Officially my favorite lunch spot in Groningen! This really is lunch on a different level, something that is often neglected at other restaurants. Everything is right here! Delicious homemade ice teas and everything about the sandwiches is just right. Richly topped and all flavors are surprising and good! Our favorite is the sandwich with tenderloin tips. And the owners are also very friendly. Tip: Book in advance because they fill up quickly because it is only a small tent.

*Make a reservation before coming here! In the time we were there, we saw at least 4 couples get rejected because they didn't reserve a table!!!* Been here twice for lunch, and it's been amazing every time. Lovely service and the quality of the food was supreme for the price paid. Cosy vibe, only comment is that it can get busy. Can't recommend enough!

Reservation simply canceled two weeks before the event On October 11, six weeks before my party, I went by to make a reservation for a party. The owner, Bas, was very enthusiastic and the location looked good. We immediately discussed everything in detail: snacks, drinks, date and time. Everything was recorded and I invited my guests. On November 1, three weeks before the event, I received a message from Bas confirming the reservation. I confirmed this immediately. To my great surprise, on November 8, just two weeks before the party, I was told that the reservation suddenly could no longer be made. Without any solution, I was told that I had to look for another location. As a result, I now have to arrange a new suitable place at the last minute and inform all guests about the change. This is downright bad service. It causes a lot of stress and shows that customer friendliness is hard to find here. Advice: If you make a reservation here, be sure to have a backup plan. Trusting that everything will really go ahead turns out to be no certainty.

Even without a hangover, the after-party breakfast is highly recommended! Relaxed atmosphere, nice people and delicious food!

Had a delicious meal here at the weekend! A fresh home made iced tea with a delicious gluten-free bun. Enjoy the sun and pure enjoyment. You can eat here safely as someone with celiac disease / who is gluten-free. Tip: book (well) in advance. They then clean the kitchen and take good care of it, which made me feel safe and comfortable here. I made a reservation for a short day, but they still thought along with options. Great service!

A real asset to the city! Had lunch from the menu with beers on the terrace. Really delicious!! The young men who run this seem very real and sincere and are super nice. You just notice that they enjoy their work and want to give their guests a wonderful (taste) experience. The terrace was well occupied today. Inside it also looks cozy and cozy. The reviews say it all, a really top restaurant! We had a sandwich with chicken & avocado and one with marinated tenderloin tips. Both great! The host and cook were also very friendly. The service was very fast despite us seeing it was quite busy for the two members of staff. We will definitely come back here when we are in the area again.

Ever since I spontaneously walked in here with a friend, this has become my favorite lunch spot in Groningen. Always good service with an eye for detail and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. I always have trouble choosing the menu, because there are so many goodies on it. But no matter what you choose, the food was delicious every time!

After a very warm welcome, we had a lovely long lunch at Eight. We enjoyed the Tuna melt and the delicious fresh teas. But what stood out most was not the menu with the delicious dishes that were difficult to choose from or the delicious fresh tea with ginger, orange and raspberry or the homemade ice tea... but the warm bath that you end up in. What nice people, you feel the nice, cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Thanks guys! We will definitely come again for lunch or drinks.

We had a fantastic Easter brunch at eight. The food was super tasty and fresh. I really liked that they work with small farms and that everything is homemade. The smoothie was great too. Highly recommended and I want to go again to try other things from the menu 🤤

Eight is a small cozy restaurant. Your coat will be hung up upon arrival. Very nice because then you don't have to cram so much. The food is beautifully prepared and the service is very pleasant and service-oriented. I have gluten intolerance and have eaten there twice now. It really is gluten free!!! Worry-free eating. We ended up at Eight because of the good reviews and we can recommend it to everyone. My husband had delicious cornbread with perfectly cooked tenderloin tips. I had Slice Tuna Melt, the tuna was nice and spicy and the overall taste with the cheese was wonderfully soft. A great lunch for both of us. The two men, one in the kitchen and the other in service, are friendly, enthusiastic and driven. They want to deliver quality and that is reflected in everything!

Het is natuurlijk altijd goed toeven bij Eight, maar als je een bijzonder diner wil regelen, is de private dining bij de heren echt een aanrader. Terwijl de deur op slot ging, werden we in de watten gelegd door Bas en toverde Michel het ene na het andere bord heerlijk eten tevoorschijn. Goed doordacht en sterk concept waarbij alle ingrediënten op verrassende wijze telkens weer terug kwamen. Compleet met een eetbaar tuintje als dessert & een lieve boodschap op de plate met friandises. Dat is wat Eight zo leuk maakt, een huiskamersfeer met sterren eten en veel oprechte aandacht voor hun klanten. Klasse zonder kapsones. Bedankt mannen!
