We had our wedding cakes baked by the new city bakers. It was exactly what we envisioned—so beautiful and delicious. Now, six months after the wedding, we still hear from guests how delicious the cakes were. The communication and delivery went smoothly; everything was perfect. The communication beforehand was incredibly pleasant: they were very helpful, and once we'd shared our wishes, we didn't have to worry about a thing. They took care of everything, from making the cakes to contacting the wedding venue and delivering them. That gave us so much peace of mind leading up to the big day. The cakes themselves were, as we've come to expect from De Nieuwe Stadsbakkers, simply fantastic. And we weren't the only ones who enjoyed them: everyone around us commented on how delicious they were. As if that wasn't enough, the cakes looked stunning too! Amersfoort's nicest and most delicious bakery! Fantastic sourdough breads. Also available at Restaurant Rauw. Friendly staff. Good flour for the hobby (sourdough) baker, and also supplies like proofing baskets. So sweet that I received a blob of sourdough to replace my poorly maintained sourdough 🙏🏻

Delicious bread in a cozy place in Amersfoort!

It's a beautiful place. Delicious food, super friendly people, and simply beautiful to look at. And it's also sustainable and fair. I think it's sooooo beautiful.

On a Saturday at 3 p.m., I realized the cakes I'd ordered for 45 people weren't there. At my wit's end, I called the Nieuwe Stadbakkers. They helped me out by whipping up a beautiful cake in no time, making my wife's 50th birthday party a fantastic one after all.

In my opinion, the best (sourdough) bakery in the Amersfoort area, where you can find everything. The only bakery I buy bread from, besides making my own sourdough bread. The oatmeal bread, olive-rosemary ciabatta, and the "käkbrood" are my favorites.

This is making me so hungry! My mouth was watering. And they're open on Sundays! So good!

Bread the way it’s meant to be: mostly sourdough, always with a perfect crust and a soft, airy inside. The Leeuwenrik is my personal favorite, but honestly—you can’t go wrong with anything here. Their patisserie and viennoiserie stand out for pure flavor and top-quality ingredients, crafted with real care. A place that makes you appreciate the simple things done exceptionally well.

My most favorite bakery. The breads are phenomenal. Me and my husband love this place so much.We regularly take the spelt sourdough and it’s now a staple at our home. The desserts are so delicious and made with such love and care. I especially enjoyed the pistachio raspberry tart.And the delightful brioche which is baked sometimes, is one of the best I have ever had. This is truly a gem of a place we have discovered in Amersfoort !

It's really great—friendly people, delicious food, fresh bread. We pick up bread every Sunday for breakfast and during the week for dinner—it's truly top-notch quality. The shop is a bit warm and stuffy sometimes, today it's rated 4 for atmosphere, but it's really not a problem. I definitely recommend it. We've already "infected" several people. Overall, a 10/10.

Simply the best pastries in all of Amersfoort. And the same goes for the bread. The grey bread is my favorite. But it's also a great place for lunch. Always delicious and surprising. Door remains one of my favorite spots. Highly recommended!

Delicious bread, baked in a traditional way without any junk in it. Bread as bread is meant to be. What I do have a lot of trouble with is that the price of baguettes has recently gone up, it is understandable that everything is getting more expensive, but to then also make the baguettes a third smaller a few weeks later and charge the same price is really scandalous to me. I think this is cheating, I really have no words for it.... I even asked an employee if they had shrunk, the answer was "I don't know anything about it"

Had breakfast here during a hotel stay in Amersfoort. I would spontaneously sell my house and come live here. I don't think I've ever had such a crispy cheese croissant and the grey bread I took home was also delicious

I really enjoy coming to De Nieuwe Stadsbakkers. There is always a wide range of bread and pastries on offer. My personal favorite is the lark. The atmosphere in the bakery is also very nice. You can tell that the staff likes to work together because besides seeing them work hard, I also see them laughing a lot.

Love love love De Nieuwe Stadsbakkers. They provide the bread that we serve at our companie’s lunch, have beautiful tasty pastries and an organic shop that can’t be beat. Run, don’t walk to De Nieuw Stadsbakkers.

Amazing quality of bread ,but very limited amount. *Edit : I respect the reply and justification of the owner ,so I will change my rating from 2 ->4 . I still believe there should be breads available throughout the day ,especially on weekdays since the average worker clocks out around 17:00.

Happy reunion after 2.5 years. There are now other bakers (at a slightly different location) but fortunately the quality of the bread has remained the same..👌🏻👌🏻😋😋 . I have stocked up on the 'flagship' sesame white six times, there is no better campaign bread.

The bread here is delicious! We just moved to the area and were concerned that we wouldn't be able to find a bakery that compared to our beloved one in Groningen, but this one does not disappoint. Their sweet croissants are also fantastic. So sad they aren't open on Mondays

Beautiful shop, nice atmosphere... But the baguette is anything but French tasty baguette. So you certainly don't have to go here for the baguette.

We are a french couple living in Amersfoort and for several years, we have been customers. The quality of all the products has been consistently excellent. The baguette is as good as a good baguette in France. The traditional viennoiseries (croissant, chocolatine, etc.) are all very good and from time to time, more original variants are on offer (always crafted with good taste). The breakfast brioche that has an egg and a piece of bacon is our absolute favourite (too bad it is not always available). Keep doing such an amazing job! Negative point: it opens "late" so, on week days, we cannot get bread and croissants before going to work

Simply the tastiest sourdough bread in the middle of the Netherlands. Epi unsurpassed. This also applies to the gray loaves and baguettes. Oh, everything actually. And don't think 'I don't like that soggy sourdough bread'. No, this is light sourdough. French style. Mais oui!

Leuke plek met vriendelijk personeel. Het brood is heerlijk. We komen hier regelmatig voor een lunch. Kleine tip, als ze de olijfolie en zout op tafel zetten kan je het zelf perfectioneren.

Vaste stek voor patisserie en brood, echt heerlijk. Zo leuk als men je herkent en je een 'regular' wordt ;-).
