Nuestro grupo era una familia de 6 con 3 adultos y 3 niños. Estábamos sedientos y hambrientos y elegimos este lugar por conveniencia y no muy lejos después de terminar el tour en bicicleta. La comida era decente, pero el servidor era terrible. Ella estaba colocando los utensilios 1/2 cuando le pedimos que trajera otro vaso ya que 1 de 5 vasos estaba sucio. Dejó caer el resto de servilletas y utensilios sobre la mesa y se fue a buscar el reemplazo. Mi sobrina no vino y tratamos de llamar su atención, lo que pensé que ella intencionalmente nos ignoró y descartó que nos faltaba un plato y luego comentó que el plato estaba en el mostrador. Para añadir insultos a las lesiones, ella murmuró que su máquina está caída y tenemos que pagar en efectivo. Supongo que quieren reportar sus ingresos. Seleccionaría otro restaurante antes de elegir este. La comida no pudo compensar el servicio o la actitud que recibimos.

Keep away! We tried to eat tapas but it tasted old. Was told we could not pay with card when we were finished. When I mentioned there is no sign cash only they said the internet was not working just now and started to argue when we were troubled by this. But I can see more reviews here where they made others pay with card as well so prob. not true. Worst customer service in a long time. If you pay with cash count your change.

The worst paella I’ve eaten in my life. Dry and instead of fish they put kanikama. The calamari a la romana were fast food calamari puree. The jamon/ham was tasteless and the cheese was so young it could have been quark.

Planned on paying cash so didn’t experience any issues, although can attest that there are no indications this café is cash only. Visited for coffee in the morning - coffees were standard and were reasonably priced compared to other cafés we visited in the area.

I was in the Amsterdam restaurant “The Corner” (Martelaarsgracht 26) with my girlfriend on the afternoon of December 31, 2023. Here we ate relatively solid 'fish & chips' and various 'tapas', so at least 3 stars for the food itself. However, when we saw how 'washing up' was done in the restaurant, it was clear to us why one of the tapas bowls previously seemed dirty (the tapas bowl with the dry bitter balls was stained with leftover onions or similar residues that had nothing to do with the bitter balls). can stand): The cutlery was simply dipped several times into a kind of tub filled with water and then dried - no trace of a 'normal', conscientious washing process. During the meal, we also witnessed the host or waiter escorting guests out immediately after they had paid, in order to obviously make room for new customers - for example, the guests in question were not able to go to the toilet in peace. The crowning moment came with our own payment process: After the innkeeper/waiter refused a card payment and asked for 'cash', which we stupidly complied with without checking the bill including the 'tip', we subsequently noticed that we had several drinks on the bill that we had neither ordered nor consumed had. Conclusion: All in all, I can only warn against this restaurant...

They lying and make you pay only with cash.

Bad food, bad beer, made us cross the road to take cash out costing an extra €4 cause they want cash instead of card. Poor establishment

Served us food then said was cash only havoc in the restaurant they did it to everyone people walking out not paying awful service didn’t care just said to everyone you must pay. Food was basic too

Friendly reminder: in the NL it is very unusual if a restaurant forces you to pay in cash, does not allow to pay one by one. The owner said that in the NL you do not pay one by one, but where does Dutch Pay come from? Highly disappointed at the service and the lie. He tried to make foreigners feel bad with this kind of fake remarks without knowing that one of the person in that foreigner group lives in the NL.

Truly awful. Food almost inedible. The staff are also dreadful. Flavourless and with little love put in. Sauces tasted like they were out of a bottle.

Good English breakfast and coffee is good too. Can get busy so service can be slow. Toast is done on the open grill which was yummy.

Attention never enter here. No one warns you that payment is cash only. The staff lie about the card payment system being broken for 3 days, but this situation has been going on for several months. The food is mediocre at best, it feels like it has been heated up in a microwave. Staff forget what you have ordered and give you a beer glass that is wet and full of water. Best be omitted.

Worst place from our 3-day trip in Amsterdam by far. We bought a tuna sandwich and pancake. Tuna were tasteless and straight out of a can, and the sandwich was super dry with no sauce with a tomato on top. The pancake was nothing special with some old strawberries on top.

This is by far the WORST RESTAURANT I have ever been to. We were in a group of seven people still looking for a place to eat, when a man who works there approached us at the door and practically begged us to come in. With an attitude like that, you at least expect good service, right?! Only, on the contrary, the staff was extremely rude. When I asked to change, they forgot my food and I waited forever. On the second attempt, it was wrong again - I had asked for it without mayonnaise and they delivered it with it. But the worst of all was the attendant. I've never seen a ruder person than her in a restaurant. We had barely started eating and she already threw the bill and was rushing everyone because she "didn't have time" to serve us - her words. As there were seven of us, we split the bill. Part was paid in cash and the other two had to be paid by card. She, with the machine in her hand, refused to use the two remaining parts, creating great discomfort. He made light of us and repeated all the time that he didn't "have time for that". In reality, the time she spent making a scene and seeking discussion, she would have already spent the count and left... In short: worst experience ever. Rude service, wrong orders and bad food (I paid too much for a sad portion of almost raw potatoes). My suggestion: stay away! There are lots of places in the region to eat. This restaurant should be closed, if it could, it wouldn't even give it one star.

Do not eat hear. Way to expensive, small sizes and bad. You find better places along the way. I stepped in because people were sitting inside. Check Google review first!!!

Only get it you don’t care about flavour, quantity or appeal as the corners food lacks all of those. Also only cash??

Bad service - very inattentive. Forgot our order and then they came with the wrong food 5 times. The food tasted very disgusting, even frozen food tastes better. Way too expensive for such poor service and poor food.

Mit Paella hatte das Gericht nichts zu tun. Preisleistungs Verhältnis zu teuer. Personal, na ja. Was will man machen, ist Amsterdam.

The waitress was very friendly and polite but the food was bland and dry.

So, Vege burger... is falafel with bun from a bag. The worst one. Ketchup and mayo are from the small bag. Food was served fast but not tasty. Will I come back? Never! Do I wanna recommend this? Only if you are starving and everything is closed.

Can recommend Highly! Simple interior but Good Food! A lot to choose. Quick prepared and tastful presented. VERY helpful and NICE Staff! These are rare to find these days! Will go there again for sure!

wederom een prima Engels ontbijt gegeten. Ontbijt was vers, goed en meer dan voldoende. Prijs en kwaliteit zeker in orde. inclusief thee waren we 25 euro kwijt voor twee personen. vriendelijke bediening en keurig toilet. komen zeker snel weer teug.

Petit café très chaleureux et accueillant avec une vue sur la rue marchande. Les personnes qui travaillent sont très sympathique chaleureuse et à l'écoute du client. On mange très bien pour peu cher ! Idéal pour faire une pause et se rafraîchir, idéal pour bien manger sans forcément devoir payer cher. C'est très abordable ! Je recommande

Preise überzogen. 0,2l sprite 3,70 Euro, medium Heineken 2,95 Euro. Die sparerips waren "ok". Das Entrecote wurde "Medium" bestellt, kam aber beinahe "Well done". Wenn man dort sitzt wird man ständig aus der Küche beobachtet. Ein kleiner Mann, mit ziemlich dünnem Haar, (wir wussten nicht, ob es der Chef war) lief ständig auf und ab und beobachtete uns die ganze Zeit. Da wir zum Zeitpunkt unseres Besuches die einzigen Gäste waren, fiel das natürlich besonders auf. Echt unangenehm. Wir empfehlen diesen Laden niemandem und werden selbst auch nicht wieder hingehen. KEINE KARZENZAHLUNG AKZEPTIERT!! Ein absolutes NoGo, in Corona-Zeiten. Zumal fast jeder kleine Laden in Amsterdam EC-Cash akzeptiert. Deswegen musste meine Frau noch nach einem Automaten (ATM) suchen. Natürlich mit 5 Euro Gebühren. Defektes EC Geräte scheint dort eine beliebte Masche zu sein. Ein Schelm, wer böses denkt.

The atmosphere of this place was quite nice, and seeing as my wife and I were struggling to find a place for dinner near our hotel (it being a holiday and most restaurants booked) we decided to try this place. They had a decent menu with some meat options, typical of what you’d find other places around town. I order a sirloin medium and my wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium as well. Both orders came out completely over well done, with absolutely no flavor. I tried getting the attention of the waitress a few times to no avail. They also failed to leave enough condiments at the table and did not come by once to see how our meal was. The price was outrageous for the food and service we received. Wouldn’t recommend this place, if you can afford the time, find somewhere else.

The owner pushed me to leave saying I spent “too much time” at the bar. I ordered and ate a burger and a pancake (less than one hour since I stepped into the bar). On the other hand, they charge 1€ if you pay by card.

Delicious Burger, big drinks but dirty toilets

Das Steak war in Ordnung, nur stellenweise etwas trocken. Die gebratene Zucchini Scheiben waren labberig und kalt. Dafür waren die Pommes super. Außerdem war es kalt im Restaurant, weil die Tür die ganze Zeit offen stand.

Sat here with a cold beer and watched the world go by. Great time. The pub is very historic.

While the food was not excellent, slightly overcooked there was plenty for the price. So good value for money. Served by a cheery waitress. Ate outside so cant comment on inside but looked clean.

Pedimos una hamburguesa que estaba bien. Pero nos sirvieron un sándwich club que el pollo y la lechuga estaban muy seco. La verdad muy deficiente.
