Good restaurant with an extensive menu, friendly and efficient service. We had a delicious fish meal.

This was one of the most disappointing vegetarian meals I've had in a restaurant. When I asked what the "vegetarian surprise" was, I was told I wasn't allowed to know because it was a surprise. In retrospect, I suspect this wasn't mentioned because the kitchen simply randomly rummages through their refrigerator to put something on the plate when someone orders it. So I had different things on my plate than my table companion, and something different than what I was told should have been on the plate from someone at another table, who apparently was allowed to know. I received a soggy quiche (with spinach, which I don't like and therefore didn't eat), a spring roll (also soggy, because the kitchen had put the quiche on top), two mini quiches from the freezer, and a tomato filled with pasta and mushroom sauce. I also heard from two others in my group that their mini quiche contained fish, which isn't great for a vegetarian. Carpaccio was delicious, hence not 1 star

I ate here a little over a year ago, and I've been back. Just like last year, it was a great success. Friendly service and good food. The only minor complaint is that I don't think the "Spicy" spareribs are particularly spicy, but they're still incredibly delicious! If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely eat here again!

Cozy restaurant with very tasty food

Nice place, especially inside. Full of nostalgic things. Looks cozy. Toasties were very tasty, owner very friendly. It is located on a busy road but glass blocks a lot of noise.

We expected a bit more. Meat okay, large schnitzel despite the fact that I had asked for a senior platter. Vegetables not, a very small bowl of lettuce and apple compote. Vegetarian menu, an allergen of vegetarian snacks. Asparagus, fried mushrooms, spring rolls and 2 quiches. Unfortunately little or no imagination. Of course fries, other items can be ordered as an extra. Dessert rhubarb pie with ice cream and whipped cream was a real disappointment. More like a sheet cake, with something on it that is supposed to represent rhubarb. Waitress could not tell me whether it was homemade or not. She thought it was a shame that it was disappointing. Too expensive in comparison. 2 pers. more than €80;00. 2x main course, 2x dessert 3x soft drinks. So for us it will remain this one time.

Wij hebben hier heerlijk gegeten, bediening was erg vriendelijk!. Saté van de haas en black angus truffel burger waren erg lekker. Het is zeker de moeite om hier langs te gaan 👍

The food was good, tasty and well prepared. The only thing that was a bit of a shame was that the 4 of us only got a small bowl of fries, less than 5-7 fries per person. We were told that we could get more, but when we paid, this turned out to be extra fries on the bill. People who were alone or with 2 received just such a container, then with 4 people you should really be able to get 2 containers as standard without paying extra. It is not about the amount (€3) but about principle/feeling. Advice to owner: 1 bowl of fries per maximum 2 people, so serve more as standard. We had a nice meal, the ladies were also nice, very nice 'texts' on the toilet doors, distinguishing male/female toilet. So everything is plus except for a comment about fries.

We hadden een tafel voor 2 personen, maar kwamen met een groepje uit een taxi. Daardoor lollig binnenkomen en vriendelijk welkom geheten. Mooie plek aan het raam Het was behaaglijk warm. Vriendelijke bediening. Goede Pinot Grigio. Veel keuze uit gerechten. Voorgerecht voor 1 persoon besteld, van alles wat. Prima, geen poespas. Hoofdgerecht kalfsschnitzel en varkenshaas. Als senior maaltijd. Prima, precies genoeg. Lekker kaasplankje als dessert. En als klap op de vuurpijl bracht de eigenaar ons naar ons hotel. Nou DÀT WAS EEN SERVICE!! Echt zò aardig. Het maakte onze dag daar compleet!

We hebben hier met een groepje prima gegeten. Attente en flexibele bediening. Enige minpunt vond ik mijn vegetarische verrassings hoofdgerechtjes: vrij smakeloze in de magnetron opgewarmde stukjes quiche en groentetaart, wat flauwe tagliatelle, een groente loempiaatje en een kopje dikke ‘briesoep’ zonder kaassmaak. Dat kan echt beter, en verder bood de kaart ook niet veel alternatieven voor een vegetariër. De chocoladesaus bij de dame blanche kwam zo te proeven uit een goedkoop flesje, beetje jammer.

Sooo this was phenomenally delicious, I haven't had such a delicious meal today in a long time. Carpaccio highly recommended, tournedos and venison too. But actually think everything. And a host (Wed 5/3/25) who knows his trade. We will definitely come back!

Leuk en lekker Ik had de spareribs hot en mijn man had de scholfilet. We hebben alle twee genoten. Erg lekker en ook hele vriendelijk bediening. Top dus!

A very relaxed, friendly atmosphere with prompt and attentive service. A mix of classic and creative dishes, with a huge selection. The quantities were more than adequate, senior portions were available, and the quality was mouthwatering. The prices were very reasonable and the value for money was excellent. I'd love to come back!

We had a reservation. Our drinks were taken promptly and brought fairly quickly. It then took at least half an hour for the menu to arrive. The waiters had already passed us by several times. Then another group of men and women arrived. They ordered drinks. They arrived very quickly, as did the bread. They received their main course before we did, as did their dessert. They were out before we were. Poor service.

Delicious food in a friendly atmosphere, with attentive and friendly staff. Exactly as a small restaurant should be. Went there two nights in a row, both times we ate more than fine. Schnitzel, pork tenderloin and venison steak recommended, with tasty side dishes (which could be a bit more clearly stated on the menu).

Checked out Formula 1 at the cafe de lindeboom. And at the end, a buffet arranged by the Lagerhuis Garderen restaurant was very well taken care of and delicious. Definitely recommended. thank you to the lime tree and the lower house

Had the hunting dish, it was so delicious. Even the red cabbage and rhubarb were absolutely great. Definitely recommended!

First called for reservation and told me that my wife is gluten free, now the treatment was Super and the food incredibly tasty and healthy and good, what a Service. Many restaurants should learn from them. Was great and not expensive

Voor de 2e keer hier gegeten op de verjaardag van mijn oude vader. Eerdere ervaring was niet geweldig aangezien de bediening niet zo vriendelijk was maar dacht dat het eten wel mee viel. Was bovendien maandagavond en dit was 1 van de weinige restaurants die open was. We hebben het gezellig gehad maar was achteraf toch ene teleurstelling. Gamba's blijken grote garnalen te zijn zwemmend in een pannetjes met saus en de carpaccio is bedolven onder een laag mayonaise zodat je het vlees eigenlijk niet meer proeft. Alle 3 hadden we voor de wildstoof gekozen en die was redelijk. Wildsmaak ontbrak eigenlijk wel. Rode wijn (merlot) was lekker maar de witte wijn (pinot grigio) viel echt niet in de smaak dus daarvoor werd gevraagd of die vervangen mocht worden door een andere. Het nog volle glas werd vervangen door een beter smakende sauvignon blanc. Afsluiting met een wel goed smakende dame blanch met sterretje voor mijn jarige vader was leuk en attent. Over het geheel gezien was het eten matig maar teleurstellend was de rekening. De pinot grigio werd aanvankelijk gewoon in rekening gebracht maar na aandringen van mijn vrouw terugbetaald. Ook de mayonaise staat apart vermeldt. Is toch jammer en niet nodig want dat geeft net dat negatieve setje of het ok was of juist niet.

Food was fine. We sat in a back room, which made it less easy to order an extra glass of wine or something else in between. It's also a shame for the extra income for this restaurant... it was certainly well-deserved. All in all, good and sufficient food, friendly staff and overall a great atmosphere.

Been here before when visiting the Veluwe, and the food is really tasty (tomato soup is delicious). I haven't been here for a while and this year I noticed that you have to pay extra for everything... for vegetables, potatoes and even mayonnaise (for one euro! ) 'dishes are served with salad' this is really a mini bowl on your plate... my idea is to make the dishes 50 cents more expensive if necessary and just serve mayonnaise with fries and potatoes... (or if you are afraid of waste, ask whether it is desired..) some of the girls at the service are also not very attentive. My past experiences were better, but the food was still delicious.

Nice restaurant, cozy and intimate, we both ordered a truffle hamburger, it was delicious, fresh, large and juicy. Coffee afterwards was also tasty, recommended.

Reception friendly drink fine and then sent away due to a malfunction in the oven, then you offer something else salad etc. Plate mussels on the sidewalk and then say that they are not there yet. Our impression is that we don't feel like preparing lunch

After a visit to Sand Sculptures and the Sculpture Garden, we cycled around Garderen and finally settled on the terrace at Restaurant Ons Lagerhuys. Nice cool beer on tap, cheerful owner and tasty snacks for drinks. Highly recommended.

Monday evening just after 8pm. After a long day I wanted something easy to eat. Upon entering I said I would like to eat. The girl - who was undoubtedly just doing her job - looked at me in disbelief and immediately said “no… the kitchen is already closed”… Tip: adjust the opening hours on Google. Extremely bad service!

Heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant. Goede, gastvrije,vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Het restaurant zat lekker vol. De gerechten zagen er ook lekker en smaakvol uit. Goede temperatuur van de gerechten. En niet vergeten en zo hoort het ook, een chocolaatje bij de koffie als afsluiter en geen koffiekoekje😀

Even getwijfeld of we hier wel wilde eten. De prijzen zijn nogal stevig maar heel eerlijk, waar niet. Bij de deur hartelijk begroet en uitgenodigd aan de enige 4 persoons tafel die nog over was. Het was volledig vol verder. Zal deels aan Pasen liggen maar moet toch ook iets zeggen over de kwaliteit. En dat was prima! Biefstuk, zalm met asperges en zeker de cordon blue was erg lekker. Toetje achteraf en iedereen tevreden. Ja niet goedkoop maar het was het gewoon prima waard. Als het goed is is het goed toch? Beidewee: ons hondje mocht naast de stoel lekker slapen en was blij met zijn water!

The cordon blue was not as a cordon blue is intended. It was rancid, seemed to have been cooked, possibly from the freezer and quickly put in the microwave. Top with a slice of melted cheese. There was no flavor to the crust, which was supposed to be crispy, but it was soft and snotty. It turned out to be a flattened veal cutlet that looked a lot like minced meat. We were told by the waiter. The service was friendly and they couldn't do anything about it. But they won't see us here again

The chateau briand was perfect! Warm, red and buttery soft. The spare ribs are a surprise: smoked and marinated...delicious. Fast and good service. Highly recommended in a casual atmosphere 🙏🏼.

The idea is that you are sitting in a cozy café, but the menu and food are really worthy of a good restaurant. We had a delicious meal! The hare leg and venison steak are highly recommended. The finger food and tomato soup were also delicious.

Quaint, friendly, delicious are words that come to mind when describing this cozy restaurant. We booked for 3 people and were served, mainly, by what I guess was the owner. A hospitable guy who definitely enjoys his job. The food was made with care and was a joy to eat. Well done and thank you!

Een leuk restaurant met redelijke prijzen, goed eten en aardige bediening. Leuke sfeer.

Leuk restaurant, gezellige sfeer, ontzettend vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Eten was perfect, misschien voor grote eters wat kleine porties maar voor ons meer dan genoeg.

De tournedos was prima van qualiteit, maar weinig kruiden. De spareribs helaas niet zo mals en niet de zoete, maar bbq rub. Komen helaas niet vd bbq. Jammer, wel erg vriendelijk en er daarom maar niets van gezegd.

Eten was heerlijk, met vriendelijke bediening.

Vanavond hier gegeten. We hadden er super veel zin in, maar wat was het een tegenvaller. We aten de chateaubriand, die in plakjes gesneden was, wat volgens mij niet echt zo hoort te zijn. De smaak was vlak. Ik heb hem op andere plaatsen zeker beter gehad. Bediening was oke. Wat me nog het meest irriteerde waren de smerige vensterbanken die bol lagen met dode vliegjes. Vraag me dan ook echt af of hier nooit op gecontroleerd wordt. Dit bezoek is niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Jammer

Bij 32 graden gegeten. Leuke, originele en gevarieerde menukaart. Smaken zijn prima en zacht.

Heerlijk cappuccino gedronken met een echt lekker appelgebak. Een aanrader.

Het was het allemaal 'net' niet. Smaak vd gerechten vrij tam, maar dat is natuurlijk een verschil voor iedereen. En de Chateaubriand was klein en al voorgesneden ipv dat je hem heet opgediend krijgt en zelf snijdt, vind ik toch leuker en smaakvoller. De koffie met tia Maria...het was óf geen echte tia of het was veel te weinig. Ik had er op het moment zelf wat van moeten zeggen....maar niet gedaan, niet handig. De mevrouw in de bediening was erg chagrijnig. We hadden gereserveerd en moesten binnen zitten, terwijl het buiten 23 graden was. Zou er niet nog eens heen gaan.

Met 8 personen heerlijk geluncht. We hadden allemaal een ander gerecht, maar alles smaakte lekker. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar.

Wat fijn! Een restaurant waarbij het lijkt dat de prijzen de laatste jaren stil gestaan hebben. Gewoon een prima omgeving en zoals gezegd "normale" prijzen.

Zomaar terechtgekomen in Garderen na bezoek aan dolfinarium dus niet gereserveerd konden gelukkig nog aanschuiven. Vriendelijke bediening en het eten was voortreffelijk. Bij de gerechten werden er ook salade en patatjes geserveerd. Voldoende keuze’s in het menu.

Voor de tweede keer heel goed gegeten. En heel attente eigenaren en bediening. Als wij de volgende keer weer in de buurt zijn komen wij graag weer terug.
