Eetlokaal Klinkers in Wijk 00 Oosterhout-Centrum

Dropped one star compared to my previous visit. The service has dropped from 5 to 3 stars for me after last night. My previous post had 5 stars. Last January, we were served wonderfully by a super friendly host. He paid attention to us, chatted with us, and radiated a sense of welcome. Unfortunately, I had a different experience last night. Our hostess wasn't at all concerned with ensuring her guests had a pleasant evening. She did her thing. Nothing more, nothing less. You could barely connect with her. A friendly smile or the feeling of being welcome were nowhere to be found. Such a shame, because the food was truly delicious. The gentlemen in the kitchen create truly beautiful dishes. But ultimately, you want the entire experience of a six-course dinner, which is also quite expensive, to be truly enjoyable. Later that evening, we were finally served by the friendly host from the previous evening. He made up for a lot.

In my opinion, the quality of the food is truly TOP-notch. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The food was an explosion of flavors. The restaurant's interior, which I find less atmospheric, is more than compensated for by the quality and diversity of what's served.

Fantastic food (surprise menu) and hospitable

We have been coming here for over 15 years now and Klinkers still surprises us every time. The quality is always top: delicious dishes, perfectly seasoned, prepared with great care. The surprise menus in particular are highly recommended. The service is exceptionally good. The staff is professional, friendly and the timing between courses is always just right and coordinated. Everything runs smoothly and is organised, which creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. In short: a restaurant that we always enjoy returning to and that has never disappointed us. Highly recommended!

Yesterday we had a fantastic evening with Niels and his team. Delicious and surprising food in a very relaxed atmosphere with casual, perfect service with a lot of knowledge. Really great!

Last week we surprised my mother and stepfather with a dinner at Eetlokaal Klinkers. This was a unique experience for my mother and stepfather, because they had never eaten such nice and creative dishes. Everything was perfect and was arranged from top to bottom. For us it was (unfortunately) no longer a surprise, because we have been coming to Klinkers regularly for years now and are and remain very impressed! In short, it was again completely great!

For 6 years now, a dish from Copenhagen has been number 1 on the list of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in my life. But since tonight I have a new number 1 and that is the steak from Eetlokaal Klinkers 🤤♥️ If you have the opportunity to reserve a table here: DO IT!! Then definitely ask for this vegetarian dish with sweet potato and beetroot. It won't disappoint you even as a meat eater, I promise you 🙏🏼 NOT NORMALLY TASTY 🤌🏼 We'll be back soon, thanks a lot Niels!

The very best restaurant in Oosterhout

Met een groep collega’s het 6 gangen verrassingsmenu met bijbehorend wijnarrangement genuttigd. Zowel de kwaliteit van het eten, de wijn en de bediening liet niets te wensen over. Zeer prettige ervaring en voor herhaling vatbaar.

Eetlokaal Klinkers is inderdaad geen restaurant waar je rustig gaat dineren. In rap tempo volgde broodjes (heel vaak) amuses en je viergangen menu. Geen rustig overleg over de wijnkaart. Rappe uitleg over wat er op het bord ligt. En dat was allemaal goed. Lekker bereid en goed op smaak. Grote porties bij elke gang. Prijs kwaliteit is goed. Geen fine dining, maar top voor de grotere eter.

Once again a delicious meal. Surprise menu that never disappoints and is always surprising. Upon entering you are immediately asked for your coat and guided to a table. Staff vary in age and experience, but all attend. We work hard, but there is a relaxed atmosphere and you can see that the staff wants to help each other.

Incredibly tasty and good service.

Neat restaurant where, among other things, a surprise menu is served. Very fun to do. Certainly also in combination with the matching wine menu (also available in half glasses). The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant itself is nicely laid out, but also noisy at the same time. With a larger group it is more difficult to understand each other.

Gereserveerd. Ontvangst door goed gekleed en vriendelijk personeel. Keuze hoeveel gangen wij wilden want in het weekend is er geen a’ la carte menu maar gangen verassing menu. Alle gerechten werden op speciale wijze gepresenteerd waarbij het personeelslid vertelde wat het gerecht was. Deze gelegenheid is per auto moeilijk te bereiken zonder het parkeerbeleid te negeren.

Gezellig ingericht restaurant, uiterst vriendelijke ontvangst. Als amuse o.a. een heerlijk pastinaak soepje met kerrie, super! De trio vis erg lekker, de varkenswang, heerlijk van smaak, evenals hert in een heerlijke jus. Het bijpassende wijnarrangement was erg goed, Glazen werden goed gevuld. De bediening uiterst professioneel en zeer service gericht, met een uitstekende kennis van zaken. Al met al een bezoek is een absolute aanrader.

Prima ontbangst zoals het hoort! Gekozen voor 4 gangen verrassingsmenu vis. Mooi opgemaakte borden. Steeds bij elkaar passende maar ook verrassende smaken. De tussengerechtjes van het huis waren perfect. Maar dat zijn we gewend van Klinkers. Al met al weer een geslaagde avond.

This restaurant for me rates in the top 10 restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of visiting in my travels to over 25 countries. The service was top notch, attentive and friendly but not overbearing. They acknowledged correctly our dietary limitations which were made with the reservation. We selected the four course dinner along with wine accompaniment. We were even asked how much time we wished between courses, something I have never experienced. The food was presented beautifully and tasted great. The portions were spot on; not too small but just right for the four courses. Each of the wines paired with the dishes were described in detail by the server and nicely complemented the dishes. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. I will certainly return when I come to visit my family in Oosterhout.

I recently had dinner at Eetlokaal Klinkers with my group of friends and it was a nice experience! The food was delicious. Each dish was carefully prepared and full of flavour. The combinations of ingredients were excellent and we could clearly tell that a lot of attention was paid to the preparation. It was a full evening program, so we could enjoy several courses. The service was good. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional without being intrusive. They gave us time to enjoy each dish and explained the wine choices well, which also helped us enjoy the evening. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. The restaurant has an inviting and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for an evening with friends. We immediately felt at ease and the entire restaurant exuded a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a pleasant experience and one worth repeating.

With 19 people on an excursion to kingfish Zeeland and on the way back we had a delicious meal at Klinkers. The kitchen staff managed to serve a perfect 4-course menu in the unfortunately short time we had on the road. Satisfied, we eventually continued towards Boxmeer. Just had a delicious meal with company. Everything completely according to your wishes. The only thing might be to ask how 'weird' people want their meat with the surprise menu. Not everyone chooses 'rare' to 'medium rare'. We would love to come back again.

Heerlijk gegeten. Ook echt aan te raden voor vegetariërs. Dit was altijd een twijfel puntje om hier te gaan eten, maar we konden zelf het verrassingsmenu vegetarisch krijgen. Heel erg goed gegeten!

Went out for dinner with my parents on Saturday, July 20. When we arrived inside, it only became clear to us that there was no choice. We did not like the surprise menu. We prefer a la carte. No menu was issued and we had to wait and see what would be charged. Moreover, the alternative to the main course (duck breast) was a really well-done piece of Veal. Despite the many positive reviews, this restaurant does not receive a positive review from us.

We regularly try a restaurant, but when we want a really tasty and enjoyable meal we always go to Klinkers. Have eaten many times now and never been disappointed. We always do a surprise menu and this is always a party, especially with the appetizers that are served in between. The service is also top notch, very friendly and very professional, something that is often lacking these days.

I had dinner here recently and really enjoyed it. I had the boar as a starter, which was very tasty and had many varying flavors through sauces, vegetables and meat. As a main course I had the tenderloin, it was very tender, very tender and also had a lot of flavor. Price wise it was more on the expensive side, but I thought it was very worth the money. I would love to come back someday.

Location has a living room atmosphere, not formal and could use an upgrade, which is not a nuisance. The food is excellent, beautiful flavors and everything in balance. The matching wines were also well selected.

We have been coming there for years and are never disappointed. I eat lactose-free and am always happy that there are delicious alternatives for me.

Six-course dinner with matching wines. Excellent arrangement. One downside, the small sandwiches in between could be more neutral in taste. This improves the tasting of the wine. By the way, those sandwiches are also very tasty.

It's definitely not a restaurant for everyone. Very expensive, unfriendly staff and the menu features wild animals that should actually be protected. A restaurant that is certainly not for vegetarians or nature lovers.

On Friday evening with five people we had a delicious meal in the super cozy restaurant Klinkers in Oosterhout. Chef/owner Niels Janssen served us a fresh salmon starter in addition to some tasty amuse-bouche. As a main course, some of us had deliciously prepared deer, the others had fish. As a dessert from the surprise menu, we received a generous portion including delicious chocolate mousse. A really great evening!

We eat at Klinkers very regularly. Definitely our favorite restaurant! The food is fantastic (whether you eat vegetarian or are a fish/meat lover) and we are positively surprised every time. The wines taste good and are perfectly matched to the food. We always choose a surprise menu, because the taste of each dish says more than a thousand words. If it were up to us, this restaurant would have been awarded a Michelin star long ago, but it is nice that it is still a bit of a hidden gem.

We started with a delicious aperitif and were served fresh warm rolls and an appetizer before we had even seen a menu! We didn't need that because we were surprised by the surprise menu with wine pairing. Really A-L-L-E-S tasted so amazing, the wines were perfect and the service was friendly, funny and very informative. A real recommendation: you shouldn't miss this restaurant if you are in the area.

If you eat at Niels, Eetlokaal Klinkers, you will have a pampering evening. Tasty snacks with warm sandwiches until the main course. The menu is full of delicious food in 3 or more courses, and I can recommend the surprise menu. Any food allergies will be taken into account. An extensive wine list makes it complete.

Staff very friendly and ensure that you don't miss anything. At the start you will be asked about allergies and dietary requirements, and these will be taken into account. Absolutely recommended!

I came back here 1.5 weeks later and we got a completely different Vegan 4 course menu. Really great, especially because we didn't make a Vegan reservation. The atmosphere was great again, excellent service, great food and a very acceptable bill. I'll be back :)
