Municipio without accepting Zenchef's Terms and Conditions. Making a reservation also means your personal information is shared with them. These terms and conditions, a 22-page document!, are full of bizarre legal clauses, such as: “To use the Services, You must consult, understand, and accept these Terms and Conditions. You declare and acknowledge (i) that You are of legal age or equivalent and have full legal capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions, and guarantee this to the Restaurant, and (ii) that You are aware of the nature, purpose, and characteristics of the Services, as well as the requirements for their use.” And also: “These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. This applies to both the substantive and formal rules, regardless of the place where the substantive or ancillary obligations are performed. The French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any disputes arising from the application of these Terms and Conditions or directly or indirectly from the use of the Services. The reference language for the resolution of any disputes shall be French.” Unfortunately, many people will unknowingly tick the "acceptance terms" box, but we live in a time when you have to ask yourself whether that is wise.

We had a delicious meal! A good restaurant in a nice historic building. The food was very tasty. During the main course, we shared a few dishes that all tasted good. The dessert, the torta di meringa e toffee, is also highly recommended. The atmosphere in the restaurant itself could be a bit better; everything looks neat, but it is a bit pale. As far as I'm concerned, the decor could be a bit cozier. The service is sometimes a bit slow. But with good company, this isn't necessarily bothersome.

Always friendly, always delicious, and the dog is welcome. I've decided to make it a monthly ritual to have lunch alone. It's so nice that they focus on taste rather than quantity. Although there's nothing wrong with that either. It's great that they exist in this village.

Recommended by a friend, this has definitely become one of my new favorite restaurants 😊 The dishes are incredibly tasty. I almost always order three courses here, because the desserts are divine. I'm a fan of the limoncello dessert 🍋🍋‍🟩 I usually have the mixed bruschetta as a starter. And the spreads with the bread basket are also highly recommended. They come with good, tasty olives. The pastas are fresh and the portions are excellent. The pizzas are also very tasty. The ambiance is cozy. There's a lovely atmosphere. And the staff is incredibly friendly. My brother and sister run a gem of an Italian restaurant here! If you have a special request, they will do everything they can to make it happen. And last but not least, the Pinot Grigio is delicious and the glasses are always well filled 😉 Ciao!

I ate here in January 2024 on the recommendation of neighbors. Excellent service and excellent food. I went again in July, and it all went wrong. My daughter received undercooked and lukewarm pasta, and my grilled chicken was undercooked and cost me a night's sleep, with the inevitable consequences. The service was incompetent, and the suggestion to cook the chicken a little longer while my table companions were already well into their main course was completely pointless. After I expressed my dissatisfaction again the following Monday, I was told they were sorry but hoped we would choose them again next time. When I explained that this response was very limited, I was asked, "What should I say?" I would say at the very least an apology, a voucher worth half the bill, and an offer to make amends in terms of the quality of the food and service. The table next to us also had a very bad experience because a waitress broke a glass, dropping it partly on the table and the rest on the floor. They did a bit of sweeping with a dustpan and brush, but there were splinters both on the table and around it. There was an empty table elsewhere, and they should have offered it to these people. To date, I haven't heard from the owner, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here; it's obvious I wouldn't recommend it.

This restaurant has become one of my favorites! A very cozy place with a pleasant atmosphere and incredibly delicious cuisine. We waited a long time, over fifteen minutes, for our first drink and then had to give up our choice. The starter consisted of three different bruschettas. The taste was very bland and nothing special. The main course, ravili, was fine, and the main course, cod with garlic and a hint of pepper, was mediocre. I didn't taste a single pepper. Dolce Tiramisu, served in a glass, why?, and the mascarpone was far too compact. A shame for what could be a delicious dessert.

Nice shop with a lovely terrace, high price level

A quick bike stop for coffee and a snack on the terrace. The coffee was delicious. The apple pie: a small, flat piece with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream. The bill: 26 (!) euros for 2 people. Unfortunately, only this restaurant was open on Mondays.

I regularly eat here with family and/or friends. They have an extensive menu, including vegetarian options (they could use more). The food and desserts are always delicious. The price/quality ratio is excellent, and I always find the staff very friendly. Highly recommended if you're in the area, even just for a drink on the terrace.

Delicious food with very friendly service

Celebrated my birthday with our sons (who work in hospitality) and their girlfriends. Everything was perfect. From the best prosecco I've ever tasted to the excellent coffee. ...and all that on a Monday evening. It felt (and tasted) like a mini-vacation in Italy. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely place where you can relax.

Price quality not okay, for what we got it was way too expensive.

We received a warm welcome from the staff and the owner/manager on the spacious terrace adjacent to the beautiful building. My girlfriend and I enjoyed two generous, delicious dishes and a delicious dessert. The wine was also generously poured. All in all, a very successful experience – definitely worth repeating if we're ever in the area again.

This restaurant is TOP. We had a special request and that is also possible in this nice restaurant. We let ourselves be surprised by the chef. The only thing we wanted was pichana in Italian style. Well I can say that this was a super success. Also the tasting of starters and desserts was in one word great. Thanks again for the hospitality and the delicious food!!

I am a huge fan of this nice restaurant in the Achterhoek. A really nice place, with especially delicious food. I have eaten here with different groups and everyone has been very enthusiastic so far. A real recommendation if you are looking for a place where they serve real Italian dishes.

Unfortunately the dishes are not as before. The Penne with Vodka had little taste little chicken and no bacon anymore the Vodka not tasted. The Spaghetti was also dry and not very tasty. Carpaccio was delicious on the other hand the tuna carpaccio very little on the plate. Dishes have really deteriorated very unfortunate location is fine.

We won't come here anymore, hospitality is clearly different for local residents. Shame, good food (we often came here when we are in the Achterhoek) but now poor service/reception. Booked 1 week in advance, you will be placed at a 4-person table with 5 adults and a high chair. We had to wait a really long time before the first drink was taken. People who came in after us were served immediately. . When serving, the staff indicates that it is a bit tight. We thought so too. After a long wait and having already finished the plates, we asked for a second drink. The neighbors at our table enjoyed it, it was an 8 person table, clearly not. Our apologies for that. The separation was created with a vase of flowers. The little one (13 months) became a bit difficult and noisy, asking if we could order dessert a little faster. received the card for dessert, quickly made a choice, the recording went the same as with the drinks. Recording the dessert ultimately took too long. And we decided to pay without dessert. It's a shame for this beautiful place with delicious food to be treated so poorly as guests! When we left we were simply laughed at by a member of staff, it was really that bad.

It's been a month since we celebrated our wedding here with a wonderful 8-course dinner. This culinary journey through Italy was accompanied by fantastic wines. What a party! The passion for hospitality, delicious food and drinks shines through. Highly recommended!

As a carbonara lover you can eat a delicious version here where the portion is just right. The taste is really great and other dishes, such as pizza, also look very good. The location is really ideal

On a Wednesday evening it is quiet in the tastefully decorated restaurant. We receive a friendly welcome and can choose a table ourselves. We both order a glass of Primitivo and it is delicious (a second glass follows). We start with a Bruchetta 'mix' as a starter and it is delicious. A selection with Anchovies and butter, Zucchini and meat salad. As a main course we both chose the Papadelle with truffle and mushrooms, also excellent! Homemade Papadelle, pine nuts, tasty mushrooms and truffle. Sprinkled with grated Parmesan. A home-made Teramisu completes a tasty dinner. The price of just over €100 for the entire dinner is appropriate. Every now and then you come across a restaurant where everything is just right!

August 2024 We ended our wonderful week in the Achterhoek with a delicious dinner at Municipio. What a wonderful surprise. Very attractively decorated restaurant with a nice terrace. And what a delicious meal we had. Beautiful dishes, delicious in taste and beautifully served. Excellent service. The love for Italian cuisine is evident. This restaurant alone is a reason for us to come back to the beautiful Achterhoek. Great!! Addition January 2025 We had another weekend in the Achterhoek, so we decided to eat at Municipio again. This time, of course, not on the terrace, but inside the very tastefully and attractively decorated restaurant. It was once again a great success. A nice varied menu with fine Italian dishes. The cooking here is very good. We once again had a delicious meal and enjoyed the nice atmosphere and pleasant service. Unfortunately, there is no other option than to find an excuse to head to Achterhoek as quickly as possible.

Hands down the best pizza I've ever eaten.

Me, my mother and brother happened to be driving by and thought we could have dinner here around Sinterklaas. Reservations were easy online. All 3 of us had a delicious meal, the service was good, and the atmosphere was also pleasant, the decoration of the restaurant also provided atmosphere. Enjoyed it, in short, worth repeating!

Fantastic meal! The grilled chicken in Sicilian sauce was exceptional. Highly recommended! You notice the passion for food in every dish, while the wines and a special cocktail are also really good.

Super tasty food, very friendly and helpful staff and a cozy homely atmosphere. This restaurant has been here for 1.5 years and we had heard many good stories. The pizza base was very tasty, crispy and not dry at all. A misunderstanding about my order between me and the kitchen was neatly resolved with a replacement pizza. My dining companion's food was also very tasty! The wine was great, the dessert was truly a great dessert! We will definitely come here more often 🍕🍝😃

A very nicely decorated restaurant, where it is noticeable that a lot of care has been put into everything. It transcends the mediocre experience in the average pizzeria. We ate tomato soup here which was very fresh, fresh and tasty. Then cannelloni, which was also particularly tasty. The presentation is also beautiful, beautiful plates, beautiful cutlery, etc. The dessert, a lemon tart, was visually a work of art, as was the taste; fresh and sour, not too sweet. Was presented with cream, ice cream, a golden berry, fresh fig, piece of strawberry. We will come back next time with the family to try more dishes. Definitely recommended.
