Delicious fries and veal croquettes...prepared quickly and with friendly staff

The schnitzel with mushrooms was a mini container of "sauce" with three thin slices of mushrooms. A vegetarian burger costs €1.25 more than the meat. Not unreasonably expensive, but the quality is comparable to the cheapest budget burger in the supermarket. The fries were so hard I couldn't tell if they were potatoes or something else. I don't understand the positive reviews. Definitely not recommended, unfortunately.

Definitely not recommended; the service was completely overwhelmed. They weren't even able to set the table for two glasses of radler. 😂. There was no table service; we were completely ignored. Paying at the table was also possible. But at least the prices were quite high, considering the service was already bad... no thanks.

We celebrated our wedding party here in the hall of 't Hek. Perfect location. They have 2 halls. We had the small one. What a fantastic evening we had. Atmospheric, cozy and well taken care of. Really recommended.

Nice location to sit on the terrace. It is very affordable, but that is mainly because it is "just standard" and the focus is on food. Don't expect fancy sandwiches, exclusive layout or anything like that here. Quality and quantity are excellent. I noticed that there were very young staff around.

New tenants, new WAY TOO HIGH prices!!! Feel free to drive/cycle to Barneveld, at Snackbar de Schaffelaar the prices are still normal. Even Charly's in Barneveld is cheaper than here. Stop Assel in Assel (near Kootwijk) same prices, but with more atmosphere and experience.

Tonight we at Eethuis 't Hek used all you can fries. We had a very tasty meal, lots of variety, good quality, excellent service and friendliness!

Ordered chicken satay menu! Chicken and fries delicious. Only the salad was nothing, a scoop of beef salad and a few cabbage strips with dressing. Would rather add lettuce.

We had lunch at this truly beautiful place. The cappuccino was mediocre, the tuna salad sandwich downright terrible. Soggy salad (obviously from a large bucket), a soggy white ball and a few leaves of lettuce/red onion. No, not there again.

Looking at the map online already appealed to us. The location is beautiful. Service is great! Friendly and accessible. So the expectations for the food were high! But that has even been surpassed! Great tent! Good price and delicious food. Tip: take the pork tenderloin satay, it's great.

Nice point. Lots of nice traffic around you. Food was good. Paying was a bit difficult due to the crowds. (1 ATM) Also limited toilets.

Waren in de buurt op vakantie. Een fietstocht gemaakt. Eerst wat gedronken. Het was inmiddels ook dinertijd. Een heerlijke boerenschnitsel rijk belegd met ui, champignons en spekjes. Frites en schaaltje opgemaakte salade. Heerlijk gegeten voor € 17 95 pp Vriendelijk jong personeel.

Today on July 2, an unpleasant experience at checkout. Ordered monthly menu. This is indicated on the website and was advised. The amount when paying at the cash register was incorrect. Instead of the amount for the monthly menu, the lady had simply added up the 'separate parts' of the menu, which made the amount higher. Despite my explanation about the recommended monthly menu on their own website, the lady stubbornly and very customer-unfriendly insisted that the July monthly menu only starts next week. And it's already July 2. She then sends a grandfather and grandmother out with enthusiastic grandchildren because the lady thought it was getting too busy. “I don't have enough staff,” she shouted in panic. Grandpa and grandma, and especially the grandchildren, deeply disappointed. If the owner had asked for some patience, everything would have gone well, because less than five minutes later three tables became empty. Disappointing experience. #Not suitable.

We hadden een fotosessie in de buurt en naar huis gaan zou te lang duren om ergens iets te eten, dus wij zijn hierheen gekomen. Het was gezellig druk op het terras, wat we aan eten voorbij zagen komen, stond ons wel aan. Leuk jong personeel, enthousast om ook dingen van de menukaart aan te prijzen. We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Mochten we ooit weer in de buurt komen, dan weten we dat we hier weer gaan eten.

After the clog path walk we had lunch here. The location overlooking the forest is very beautiful. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. My niece had a ham sandwich, which was very greasy and the farmer's fries were good. I ordered a 12 o'clock, the cup of tomato soup was very watery and had little taste. The soup balls were not tasty and seemed to come from a can. The bouncer was very greasy. Also a pity that they don't have decaf coffee.

Was a busy junction here for various tour rides. The Zündapp Veterans Club came by, the trucker day. These were both well represented with their mopeds and motorcycles and many different trucks. There were also two cycling tours. A beautiful day to have a drink on the terrace to see everything 🥳

Lekkere uitsmijter met spek en kaas gegeten. Vriendelijke bediening. Voor wat betreft de uitsmijters zeker een aanrader. Verder een ruime keuze. Mogelijkheid om de accu van de fiets op te laden.

Buitengewoon goed eten. Kijk eens naar de boerenschnitzel vol met spekkies en uien met salade erbij. Voortreffelijk! Of zo'n grote ijscoupe met advocaat. O ja, de ijskoffie is ook zo heerlijk, een aanradertje!

Top cafetaria! Voor de 7 verrassingssnacks zijn een dikke aanrader.

What you see is what you get. Een broodje ei is wat je besteld en ook wat je krijgt. Geen tierelantijnen en geen opschmuk. Locatie is wel mooi met uitzicht op het Uilenbos.

Lekkere krokante frietjes maken ze hier. Tijdens een motor tochtje hier pauze gehouden maar dat ga vaker hier doen. Echt lekker hoor

Leuk familie eethuisje in een mooi bosrijk gebied. Lekker een maandmenu genomen met kipsaté die prima te eten was. Lekker een beetje salade, patatten en kroepoekjes erbij. Prima voor na een mooie wandeling met mijn kleine hondje. Hondjes zijn ook welkom hier een bakje water en een lekker hondenkoekje. Wat ik van de saté en de patat geweldig vind is dat de satésaus en mayonaise netjes in bakjes zit en niet over je eten heen gekwakt. De bediening is ook uitermate vriendelijk en wekt zeer effectief. Toch een min puntje ik mis altijd een muziekje in zo'n winkel nnu hoor is achter me door andere klanten precies wat die op hun werk nog moeten doen. Verder leuk ingericht en de corona maatregelen zijn hier nog van kracht maar doordoor is er wel een mooie en snelle manier van bestellen en afhandelen ontstaan. Kortom een aanrader!

Na een barre fietstocht door de regen richting het middelpunt van Nederland belandde ik met mijn vrienden bij ‘T hekje. Er was letterlijk NIKS mis met dit restaurant. Goeie uitsmijter, aardige bediening, koud biertje, lekker snel. Als ik 6 sterren had kunnen geven had ik het gedaan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dank van 7 dames uit Eindhoven, die spontaan geholpen zijn door de 2 dames van eetcafé het Hek, zij waren zo aardig om ons met 2 auto’s naar het Treinstation in Lunteren te brengen, toen bleek dat de bussen niet reden en we geen taxi konden bestellen…. DANK, DANK !!!!! V.I.P.S uit Eindhoven

SUPER, een terras om van te genieten. Personeel die lekker gewoon en klantvriendelijk zijn, niets is hun teveel. Het eten is werkelijk goddelijk klaargemaakt en dat voor een heerlijke prijs. Van Alkmaar af is het uiteraard voor ons te ver om bij 't Hek meer te lunchen, maar eenmaal weer in de buurt, ja dan gaan we zeker langs om iets van de kaart te bestellen.

Twee fijne zaken. Rustig op een mooie locatie. Ontzettend gastvrij, heel goede lunch en gratis parkeren.

Gewoon lekker no nonsens eten. Buiten in de zomer de zalige rust tussen bos en weide. Overdag veel fietsers .Wij wonen in de buurt dus makkelijk als ik niet wil koken.
