Great place with very tasty food!

Food was delicious and portions were big!

They had canceled the order so we waited a bit but they gave us the hummus as a gift so top!

We went without a reservation, the attendant immediately arranged an empty table for us. We ordered margarita pizza, chicken hummus plate and falafel on the side. I don't know which one is included, it came with pita bread, tomato salad and a sauce. All of them were delicious. Then we tried their cocktails, which were also very nice. Both the bar and the restaurant are a very nice, warm place. There are games and coloring pages for the children. I liked it very much. I liked it and it was quite full, do not go without a reservation.

I've been wanting to go to Esh for some time. Last month, during the holidays, we were passing through the neighborhood and decided to stop by to see if there were any tables available. Lucky for us, the staff was super nice and quickly arranged three seats at the bar for us. The food was absolutely amazing, with perfectly balanced seasoning! We ordered the falafel and kebab plates—if I’m not mistaken—both of which were excellent choices. Truly, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to lately. The portions were generous, just right for three people to share. Considering the quality and portion sizes, the price was incredibly reasonable. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is really friendly. I’m already making plans to properly reserve a table next time and enjoy a more complete experience. Everyone should try it!

Great business! Fast service, delicious food and good atmosphere

I had the fluffiest pita ever! Perhaps the best chicken shawarma sandwich too, here @ Esh pita on van baerlestraat... clearly one of the best Mediterranean places in town, slightly upscale but worth it - the food, the cozy ambience, an interesting menu and right next to Museumplein

Comfortable restaurant, good portions of food. We had the 4 cheese pizza and Esh Pizza, both were great. We also had the chicken plate. Really enjoyed this dish, it came with a side salad and a sauce I couldn’t quite pin my palate to. Whatever it was…..it was great. The fresh pita bread was also banging. Overall enjoyed all the dishes, would recommend to a friend!

Great orgnic food! Pita and falafel were Yummy! Great cocktails as well, fun and easy to drink！the lady bartender were so charming and quick with orders.

The Hummus was very tasty but the amount was very poor. Just a very thin layer of Hummus on the plate. Pity.

The slow cooked meat with pita bread was absolutely delicious. The pizza could have less garlicky taste.

Esh exceeded my expectations! We visited on Christmas Eve when most places were closed, and they serve some of the best Mediterranean food. Esh’s pita and hummus plate are strong competitors to my favourite pita place in Singapore, Miznon. The pita is soft, and the hummus with chicken is delicious. The portion is good for at least 2 pax. We also tried the pizza, fish ball, and falafel—everything was great! I love the cute logo and overall vibe. The prices are reasonable, and portions are large. The service is good, and the staff is attentive with a good sense of humor. They made our Christmas Eve dinner an enjoyable experience. If you’re near Museumplein, check it out! I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Amsterdam.

I can eat here every day! Completely addicted to the homemade hummus and pitas here. The gazoz is also a super tasty drink.

Great place with really delicious food.

What I liked about the place: very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and acoustics (easy to listen to your table-companions because the music played at a comfortable background-volume). Also the pita bread itself I really liked, fluffy and tasty! And the olive oil on top of the Labneh. What I think could be better: mainly the humus. And for a place like Esh I do find this a bit of a dealbreaker. There are many places in Amsterdam that sell horrible humus, Esh is not of them in my opinion, but it's also not on my list of places that have great Humus. Sr. Humus (situated a stone throw distance) for example, I think has much better humus. With great humus, I just can't stop eating, even when I my hunger has been stilled. The humus at Esh didn't do that for me. The Labneh I think should have come with za'tar sprinkled pita chips, instead of just another pita bread. Like I said, the pita bread is great, but I do like my starter to be a bit different than my main course. Also the labneh itself could've been tastier, it was a bit too liquid, I like it strained a little longer.

Fabulous. Fun and lively atmosphere, great food, and even a kids corner for the little ones. Well worth a trip if you can get a reservation.

Great experience! It was Friday evening and we were quite big group of friends, and they managed to fit us in without reservation. Food was absolutely amazing, good drinks. Lovely staff who made us feel welcomed.

Esh Pita Bar is a must-see. The experience was incredible, from the welcoming service to the explosion of flavors in each dish. The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the hummus – the best I’ve ever tried! Creamy, well seasoned and with an impeccable texture, it is the star of the menu. Furthermore, the food as a whole was extremely tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant and adds to the experience, with a relaxed vibe that matches the style of the restaurant perfectly. If you are looking for a place to enjoy authentic and well-prepared dishes, Esh Pita Bar is an excellent choice. I recommend it with my eyes closed!

Esh Pitabar is busy, and for good reason. Their food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comforting. The falafel pita was jam packed with ingredients and incredibly tasty. They also have a wonderful selection of beverages, alcoholic and non. A reservation is definitely key to make sure you can get a spot!

Food: we ordered esh experience with chicken. It’s really good. Many small dishes you can try , so it’s also interesting when u eat here. Service: we went there at 12:00 (open time). But full already. So we wait for bit time and then got our seat. And since many people inside, busy service but nice. If you go there, better to take a reservation before you go. Atmosphere: really trendy atmosphere, I am sure you can take many good photos here.

Best hummus in Europe, I tried a few but this was the best! If I lived in Amsterdam, I would go there regularly. The wait was a little too long, but luckily it was worth the wait and I was able to try the delicious hummus.

I can’t recommend this place enough, amazing food, always! The service is also great and everyone is very friendly. But the star of the show is the food, it’s simply amazing.

Medicore food. Home made Hummus but not very good, served plain with chicken. The pita content was not mixed properly, which meant a layer of chicken, layer of cabbage, and so on. And that's when it in the name. The labane is some mixed cream cheese with yoghurt. And to top it all, under cooked Falafel, just fried from the outside, gooie from the inside. Terrible. The chicken was ok. Very disappointing Israeli food. The vibes and service was very nice, but the food was plain and bland

Love the food! Definitely coming back. We didn’t have a reservation but they accommodated us - so kind. The food is delicious. We tried the Sabich, Slow cooked beef and a pizza. Super delicious.

I recently visited ESH Pita Bar, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely perfect—easy to find and right in the heart of the city. The vibe is both relaxed and lively, making it a great spot for any occasion, whether it’s a casual meal or a night out with friends. But of course, the highlight was the food. I truly enjoyed every bite from the menu. They even offer gluten free options.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is too far from my hometown. As a seasoned traveler (and fan) to and across my Soulcountry Israel, I would love to visit your restaurant! Especially after reading all the rave reviews. But what is not yet possible, the cliché applies: what is not yet can always come!! In other words, what is in the barrel does not sour. I am and will remain a traveler. A few years ago, I stood with both feet on the soil of Israel for the first time. What I felt at that time is something I have never experienced on my other trips. In short: it felt like I was standing on the soil of my motherland. This feeling, my soul, my soul had finally come home. That's why I went back 11 times. To get to know life a little; I spent months in various kibbutzim. I spoke to many people there who lived and worked there. And army reservists. I also traveled from North to South and East to West of Israel. Of course I was aware of the tensions in Israel. Nevertheless, I will always love their dishes. Or make them yourself almost every day. I will definitely visit your restaurant when I am in the area. Shalom

Informal pita restaurant. Good service, took a bit long but it was also very busy on a Saturday afternoon. We ate chicken and falafel plate and labneh. Delicious pita bread, hummus and labneh delicious as well as the fried eggplant. Just a lovely place to eat.

This place gets so many “bests” in our culinary world! Best pita- ever - checked Best falafel - not sure ever but one of the first 3 - checked Best pickles- checked Best humus with eggplants- big check We took the surprise menu ( including all the Eshpita experience)- a big WOW. Button line, we scheduled another visit here.

Some kind of mix of Arabic dishes and pizza? Interesting, but it was genuinely tasty. It's nice to sit inside and outside and the staff was nice. We tried the two red wine bottles, but unfortunately they were far too sweet in our opinion.

One of the best food which I ate in Amsterdam! I had a pizza and my partner had pita with kebab. I had no chance to take a picture of pita because we have finished it faster than I pick up my phone to take a photo! Pizza was totally different than typical American or Italian style and that was a great refreshing experience. Very friendly and fast staff!
