Great, cozy location with good food.

We come here regularly with the family, mostly for lunch in recent years. It's a cozy, beautiful location, delicious food, and friendly service.

A warm welcome at the door, attentive and friendly service from three different staff members, a beautiful view, and above all, delicious food from a very varied menu. As vegetarians, we were especially spoiled for choice. Our compliments. We will definitely be back! Mervyn

We ate here yesterday with friends and stayed a while longer, as it was DJ night on Friday! Friendly service and delicious food. We had a surprise menu with various small dishes. Everything was delicious, and it was fun to try and share all the dishes. It's also a little different, definitely not clichéd, with diverse flavors from different cuisines! A truly successful evening! We remarked to each other on the combination of good food and the feeling of a night out.

Delicious dinner at Rivero in Schoonhoven on the river What a beautiful spot! Restaurant Rivero is beautifully situated on the water, right by the ferry, where you can watch the boats sail by while dining—a truly atmospheric setting. We enjoyed a limited edition dish with tender venison, perfectly prepared and full of flavor. A true culinary surprise! The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. The only point for improvement were the fries—they unfortunately resembled leftovers. Perhaps a little training with Bram Ladage at the Foodhal Rotterdam would do wonders 😉. Other than that, nothing but praise: the location, the food, and the atmosphere make Rivero a very successful culinary experience, and we would definitely love to return!

The restaurant has a good atmosphere. It's nicely decorated and has a lovely waterfront setting. The food was good. Good portions (shared dining), but the service was very slow, and we had to ask for drinks ourselves. A real shame. Irish coffee and Spanish coffee come with sweetened whipped cream. It's also a shame for the price.

We had a delicious meal (as always) with our three guests. We opted for the shared dining option. The service was very friendly and attentive. We had a little one with us, a six-year-old, but she received plenty of attention as well. We'd love to come back.

We spent a weekend "reminiscing about our childhood in Schoonhoven." We had a fantastic meal here, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place! And the service was fantastic and attentive. The young lady who helped us today (and the chefs in the kitchen as well) was (were) very helpful in accommodating my allergies. Even though all the cushions had been brought inside due to a few showers, they spontaneously brought us some when we wanted to sit outside. In short, a lovely restaurant! (One suggestion: the small amount of orange juice in the large wine glass was really small for €4.50🌻)

Great place, we really like the atmosphere there!

A spineless company in terms of staff: very inflexible, far too young, and perhaps girls under the age of decision-making who are part of the permanent team, with absolutely no adult supervision. A chicken coop with a good chef run by minors. My advice is to go there, but don't expect much helpfulness or customer service. So, Restaurant 'Toedeledokie'. Bye!

The location is great! The service leaves a lot to be desired. Putting a smile on your face shouldn't be too hard. Beer mats are thrown on the table. Two dishes were already placed on the table, and the other two dishes for the other people at the table didn't follow for about eight minutes.

Dogs are welcome. The brigade makes up for a lot. The kitchen's speed is disappointing. Due to the very limited selection of regular dishes, we were assigned to the shared dining concept. We were warned that the dish would be served when it was ready. We waited almost an hour for the first round, and the fries were served separately first. Then we received three dishes that had already cooled down a bit. The next round had to wait another 45 minutes. The dishes were also incomplete. We reported this to the staff. They politely thanked us, but there was no response indicating that they were upset that the kitchen had made several mistakes. They rely heavily on reputation and location. I won't be eating there again anytime soon.

We had a lovely lunch on the terrace. Both the salmon sandwich and the scrambled eggs with salmon are highly recommended. It's a bit pricey, though. One tip: it's better if all drinks are listed on the menu, including juices. You have to ask for those now.

The food was delicious! And I was very happy with the gluten-free menu. The service was very friendly. It was a bit of a shame that when the terrace got busier with young people, the waitress who was helping us suddenly became busy, and we had to wait a long time before we could ask someone for the bill. It also took a very long time to get it. Otherwise, a great restaurant.

Despite the bad weather, we enjoyed the delicious food, the wide selection, the friendly service, and the beautiful view. We live in Zeeland and dined at Rivero with friends from Stolwijk. We'll definitely be back!

The location is beautiful, wonderfully close to the water and with a large terrace. The food quality was very poor.

It's busy here. That's great for the restaurant. But let's not forget that guests come for the service, hospitality, and food, and pay for it. And that's no longer the case. That's how you lose guests. Downsides. Everything is served almost simultaneously (we know it's sharing dining). Not everything is of the same quality. If you tell them there are people celebrating their anniversary, married for a very long time, nothing extra is done. It's a shame. This restaurant only wants to make money. You have to think twice. Do I want to spend my money on this? There's no manager. Four different hostesses and hosts at your table.

The location is nice. It's right on the Lek River, so there's plenty to see. The waitresses are friendly and try their best. The food was a disappointment. I had fish and chips for €19, which is three pieces of fish and fries. The container it was served in wasn't properly dried, so the bottom fries were all wet and cold. There was a piece of paper between the food and the wet container. At first, I thought it was grease, but you can definitely feel the difference. My husband had a 12-hour snack, which was also disappointing in terms of price and quality. When paying, I mentioned that the container hadn't been properly dried, which meant my fries were wet and soggy. The waitress apologized, but that was all. She suggested she could perhaps pass it on to the kitchen, as this is a real shame. We didn't ask for compensation, but as a staff member, I'd say: "I'm going to discuss this because it's not acceptable, and I'll get back to you." Nothing. So, for us, this was a one-time experience, but no more.

Onze 1e kennismaking was niet heel goed. We hebben zeker 5x moeten vragen om de kaart te krijgen. Al met al heeft het een kwartier geduurd voordat die er was. En zo druk was het nog niet toen wij kwamen. Een uurtje later zat de tent wel vrij vol. Steeds de melding dat de kaart eraan komt of "we informeren een collega". Pas na ons laatste verzoek op een iets minder vriendelijke toon (wat je niet wilt) kwam er iemand. Het jonge personeel dat er voldoende rondliep kwam niet klantvriendelijke en als georganisserd team op ons over. Ik denk dat iedereen 1 taak heeft en alleen dat doet? Hoe moeilijk kan het zijn om je gasten in ieder geval een kaart te brengen als ze gaan zitten? De oudere dame die uiteindelijk de kaart kwam brengen en die de bestelling kwam opnemen deed alles wel perfect en was vriendelijk wat je ook mag verwachten. Een plus is dat je de dinerbon kunt gebruiken en natuurlijk het mooie terras. Het eten was prima (7-), stevig aan de prijs. Al met al een ruime voldoende maar het kan echt wel beter. We zijn nu toch niet helemaal tevreden vertrokken en dat is jammer.

The food was good, and so was the service. However, the food at "Riveros Tasting" was quite extensive. It was cozy outside on the terrace with a view of the river. It was a bit noisy, but that was probably due to the setup for the Silver Festival in Schoonhoven. It was also convenient that we could take the ferry (right next door) after dinner, so we could get home without a long detour.

We visited Rivero via Happen en Trappen. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. A very nice appetizer. It exceeded our expectations.

Both the portions and the quality and the service are really great. The staff really has it under control and thinks along with children who may eat with you. The food is great!

We were welcomed in a friendly and hospitable manner in Rivero. It was our 2nd stop on our Happen en trappen tour. A table was prepared for us. I was also able to charge my phone. The food was tasty.

All the snacks were delicious and it all looked fantastic! The staff was also really friendly. Something you don't experience everywhere these days... Especially since the 'new' sharing concept with the smaller dishes, absolutely great. Lots of veggie options too ♥ A small addition (especially vegetarians take note): yesterday we were asked to suggest 'sandwiches with spreads and iberico' as a starter. Half of our group wanted it, the other half didn't really need anything in advance - but unfortunately that wasn't an option. In the end, 2 halved tosti sandwiches with iberico were served and no spreads to be seen, for €20. Bad luck for one half of the group. So from now on, better indicate that there are vegetarians present and don't let them bring you starters?

We had a high tea on the terrace with plenty of sunshine so we enjoyed it very much. A rich display of savory and sweet with tea and coffee with some chocolate candy at the end. Only missing a sandwich, but it was largely compensated.

The butcher's cut taken. Diamond tenderloin. The price was as if it were a diamond, unfortunately the size too. "How did you like the meat?" .. well, by chance .... said something about it immediately, because it was really downright ridiculous. It was responded to correctly. Today I enjoyed a delicious lunch together with my (gluten-free and cow's milk-free) wife. It was perfect down to the last detail, for example the butter (cow's milk) was omitted from the gluten-free toast and the coffee for my wife came with a gluten-free cookie. Cheers to Rivero!

Great restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal. We went for dinner on Friday evening. There was a DJ, we really didn't like this at all. The volume of the music was turned up considerably, which made it difficult to communicate with your table companion. We felt that this negatively affected the entire ambiance.

Nice restaurant and beautifully situated on the water right next to the ferry. Very lively but not disturbing. We went for High Tea with 4 people. Truly an experience, and different from, and certainly more fun, the average High Tea! The 2nd course consisted of a number of fish dishes, which we had not counted on, because 1 of the 4 is not a fish lover. We had not communicated this when booking. But it was resolved quickly without any problems and at no extra cost! Absolutely great! We tasted super fun and tasty dishes beautifully presented on beautiful tableware. The staff was very attentive, correct and friendly. The food was served with a smile (where else do you find that?) The price/quality was appropriate. In short, we are super excited and will definitely come back!
