El Niño Beach Club in Wijk 07 Scheveningen

For me, everything was perfect. The weather was very average, there were no people anywhere. I was served quickly, and the waiter was very friendly and circulating. The food was okay, and their signature drink was also very decent. I couldn't have asked for anything more for a moment of relaxation like this. I could sit, eat, drink, and relax in peace. The prices weren't too bad either 👀

Nice place to sit, good music, and almost all the food was delicious. With the exception of the American pancakes, which were cold. But they were ready to fix it right away. All in all, a positive experience. Definitely recommended!

Nice place at first glance. We were served reasonably quickly. The menu was fine, but the food was very expensive and not what we had expected. For this price, you expect fresh products and not corn and mushrooms in vinegar... without those products, the sandwich was okay, but not for that price. When paying, they didn't even ask if everything had been to our liking. All in all, a letdown.

Every location on the beach is beautiful but BEWARE, watering down your wine seems quite normal... but here they charge at least 5.50 for a sip of water. Not in a bottle like... Spa Blue, or Chaufontainne, but plain and simple from the tap...

It’s not Spa Blue or Chaudfontane, but water from a tap or stall for 5.50… so a soft drink is actually a cheaper option if you just want a quick sip with your wine. She doesn't ask about it and seems to think it’s perfectly normal. But they won't see me back there. Personally, I found it scandalous.

Sometimes you arrive at a terrace unexpectedly and get a pleasant surprise… That is exactly what happened to us last Saturday when we were enthusiastically greeted upon arrival at the terrace by a young waiter with a big, fat smile. Cheerful and cheerful, he walked across the terrace, working hard with an eye for his guests, and having a friendly chat from time to time. He is simply a young man who truly understands what it means to work in the hospitality industry. A huge breath of fresh air, and partly because of that, we had a wonderful afternoon at your place on the terrace. Delicious food, on a bench with the sun on our faces. Great, pleasant music and good service from DEXTER. We say: kudos to him and make him Employee of the Month for August!

We always used to go to the Zanzibar, but today, 16-08-2026, we went there again and ordered a Bucket of Corona, but it wasn't on the menu anymore, so we paid €7.00 and paid immediately. Then we went to El Niño; the Bucket was still on the menu there, and we had a super afternoon. After 5 Buckets, we went back to the hotel! Next time, this is our new beach bar!!! The staff is super friendly and the food is great for a good price-quality ratio! TIL next time!!!

The food was fantastic and highly recommended. We went to the beach club on a whim, and it wasn't too crowded, so we didn't need a reservation. However, I would recommend reserving a table if you're planning to go on a Friday or Saturday evening with really nice weather, as it can get quite busy. The ambiance is unbeatable: right on the beach, with a view of the sea, a fire pit for a bit of warmth in the evening when it gets cooler, and the sunset is simply breathtaking! The lighting and decor are very romantic and beautifully done. If you're sitting outside and it gets chilly in the evening, you can ask for a blanket, and they'll provide one, which I think is absolutely wonderful. All in all, I highly recommend checking it out.

We went for the "brunch buffet" on Sunday. Unfortunately, we didn't look at the buffet beforehand. The buffet was an absolute disgrace. There was no fresh fruit or vegetables. There were only pre-packaged cakes, bad salads, bad bread, and the only fresh thing was eggs cooked on-site. And all for 17 euros! We didn't get full and ended up with nothing but pre-made cake?? There were two types of cheese, which were completely dry. I've rarely eaten so badly.

We had a terrible experience at this establishment and left completely disappointed. We waited for an entire hour just to receive a menu, which is absolutely unacceptable. We had to ask our waiter three separate times before anyone finally brought one to our table. To make matters worse, once we looked at the options, we found that none of the available drinks was worth ordering. In the end, we wasted an hour of our night on absolutely nothing and will not be returning.

Cozy beach bar with a relaxed atmosphere. The tapas are fine, but there is a lot of fried food.

We were served by Dexter and he is so cheerful, polite, enthusiastic, and quick; that really made our day complete!! The food was delicious, we had a very pleasant time, best service ever, only the price was a bit on the high side, but oh well, we know that when we go to Scheveningen ;-)

The smoothie was good, but the same cannot be said of the mixed grill; the burger was cold inside, and the mini chicken skewer had dry, tough chicken. It is disgusting to charge 35 euros for this.

The food was burnt, the meat wasn't cooked to the ordered doneness, there was a strong smell of grass, and the service was mediocre. According to the server, the pancake had to be black on one side… no more need to hear that. Find a different beach club, spend a little more, and be happy.

The weather was perfect but our experience was not!!! Ordered 2 tapas platters for 2 people via Social Deal for 25 euros; it would have been cheaper on the El Nino menu, but anyway, what a disgrace and totally not worth the money. Ordered sangria for 32 euros 🙄 and there was no fruit in it!! No, that's in your glass, she says🤣🤣 The service was good, though! I live in Scheveningen myself but I don't find it surprising that it isn't busy anymore, the prices are insane!

A really nice beach bar. Even though El Nino is located in one of the most touristy spots in Scheveningen, it feels like a place for locals. It is always clean and the staff is very friendly. Manager Mike, in particular, always ensures top-notch service and the best cocktails. See you soon.

We came for a bite to eat yesterday and afterwards stayed to watch the World Cup on the big screen. Not a single seat had been cleaned and they were smeared with bird droppings, we paid €4.75 for a cola that was half empty upon arrival because the waitress had talked it all out, there was one lady who seemed to be in charge but wasn't the most hospitable, and on top of that the food was really not tasty, cold, and way too expensive for what it was. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Unfortunately, a bad experience. We were completely ignored, so we just asked for the lunch menu at the bar ourselves. Then we were completely ignored again. So we left and went to another place where they actually acknowledge customers....

Very bad experience... we arrived, a young lady was standing there asking if she could help us, we asked for a table for 2, then she said: you can sit wherever you want. Because we wanted to watch football, we sat on a bench where other people were sitting diagonally across from us, but we had asked them if the bench opposite was occupied. The bench was free and they were fine with us sitting there. So we were sitting comfortably, the same girl came walking up and said: yes, you aren't allowed to sit here, these people are sitting here, aren't they...?! We and the other people said that we were fine with it. She walked away without saying anything. A few minutes later she came back and asked what we wanted to drink, we ordered drinks and wanted to order food right away but she was gone again quickly. We called her back and asked to order food immediately as well. Ordered and about 20 minutes later the food arrived. The chicken was not tasty and very tough and the vegetables were cold, the burger from the mixed grill was medium rare, and they didn't even ask how we wanted it. If she had asked, the answer would have been well-done. So after a minute or so, the same lady comes over to ask: is everything to your liking? We look doubtful and say, well, actually not... the vegetables are cold, she says: oh, that isn't right, is it like that with you too, she asked my partner, he says 'yes' she says: oh then it must be supposed to be like that... I ask: aren't you sure? She says: 'No, I don't eat that.' I ask: 'Do you mean you don't eat vegetables? Or don't eat meat?' She says... no, I don't eat anything here... THINK IT ALL LOOKS DISGUSTING...' Well... we were quite in shock, didn't say anything more... she turned red and stood there a bit awkwardly and laughed just as awkwardly... and then walked away. A little later, a young man walked past; we pointed out to him that the burger wasn't cooked through, only 2 bites had been taken and it was red inside. He said 'okay' and took the plate away. He said we could keep the fries and sauce, so he left those on the table, but all the meat (not just the burger, but also the chicken and sausage from the mixed grill) went into the kitchen. About 10 minutes later, he came back. With the same burger, which had two bites missing, and the chicken and sausage, but only the burger was warm and now well done, while the chicken and sausage were now ice cold.... The man put the plate on the table and walked away. Said nothing. Meanwhile, part of my food was finished, the other part was cold because we wanted to eat together, and my partner's food arrived much later due to the burger. So the options are: not eating together or eating cold food. The drinks were long gone by then too, but the awkward girl kept skipping the table... We quickly finished part of the food, left the cold meat. Paid and left IMMEDIATELY. What a terrible place! Only the location and the fact that football was on were positive. But otherwise.... pff... the employee just says: 'I THINK THE FOOD LOOKS DISGUSTING'.... and no apologies for the burger, for which they didn't ask how you wanted it, and not keeping the rest of the meat warm. No asking for drinks anymore... terrible service! Totally not worth the money! Fries at the chip shop taste better and are at least warm ;)

3-7-2026 Renewed acquaintance. The staff is just as friendly and it is still a great place to be. The tapas are delicious. The Texels' blond beer tastes very good. Had all kinds of small bites as tapas. Great beach bar, a nice place to be. Friendly, engaged staff strike up a conversation and enjoy their work.

The restaurant is generally good: a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. But the taste of the food was truly terrible. The chef really needs to be replaced, otherwise the restaurant will lose its reputation and customers.

Our favorite beach bar for a Sunday breakfast buffet to start the day, and as we enjoy the morning sun and our breakfast... the beach fills up and we head home with full stomachs and rosy cheeks. Hoping for another beautiful, sunny Sunday.

Strawberry Smoothie was more a Flush ice drink with a touch of something similar to strawberries. Cocktails and Mocktails were really good. Fast and friendly waiters.

Good place to sit because noone come to pick up order

After 25 min waiting for drink I just go awat, bar was almost empty , max 3 customer but server was too busy talking with each other at the bar ! I order at the bar to not wait at the server but still after they said the drink is prepare waited another 15 min with nothing ! Not recomended at all !

We only ordered drinks; the service was good and the atmosphere excellent. Great seating – right on the beach, after all. The prices are commensurate with the location. 😉 They accommodate special requests: 0.5l half Sprite, half beer. Draft shandy isn't on the drinks menu.

Bad service, waited 45 minutes for someone to come and take our order for drinks/food. 30 minutes later we finally received our drinks. Another 40 +/- minutes later our food. The food was cold. The hamburger was completely raw. We reported this. Waited another +/- 45 minutes before we could speak to someone about it; nothing was done about the cold food. My husband walked over himself to pay. We were done with it. I have never experienced anything like this before. I will never come back here again.

We spontaneously decided to go to this beach club once we were there. We really liked the atmosphere with its yellow and orange cushions. We ordered burgers, which were delicious. The beach club has its own restroom, which was reasonably clean. The food arrived quickly, and the service was very friendly. The prices were "average," but naturally a bit higher since it's right on the beach.

It took almost about 50 mins to an hour to get a single drink and two fries to the table without it being too busy at all. Other people who came in later in the meanwhile got served earlier than us multiple times…. I don’t recommend this place

The food is awful, the staff acts like they're blind, passing dirty tables several times. Three people brought us salt for an hour without any significant activity. They ignore customers; everyone was dissatisfied; I don't know where these positive reviews came from. The drinks also leave much to be desired.

TOURIST TRAP! A tapas platter with 4 bitterballen, half a baguette, and a few olives for €26 is simply ridiculous, and the sangria for €32 is practically alcohol-free.

There was plenty of space on Saturday at 11:30. It took a long time for our drinks to arrive. One person already received their drink, and we waited at least another 15 minutes for the other four. After trying to get their attention for a while, they came to take our lunch order. However, due to the long wait, we only had an hour left for lunch because of a theater visit. Given that we had already had to wait so long for our drinks, we asked if it would be possible within an hour. He couldn't guarantee that... a tapas platter couldn't be guaranteed to arrive on time at all. We ordered lunch anyway. The club sandwich is NOT recommended! Dry and tasteless. For the prices they charge, you really should expect something better! And we only had one drink because no one asked for more. We won't be coming back here. Fortunately, we had a delicious meal at a competitor in the evening; the prices there were better too!

A beach bar with very competitive prices. You can have dinner, drinks, or both at the same time. The waiters are very professional, although you have to speak up a bit to get faster service. I'll be back.

Had such a great experience, I had the server Fleur, she was so friendly and attentive. The food was so good, met the chef, At, he was great! And then the manager, Ying, she was very helpful and checked in on my experience as well! Going to tell all my friends about the restaurant!
