Pizzeria Magna in Dapperbuurt

I had dinner here, and the experience was disappointing. The pizza was correct but I’ve had much better in Amsterdam. I also found the extra mozzarella overpriced at €3.50 for a very small quantity. Service was the main issue. There was a 15-minute gap between the first and last pizza being served, so the first person had to eat cold food. One friend received the wrong pizza and was not offered a replacement. I also noticed a small fly on our table. Later, I saw the waiter cleaning another table and resetting it while placing the glasses upside down—the same side customers drink from. Worst of all, they refused to split the bill, even though it would have been a simple subtraction. As a result, one friend had to pay for the entire table. We don’t all have unlimited money, and I can’t imagine what would have happened if one person couldn't cover the full bill. The waiter was probably just lazy. Decent food, but terrible service. I will not be coming back.

Service was terrible, no check back, table next to us who got their mains after us had been cleared, deserts delivered and finished whilst our mains plates sat empty for over half a hour in front of us, when we finally called the waiter over he brought the bill without even asking us if we wanted any more drinks / deserts. There were only 4 other tables in so no excuse for lack of attention/service. As visitors to Amsterdam, we definitely felt like ‘the tourists’ and this shows with how the locals get served in comparison.

Top 5 pizza I have ever had. Diavola pizza (bottom) and margarita pizza (top) were both fantastic. Tremendous thin crust pizza in a laid-back atmosphere. Perfect place to meet with friends or a chill date spot when you’re both craving pizza.

We had a terrible experience at this place. Six of us booked a table in advance as we wanted to eat pizzas, we had cocktails elsewhere and reached this restaurant at appointed time. we ordered three pizzas and no drinks. They came back after we had waited for 10 minutes and said that they will not serve us as the order value was not high. We left the place with out any food! very disappointed with their approach!

Very nice little pizzeria. The pizza tastes great, the service is extremely friendly and helpful. The salad was well sorted and tasty. The prices are absolutely reasonable. We had a very nice evening here.. 😎

Poor experience. We called for a reservation of 6 people and since we had had drinks and bar snacks at Bar Bouche first, and my parents were both fasting that evening, we ordered 3 pizzas among the 4 of us and the result was that the chef / owner weirdly pointed out an index finger to us and asked us to leave if we were only ordering 3 pizzas. I explained that we were 4 of us eating and my parents were visiting and on a fast they only wanted to give us company while we ate, but he refused to serve us pizzas saying it is a ‘small’ order. I think the next time if they reserve a table for 6 they should probably ask the people before sitting that they need a minimum invoice of €150. Customer service negative. When my brother said he will stay here till the pizza comes since it’s a family outing and we were hungry at 8 pm, the chef got physical and started pushing us away. I mean.. what an appalling experience I had. Never recommend.

Offering blackened pizzas is bad and eating them is harmful. No excuses: 'comes from the oven'.

Small pizzeria with a fantastic beautiful pizza oven. Very basic inside with small square tables. Starter and pizzas tasted very tasty with a nice thin base. The four of us shared 2 starters and that was fine. The friendly ladies at the counter were not native Dutch, but they did speak it. You encounter this differently in Amsterdam at the moment. Great tent with food for a good price including water, Limoncello Spritz cocktail and bottle of excellent Pinot Grigio.

Nice and kind hosts! Quick and efficient service for a Sunday evening. Top pizzas and pastas, excellent Italian wine cellar. The only small flaw... the Capricciosa with smoked Prague ham doesn't go very well. Overall rating 9.

Nice and warm atmosphere. Amazing pizza, had the Siciliana and I could eat this pizza every day for the rest of my life. Authentic and delicious.

Probably among the best Neapolitan pizzas here in Amsterdam. Small but well set up place, welcoming atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. Fair prices and high quality pizza in my opinion 👍🏼 Not to mention the scarf and the photo of Maradona in the background, as a Napoli fan living in Amsterdam... it starts 1-0! Well done 🙏🏼

When getting out of tram to head to another restaurant for dinner, I was drawn to this place especially with a pizza. Great menu full of delicious options! Would visit again! Mortadella on pizza is a must 😋

Reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere! The music played however was loud and really not relaxing at all. Felt like we were trying to be kicked out. We were also abruptly told upon arrival (9.05pm) that they would be closing at 10, not so much as a hello. We felt rushed. But the pizza was delicious and the interior of the restaurant is cosy. Also €12 for a properly authentic Margherita is great in this city. However, don’t make the mistake we made with the truffle pizza and assume it comes with tomato (was still nice, but too dry for €18 with no sauce base) Main thing that let this place down for us was the service! But maybe if you are a regular they are nicer, as it seems family run and a pretty local place :)

I would dare to say this is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had - even comparing to some we had in Italy. Their ingredients are very fresh and the pizzas are well balanced. They have a fire oven which makes it all very tasty. Angelo is not only always very cheerful but also has impressive skills in preparing and baking the pizzas (I would suggest watching him as he carefully take care of pizzas being baked). I am glad that I live nearby and have the chance to go there to eat their pizza!

The service was great! Atmosphere is very cozy, the restaurant is small. The food was delicious, nice sized pizzas, fresh from a live cooking brick oven, only the portions of pasta were very small. But the taste was great!

Friendly arrival and good help from both gentlemen. Unfortunately, the lady at the counter didn't really feel like asking if the food was to our liking and if we wanted dessert. But the pizzas tasted great, very nice that they were baked in a fire-fired oven.

It's not what it was after Ciro. Staff nice. But they are no longer Italians. The pizzas are often burnt black :(

Delicious authentic Italian pizza

What a delicious pizza! Wonderfully thin with a beautiful rounded edge and straight from the wood oven. This is no bland hipster pizza but the real deal. Baked and served by a friendly team of Italians. Nice tent.

The pizza is delicious! We enjoyed it very much, but the sound of people chatting made me nervous while eating, and the atmosphere was not very comfortable.

We wanted to try here regarding very high review ratings but I think it’s very overrated. I ordered pasta with pesto and burrata but it was served very cold and I find the quality of pasta very low. The pizza was on average. There was only one waitress working so the service was very slow and our pizza served wrong so we waited even longer. At the end it was very kind gesture that they didn’t charge for the desert which was very delicious but I don’t recommend this place sincerely, there are much better Italian restaurants in Ams.

Always nice to come back to the guys at Magna The new location is remarkable and essentially well looked after The Neapolitan style pizza is excellent, nothing to add. I would highly recommend it even more Go on like this

OMG!!! Given that I'm Italian and pizza chef. I ordered a classic Napoletana pizza with Salsiccia and Friarielli to go. Wow! IT WAS SO GOOD THAT DIDN'T MAKE HOME 🤣 BEST PIZZA IN AMSTERDAM PERIOD!

Small but cozy atmosphere, arrive early or try to reserve. I noticed people not being able to get service because it was busy. I went on a Saturday, very good pizza, the Burrata is amazing.

The Neapolitan pizza was good, even though it took quite long to arrive but maybe it was busy because it was a Friday evening. They serve a limoncello tiramisu which didn’t taste as much as a regular tiramisu so was a bit disappointing.

Excellent dinner on the little terrace with 2 pizzas and Sardinian beers. The waitress, Afaf (please pronounce AfEf), is just super friendly, quick and attentive to details at the same time. Food was very good and the chef treated us with his home-made limoncello, which was just excellent as well! I'm just so glad of having encountered this little Italian restaurant, which surely will become my cantine!

Absolutely superb food. We were in a group of 10 including some children and everybody loved what they ordered. The staff were great with the children and very friendly. This isn't the biggest place and it's well tucked away, but it's definitely worth a visit if you are nearby (and even if you have to travel a bit!).

The best pizza I’ve had in Amsterdam! Perfect crisp crust and delicious sauce and toppings. They were also very friendly and had great service.

Quite the good Neapolitan pizzas here! The place itself is a bit small and grungy and old inside. Does not feel like the most exciting place to me. Not a very romantic place for a date unless you can secure one of their tables outside. Was very nice to eat there. Staff is super friendly. Helpful and smiling all the time. Nice vibe. Allowed us to swap some ingredients to make an interesting vegetarian version of the bianca pizza with burrata and pistache. Dough was good and fluffy. Pizza's were very tasty and that's how they looked as well. Important. Tiramisu came in a limoncello version which wasn't too bad, but hey, the people want cacao haha. Had a good time. Go check them out yourself!

The staff are so lovely and helpful!! The drinks are a bit expensive and I liked the pizza but the flavour was not my type much. I would go back specially because they treated us so well and the terrace was especially very cozy!

An absolute pearl in Amsterdam east! Very nice and hospitable guys running the place and the pizza tastes great. At the end of the day you will also catch some sun on the terrace outside. The Aperol Spritz also is very good with the right ratio aperol vs cava etc.

Kleiner Laden mit wenig Platz, dafür aber umso mehr Charme. Sehr gute und authentisch italienische Pizza. Super freundliche Bedienung. Italienischer Eistee war noch ein Pluspunkt. Die Pizza war einfach super lecker und perfekt zubereitet. Hier lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall vorbeizuschauen.

One of my missions in Amsterdam is to find the best pizza and honestly... this one has gotten the furtherst by now. Everything was extremely delicious and the service was really good and authentically Italian. Such a sweet gem in Oost. Can def recommend!

De pizza smaakt oké, niet heel lekker, maar ook niet erg slecht. Het bedrijf is van dezelfde eigenaar als het Thaise restaurant ernaast. De vegetarische pizza had een beetje een Thaise smaak. Verder ogen beiden zaken erg donker en hangt er hierdoor een schmutzige atmosfeer.

Very tiny place with nice food. The pizza is good and tasty although the center is just a little bit too thin and soggy (being a real critic). Nevertheless good pizza and reasonable prices, friendly service.

Best Italiano Risto I’ve been to in Amsterdam. The pizza was amazing with the perfect burn on the bottom of the pizza, the carbonara was perfect too. The atmosphere was great too, just a small and beautiful authentic restaurant next to the Dappermarkt. The Limoncello is hand made and tasted almost exactly like how my nonno makes it. Staff was very kind, so sweet and hard working too; we didn’t have to wait too long for our food at all. Think I have found my regular Italian restaurant. Grazie mille, il vostro cibo mi fa sentire a casa.
