Esh Pitaria & Bar in Museumkwartier

We ordered: Hummus Kebab Plate & Short-rib Pita with pink grapefruit juice. The rice is really delicious and I like the combination of them. My FAVOURITE is the eggplant 🍆 , it is so delicious. Kebab was a bit dry (maybe just different from what I tasted in the shop in HK and the UK). Grapefruit juice is great! The short-rib is okay but overall having so many ingredients with €14.5 this is very good price to fill your empty stomach. Service: 4/5 as we asked to check our bill but the waitress didn’t actually help so we wait for another 10 mins just to find another staff. We entered the restaurant at 1730 after visiting the Van Gogh Museum and didn’t make a reservation but glad that there is a bar table.

Absolutely love Esh. The hummus and falafel are declious, would really recommend the falafel plate. I think the menu is really well put together, there are options for everybody and they have great gluten free options. Also excellent value for money

If you want to eat good in Amsterdam, this is THE PLACE!

Best place in the Concertgebouw area to go: for coffee, lunch and dinner, this is the place to be. Also nice to go with kids. Very child-friendly service.

One of our favorite places to eat. We haven't had such good falafel and shawarma anywhere else. All ingredients are hand-made and super fresh. The pita bread is unbeatable. My wife also absolutely loves the homemade strawberry lemonade. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Truly fantastic service. Esh Pitabar is highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We ordered the hummus and pita bread, and both were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff who made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything came together to make for a memorable dining experience. Definitely a spot we’d return to again and again.

The food was really good: taste, portion and presentation wise! Just sad they made us wait an hour while we got ourselves a reservation already… Love their lemonade, wide variation. Got nothing to complain about this place but the wait and how the waiter/tress team handled it.

I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars because the whole experience was truly amazing. It was my first time there, mainly because I found the terrace so inviting. The food was also incredibly delicious and surprisingly affordable. The service was super friendly, and the crowd was a nice mix of all ages. I also noticed the interior is nicely decorated. Food was mouldy and I ended up not eating anything. Also it was not authentic. Please refrain from wasting your money. There are many other authentic Middle Eastern restaurants around.

The quality of the food is top notch. I come back here a lot and I am never disappointed. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is always great. The only “downside” to this is place is, that it’s always fully booked. But the upside then again is that you’re always able to get yourself waitlisted and/or try to walk-in and wait by the bar, in which case you’ll still be able to squeeze yourself in. All in all, and rightly so, a great place!

What a wonderful restaurant. While not specifically Italian, it was the best four-cheese pizza we've ever had. The hummus with pita bread and the stuffed pita bread are also wonderful. Everything is extremely well-made and delicious, well worth it.

We were supposed to have a table for an hour and fifteen minutes, but after half an hour we were asked to leave, without explanation or apology.

Very good! The pita shortrib is outstanding. I've been to Tel Aviv many times, and this pita is very competitive. An absolute recommendation for everyone who loves Middle Eastern food.

This place is a gem in the heart of Amsterdam! After a lovely visit to the Van Gogh Museum, we stopped to get lunch. We were a group of 11 and were accommodated quickly. The service was great and the food was fresh and well-made. Everything had great flavor and the portions were big. I would highly recommend this place to any local or visitor.

The food was inedible. I had a shawarma pita. I have no idea what kind of spices they were, but they certainly aren't from the Arab world. It was obvious because all the text was Israeli. 😅 If I'd known that beforehand, I definitely wouldn't have ordered food from here.

I liked the pizza with arugula, goat cheese, honey. It was not a banal combination of products. The dough was moderately crispy. The pizza was different from the usual, the dough was airy and not heavy. Very tasty. The service was professional, they brought drinks and prepared food quickly. I thought that we would wait longer, since many people came and all the tables were occupied.

This restaurant is an 11/10. The Labneh and house mate pita was so good we went back twice for it. The staff were all certified babes and I also appreciated that the kitchen seemed relaxed and not stressed but the food came quick as well!

Eshy pita bar... the food is almost mediocre. Except for the drink called hummus and soda, it's mediocre. The chef's menu consists mainly of a few salads and pickles, which they put on tiny plates. I don't understand why the price goes up every 3-4 months; it's currently 29 Euros. I definitely don't recommend it. Their hummus is good, a little more tahini would be great. Also, selling a 2.5 Euro beer for 7.5 Euros is a whole other story. The drink called soda is made of soda, sugar, and herbs like mint and ginger, and it tastes good. Overall, it's overpriced and the food is tasteless. I definitely don't recommend it.
