We had reserved a table in the restaurant, but because we arrived early for drinks, we sat in the conservatory. A very cozy spot, with friendly and welcoming staff. A successful evening!

We went back here after quite a while. It was clear why we hadn't been here in a while. I had a schnitzel, but it was very tasteless. I pointed this out, but she thought I was joking because my plate was empty. But I'm not going to sit and watch my family eat and then eat alone later. Then I ordered something afterward. That wasn't great either. The ice cream had chunks of crystallized ice in it. My daughter ordered a children's ice cream, and she brought me a square waffle cup with one scoop of ice cream and some whipped cream for €4.25, which was absolutely ridiculous. The satay was okay, but nothing more.

We were very disappointed this year with less meat and a significant price increase. Plenty of fries, but the price isn't reflected in them.

We had an excellent meal at Het Karrewiel on September 4th. The steak was very tender and delicious, as was the chicken satay, and the fruit sorbet, which we both enjoyed, was also delicious.

The food is excellent. We've been here twice for dinner with two children. They have a wonderful time playing there. However, I found the service to be very poor. It took at least 20 minutes to get our menu. The second time we went, it was the same! The food arrived quite quickly both times, but many mistakes were made. The first time, we didn't get any cutlery. When you raise your hand, they say, "I'm coming," and then you have to wait a very long time. The second time we went, they forgot to serve the fries. We raised our hands, and they said, "I'm coming," but the young man never came to us. They forgot the plates the children were supposed to get, and they also forgot to serve the children's ice cream. Absolutely terrible service. They're short-staffed. I mentioned this to them, and they replied, "We didn't expect it to be this busy." How could they? You organize a "summer vibes evening" in the middle of the summer school holidays with a full campsite!!! Of course, all the tables are taken. Disgraceful. As a consolation, we got a free beer. If they had done that to everyone, there wouldn't have been much revenue, because I heard several people complain.

The service was terrible. You can't see them and they're very unprofessional. The staff has little experience. The food wasn't anything special. The vegetables were hidden under my schnitzel; the presentation could definitely be improved. We were glad to have paid and left.

Delicious food, schnitzel, and a dessert made from the menu upon request, which was no problem. It's always nice when there's more to choose from than the standard. Even our reservation request (a quiet corner) was accommodated. Definitely a place to return.

First, the positives: Beautiful terrace, friendly service, quick serving of drinks and dishes. Reasonable prices. The lunch menu offered sufficient variety. But... The loaded fries turned out to be missing the most important ingredient: the chicken. At first, I thought it was under the enormous pile of fries, but alas, nothing of the sort. Of course, I complained. The head waitress immediately noticed the chicken was missing. A major blunder by the kitchen. It's also a shame that the staff hadn't been properly instructed on how a dish should look, because then the problem would have been recognized much sooner. The chicken was served separately when the fries were already cold. Sending it back wasn't an option, because then my table companions would have had to wait a long time, and eating alone isn't fun either. Afterward, I shared my disappointment with the staff again. Unfortunately, the waitstaff didn't think to do anything about the disappointment, other than an apology. A missed opportunity to make up for a disappointment.

Nice restaurant in the park With delicious food

Cozy restaurant on holiday park Ackersate. Had a nice meal on the terrace with a group of 12. Of course we had one who was being smart, but the staff was pleasantly smart. Recommended!

Had dinner with 2 children with nut allergies. Everything was well organised and no worries. The only thing that was a shame was that the apple pie with the desserts was very big and super tasty. You can't stop even if you're full😁

We had reserved a table in advance at this restaurant. When we arrived at our reserved time, the staff was still eating, without paying attention to us. We did not immediately feel welcome. Finally the hostess appeared and we were allowed to sit at the table. After 5 minutes we were told that the ordering system was not working and that we probably had to leave, but 10 minutes later the problem was solved and we were allowed to order. The food came to the table quickly, the schitzel was soggy and bland, the fries were overcooked and the curry came from the microwave and was not fresh. we wanted to empty our plates and leave as quickly as possible. In short, if you are hungry and don't mind microwave food, you can eat here. but if you are looking for good and tasty food then I would go somewhere else.

I can't call the food bad, but it certainly isn't tasty either, a little more attention and time could have been spent reheating the food. Food was decent. Quite salty and little attention was paid to the layout of the plates. Starter goat cheese and tuna salad were ok. Prawn starter was good. Fish of the day sea bream was salty and overcooked. Mixed grill was really not good. Strange composition with a whole smoked sausage in it. Spare ribs were tough, steak too and the other piece of meat was tasteless. All in all not a great experience. The service was friendly.

It's a pity that you are not asked for a Barbecue or Restaurant when you make your reservation.

It was very nice, and delicious steak with pepper sauce, and red port with onion. The desserts were also delicious, and it was nice that our son was fed on a Frisbee, and we washed it with him, thank you!!

Terrace staff was very grumpy, we walked in several times to get their attention. Due to camping activities we ended up sitting in the forgotten corner (according to the staff), but we placed our order with the terrace staff. More than 1 hour after the starter had been cleared, we went inside and got a table here. Ladies here helped us very quickly with our main course, despite a thousand apologies. We received a 10% discount at checkout, but unfortunately there were more drinks than we had consumed. Unfortunately, the fries were a bit overcooked, but otherwise the food was very good

Unfortunately, the food was not a success at Het Karrewiel. Starter (thai beef) was fine, main course (pork tenderloin) was very dry and the dessert (apple pie) was unfortunately not tasty either.

Average, not special, disappointing portion of spaghetti for our 8 year old daughter, she is not a big eater but this portion was even too little for a toddler and that for a price of 9 euros. We then went to the Friture because she was still hungry.

Het was heerlijk, ik had een perfect gebakken zalm en mijn vrouw een boerenschnitzel, als toetje petit grande dessert.

Gezellig restaurant met goede service van de manager. Leuke interactie met klanten. Daarnaast is het eten goed tegen een erg schappelijke prijs.

Wij hadden helaas een minder positieve ervaring dan de meeste mensen. We gingen met twee jonge kinderen (3jr en 6mnd) en bestelden binnen 5 min het hoofdgerecht met de vermelding dat we wat minder tijd hadden vanwege de bedtijd. Na 40 minuten was het eten er nog niet, ze bleken te wachten tot we het brood op hadden (wat niet ging gebeuren). Best balen. Ons werd beloofd dat het er met 5 min was. 10 min later stond het op tafel. De kwaliteit van het eten (kipsaté en spareribs) vonden we ook niet goed, en daarmee de prijs/kwaliteit ook niet. Jammer dat we niet eens meer tijd hadden voor de (gratis) koffie. Er was een grote groep aanwezig in het restaurant, mogelijk dat dat invloed had en wij daardoor aan het kortste eind trokken.

Vriendelijke medewerkers, die enthousiast hun werk deden. Het eten was heerlijk en snel opgediend!

Had een biefstuk besteld medium maar was droog en doorbakken. Doorgegeven en kreeg een nieuwe nog niet lekker, was korrelig buitenkant, binnenin medium. Het was onze trouwdag en hebben niet samen kunnen eten. Mijn man had een hele kleine snitzel niet bijzonder. Als excuses kregen we een plankje met lekkernijen Dat was heerlijk maar de lol van onze trouwdag vieren was eraf. Jammer, het personeel was correct.

Wij hebben hier al eerder gegeten maar deze keer zijn wij en ik denk alle andere gasten er over uit dat de service ver te zoeken is. Tafel gereserveerd en het is mooi weer zowel binnen als buiten geen enkele tafel gezet maar je moet verplicht binnen eten terwijl het super mooi weer is de reden is dat ze buiten geen bediening hebben. Binnen is het heel koud airco staat hoog en mag niet lager of uit. Iedereen die daarna binnenkomt zeker nog 5 gezinnen/ gezelschappen stellen dezelfde vraag als wij. Ondertussen zitten er ook mensen buiten die daar borrelen. Kinderen kiezen een kindermenu en er worden letterlijk 2 dozen op tafel gezet, waar t eten los in zit bij verzoek om bord wordt je raar aangekeken. Bediening echt heel onvriendelijk, kortaf, snauwerig.

De spaghetti bolognese was wel heel erg vegetarisch

Met mijn gezin hier heerlijk gegeten. De proeverij is een echte aanrader, varkenshaas heerlijk en de crème brulee is iets heerlijke grote portie met ijs. De bediening is vriendelijk en een goede dosis humor. Wij hebben een gezellige avond gehad. Bedankt

Had de mixed-grill de biefstuk had medium moeten zijn maar was te gaar. De crème brullee lijkt uit een pakje te komen is volgens mij niet zelf gemaakt. Nette en fijne bediening.

Vriendelijk personeel met een mooi terras en oplettend (hadden een waterbak voor onze hond neer gezet zonder te vragen) Was iets fout gegaan met onze bestelling waardoor we een rondje drinken gratis kregen. Kwaliteit van eten was erg matig op de dag dat wij er waren.

Wij hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Wij zijn er 2 keer geweest en 2 keer verschillende gerechten gehad. Ook voor de kinderen genoeg keuze met kleine (best grote ;)) porties. Toen het wat drukker werd bleven helaas op andere tafels de glazen en borden staan wat de sfeer wat rommelig maakte. 2e keer was dit al beter.... Dus net niet de volle 5.

Het eten was heerlijk. Ook ruime porties! Je komt niks te kort! Het enige was dat de bediening niet heel snel was met afruimen en daardoor de overgang naar volgende gang lang duurde. Met 2 jonge kinderen duurde het echt soms te lang waardoor het tegen het einde erg gehaast moest en dat is zonde!

2 augustus hier gegeten met de familie. De voorafjes waren op zich goed, niet hoogstaand. De pasta basta van onze zoon was erg lekker (aanrader). Onze andere zoon had frietjes en nuggets, dus daar kan niet veel fout aan. Onze hoofdgerechten waren helaas een grote teleurstelling. Mijn vrouw had biefstuk die koud was. Deze hebben we terug gegeven en daar hebben ze een nieuwe voor gemaakt. Helaas was het niet lekker. Ikzelf had tonijn. Deze was heel flets / waterig, ook een teleurstelling. Het personeel doet echt wel zijn best, maar het lijkt erop dat ze (zwaar) onderbezet zijn en daardoor foutjes maken. Het zou kunnen dat wij pech hebben gehad, maar deze keer was het simpelweg niet goed.

Heel gezellige sfeer. Zeer vriendelijke vrolijke bediening. Ruime keuze op de kaart. Heerlijk gekruide spare-ribs (iets langer garen aub) ik houd niet van kluiven. Ruime porties. Overal frites mayonaise en salade bij. Een fijne afsluiting van een heerlijke vakantiedag.

Het eten was prima, gewoon lekker. Maar de service was deze keer zeer slecht. 1,5 uur moeten wachten op ons hoofdgerecht. We moesten zelf vragen waar het bleef. Toen werd het snel gemaakt en kregen een drankje van het huis. Dat was netjes. Vervolgens wilden we nog een nagerecht bestellen. Maar na een half uur wachten nadat we de kaart hadden gekregen kwam er nog steeds niemand om onze bestelling op te nemen. Erg teleurstellend. Daarna zijn we dus maar gaan afrekenen en gaven we aan dat we wel elders een ijsje gingen halen omdat er niemand kwam voor een bestelling op te nemen. Hier kwam geen reactie of excuus op. Jammer. We hadden hier vorig jaar al twee keer gegeten. Toen was de service goed. Nu dus erg teleurstellend. We zullen er deze vakantie daardoor dus niet nogmaals gaan eten.

Speciaal veel aandacht voor elke mens met name voor ouderen en gehandicapten

Gezellige sfeer, leuk vlot personeel. Eten is goed. Wij hadden saté en Thaise schotel. Kwam voor 4 personen 1 punt zakje friet bij. Je mag altijd bij vragen, maar voor 4 personen zou ik gelijk 2 punt zakjes neerzetten.

Gewoon lekker eten goed stuk biefstuk lekker gebakken met groente aardappels buikje goed vol gegeten en personeel altijd aardig

Al meerdere keren ( vorig jaar) hier gegeten. Wij weten niet waar het aan ligt maar het viel een beetje tegen. De bediening doet hij best maar het eten was …. Mwah…. Diamant haas met uien en aardappel garnituur medium gebakken was de wens . De diamant haas was meer naar de rauwe kant en de uien waren nergens te bekennen. Aardappel garnituur werd patat , wat op zich prima was. De bediening doet echt hun best en naarmate de avond vorderde kwam er meer personeel bij. Wel een pluim voor de vriendelijke bediening .

Heerlijk eten. Super vriendelijke bediening. Hier gaan we beslist weer naar toe. Zien we U dan ook? Wel op tijd reserveren voor een plekje. En dan maar smullen! Misschien ga jij ook voor Aspergemenu!

Leuk restaurant bij de camping. Heerlijke varkenshaas saté. Vriendelijk personeel.

Meestal is een restaurant op een camping meer van de snelle hap, Het Karrewiel steekt daar ruim bovenuit met prima kwaliteit eten. Bediening ook vriendelijk en vlot dus als geheel reden voor een aanbeveling.

Heerlijk gegeten en gezellige ontspannen sfeer. Totaal vernieuwde kaart, veel lekkers om uit te kiezen!

Uit eten geweest met zijn 4en. Het eten was echt super. De bediening buiten, de keuken en de drankjes waren echt super en heel vriendelijk echter de eigenaar (volgens mij heet hij Bert) die deze avond de bediening binnen zou moeten verzorgen haalde de hele eet belevenis naar beneden hij straalde uit dat hij er echt geen zin in had. Was onbeleefd tegen het personeel, was meer bezig met drankjes voor zichzelf inschenken dan met het uitserveren van eten waardoor deze meermaals lange tijd stond af te koelen. Tevens snapte hij niks van restaurant etiquetteregels en zat hij meermaals met zijn handen in het eten bij het uitserveren, had minimaal 4x extra drankjes kunnen verkopen en vroeg niet of het smaakte, liep klanten bijna van hun stoel af. Voor het eten zou ik zeker terug komen maar niet zolang deze man er is die verziekt je hele restaurant beleving.

Nog nooit zo’n goed restaurant op een camping/vakantiepark mogen vinden, dit is zeker een aanrader!
