We had another delicious meal, the pizza of the month was delicious as well as the new dessert: cheesecake.

We regularly eat at the Pizza Project and the food was, as always, delicious and what lovely staff.

Pizza is soupy. Service is not great. No one takes pride in their work here.

We went for dinner after reading positive reviews on social media, but we were utterly disappointed. The pizza was half-burned and limp, and the fior de latte on the pepperoni pizza tasted too animalic. We weren't even asked once if everything was to our liking, so the service wasn't great either.

This is my favorite pizza place in Amsterdam. The Spicy Honey pizza is my absolute favorite! Dough is chewy, and even the crust is soft and delicious, not hard like in many other places. So, I can enjoy every bite until the very end. On top of that, the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended :)

I don't understand the hype... The pizza was limp and lacked any flavor. The prosciutto tasted cheap... All in all, I won't be returning.

Small pizza place just outside the city center. We were able to get there without a reservation and got a table. After a moment of taking our order, it was super quick. The server spoke German, and we were able to chat for a bit. Very friendly staff, and the pizza was incredibly good. We sat outside on the sidewalk for a bit, but since bikes have their own bike lane, that was fine.

Delicious pizza, could have been in the oven a bit longer. Service could have been better, wrong table, and they had to clear the table while someone else was still eating.

We hadn’t booked a table but got shown to a table inside immediately, then moved to an outside table once one became available. The restaurant was great, with very friendly staff and delicious pizzas. The menu had a wide range of pizzas, with plenty of them vegetarian.

What a fantastic place: delicious pizza, helpful service, and outdoor seating. Pleasantly surprised! The wines are fine, not great. The red wine could definitely be served cooler! But hey, the focus is on the pizza. 5 stars!

Delicious pizza, friendly and attentive service but paying close to €4 for Coca Cola and only receiving a small 200ml bottle instead of the usual 330ml in every restaurant I’ve ever been to is a sad tactic. Not the fault of the friendly staff, purely a poor business decision from owners.

Absolutely love this place! The food is incredibly delicious — some of the best pizza we’ve had. The team is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It’s definitely our favorite spot in De Pijp. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a warm atmosphere!

The by far best Pizza i've ever eaten in 50 Years of Life. My Wive and the Kids also love it. The Nduja is so phantastic, also the Prosciutto-Parmesan & Rocket. Not only the best Pizza of Amsterdam, probably one of the best Pizza in Europe, including Italy. Guys, you're the Number One.

Came across this place while visiting another restaurant in the neighbourhood. Looking at the crowd, I really wanted to check out the place. The Garlic bread is out of this world. Really cheesy & garlicky. The service from the staff is awesome and they are quite interactive. Loved the joint.

Authentic Neapolitan pizzas. The menu was small, with only a handful of specialties—always a good sign! The grilled vegetables at the Norma had a light BBQ flavor, truly delicious. It was also great that they came with scissors instead of the mess of using a knife and fork. It also has a cozy terrace.

This place was walking distance from our hotel and in a nice neighborhood. It was hot (35 Celsius). Despite the heat, they were buzzing. Servers were very helpful and accommodating. We did not have a reservation (recommend) and they made it work for us. Ordered a burrata salad, pizza, and some bruschetta. A little different for us to have scissors to cut the pizza. All we had was so good. Highly recommend checking this place out

Atmosphere was nice and staff was very friendly 💕 We had 5 cheese, Napoli with anchovies, and mushroom truffle pizza’s For my taste anchovies were a way salty, mushrooms were just put on oven so they weren’t friend or smth (didn’t have any taste) and 5 cheese was good

Very very tasty pizza, really. Big compliments on the taste, but I was quite disappointed with the size. The pizza is smaller that the average. The service wasn’t great - I tried to order my second drink for an hour and the waiter never came. We ordered a salad that also never came. Would I come back here? Probably, the taste was good.

Looks like this is not the first service issue they had. We ordered our pizza and also polpetta and bruschetta and specially and explicitly said we do not want to have starter and main etc, and wait instead we would like to have whatever is ready, and the lady serving us asked again because the meatballs are taking long, and we confirmed again that we do not want to wait, we can have first pizza and then polpetta. We waited 40 mins and then saw that they were bringing pizza to the table behind us, that sat down 10 mins ago. In the meantime another server or the manager came and said, our pizzas were being done and will come in a few minutes. But after seeing they serve to the other table who came much later then us, I went in, and actually they were discussing our orders, and indeed they did not do our pizza but waited for polpetta. And when I complained about it, the reply of the server was that they can cancel the order. I was there with my 2 kids, rushing so I can take them back home early, and already waited 40 mins and the solution was - “we can cancel”. Then they brought the pizzas a few mins later and offered us free drinks, and said the girl serving us was new and 16 years old, which is not my problem(!), and it was already too late for trying to make up the situation.

Started out with good vibes and appetizers and ended with 1h wait on pizza’s. Garlic bread is mostly cheese, you can almost call it a margarita pizza. The meatballs were actually good and worth the wait. Was really excited for the main dish aka the pizza’s. After 1h of waiting and seeing tables that came wayyy later than us getting their pizza sooner than ours… was kinda sad. They had to wait maybe 20 minutes. We asked them about our pizza’s after 35 min of waiting and they told us it would be another 10-15 minutes or so. Well they came… soggy pepperoni & honey and plain prosciutto. After one hour of waiting I didnt feel like asking for anything else. The bill came and no questions about how we felt about the night or the food. Service was mid considering the place isnt even big. Kinda disappointed.

Waited 50 min for a pizza, they probably forgot. Then rushed a soggy pizza (falling apart) in 5 minutes. Bad experience.

I visited Pizza Project in Amsterdam with my family and can honestly say it was one of the best pizza experiences we've ever had. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel right at home. Special thanks to Bas and Alon, who went above and beyond to look after us. Their hospitality, knowledge of the menu, and genuine warmth truly elevated our evening. The burrata pizza was mind-blowing—perfectly crispy crust, incredibly fresh ingredients, and that creamy burrata just melted into every bite. We also had the bruschetta, which was so vibrant and flavorful. However, the star of the show was the chili oil which is a must try when visiting this branch! Will definitely come back!

Delicious pizzas in a relaxed, family atmosphere. The friendly service tries to please everyone.

The waiter was extremely quick and polite about taking our order and made a special exception since we don't eat that much. The pizza and spicy olive oil were exceptional and the quality of the pizza was outstanding and the price was not substantial but they didn't comprise in any way.

A small place with good pizza and excellent service. They provide scissors with each pizza, which makes it really easy to cut – very convenient! I really enjoyed the anchovy pizza. The ice cream, both vanilla and lemon is also really delicious. To reserve a table for a group larger than 3 people, you need to pay a deposit of €10 per person.

Great pizza, highly recommended!

No crispy pizza dough, but a sticky white bread bite. Edges were not cooked but like a bite of a sticky soft white bread in your mouth. But partly burnt black on the edges. Very unhealthy!! The base was wet and sticky. Too much tasteless cheese and too little unseasoned tomato sauce. We had a Napoli, too few anchovies, olives and capers. In short, our advice: go to a real Italian pizzeria and not to this white bread baker. Service was friendly and quick, but it was also very quiet. The owner responded as follows: It is true that we make Neapolitan pizza, which is characterized by airiness and a slightly burnt (called leopard crust) crust. It is also characterized by using the best ingredients (such as San Marzano tomato sauce) without adding too many herbs. This is of course on our website Nevertheless, we do everything to create beautiful memories, sorry that this did not work in this case! A 1 star review affects us as a small family restaurant, of course, so I would like to discuss how we can possibly offer compensation. It would be great if you could respond to your review. The dough is not what we understand as pizza dough. But it is also strange that the edge had larger round (really) black burnt spots and it still tasted sticky and undercooked in the mouth, not airy. And the base was soggy when the pizza was put down. And our pizzas were served immediately and were hot. Furthermore, the menu states that the pizza is salty... Great we thought, but there were too few anchovies for that and the olives were not salty. The distribution of the capers and olives could also be better. Layers together, not divided and unequal in quantity on both Napoli pizzas. So.... it is not an option for us to eat with you again. Nor are we looking for another compensation. But thanks for the offer. Perhaps you can do something with this, because I think it can be better! Grt Ronald

I always used to go to the West location. Now moved to south and tried this location for the first time, nothing short of the West location. Service was very good, had a few kids with us, they were very helpful, flexible and attentive.

Pizza take away experience was downright bad. Ordered pizza margarita with ham and mushrooms and pizza with bell pepper and burrito. There was not a single piece of ham on the pizza. Very soggy, limp. Also the bell pepper cooked to mush was very disappointing. Will never come back.

Disgusting is all I can say for this, Rushed our food we waited about 20 minutes for a waiter to come and ask us what our order was, we then asked for our garlic bread first and then pizza but because they took so long to come to us in the first place….the time was nearly time for the restaurant to close so instead they brought out our pizza first and then we said what about our garlic pizza she then brought it out, now the pizza was absolutely disgusting most soggiest pizza I’ve ever ate in my whole life! As you can see in the pictures not great!

Bruschetta was perfect. Unfortunately pizza was a bit too burnt. Tiramisu a little too much coffee, but still delicious.

A true taste experience at Pizza Project! The smell of fresh dough greets you upon entering, and the atmosphere is warm, intimate and stylish – perfect for a date night (see photos!). The pizzas are sublime: airy, crispy crust and toppings that are perfectly balanced. We enjoyed the Spicy Honey and the Mortadella pizza – wow. Super friendly service and delicious Birra Moretti. And yes… we even got scissors to cut our pizza ourselves – so nice! An evening to remember.

I love the pizza at Pizza Project! The base is so fluffy, and I find the dough exactly how it should be. Everything is made from fresh ingredients and the chefs are also Italian - it’s as authentic as it gets! Can’t wait to go back.

Just a very cozy and casual atmosphere. Food is good and well prepared. Normal prices. Good location, chill service and whether you just have a drink or an extensive meal, it's all fine here. Restaurant in the atmosphere of the café on the corner.

Were here with a group. It was super cozy, good atmosphere and fast service. This time the food was a little less tasty. The pizzas served had pieces (burned too black) on the bottom, which did not improve the taste.

We really enjoyed the pizzas here. Tomas catered to our special requirement and arranged a gluten free marinara pizza. Will highly recommend this place and we will be coming back

Im a very big fan of the mortadella & pistachio pizza, and it was very very goooood here! The other two pizzas we had , especially their roasted bell pepper pizza were great too. Another honourable mention is tiramisu, that was extremely creamy and tender, amazing end of a delicious meal

Had dinner at Pizza Planet tonight, and it was a fantastic experience. The sourdough pizza with a thin crust was absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the hospitality. Even though it was busy, the staff remained incredibly friendly and attentive. Our server, Alon, made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, almost like an older brother—as if we were regulars. I work in hospitality myself, and his level of service was so impressive that it inspired me to serve my own guests the same way. The rest of the team was just as warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. If I lived nearby, I’d be coming here every week. Highly recommended!

A happening pizza joint in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. We had 6:15 reservations, and the restaurant was packed inside; we were seated outside near heat lamps. Thankfully, the weather was mild the day we went, which allowed us to enjoy our dinner outside. However, the tables outside were just as packed together as the tables inside. We ordered garlic bread and three pizzas to share among four people. This was plenty of food. The garlic bread is made on a pizza crust and is topped with fresh garlic and cheese. Now, this is called fresh garlic bread! The pizzas are Neapolitan style, thin throughout with a thick crust. Simply put, the pizzas are delicious and totally worth the wait or eating outside. This is a very busy place, so patience is required. The staff is friendly.

Strangely it seems my review was deleted. The overall experience was good. Table reserved was ready on time and service was good with friendly and attentive staff. Food was hit or miss. Some food was amazing such as the garlic bread appetizer and the mortadela pizza. Others such as the pizza of the month were bland with almost no flavor. The amazing dough made it all very delicious and enjoyable. My only complain is that most of our food was cold. Seems they hold pizzas that are finished to make sure everything is ready before it's brought to the table. Unfortunately this means some of us had cold food even while eating inside the restaurant and not in the terrace. This needs to be solved or food must come out in order is completed.

This place deserves more than 5 stars! We are often coming back whenever we want to eat Neapolitan pizza. What makes this pizza outstanding is their homemade dough, it's fluffy and very fresh. Pizzas are baked in wood burning oven. Super friendly staff & ofcourse best pizza chefs. Recommended!

A great atmosphere with great pizza. small location so reservations are absolutely necessary. Even with reservations, there has been a wait to be seated (up to 10 minutes). Plan ahead, and enjoy the delicious pizza

Stopped in for a quick dinner. The pizza was delicious and the tomato/burrata was fresh. They were very accommodating of our toddlers and the staff was upbeat and kind. We enjoyed watching the pizzas come out of the oven and loved the cozy atmosphere.

We phoned the Wilhelminastraat Pizza Project by mistake, however Riccardo found us a place for 4 people on the spot despite the restaurant being very busy. Very great service and amazing pizza 🍕 !

I usually don't give 5 stars, but I highly recommend this place! 1. The pizza is probably made with sour dough. Maybe it's because I really like sour dough, but it's really chewy and delicious! There is olive oil and chili oil on each table, and the chili oil is spicy haha, but the olive oil has a nice scent, probably because it is good quality, and it is so delicious that you really want to take it with you! And I had the lemon sorbet there, and since it's lemon, it has a sour and slightly dry taste, but the lemon sorbet here is refreshing and has a smooth finish! Totally recommend!!!! 2. I wasn't very hungry that day, so I ordered kids' size, but honestly, there wasn't much difference from the basic size. If you are short, kids size is enough! (I'm not a news person, but I ended up leaving some behind.) 3. The service is really good too! They were so friendly and didn't even notice, so I ate comfortably! 4. The slightly dim lighting, like a bar, creates a cozy atmosphere. When I went, there were quite a few people with children.

I celebrated my birthday at your venue and paid the fee to bring my own cake. Unfortunately, a staff member dropped part of the cake and responded with just a brief “sorry” and a laugh. I expected the cake fee to be waived as a gesture. The atmosphere was great, the food was good, and my wife’s dietary needs were well accommodated, but this incident negatively influenced the whole experience.

Yesterday we made a reservation at Pizza Project on the Maasstraat. When we entered, our name was nicely written on a card for the table. I thought that was a personal entrance. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and, despite the bustle, good acoustics. We had the antipasti with a pizza to share, very tasty! I am a fan of Neapolitan Pizzas and I have never eaten them so well in Amsterdam before. Recommended!

Great pizzeria! The pizza is very tasty, the dough is thin, there are a lot of toppings. The pizza "Mortadella and pistachios" is just a culinary masterpiece. Too soggy crust to thin Pizzacrust. Got a takeaway. Had to scoup it with a spoon out of the box.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! Fantastic range of pizzas (including vegan & veggie). Staff were super friendly and accommodating to us on a very busy Friday night. The place had such a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
