Delicious food and very friendly staff

What a fantastic restaurant! We had a wonderful time together last night (September 7, 2025). The welcome was very warm, and the staff had set aside a special spot for us outside on the terrace. A bit secluded, but still inviting. Very thoughtful of them. A Cava to start. The food was excellent (starters: escargots and vitello tonnato, main courses: T-bone streak and salmon fillet 'Nobu style'). Fantastic cuisine. For dessert, we had Tiramisu and Cherry Monchou. It was accompanied by a delicious dessert wine and a fire fountain dessert. Everything was excellent. The staff was very friendly, kind, attentive, and quick. In short: we had a fantastic evening.

My experience has taken a turn for the worse after I enjoyed a delicious schnitzel outside, but the taste and atmosphere were ruined by the smokers on the same terrace, who completely ruined the whole experience. There may not be any legislation on this yet, but the owner is certainly free to set their own rules. It's not too much to ask for a two-hour smoking ban so that non-smokers can enjoy themselves too. Ample parking along the water. Prices are comparable to other restaurants. I especially appreciated the preheated plate, which came with a perfectly cooked tournedos. A generous schnitzel was also served with fries. As an extra, I could have opted for a salad, which I felt could have used a bit more dressing.

Well, updating your review...from 5 to 3 stars. First of all, the service is still friendly. But the kitchen is modern now. They've apparently become part of a chain. And they're mainly focused on process control and profit optimization. Snails in margarine, carpaccio that was okay but nothing more. The steak was tender, but I wonder how that was achieved. Fries with fries instead of mayonnaise and lettuce, well, salad, that tasted like some kind of eau de cologne. The free beer for the disappointment didn't make up for it. However kindly intended. For 20 years, I detoured for the Dungense Bridge. Sweet memories...

As always great food, great service..

I haven't been doing much with reviews lately, but everything here was simply fantastic, so I had to take the time to leave a good review. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the price-quality ratio was excellent. Simply fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed it with a group of eight, including a little one.

A lovely place to eat. A place to enjoy a relaxed and relaxed meal without the usual rush. The food is delicious, and there's plenty to choose from on the menu. The staff is also friendly, and the food is still delicious.

We had drinks and dinner here. Lots of (older) visitors came by bike for a cup of coffee. It's a shame, because it's a nice place with a charming restaurant.

Had a great meal on May 29, 2025 and as usual good service. I had the vitello tonato as a starter, the salmon as a main course and chose fries and asparagus as side dishes. Definitely recommended to eat here! Tip as a predecessor: the pata negra!

We have eaten here before, the lunch and dinner are delicious and the service is very helpful and neat. Nothing is too crazy and they take your wishes into account. We will definitely come back here!

De dungense brug is erg achteruit gegaan ,vergeleken met vroeger, erg jammer toen was het een top restaurant. Tegenwoordig kan je beter naar keesje gaan....

We have eaten here often, but the quality has gone down considerably. No love in the dishes at all. We ordered carpaccio, 2 seconds later it arrived at the table. Hard pieces of cheese, dry, it just fell onto the plate. Sad actually. I've never eaten such a bad carpaccio before. This is not a restaurant but a chip shop with high prices and shouting staff, loud talking and above all a lot of fun with each other. No regard for the guests. The waitress was also not very interested. She saw the cheese and said ok, yes I see.... sorry, but maybe take a hospitality course? They don't care. In the past you would get a nice plate, but this looked nothing like it. Very, very bad. The guest is a number here, nothing more.....

The 4 of us went here for dinner. It was the first time but certainly not the last! The food was delicious, it looked cozy inside and the service was absolutely great! One of us is very impatient due to dementia and this was handled perfectly: the food arrived very quickly and they even thought about choosing the right table due to possible "noise" from other large tables that had been reserved. There was a lot on the menu that we would like to try next time: thanks for a nice evening!

Fantastic restaurant with friendly service, beautiful decor and delicious food/drinks

We were welcomed and greeted so pleasantly by the staff on arrival. This already made us feel like we were going to have a good experience. Yente was our waitress and she explained the menu and dishes to us very well and provided us with great recommendations. We really enjoyed our meals and drinks and the service throughout the evening was excellent! The atmosphere was “Gezellig”! Thank you Yente for taking the time to make our evening special. We will be back.

After a nice walk from Den Dungen with my wife, mother, and Theo, we had lunch here. We felt there wasn't much choice for lunch, but there was certainly something we liked. It was also very tasty. And the staff was very helpful and nice!

Nice moderate dining tent, sat outside, but small if you are sitting with 2 people. Every time I walked into a chair and was quickly seated in the blazing sun. Shrimp cocktail was tasty, the chicken satay was disappointing, the satay sauce was so sharp. They forgot the fries. to do. Female staff was nice, I thought the boy was a bit clumsy, kept bumping into my chair, didn't really eat well.

Enjoyed the meal, beautifully served and also very tasty, portions are quite large, (maybe too?) Tonight we tasted the old Dungense bridge again!!!, tasty, delicious and portions sufficient as a few years ago, because that atmosphere was the last time that we were there was unfortunately completely absent. Today, we were there early Friday evening, it later became very busy inside and hot and stuffy (in the past air conditioning was on??), I think that is a negative point for the atmosphere and also for the service, we were forgotten twice The excuse is the crowds, so neither 5 stars. There is something I would like to point out, the prices are quite high, but you choose that yourself and value for money, nothing wrong with that, only 1 bottle of flat table water for €6.25 I think is an absurd price, it is still not even cooled, this should more or less be a service and for half it is acceptable but still well paid, by the way, this price was only found on the final bill, even a bottle of specialty beer is less expensive, this is a big minus. !!

Had dinner here for the first time today and was positively surprised! The service was very friendly and really took the time for the guests. We both had the cod fillet as a main course, not seen this combination before but definitely recommended! We will definitely come back.

+ Ingredient choice. This may sound strange, but normally when I order something with truffle I never actually see it in the dish. Here the curls with truffle were clearly visible on the dish. My friend had wasabi in her dish, which was good, sharp wasabi and not the mess you often see at a sushi place, so compliments for that. + Clean toilets and a nice interior + Many parking spaces around the building +- We received an order from another table a few times, this was quickly noticed and resolved. +/- Price quantity. I got very little meat for the price in my opinion, while my girlfriend got a lot of fish for a reasonable price. -No negatives

Food was a bit disappointing for my taste. Schnitzel was horrible to look at, with a layer of cheese and mushrooms. Cod with rendang on the dry side. Tables are very close together and there are a lot of them.

Over het algemeen matig. Eten komt erg snel. Binnen 55 minuten stukje brood, voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht op en afgeruimd. Het voelt erg gehaast, alsof ze ons snel erdoorheen wilden hebben zodat ze zich op de groepen kunnen concentreren. Voorgerecht en desert waren lekker! Kreeftensoep en stukje taart. T-bone steak matig, stuk vlees op een bord met wat zout en peper. Niet aangesneden, dan hadden ze waarschijnlijk wel gezien dat hij iets langer had gemoeten. Voor het geld verwacht je meer (35€)

Then you think you're going to have a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day... Our table was literally 15 cm from our neighbors on both sides... at Mac Donalds you have even more privacy... We were served hastily (friendly). Beforehand we wanted bread with dippers... That was actually on the table for 2 minutes and our main course was served... Sorry, a mistake by the kitchen, but I'll put it out there... We were perplexed... Says the friendly lady .. I hope you enjoyed it a bit.... Uhhh no... The (extremely friendly) owner came to our table. Solution? Would you like another drink from us at another table? Uhhh no... She comes with the bill.... 2 minutes later she comes with a new bill, we didn't have to pay for the bread.... Very neat and nice!! Next time, better consider in advance that people (on Valentine's Day) want a little more privacy and cannot literally unintentionally follow the conversations of both neighbors...the food was fine, by the way. (We were outside within an hour)

Had dinner here on Valentine's Day. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and it was full of couples in love, you couldn't wish for a better atmosphere. The service is friendly and fast. So fast that we felt like maybe we should hurry up a bit. We had only half finished the starter when the main course was already served. They were probably shocked by this too, because after dinner we were able to look at the empty plates for another half hour. The food was tasty, the snitzel as big as a doormat but the salmon was narrow and flat. Dessert was also fine. All in all fine, but not very special. Maybe come back once more, but then you will have seen the location and menu again...

The staff is friendly and attentive, they are happy to take your coat upon arrival. The inside of the location exudes luxury and elegance. The service is fast and efficient, and the value for money is excellent.

From the outside it looks like a cheap satellite tent, but inside the ambiance is beautiful. Nicely decorated. There is a lot of waiting staff. Service is friendly and hospitable. Not reserved but welcome. We were pointed out to 2 dishes outside the menu. A nice fresh loaf of bread in advance. We chose to go for a menu outside the menu. Turbot fillet. Also ordered a side dish. Delicious food and more than enough. We were shocked by the bill. Without a starter and without dessert, we spent almost a hundred euros for the two of us. We thought it was a bit much. Actually, it would have been helpful for the service to mention the price of the dishes outside the menu, then we would certainly have made a different choice. Or maybe we should have asked that ourselves? The staff asking if you would like something to drink should be less. Tasty food but with an aftertaste.

We were fifteen minutes early for our reservation that we had placed online, our mistake. But after standing for half an hour among the tables of guests, we were assigned a table. We were offered something to drink while waiting. Service tried very hard, I think the hostess was the only one who took orders and tried to arrange everything. It was very busy, everyone worked hard. But did not lead to the best service. Food was served fairly quickly, the cod with rendang had no taste and hardly any garnish, read; a piece of cod with a spoonful of rendang, 1 cherry tomato and 1 sprig of cress. The vegetarian chickpea curry was also bland and lacking in substance. Fries were served with it. Service was constantly friendly and tried to be attentive, but it didn't feel pleasant. If the food had been good it would have made a big difference. But unfortunately this was not the case.

Food is quite good, quality not consistent. Ate it four weeks before and it was very good. Maybe another cook or kitchen assistant. The fries were undercooked.

Eten bij De Dungense Brug is al jaren een begrip in de omstreken. Het staat garant voor een mooie gedekte tafel met een ouderwets aardige vlotte bediening met een Brabantse knipoog. Erg verrassend is de kaart al jaren niet, evenals de ambiance maar verzekerd van gewoon goed en ruim voldoende op je bord ben je altijd.

Prima kaart, goede kwaliteit en niet te duur. Vriendelijke bediening. Parkeren voor de deur.

Lekker eten en sfeervol ingericht. Echter staan de prijzen niet in verhouding tot de kwaliteit. Het is goed en lekker maar niet voor die prijzen.

Tja laat ik beginnen met een disclaimer. Ik ben horeca ondernemer en kok. Ff snel hier wat gaan eten tijdens mijn reis. "HAMBURGER PIET VAN DEN BERG ‘MRIJ’ 19,50 180 gram | brioche brood | cheddar | augurk | tomaat | sla | Pitmaster BBQ saus" hier bij stukje kritische feedback. Er werd niet gevraagd naar de cuisson van mijn burger patty, dus das al een min punt. brioche brood wat zacht boterig en fluffy omschrijft is als een tosti in een klapgril plat "getoast" dus er blijft nog maar weinig "brioche" van over. Had net zo goed sneetje wit kunnen zijn. (tip brioche toast het brood met boter/olie alleen aan de gesneden kant en laat het fluffy, niet plat drukken) De burger 180gr Mrij. Als je goed vlees gebruikt dan wil je die rare/medium serveren. Of op z'n minst de keuze bij de klant. Die van mij was doorgebakken. Desondanks wel sappig. (tip bied bij goed vlees een cuisson aan) De cheddar was geen cheddar maar gele nep smelt kaas. Tip ga niet voor cheddar maar voor gruyere/emmertaler of ga iig voor de echte cheddar uit cheddar. Als je 1 plakje tomaat op een burger van €20 doet, doe dan op zijn minst het middelste deel en gooi het kapje in de soep. Pit Master bbq Saus. Ik heb geen saus gezien of geproefd. Ik heb zelfs nog gezocht. Geen saus op de bodem en geen bovenop. Tip. Een goede burger heeft bodem saus en plafond saus. En bij vertrek kreeg ik de retorische vraag was alles naar wens en heeft het gesmaakt. Waarop ik antwoordde "nou het ging wel" En er werd verder niet op in gegaan of door gevraagd of interesse getoond naar eerlijke feedback.

Prima kwaliteit, goede bediening en een aantrekkelijke sfeer.

Jammerdat tijdens we nog aan het eten waren, alle tafels al voor de volgende dag werden gedekt. Ook vond ik het kunstwerk met beroemde personen erg vreemd, omdat Stalin er ook tussen zat?? Eten was verder prima.

Enkel een snelle lunch op de terugweg, leuke locatie veel gezelligheid. De hond mocht niet.naar binnen maar het weer was goed genoeg om buiten te zitten.

Voor lunch naar de Dungense Brug geweest. Mooi restaurant! Leuk aangekleed en warme uitstraling. We konden voor lunch alles van de kaart bestellen. Heerlijke steak tartaar en een visplateau besteld. Was heerlijk! Mooie borden en heerlijke porties.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten met een topbediening. Het geheel ademt een gemoedelijke sfeer uit

Op de bonnefooi binnen gestapt op zaterdagavond, met wat schuiven en meten,toch een tafeltje. Vriendelijk personeel, leuke sfeer en het eten is echt goed. Ben je een keer in den dungen, ga een keer eten. Echt een aanrader.
