We made a reservation at Van Buuren for New Year's Eve dinner with friends on New Year's Eve. It was a very pleasant evening, super friendly and helpful staff, the food was very good and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommended!!!

It was bitterly cold. But warm blankets, heaters, mulled wine and hot chocolate warmed us up again. The waiter was quick, nice and accommodating. Very nice drink in a great place

Very cozy restaurant on Onze dear Vrouwenplein. Were with a large group, sat upstairs, the service was friendly, patient and fast. The food was delicious, definitely recommended.

Leuke zaak voor goed en makkelijk een hapje te eten. Personeel heel vriendelijk en attent. Enige minpuntje was de kou die steeds binnenkwam ivm bediening buiten. Is lastig te voorkomen

Wij waren hier voor de tweede keer en hebben weer geweldig genoten. Als je binnen komt, is het net of je thuis komt. Voortreffelijk eten, veel variatie en gezelligheid. Wij hebben inmiddels weer voor volgend jaar gereserveerd. Hartelijk dank allen voor weer voor twee leuke avonden en het lekkere eten.

Really unimpressed with this restaurant. It took over an hour for us to get our food which itself pretty good after the long wait. I’m really disappointed as the staff was condescending to us. We ordered tap water along with a drink, appetizer, and two meals and our waiter told us normally the staff wouldn’t be happy with us ordering just tap water but luckily they were making enough money that night that it was okay (his literal words) It came off very condescending and like we weren’t spending enough at the restaurant. I felt like he was suggesting we couldn’t afford to eat there. If ordering tap water is an issue they could have charged us for a bottle of water but that was never suggested as an option we were just told it’s an issue to order tap water. I was excited to try this resteraunt but the condescending staff and inappropriate comments that were made ruined the place for me. Would not recommend.

A lovely place for something to eat in Maastricht! The food was great and at a great price. However, the building is relatively small, and it seems as if the staff wants to fit as many people as possible in one room, while this is not very convenient. This gives a rushed and crammed feeling. The next customers are not yet waiting at your table before departure. This is a minus. Once again, the food was very tasty!

Wat een ontvangst door Audrey!!!!!!! Zonder gereserveerd te hebben gingen wij met 4 bewoners waarvan 2 rolstoelen en 4 begeleiders spontaan lunchen bij Van Buuren! Ik was sprakeloos hoe Audrey alles tot in de puntjes verzorgde! Alles kon, alles liep perfect! Chapeau Audrey, dit verdien jij!

Personeel en eten 10/10 goed bediend en top gegeten leuke ligging. Prijs kwaliteitsverhouding was top, niet lang hoeven wachten op ons eten. Al bij al top👍

I can only recommend the restaurant. We ate very well there and the price-performance ratio was right.

Onvriendelijk peesoneel. We vroegen of er nog een tafeltje vrij was. Nog voor we uitgesproken waren zei ober op een arrogante toon. Nee. Naar de buren de Lanteern gegaan waar voornamelijk studenten in de bediening zijn. Veel beter en vriendelijker dan een arrogante vastgeroeste ober.

I had an excellent meal here, not special but certainly not bad either. However, I was very disturbed by one of the employees who publicly insulted one of his (as I understood) new colleagues. He was extremely dissatisfied with his colleague and made this clear to him, he also made it clear to the guests that he was not happy with his colleague. I fully understand that you can expect your colleagues to do their work properly, but the way this person did this was extremely unfriendly and unpleasant to see. Then do that in private. It gives an unsympathetic appearance and makes me want to sit somewhere else next time.

Nice restaurant on the beautiful Lieve Vrouwenplein. Very nice, friendly staff who pay close attention to whether everything is going as it should. Dishes are beautifully presented, very tasty, more than enough. No cuts are made (which you see a lot these days: fries, vegetables, bread separately and pay extra). Vegetarians can enjoy a very tasty meal here, where many restaurants easily do away with a vegetarian schnitzel, here you get a fresh, tasty dish. Callebaut tart (no dough, but chocolate) is highly recommended. Busy place and that's not surprising. Everything fresh and of good quality. Recommended!

Good place to eat for people with "Celiac Disease" Gluten Intolerance. Always call in advance so they can prepare. The chef and staff were well informed. And despite the small kitchen, everything was taken into account as best as possible. The cheerful wait staff took their time with us and we were served politely with a smile and a joke. ;D Nice cheerful atmosphere. Just a very nice café in the heart of Maastricht. Really worth it.

Had a very nice afternoon. We were with a large group; 24 people. The space was fine on the 1st floor. The lunch, pie & drinks were delicious. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful to stay there.

Great place to sit in Maastricht

Nice place, don't get me wrong. But the service? Naaah. We were two people seated, and were waiting for one more. So we needed an extra chair. It was busy, yes. So when the 3rd person arrived asked one waitress for a chair. The waitress directed her to one of her colleagues. Her colleague told my friend and I quote "it's your problem, so you need to ask around and find one".

Het ligt geweldig, maar ik ga er nooit meer naar toe. De lunch bestond uit soep en een broodje. De soep was lauw en het enorme broodje was karig belegd. De zeer jonge bediening deed echt hun best maar hun baas (?) was onaardig en weinig gastvrij.

What a nice place in Maastricht! In any case, Onze Lieve Vrouwenplein is very cool, especially in the summer! We had a delicious meal here. What struck me was the pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant among the waiters. They radiate that they really enjoy making their guests happy. Once again we had a delicious meal and went back the next day for a cup of coffee on the heated terrace. They recognized us, which indicates that they really care about their guests. Very nice place to eat and we will definitely come back here again!

Very nice and attentive staff. If you sit right next to the café, you can watch the street life. There are also many tables to sit in the middle of the square. The waitresses are very friendly and delight the guests with their open manner.

On Saturday evening we spontaneously got a table for two without waiting. This was followed by quick service and good food. Everything fine.

Have eaten their twice now once 2019 and 2024 now again and I absoluteley love their maastricht stew. But careful its very sweet.

Excellent resto à prix respectables. Nous avons été à la base pour manger un petit snack et avons fini par prendre un plat (et un dessert pour ma part). Très bien servi, mon compagnon a pris le ragoût (un genre de Carbonnades pour les Belges) délicieux et moi le poisson en croûte d'herbes excellent également (cuit à la perfection pour moi). J'ai pris le cheesecake caramel beurre salé en dessert et je ne regrette pas non plus ! De plus, accueil impeccable. Un sans faute pour nous.

Hello, I sat outdoor and it was very crowded( Sunday), the service despite being busy is impressively quick, i had burger, the buns were fantastic and the patty was thick and the taste was good, the French fries came with it were very crispy and cold, I liked the burger which was the star of the party, i hope you guys like it as well.

Het eten was redelijk, we zaten buiten onder de parasols op een redelijk zonnige dag. Op een gegeven moment komt er een jongeman vertellen dat hij de parasol dicht komt maken. We vroegen waarom? En toen kregen we een erg onvriendelijk antwoord. En vroeg hij terug waarom niet? Ik zeg omdat we graag onder de parasol willen eten. En toen zei hij “oké” met een asociaal toontje. Ik denk oké het zal wel. Vervolgens kregen we steeds boze blikken en ging mijn vriendin even later naar de wc en hoort ze letterlijk de betreffende roodharige jonge man zeer vervelend over ons praten en met een negatieve toon tegen zijn collega’s. We stonden perplex en begrijpen het dan ook niet. We voelden ons er niet welkom en we komen dan ook niet meer terug. Een beetje normaal doen is nog teveel gevraagd. En trouwens de uiensoep smaakte meer naar tijm dan naar uien.

The food was fine, we sat outside under the umbrellas on a fairly sunny day. At one point a young man comes to say that he is coming to close the parasol. We asked why? And then we got a very unfriendly answer. And he asked back why not? I say because we like to eat under the parasol. And then he said “okay” with an antisocial tone. I think okay it will. Then we kept getting angry looks and a little later my girlfriend went to the toilet and she literally heard the red-haired young man in question talking about us very annoyingly and in a negative tone to his colleagues. We were perplexed and didn't understand it. We did not feel welcome there and we will not return. Acting normal is still too much to ask. Shame. And the onion soup tasted more like thyme than onions.

I chose tuna carpaccio and steak. The sauce was quite delicious. It's a little pricey, but considering the service, it's not a loss at all.

Cozy and familiar lunch spot. The food is tasty and fairly priced, comes quickly and the portions are a good size. Sitting inside may feel a little rushed as many of the staff run in and out of the restaurant to the very large outdoor area, which always seemed a bit crowded. Overall staff is attentive, speaks English too and is very friendly.

Had a great meal here! The staff is very friendly and helpful if you have allergies. The steak is super tender and has a lot of flavor. Sour meat is also tender and delicious.

Super cozy terrace, you will always be helped quickly even when it is completely full. Very nice and pleasant employees. This is the best bar in the Netherlands. Good food and good drinks, but not for an exorbitant price.

In summer you can sit outside in this beautiful restaurant in a wonderful square in the middle of Maastricht. The inside of the restaurant is also very attractively decorated and the sanitary facilities are top. We had a stopover in Maastricht on the way back from the North Sea and only had a little something to eat. But these were very tasty and freshly prepared. The staff was super friendly and attentive and noticed straight away when a drink had run out. Simply wonderful to sit here in the middle of the life of Maastricht and enjoy the time. This is undoubtedly possible here.

sfeervolle lokatie, we konden buiten zitten, bediening was snel en goed, kwaliteit eten prima en goede prijs- kwaliteitsverhouding, aantrekkelijk gepresenteerd, lekkere verse frites maar minpuntje is het absurd kleine kommetje wat we kregen voor 3 personen. Dat was teleurstellend, past niet bij dit prijsniveau. Daarom geen 5 sterren. Maar ondanks dat goed gegeten, dus toch een aanrader.

That’s an excellent place located behind the church with seating options on the square. We were sitting inside which is just as great as the glass doors were open. The food was delicious tool. I enjoyed the variety of beers that they offered. Great experience.

Excellent meal. Very friendly staff and very skilled. I was just surprised, because you don't come across this level very often anymore. Food tasted excellent and was beautifully served. The kids also received a drawing and pencils to play with and a surprise when they finished their plate. Very nice! My compliments!
