Familia Tapas Restaurant/Brasserie in Wijk 00 Centrum

Walked into Familia after a day of shopping in Maastricht. At first we couldn't choose between the many dishes ourselves, so the waitress suggested to put together the first round for us and then we could decide for ourselves afterwards, which was nice. When there is a lot of choice in a restaurant, I am always skeptical that it cannot all be fresh and delicious, but here we had a surprisingly tasty meal, very good chef. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely come back.

Really disappointed, small portions and not great food (the squid was overcooked and almost burnt). Bad value for money. Friendly service though

No salt pepper and balsamico on the table. Bruschetta can be better. I smelled old oil on the croquettes. Overall ok.

Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience at La Familia in Maastricht. We wanted to pay here with our Dinner Gift card, but this was refused because we used the online voucher instead of a physical card. This is said to be their policy, but this information is not stated anywhere, neither on their website nor at Diner Cadeau itself. The staff showed a photo on their phone as “proof”, but this was not reflected in the official information. We have even made a video of their website that clearly shows that there is nothing stated about the mandatory physical presentation of the gift card. It is a shame that communication is so unclear and that we ended up in an uncomfortable situation. This could easily have been prevented with better information provision. So not worth repeating for us!

If you're hungry, move on. The quantities are tiny and the taste is very basic. We're leaving here hungry as hell! I advise against it.

Nice and cozy Tapas restaurant with tasty tapas.

We ordered the pimientos de padron. This turned out to contain a jalapeno that my friend had already taken a big bite of. This was very annoying and painful. The sharp pepper brought tears to his eyes. When we explained what had happened to the waitress, she gave us a glass of milk. That was nice. However, we were no longer looked after and ignored. No apologies, no questions about how things went, nothing. We decided not to eat here any further. When paying, they again looked grumpy and said nothing. We had to indicate that we did not intend to pay for the pimientos. Very poor service.

Very nice restaurant in the center of Maastricht. The tapas are delicious and the menu is varied. They also have delicious matching wines. The service is friendly and the place is very nicely decorated. I will definitely come by more often!

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, friendly staff.

We LOVED Familia. We didn’t make a reservation and were hesitant about a bar seat, but that turned out to be a great place to eat. Seats were comfortable, staff was polite and we felt seen and comforted. Food was excellent. Wine was good. The only thing we didn’t like was the bruschetta. They use way too much union.

My sirloin steak consisted largely of tendons. When I reported it to the waiter I was told, "That's possible with a sirloin steak" and that was the end of it. Arrogant and unfriendly staff. Waste of money.

Great restaurant, good food but not the whow factor for me but definitely worth it. I really thought the bruscetta was the bread that was the least bit too hard, it doesn't resemble that of other tapas bars, which is a shame because the tomatoes that were served separately were tasty. I liked the peppers better than the chorizo ​​croquettes. The red wine was also delicious. Nice, cozy decorated place

Great food, service was also good. The restaurant was not that busy. The decoration is cosy. This restaurant is all round quite good but i missed the wow factor. When near this is a great solution but i wouldnt go specifically out of the way to go here.

Yesterday we were there at age 4. Then my husband and I left early after paying a 330 euro bill. when our 2 friends who stayed until later were approached by a male bank because according to him we had not paid. 2 things went wrong: - not knowing when a customer has paid - the bad and rude approach of this young one. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant anymore Don't go to this restaurant. the waiters can be quite amateurs and they can accuse you of not paying although you have already paid.

Had a lovely meal for two, a cozy place with a nice decor and atmosphere. Friendly service and an extensive menu. The prices are indeed a bit on the higher side, but this business and the hardworking people are certainly worth it. A good choice to eat here!

We came here through a social deal. Nice place, beautiful interior with an eye for detail. Service very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, the vitello was at the right temperature and tasty and the sea bream was well cooked, with a nice and generous garnish. Looking at the menu I see a wide variety but also high prices. However, that is the case everywhere, certainly not just here. The total experience was downright positive without any unpleasant or downsides. In short, I think this is highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the pork tenderloin with dried tomatoes was very dry. Shame.

Quite fresh in the shop and you should definitely not go there for lactose-free products (no alternative) And if you reserve through a deal, what you get is really minimal And the toilet is really dirty, it is full of old dusty cobwebs and you can write on the black glossy tiles

The interior is dark but the terrace in summer takes you on a journey! Not to mention the cuisine which is excellent!

Charming tapas bar on a quiet side street. We recommend . Ambiance is very pleasant with quiet background music and dimmed lights. Service very attentive, food plentiful and tasty. Prices reasonable. Everything is great 🙂

Not special, vegetables were not fried long enough, boquerones could be crispier. ice cream from Sligro and too many crystals. Quite high price. Atmosphere meh. A bit in the style of la Cubanita.

My son had dinner there with his girlfriend, they had 2 Dinner gift vouchers and were only allowed to hand in 1 voucher at checkout. This condition is not clearly stated anywhere and the site states that they simply accept dinner gift vouchers. I contacted the publisher of the Diner gift voucher and they indicated that it is possible to submit multiple vouchers to a restaurant at the same time. So Restaurant Familia sets their own rules. Whether 1 voucher of 75 euros is accepted or 3 of 25 euros should make no difference. They call that abusing the situation. Very customer unfriendly. Definitely won't go back and certainly won't recommend it!

Drinks menu and pricing are good. Service is great. Ambience is very nice. The food however was disappointing. Every dish seems to be a minimum of 9 euros each and up from there , even for some bread, 2 small croquettes or a few fried potatoes.

Jammer dat de kok de kruiden weggegooid heeft. Alles was flauw en zonder smaak. De pappardelle was zeer teleurstellend. Geen truffelsmaak en een waterig sausje met weinig paddestoelen. Prijs /kwaliteit absoluut niet in balans.

Die Tapas -Bar liegt etwas versteckt,man muss sie kennen oder entdecken. Innen ist sie super gemütlich eingerichtet,ob an Hochtischen, oder mit normalen Sitzgelegenheiten.Wir wurden extrem aufmerksam und freundlich bedient.Die Speisekarte bietet die klassische Tapasauswahl, aber auch normale Hauptgerichte.Alles,was wir probiert haben,war qualitativ richtig lecker.Auch der Wein war Klasse. Preislich war es kein Schnapper,aber das Gesamtpaket war es das wert Wir hatten hier einen schönen Abend .

Lekker maar basic eten. De bediening is vriendelijk en de locatie ziet er sfeervol uit. De prijs is oké voor wat je krijgt.

Prima restaurant om zowel je lunch als je diner te gebruiken. De geserveerde gerechten waren verrukkelijk bereid. De bediening was vriendelijk. De prijzen zijn pittig, maar helemaal goed in verhouding met de kwaliteit. Dit restaurant is echt een aanrader.

Nebenstraße, daher preislich moderat bis gut. Das typische Flair bleibt trotzdem erhalten, was zum Draußensitzen einlädt. Es gibt eine überschaubare Anzahl an Tapas, aber die sind dafür wirklich lecker. Vor allem die Aioli Soße ist top und würzig. Wer Kleinigkeiten zum Teilen möchte, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Die Toiletten sind auch sauber.

Cadre cosy, accueil sympathique, dans une jolie petite ruelle. Par contre tapas bof bof, sardines présentées dans leur boîte, chorizo industriel, poulpe version chewing- gum, rien de "fait maison" nous ne reviendrons pas. Amateurs de bons plats , passez votre chemin !!!! 2 verres de vins chacun et quelques tapas 62 euros pour 2. Ça ne les vaut pas.

After seeing a 4.2 score here, we expected more. The place is cute, but the food was mostly frozen and nothing special (nothing worse than saggy calamares). We asked for tap water but were charged for it (2.95 for 2 glasses), same goes for the bread (which to me sounds really strange when you're serving saucy meatballs). No soap in the toilets. I'm sure there's better places in Maastricht.

Essen und Service waren sehr gut. Die Preise sind ein wenig hoch. Die Stühle an den Hochtischen sind zu niedrig.

Tappas waren nett angerichtet und sehr lecker. Preis angemessen.

Gezellig restaurant met heerlijke gerechten en vriendelijk personeel. Ondanks dat we Social Deals hadden, was het een feest om hier te eten.
