Reserved via the website. I specifically requested a table in the conservatory due to the children. When we arrived, we were seated literally 40 cm from the toilet doors. The response was that the conservatory is never possible when reserving via the website. Huh, why not? This wasn't mentioned, and I was also asked to mention any comments or wishes via the website. If the conservatory wasn't possible, could that have been indicated? Eventually, we left. No one offered us another option. We don't think eating 40 cm next to a toilet is worth 100 euros. This is a bit disappointing. We were looking forward to it.

Super tasty food and friendly staff

Heading back home we decided to take the N344 and see if we could find something to eat. We stopped at "De Heuveltjes" and were not disappointed. Spareribs were good and service was fast.

With the tomato and onion dish, our pancakes were undercooked. We didn't finish our pancakes, which is a real shame! The atmosphere and service, however, are good. We went home disappointed.

In the middle of nature, delicious food. And very friendly service. Definitely worth repeating. The meatball sandwich is amazing!!

Cozy restaurant. Good atmosphere. Besides the pancakes, you can also order à la carte. The spareribs were delicious. The apple compote was refreshingly tasty. Nice beers on tap. In short, we enjoyed ourselves and immediately reserved a table for Saturday.

I have never eaten such delicious pancakes; well-topped and with a nice crispy crust that gave the pancake a special taste sensation. Excellent!

Visited for the first time today; what a cozy atmosphere in and around the restaurant. Nice playground too, although some repairs are needed! Otherwise very satisfied with everything, definitely worth a repeat visit.

Upon entering, we were told that we just had to find a spot ourselves that didn't have a reserved sign on it. Clearly, no seating arrangements were being followed. Two people were occupying a large 10-person table. After walking around the restaurant with our family, we asked if those seats at the large table were free. We were told that we would just have to sort that out with those people ourselves. So, we just left.

Nice place to eat and play. Lots of spots around the restaurant. You do have to look for them yourself, though.

We had the set menu and were very satisfied. The soups were delicious, the pancakes a bit greasy for our German tastes. The cinnamon ice cream was incredibly tasty. All drinks are served in 200ml glasses. Something not listed on the menu, but highly recommended, was a whole pitcher of water for only €2.50!

Delicious food and friendly staff. It is a special place to eat for young and old. You will have to experience this for yourself.

Somewhat old-fashioned place, we sat on the front terrace, the children didn't really like the pancakes. The fried egg and the croquettes were tasty though.

We were pressed together as a group. The schnitzels came out of the deep-frying oil, were tough, and the final ones were burnt.

No reservation, the front was full but the back was opened immediately for us with 4 families arriving at the same time 👍🏽, service is good, pancakes are generously topped and the children received a gift. Large play area, children can't run away because it's enclosed, super chill. Guys at the bar, big smiles and friendly 👍🏽❤️ this gets my 5 ⭐️ and 10 tip🙏🏽

It was a really nice spot to sit with the kids, and the staff were friendly and good-humored despite the crowds. Unfortunately, the pancakes were thick and chewy, and one was even quite burnt. We ate them because they looked edible enough and I didn't feel like complaining. The taste itself was fine. When they asked how we liked everything while clearing the table, I mentioned the burnt pancake and received a polite apology.

We have been staying at Ackersate for a number of years now and hurray, we have driven past it often. We have eaten there 3 times now, but what a nice and cozy little place, with friendly and efficient staff. We will definitely be back again.

A really nice, cozy place in Voorthuizen! We happened to drive past and stopped on the way back for a lovely lunch. The staff is super friendly and the lunch was amazing! I had a carpaccio salad and my husband had a sandwich (meatball sandwich). The price-quality ratio was top-notch! We were both really full!

Really great place! We were there on a Wednesday from opening time at 10:00. We were able to sit on the lounge sofas at the edge of the playground. Had a lovely time catching up with a friend while the children played in the fenced-in playground.

We have been coming here for quite a few years. The food is good, delicious fried eggs and of course the pancakes too.

Atmospheric, good, fast and friendly service, affordable. We had pork tenderloin and schnitzel, beautifully presented on the plate, with a small fryer, good fries (not dry), homemade apple compote, mayo, and salad. It was really fine. Great service despite the busyness, always asking if everything was to our liking, quick clearing, and the bill was very reasonable. €57 for 2 people with a half-liter beer, a Fanta, and ice cream for dessert.

We had a delicious meal at this eatery tonight; the service was friendly and efficient. We had a Gypsy chnitzel and a pork tenderloin skewer with mushroom sauce. Both dishes were perfect. Plenty of fries with what was probably homemade apple compote. That tasted very good too. Everything was served at the perfect temperature, and there was no fat or hard pieces in the meat. We didn't have room for an elaborate dessert but had a soft serve ice cream afterwards. Nice atmosphere, and the price-quality ratio was also great.

Everything is very nice, tasty, and cute, but that busy road is impossible. Constant noise from motorized traffic.

Absolutely loved coming here. The food was great, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing.

The atmosphere was pleasant, though they could certainly ask a bit more often if we wanted another drink. The food took a while but was excellent.

I never write reviews, but I just wanted to say something this time! An incredibly atmospheric and nicely decorated place. Cozy, but not overcrowded or too noisy. The pancake (I had the 'Klompen Pancake') was incredibly delicious, the best pancake I've had in ages! And above all, the service is top-notch. Kudos! Despite it being busy, the service was super fast. We were warned that orders could take a while, and even then, they were there within 15/20 minutes. Much faster than in the average other restaurant. And you could tell by the staff that they were busy, but they were still all very friendly and very quick.

The food was okay. The pancake could have used more seasoning, but that's a matter of taste. The schnitzel portion was too small; my son wasn't full. The service was absolutely terrible! No "hello," no "please," no "thank you," no apology when we had to get our own cutlery. We won't be coming back!

Super cozy little eatery in the woods (with a fireplace). Nice enclosed playground with sand, a crawl tunnel, wooden playhouses, slides, and a rocking horse. Many songbirds can be spotted; some nests are right next to the window. The menu is simple but good. Friendly staff who bring the dishes quickly and are attentive at the tables. Definitely worth a visit! Parking is available on the road or directly behind the restaurant.

We came to this place accidentally because the ambience was so cute. Yarick was helping us choose the menu. He was soo welcoming and made adjustments to the dish based on my dietary restrictions. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you’re coming with kids

We have been coming here for over 20 years, and here you will find the tastiest pancakes in the Netherlands, incomparable to other pancake houses or farms in the Netherlands.

Had some delicious pancakes at De Heuveltjes in Voorthuizen! The pancake was a bit thick, but tasted great. There was also a burnt one, but a new one was made without any problems, which was also tasty. Super friendly service on King's Day and the ice cream was delicious. The atmosphere was decent, although the interior could perhaps use a small refresh.

Nice eatery. Good service, friendly staff. On this first visit, we chose the pancake menu. Very reasonably priced. Tasty soup as a starter. The pancake itself was good, just a bit on the thick side. Discussed it with the staff. For dessert, a 'small' ice cream. It turned out to be a hefty sundae with whipped cream 😋 At the 'neighbors', we saw other tasty things being served. For next time! That next time has come. Nice place to eat; especially at the back, there is no noise from the traffic. There is a nice terrace there with a view of the playground. Small groups haven't been considered. As it was, I occupied a bench meant for eight all by myself... Ordered a coffee and a meatball sandwich. The food was fine. The meatball is large and is served with two thick slices of bread and a generous portion of mustard. I am less impressed with the drinks. The latte macchiato was... indeed, wrong. I assume this is largely due to the coffee supplier. First of all, it was served in a cup. Dear folks, Koffie verkeerd is served in a large glass. There is a reason for that. 1/3 espresso and 2/3 milk simply does not fit in a cup. The ratio, even on the second attempt, was fittingly completely wrong. Far too strong, and I almost needed a glass of water with it. My advice: stop using this supplier or stop serving Koffie verkeerd. And to end on a positive note: friendly staff 🙏

The food, in our case pancakes and cake the following day, was excellent. The service was friendly and reasonably quick. The ambiance is very nice, although I found it a bit uncomfortable having coffee outside. But otherwise, simply top-notch.

Very cozy eatery with a nice terrace. We actually just stopped here for afternoon tea, but the pancakes were so filling that we weren't hungry for the rest of the evening. They were also just really tasty. Although the place is located on a fairly busy road, it is still pleasant to sit on the terrace. Ideal for a quick bite to eat or a drink. The takeaway ice creams looked very tasty too, by the way. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

We returned here after a good first experience last year. We thoroughly enjoyed pancakes and drinks in the lovely sunshine. The garden is fenced, allowing the children to play freely while the parents or grandparents relax on the terrace or in the restaurant. Personally, I find the pancakes very thick; I can't finish mine, but tastes differ. Beautiful surroundings and very child-friendly. Definitely recommended for families with kids.

Had a delicious Black Angus burger here. The service was unprompted and definitely not attentive. Could be much better!

A lovely and cozy place to eat, and of course, delicious food and drinks. Highly recommended. Dogs are also welcome, and they can enjoy lovely walks in the woods.

It's a cute place, warm interior with the decor from it's origins. We enjoyed the food which was served quickly and the waiter ing staff are friendly.

We stumbled upon this place by chance, but were pleasantly surprised. A large enclosed playground for the kids. Extensive menu; we didn't try the pancakes. But they had delicious carpaccio, a large homemade meatball, a very tasty schnitzel (recommended), and the spare ribs were good. They have an extensive beer menu for Dad ;) and just a great atmosphere.

I've never had such a perfect pancake. Perfectly cooked, with a crispy edge. Plenty of toppings. Tip: order the set menu. The mustard soup was delicious. This restaurant is a real pleasant surprise.

We celebrated our wedding here two weeks ago. Everything was perfectly arranged. The day before, we were allowed to do some extra decorating ourselves, but it wasn't really necessary because of how atmospheric the place was. The friendly staff went above and beyond. The food was delicious, and we were completely taken care of. The restaurant was quite crowded, but we weren't bothered by it at all; we had a lovely spot where the kids could also use the playground. I would recommend it to everyone. Heuveltjes, thank you for a fantastic evening!
