Note: this isn't a Turkish restaurant or eatery. It's just a residential building, a regular terraced house, and has absolutely nothing to do with buying or taking out food. See Google Maps. There are no Turkish people living there either. What terrible information! This eatery could never have been located here. So, my advice: don't go here if you're hungry. The door is opened by a tattooed, muscular construction worker with a huge, aggressive dog that barks incessantly. He showed no understanding and wouldn't even speak politely or listen to anyone's reason for being there. A terrible experience on an empty stomach. Yuck.

Incredibly hardworking and friendly staff. We rarely visit a snack bar. But we gladly make an exception for Het Bijtje. Lots of choice, including vegetarian options. So when we are in Deventer, it is a must. A wonderful chip shop just like in the old days. Not such an impersonal chain. We love these ladies! I really don't understand the negative comments.

Good and tasty fries. Generous portion, plenty of sauce. Unfortunately, no sauce with the wings. Toilet available. You have to get your own napkins. Power outlets available to charge e-bike batteries if needed. You can pour your own slush puppy. I find cutting my XXXL frikandel with a small wooden knife-fork annoying. Anyway... Wooden forks in my mouth... Ugh.. 😩
