A super cozy spot for a cup of coffee, lunch, or dinner. Excellent food.

I found this place cozy and charming once you go inside, very nice and old things to look at. Nice view towards the water as well. The food was good, only little 🥺 for the price but pretty much the same in NL standards. The waitress was also really nice and attentive.

Too late...the cheesecake/bavarois cake was delicious! Friendly service...told us about the building (weigh house)

We had delicious fish. It's just a lovely restaurant.

This afternoon we had lunch with two top people under the canopy with a stove. We had a wonderful meal.

It's in a really nice spot in an old building. The food was delicious. The only downside is that the stairs to the bathroom are a bit scary.

I had coffee and a cookie, and a pastry with whipped cream, but didn't have lunch. The cream quickly dissolved, and the cookie wasn't tasty. The price is competitive for the region, but certainly not on par with the European market. Coffee is still cheaper in France and Italy. Hence, no 4 stars for the food.

We had to wait a very long time for the natchos while the terrace was not even full, it seemed like we were forgotten and the natchos were not at all covered in cheese as you would expect in a restaurant

Great atmosphere and prices. A pearl in Holland. Some restaurants can learn from it. The service is sublime!

Delicious homemade apple pie and good coffee.

Beautiful location to see, but the food leaves much to be desired. It tasted like food made from packets and bags. The tomato soup was reasonably ok, but there should be no raw leek strips and slices/pieces of smoked chicken fillet. And both my main course and that of my husband were not tasty enough to go home with a satisfied, happy feeling.

The table and drinks menu were dirty and sticky and were not taken away. The coffee with cold apple pie was not served properly. I think the waiter's iron was broken.

Nice place and good service. Food was tasty and a detail. With coffee a real cookie (pastry, not speculoos in plastic).

Small but nice, 20 seats inside, so reservations are a must if you want to eat there.

Nice place, a restaurant in a former weighing house. There is a raised terrace in front of it, which is nice when it is a bit warmer. Inside it is small but cozy. The staff is friendly. For lunch I had the mackerel salad and it tasted good. You have to go up a steep staircase to reach the toilet.

Haven't had such disappointing food in a long time. Baguette was stale, jar of herb butter insufficiently small. Cooked vegetables were inedible, as was the sauce on which the salmon was covered. Salmon was raw on the inside, so we received a discount of two drinks on the bill. Carpaccio was a success. But, never again De Waag for me. No, nooooo.

Small restaurant in Schoonhoven. Been here for the 2nd time. This just for lunch. Could stay for hours due to reservations. Now a sandwich with 3 eggs on a bun. Very easy to do, allergies were neatly noted. Food was fine, with some lettuce added for some color. Service was good. And we were gone again just in time

We had a beer with bitterballen here after visiting Schoonhoven. Because of the winter we sat inside, there is not much room there. Service was fine.

Klein maar erg charmant, en het eten is heerlijk.

Ach het gebeurt wel eens dat er veel mis gaat. Met zijn tweeën cappucino en een thee. Komt er 2 cappucino. Later in het gebak een stuk karton. De serveerster was druk met denk ik een collega aan de bar die vrij was. In de potentie een hele leuke winkel.

Altijd lekker, prachtig oud gebouw, personeel top.

Service zoals het hoort en wat je niet veel meer ziet. Gastdame wist precies wie wat besteld had (waar zie je dat nog?). Heerlijk buiten kunnen eten met heaters. Eten was echt heerlijk. Aanrader!

Lovely situated Cafe in an interesting and historic building

Waren dort zum Abendessen als wir nach einer langen Anreise hungrig waren und essen wollten. Der Service war makellos und freundlich. Das Essen an sich war auch super lecker und gut abgestimmt aber hungrig sollte man dort am besten nicht hingehen. Wir sind leider, trotz Vorspeise, nicht satt geworden und haben dennoch verhältnismäßig viel Geld bezahlt.

We absolutely loved this place not easy to park close if you have disabilities but worth the effort. Beware the facilities are up some very steep narrow awkward stairs if you have any mobility issues 🤗🤔

De cappuccino die we 's ochtends kregen was prima. Daarom besloten we ook hier te gaan lunchen. Dat viel ons erg tegen. In de garnalenkroketjes die mijn man koos zaten vrijwel geen garnalen. Ik koos de zalmsalade met kruidenkaas. Ik vond dat echt een aanfluiting. De 'salade' bestond uit een handje sla met daarop een paar plakken zalm, 1 plakje tomaat, 1 plakje komkommer en een klein beetje gesnipperde ui. De kruidenkaas was een sausje. De bediening was echt heel erg vriendelijk, maar het eten was matig en niet goedkoop.

Het eten (lunch) was heerlijk. Helemaal goed, terras achter glas, ook fijn. Service/bediening was correct, maar daar is wel alles mee gezegd. Niet echt emphatisch. En de wc is boven, lastige trap

Lekkere eenvoudige lunch, goede prijs. Leuke en heel bijzondere lokatie. Toiletbezoek is een belevenis. We hadden ook nog eens prachtig weer.

Gezellig terras. Heerlijk eten geserveerd door top medewerkers.

We hebben vandaag daar geluncht. En het was geweldig het eten daarna nog een ijskoffie op.

Op aanraden hier een broodje carpaccio gegeten. Lekkere mooie carpaccio en lekker brood. Echter was de ontvangst erg onpersoonlijk en ondanks we stonden te wachten op aanwijzingen van het personeel waar te zitten, bleven ze je glazig aankijken. Ook in de bediening is het personeel functioneel in contact en nauwelijks vriendelijk te noemen. Toilet gelegenheid erg beperkt, maar dat zal komen door de indeling van het pand. Al met al zeker de moeite een lekker broodje carpaccio te lunchen.

Heerlijk gegeten op een gezellig terras. De bediening is erg vriendelijk en snel. Aan alles wordt gedacht, zoals een terras wat begaanbaar is voor mindervalide. Zeker een aanrader om eens naartoe te gaan voor een hapje en een drankje!

Gezellig, lekker eten. Heerlijk lokaal bier, Argentum.

Kom hier vaker tijdens fietstochtje voor een drankje of lichte lunch. Geen spectaculaire gerechten, maar goed te eten. Vlotte vriendelijke bediening. Leuk terras met uitzicht over de Haven.

Heerlijk gegeten . Goede prijs! Enige wat ik jammer vond is dat ze geen kinderstoel hadden waardoor ik de hele tijd achter onze zoon aan moest.
