Recently ordered food from Elsem. Delicious and surprising. Friendly staff, and the owner is always cheerful!

Elsem is Enkhuizen's best-kept secret. We had a delicious meal and received excellent advice. They served a bit of everything.

This was our best culinary experience during our vacation in the Netherlands. Delicious appetizers (hummus, thatziki, baba ghanush); aromatic and fresh main courses prepared practically in front of us (I especially recommend the Lahma bil saniyyeh, but the chicken and lamb shank stew were also delicious); and a very caring and attentive owner. We will definitely be back.

So, you don't have to go to Amsterdam for delicious food. Baba Ganoush and the tomato tapenade were fantastic! Thank you very much.

Super delicious food, friendly service, and an incredibly nice chef/chef. We were warmly welcomed spontaneously with a group of seven. We had a minor complaint because the mint tea tasted like salt/dishwashing liquid, but this was immediately replaced. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and would be happy to come back on our next visit to Enkhuizen.

On August 30th, we enjoyed a delicious meal. The Lebanese cuisine in Elsem is flavorful, with delicate spices and flavors, and colorfully presented. The owner, who is also the chef, is passionate about his work. Highly recommended for a special dinner in a simple restaurant with excellent service.

By far the best restaurant in Enkhuizen 😋😃

The food was beautifully presented by a lovely enthusiastic waiter. " How's the Shepherd salad?" " That's my favorite, I eat it three or four times a week!" The Hummus was silky smooth . We split the Lahma Bil chefs special. It is special, beautifully spiced, fragrant and aromatic. Next time we're in Enkhuizen, we'll eat there again.

We had a delicious meal at Elsem. It wasn't very busy, perhaps because we arrived early. The service was excellent, super friendly, and even Elsem, the chef, came by to check on everything. Highly recommended.

We had a spectacular dinner at this Lebanese restaurant with our family. Everything from the atmosphere to the food was top tier. What really stood out for us was the kindness and hospitality. We called ahead to ask if they had fries because our daughter really wanted some and although it wasn’t on the menu, they kindly offered to make some just for her. The chef went out of his way to accommodate us which we truly appreciated. The food itself was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every dish. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place with incredible food and service. We’ll definitely be coming back

3 weeks ago we discussed whether we could place an order for 30 people on Saturday 14 June (jazz weekend). It was no problem. Possibly due to the crowds we would have to pick up the food. We contacted them again last week. It turned out that it was possible to deliver after all. Great. And what delicious food Everyone was super enthusiastic about the quality and taste and several people indicated that they would go and eat at the restaurant on the Westerstraat. In short, all stars.

Highly recommended! The food was delicious and very affordable. We were treated like valued guests, just amazing. After we left, we realized it was already 10 minutes past the restaurant’s official closing time, but no one said a word or rushed us. Truly appreciated!

Great ambiance – if it's too dark for you, they'll bring an extra lamp to your table. The food was excellent. I had the oven-baked shoulder of lamb, which was super tender and wonderfully seasoned. The portion size was absolutely sufficient for a hungry adult. The price/performance ratio is absolutely perfect. Many details show that the chef has good intentions for his guests. Fresh and delicious flavours. Recommended!

We had a really good meal. The chef came out from the kitchen every now and then to ask if everything was okay. We ordered a chicken platter and prawns for main courses. We tried both (in abundance) and we were both delighted with both. The small starters were also absolutely delicious. My only criticism is that it's quite dark in there, so you can't really see what you're eating. I just managed to skip the garlic clove. But everything is absolutely recommended.

My wife and I had dinner here and we were very pleased. We shared the mixed starter and then got a hot main course. Everything was served with bread and it was all new and interesting. We didn't get dessert but the coffee after the meal was very nice. A nice experience and we will definitely come back

Imam bayildi dish eaten. Eggplant from the oven, filled with various vegetables and feta cheese. Served with kepse rice and Lebanese flatbread. Delicious!!! The friendly chef came afterwards to ask if we had enjoyed it. Baklava with vanilla ice cream topped it all off. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

We were warmly welcomed by Elsem, after a disappointing service experience at Onder de Wester. Despite the crowds, we were able to go straight away and a suitable table was made for us. The staff had a lot of patience for the crowds and chaos with our children The food was generous and prepared with care. Good mezzes (hummus, babaghanoun, sigara börek) and large portions of chicken/manti with the main course. Special portions of pasta with cheese were made for the children. The atmosphere left something to be desired due to the limited lighting. We also noticed an unpleasant odor upon entering, probably from the drain. The sanitary facilities were also exceptionally clean. All in all, the inconveniences did not detract from the warm bath, the delicious food and the patient service. Thanks!

Ordered dinner for a family of 9 people. Everything was neatly ready when we came to pick it up. Very friendly help. Even received a free dessert. The food was delicious. Even the pickiest kids in the family liked it. We will definitely do this again.

The chicken wrap and the healthy wrap were good. However, the chicken dish and the lamb shoulder dish from the oven were really not tasty. Little taste. Very simple.

What a great tent this is! Delicious food with lots of spices and good flavors. Delicious drinks box and the main courses (the lamb tenderloin for me and the Ali Nazik for my husband) were also very popular. Very tasty and again something different. Went to eat Lebanese food for the first time, after we saw that this restaurant is now located in the Westerstraat. And it was so delicious, excellent quality of the food, very tasty. The service is also very good. The fact that the restaurant was completely full also says something. People even waited at the bar for a free table. So if you are in Enkhuizen, feel free to eat here.

First of all: this place was one of the few restaurants that offered a satisfying, vegan dinner option in Enkhuizen. I guess some of the reviews are outdated by now. I can‘t find anything to complain about. There was plenty of service staff, which was very friendly and polite, came quickly and also brought our order in a reasonable time. The dishes were great, authentic in taste and well sized (a main course and the first course platter were enough for two). The owner tool great care to welcome the guests and arrange the food aesthetically.

Bad service, not a nice atmosphere and the starters we ordered were unfortunately almost tasteless. We had to wait an hour for our starters. We only got this when we asked. Very disappointing. We cannot recommend it.

If you are in Enkhuizen and you fancy something different, and no nagging muzak with your food, then this is a culinary recommendation. Quiet atmosphere where you can hear each other at the table without having to shout. The food is prepared with love and you can taste it. The service is extremely friendly. The 5 stars are well deserved.

We ate here together with some Arab customers to our complete satisfaction. We were especially welcomed by the owner and he did his utmost to give us a good experience. We will definitely come again!

Everything was super delicious! The chicken kebab is highly recommended. The team and the boss are really welcoming, we will definitely be back!

If there is 10 star, I will give them all 10!!! So good food. The food was ready in about 5 minutes with such a good quality. The beef is soft and delicious. Full flavour that you taste. The people working there is what makes me the most surprised. They are so kind and nice! I only ordered a main dish, but they gave me an extra dish and bread and even a free dessert!!! Such kind people there. They literally made my day and I am so glad that I chose this restaurant. The price is also reasonable compared to what you get. I ordered the main course which is too much for me so I even took the remaining home. I am definitely happy and will recommend everyone to try at least once!
