We had another delicious meal today. We had pasta alla gnonovese, a truly typical Neapolitan dish, delicious. Thanks to the chef!

This place was absolutely not worth it. A terrible experience from start to finish. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, no one bothered to seat us. The chairs were dirty, and I had to change my own seat. At our table, 3 out of 4 glasses were dirty, there was no cutlery, and even basic water service was provided only after reminding the staff twice. The staff’s behavior was unacceptable—rude, unprofessional, and completely unwelcoming throughout the visit. The food only made things worse. The pizza was bad and clearly not worth the price. When I asked for ketchup, I was charged without being informed in advance, which felt misleading. On top of that, we were charged for tap water that we never asked for. Poor hygiene, poor service, rude staff, and disappointing food. A complete waste of time and money. I will not return and strongly advise others to avoid this place.

I ordered pasta with shrimp. It was disgusting, strong-flavored, and not very tasty. The shrimp had entrails, so they hadn't been cleaned. We had to wait in line to get a table, even though there were free tables. The staff were neither friendly nor professional. First and last time.

I'm giving the food 4 stars. The gnocchi and pizza were delicious. But I definitely won't be back. The atmosphere is entirely due to the restaurant's decor. It took fifteen minutes for someone to come and take a drink order. If you try to order something from someone, the thin white man with glasses acts like you don't exist. He doesn't look at you and is rude. He's incredibly grumpy and prefers to live without customers. Everything was a mess. No one speaks Dutch. The dark-skinned women serving drinks are friendly, but incredibly slow.

Great food and nice atmosphere, only something needs to be done with the service staff

The sevice was horrible. First they didn't take our order for more than 30 minutes, but it wasn't that busy. Then they brought the wrong order, and for example my Caesar salad didn't even have any cheese! My friends order was messed up the most. She ordered salmon, and she was brought a potato dish. No one regave us the correct meal. Do not recommend this resteraunt at all.thwte are better options.

I'd only recommend the pizza. I had the shrimp pasta, which only had three small shrimp in it. The other pasta dishes are also really nothing special and have few ingredients.

September 2025 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious pizza & great atmosphere – definitely recommended! This was our first visit to Westfield Mall. After a long shopping trip, we were really hungry and went to the food theater area. The selection there is large, and we were a bit overwhelmed at first. After a quick browse, we finally decided on Farinella. Admittedly, the Google reviews made us a bit skeptical at first. But the pictures of the pizzas simply looked too good, and the restaurant itself seemed very inviting. And since I love pizza – especially Neapolitan – the decision was made. We were not disappointed: The atmosphere is really nice, the decor is very harmonious, and the service was young, friendly, and attentive. We ordered a "Pizza Diavolo" and a "Pizza Fritta." Both arrived quickly, were baked by a true Italian, and tasted simply fantastic – just as you'd expect from a good Neapolitan pizza. To finish, we had a cappuccino, which was also delicious. We therefore can't confirm the negative reviews here on Google Maps. Yes, the prices for the pizzas aren't exactly cheap, but if the quality is right and the food tastes good, then that's absolutely fine! Conclusion: Farinella won us over – great atmosphere, friendly service, and truly delicious pizza 🍕 We'll definitely be back.

A very average experience. The restaurant is very beautifully decorated, but the praise basically ends there. We were the first customers of the day when we entered for lunch on a weekday and even then the restaurant was dirty, with crumbs and bits of food on the floors and our chairs. When it came, the pizza looked very good but it was...odd. The pizza base was so thin it's almost non-existant (and although I'm a huge fan of a thin authentic pizza dough, this was a whole other level). The tomato sauce was sweet and tasted as though it came out of a can. The prices are higher than your average Italian restaurant so we were expecting decent/good quality food but that's just not the case here. While the servers were friendly, they are extremely short staffed and you spend the whole meal trying to get their attention to order or pay the bill. Overall, a poor quality restaurant which just proves looks can be deceiving!

We visit Farinella almost every week, thanks to the very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. The food is always delicious; we really enjoy it, and we think it's a lovely location.

Wonderful atmosphere with amazing food🤤 It’s the real taste of Italy!)

My partner and I decided to eat at Farinella in Westfield Mall, hoping to enjoy a good risotto and pizza. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The risotto was bland and tasteless; luckily my partner had ordered extra bacon bits, otherwise the dish would have been completely flavorless. My "special" deep-fried pizza with Parma ham was also disappointing: the crust was bland, and only a few slices of Parma ham provided some filling, but otherwise, it was nothing special. All in all, a waste of money. In retrospect, we should have gone to Vapiano – at least there you know the basic dishes are tasty.

The bacon was burnt and the egg in the sauce was raw, which can make you sick. I ordered it at the restaurant to eat at home. It ended up being thrown in the trash. It was €31, and very little. I won't be returning. It was at the Mall of Netherlands Leidschendam.

I asked if they had mocktails- they said no and I found out they do have Salad had soooo much saus not able to eat it. I told the staff about it and they said that is normal. I would not visit them again

I really love this restaurant and enjoy coming here, but I've had mixed experiences. For example, my girlfriend once ordered the pasta carbonara without properly looking at the menu. The dish had a very distinctive smell, probably from the goat cheese. We weren't prepared for this and weren't told about it, and honestly, it wasn't a pleasant experience—the smell was so strong that even the table next door could smell it. On the other hand, I love the truffle pasta—it smells wonderfully of real truffle! The shrimp and truffle pasta is definitely my favorite. The Neapolitan pizza Margherita is also incredibly delicious. One thing I do find disappointing is that the staff is usually inflexible when it comes to changing tables. We often get awkwardly seated, especially if we come with a child or with lots of bags. That's a downside for this restaurant, in my opinion. Unfortunately, it's also often noticeable that the glasses on the table are very scratched. That's not very pleasant—it feels like they could shatter at any moment.

Once and never again. We went there today to eat after a long day. We had our two small children with us (5 and 8 years old). The service was totally annoyed and bitchy. They probably thought it was just tourists... they don't have any money anyway. Unfortunately, we were wrong. Glasses were incredibly dirty and completely scratched. My glass was even shattered. We should have asked for something different when we ordered. My wife made a small special request but she stubbornly refused. No matter, we were hungry. The food arrived way late. Pizza was OK but a joke for the money. If you think you can get something better, you should look for suitable property by the harbor or in the shopping street outside. Absolutely not recommended for families! Never again! That is not the Dutch friendliness we are used to.

DO NOT GO HERE‼️‼️ After a whole day of shopping, I was craving something delicious. The restaurant looked nice, but after waiting an hour and asking three times where the food was, I received a frozen lasagna, which was really bad. When I told the staff I wasn't going to eat it and wanted to eat somewhere else, they aggressively told me I had to pay for everything… DO NOT GO HERE‼️‼️

Unfortunately, we didn't have a very good experience at this restaurant. We ordered pasta, risotto, and bruschetta. The bruschetta was very disappointing; it wasn't great. The risotto had a slightly off flavor, and the pasta had very thick strands that completely overwhelmed the flavor, making it truly unpalatable. It felt like the pasta wasn't cooked properly, as it was very firm. Furthermore, the service was good, and the location is very pleasant and atmospheric.

Located in Westfield mall, this restaurant adds as a more premium place. With nice decor and ambience, it is a pleasant and appealing restaurant. They have a variety of Italian food, and it is good. The prices are a bit high with respect to quantity, however, the taste does not compromise. I would recommend this place over Vapiano if it came to wanting a better dining experience. In terms of food, I would rate Vapiano better.

The food wasn't good, it was very expensive for what you get. The staff wasn't friendly. I ordered extra drinks, and there was no one there until we left, and I never got my drink. The staff just chatted with each other, weren't friendly, and charged exorbitant prices for inedible dishes. Then the four of us left feeling sick. I wouldn't recommend this place!

Haha was not even entertained to be seated at the restaurant. We waited at the entrance hoping someone would come and show us our seats, but nobody bothered to come to us. The restaurant was not busy and was fairly empty. Other restaurants near this one have a friendly atmosphere and the staff is very welcoming. Unfortunately not this one.

Farinella has delicious Italian coffee! What makes it extra special is that – as the manager enthusiastically explained – many of the ingredients and desserts come straight from Italy. The ice cream is freshly made in the restaurant, and you can taste it right away: creamy, pure and truly Italian. The atmosphere at the bar is cozy and lively. It really feels like you are on a trip to Italy. We have also eaten there several times, and we will definitely keep coming back. A top address for anyone who loves real Italian flavors and a warm atmosphere!

Two weeks after our visit, I wanted to say how great the food was! We really had a fantastic meal, for us this is the best Italian restaurant in the area. Super price-quality too. My wife, kids and I, we all enjoyed it so much! And what a nice place too. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back! Thank you!

Let us sit first, make a choice and then they have nothing. Ordered 5 drinks and got 4. Choice on the menu is very illogical, mainly fish pasta and no basic pastas.

I found this restaurant by chance and my expectations of finding good Italian food abroad were zero but I wanted to try it anyway..and I must say it was a pleasant experience!!! Very well-kept location..with a view of the kitchen and this already gives me a guarantee of quality and hygiene! Inviting menu and very kind and helpful staff even when I asked for a first course that unfortunately was off the menu! I finished with a tiramisu of which unfortunately I did not take a photo..but absolutely delicious! And even the coffee was an excellent coffee! If you want to delight your palate and breathe in the scent of Italy this is the ideal place! I will definitely..come back!

Have a meal in the dining theater with your family. Then you can choose what you want. I wanted pizza. Ordered from Farinella. Waiting..waiting..waiting..apologies from the lady, because it was busy in the kitchen (restaurant was quite empty but ok?) Still a bit of a wait. Meanwhile, my family has been without me for half an hour. Finally pizza and a portion of fries. Pizza was cold so I arrived at the back of my table. And the quality was really bad. There are so many beautiful and tasty places there, so don't go to Farinella!!

I will not sit in this restaurant again. Look at the picture of the glass, if it weren't for my friend with me I would have gotten up immediately, I could barely stand it. My first glass was like the one in the picture with a scuffed edge. I asked for a change and they brought me a scratched glass again. My friend's glass smelled like eggs, that smell is what you get when you put dishes that had eggs in them in the dishwasher. These are things you should know about and wash separately. These are basic things! For God's sake, don't you have money for new glasses?! The pizzas we ordered were not tasty at all, in places burnt, in places undercooked. The tomato sauce was sour too. Good thing we were hungry. For the price we paid, I would have eaten much more and tastier in another restaurant. This experience cost us €50.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff (NL & EN speaking). Quite a lot of choice on the menu and affordable. The wine and drinks are a bit on the pricey side. There is usually a spot available, but take into account crowds on weekends. Overall, recommended but not too special.

This is the third time I have eaten here and it is always good. I had the risotto once, the penne all'arrabiata and yesterday the tagliatelle with shrimps. Delicious food. I am a fan of Sauvignon Blanc. I didn't like the Sauvignon they serve, but that's the only one so far.

Terrible bad service. I have been there twice now, both times very slow service. The last time we went we were seated in a nice spot and after 30 minutes we were not helped while there were only 4 other people who were already eating. We just walked out of the restaurant

We had a very nice meal at this restaurant last night. One of the tastiest Italian restaurants in the region. Not an exaggerated price, good quality, and as a pizza maker I saw top equipment in the kitchen and that is also important to me. The best oven you can find. Had a nice wine from Sardinia, Cannonau, for a good price of €34 per bottle. Very nicely decorated too 🇮🇹 I would definitely go back, highly recommended.

After a day of shopping we thought we would grab something to eat. Pizza Quattro Formaggi cost 15 euros and the small amount of chicken fillet with potatoes and Brussels sprouts cost 19.90!! Way too much for what you get. The food was okay, the staff was lazy, they all stood around talking and treated you like a number. Saw few people in the restaurant and I also experienced the reason for that. You can eat much cheaper and better in the area, I do not recommend this restaurant. They don't speak Dutch either.

After walking by many times I decided to try it, it is often empty so I had my doubts. Started with the potato croquettes with mozerella, which were a bit bland but certainly tasty. We thought the pizzas were very tasty, plenty of cheese and the bottom was thin and the crust was crispy. We were helped quite quickly and ordered everything at the same time, the food and drinks came quickly, but for the second drink we had to wave to one of the servers. Food was very tasty, service was friendly, but they should certainly walk past the table again when the glasses are empty.

ATTENTION!!! Putting the same pizza back -already been eaten from- in the oven because it's undercooked and served out in a pizzabox while sitting in the restaurant, is not hygienic and customer friendly. Think about the HACCP guidelines!!!

Too dirty for words. Soup kitchen of its worst kind. Pizza not cooked properly, tomato sauce was dripping off. Lasagna was more of a dish you can give to your cat or something. Far too little and tasteless, it is bizarre that the staff also admit that the lasagna is really not possible. If you say something you will only get an apology, avoid this shop

Unfortunately, there is no box for 0 stars! I have never experienced a restaurant that was as bad as Farinella's! The waiter demands that you speak English. When I asked whether I can order a pizza without cheese, I received the smart answer that I cannot order Quatro fromage alone. I decide on a pizza with salami and basil without cheese. My wife has a marinara pizza. My wife's pizza came at least fifteen minutes before mine. Mine had something wrong with it. The strange thing was that my pizza arrived much later but had a normal baking color and my wife's was baked jet black on both the top and bottom. Besides the taste of burnt food, the pizza didn't taste like anything. My pizza contained 4 whole leaves of basil. To be honest, the salami was tasty and plentiful, but four whole leaves of basil is not only little for a whole pizza but also strange. So I started cutting the leaves to give more of the pizza the taste of fresh basil. But if I had wanted to cut herbs I wouldn't have gone to a restaurant. I conclude with some heartfelt advice: There is an Italian restaurant outside the mall building. Go spend your money there! They speak Dutch, the pizzas are delicious and richly topped and the last horror they are guilty of at Farinella: you can simply pay at the table instead of being sent to a cash register.

I have met quite a few people who go out to eat 4 times a week. But the quality of the staff is so bad that you simply never want to come back here. You are sitting at the table and 4 girls are just laughing but not dealing with customers. If you want to order something, it seems that you are asking too much. A bottle of spa red is brought and not even opened and poured, no, plopped on the table and they run away. Pizza was okay Never going there again!! What poor service Don't ask if everything is OK or if we want anything else. The owner wasn't there...I asked

Beautiful restaurant, fast service but the food was very disappointing. My husband ordered a pizza with a soft base and I ordered salmon that should have been grilled. It was a limp, fatty piece (large one was fine) of salmon without anything remotely resembling grilled. When asked if it had been grilled, I was told that the salmon had been prepared in the oven. When asked why there is grilled salmon on the menu? I received the answer that this has changed but the 'new' menus are not yet available, unfortunately the excuse was as weak as the salmon. The owner is in the shop keeping an eye on everything until you make a complaint, then the manager is called in to solve the problem by offering you coffee at their expense. Conclusion, never again, the food is an insult to Italian culture!

Choose another restaurant!! Waitress dropped bottle of Sprite over phone, leaving charging station full of water. Were sorry 10 times and were allowed to move to another table. Heard nothing more. They are not friendly at all. Ordered food. The fries (with the hamburger) were fried twice so they were dirty and greasy. The potatoes with the chicken fillet were soggy with fat, and the pasta with shrimp, which you had to pay almost €20 for, was bizarrely small and tasteless. Even with some pepper we couldn't season it. Only the pizza was okay. Daughter finished her pasta, logically just as little food, and her plate was immediately taken away?!?! The rest of us were still eating. When paying, we were asked if everything was satisfactory. She already knew everything about the food over the phone, and we only got okay, sorry to her. However, she was able to deduct 15% of the bill for the phone, for which we indicated that if it no longer charges or anything else, we will return it. This restaurant is a waste of money!!!!

The spaghetti carbonara and pizza diabola that we ate today were both very tasty. Highly recommended. The place is clean and nicely decorated.

I come to the Mall often and I have never seen this restaurant full, but I thought I would give it a chance, a real waste of money. In a quiet tent it takes a long time before you receive the menu, the air conditioning is on freeze mode and the pasta with truffle and shrimp looks as if my 8-year-old sister had finished it. Shrimp cut very sparingly into thirds, lots of butter. I'm not crazy about Vapiano, but I think they make even better pastas and cheaper. Only plus, the coffee was good.

The pasta Fresca with shrimps, cherrytomatoes and creme is just Delicious. Also con recomend theBurratina di Andria Dop.

The restaurant is not just empty!!! It looks beautiful from the outside, but the food is really terrible! Pizza was burnt on the bottom, so bad that you could only taste that... No understanding whatsoever from the clerk or manager. PLEASE save yourself the money and effort and don't eat here.

I normally never write reviews, but the experience we just had at Farinella was so bad that I couldn't resist. We ordered two pizzas and a pasta. The service was okay at first, but it soon became clear that the staff was inexperienced. When the pizzas were served and we started eating, we noticed that the bottom of one pizza was noticeably burnt on one side. This was immediately noticeable when tasting: the pizza simply tasted burnt. We kindly pointed this out to one of the employees, but his response was downright bizarre. In English he told us that this is “normal” in Italy. We tried to explain that there is a difference between well-baked and burnt, but this didn't seem to get through to him. It was very clear that this pizza just wasn't good. This was not a well-cooked pizza, as is common in Italy – this was simply a mistake. Then we asked for the bill because we had simply had enough. The bill didn't come right away; instead the manager showed up. To our surprise he didn't apologize. He told us that the pizza was burnt and suggested we make a new pizza. We rejected this, because both pizzas were bad: one was clearly burnt, the other slightly less so, but not good either. We no longer had confidence that a third attempt would be better. What really surprised us was that we still had to pay for everything - including the returned pizza that we didn't even eat. You would think that in such a situation the manager would offer a solution to make things right, but no: you are just a number in this restaurant. In short: lousy service, inexperienced and non-customer friendly staff, and bad food. Farinella sells herself short by calling herself Italian. This restaurant is absolutely not recommended, and I strongly advise everyone against eating here.

Worst Italian food I have ever had. The food was stale and had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. Made a mistake of walking into this place without checking its review.

A word of advice, go eat somewhere else! Terrible. Pizza with HER! But otherwise nothing to write home about. Service is painfully slow. The question whether a Pizza Calzone could be ordered without pepper was only answered after almost 30 minutes. Removing an ingredient is not possible. And these must be fresh pizzas????? But the rest of the service was also slow and not very service-oriented (except for a nice, young boy). The speed of the service had nothing to do with the crowds, the place was almost empty when we arrived at 8 p.m. after shopping for our Sinterklaas purchases. The staff were all hanging around the bar. The freshness of the pizzas also left much to be desired in other respects, with canned champions having a base that was tough and not crispy. It was that my teenage daughter wanted to eat here (after a previous good experience). Certainly not worth repeating for us. Way too expensive and poor quality.

It's not often that I'm satisfied with an Italian, but what a delicious meal I just had. We were immediately helped to a table, someone soon came to the table to ask if we had finished yet. Ordered everything in one go. Food was brought to the table quickly. Price-quality ratio is really perfect. Food was delicious.

Upon arrival, my friend and I were immediately offered a table. At the table, the first thing I noticed was that my cutlery was on the bench. Naturally, I immediately requested a new one and that was done neatly and quickly. Unfortunately I couldn't say that about the rest. It took a while before we could order our drinks. When we were asked about ordering, we were immediately expected to order our food. Since we hadn't decided yet, we only ordered drinks. It took a long time before they came back for our food order. Our table had not been cleaned properly. It was extremely sticky on one side. The advantage was that there was a piece of paper in between, but when you removed it you could hear the adhesive cracking that had been stuck to the paper. When the food arrived, a quarter of my pizza crust was burnt. Fortunately the rest was good, but I don't rule out that I thought this was a shame. Taste of the pizza was okay. After dining our plates were neatly removed. The expectation was that something would happen from the staff for completion or possible ordering. We then waited fifteen minutes. Since there was no response from the staff, we asked if we could pay. Only to find out that we could simply walk to the cash register for this. Food wasn't that bad, but considering the process literally took two hours for two pizzas, it's not a restaurant I would want to come back to.

As a starter we had arancini (2 pcs on the small side) and bruschetta (4 pcs), as a main course we had spaghetti carbonara and tagliatelle bolognese (little meat, it was more of a regular tomato sauce). Portions were just enough, pasta al dente as it should be. With a glass of wine and a glass of water. Good service and friendly staff, for 2p ± 55€.

It is a beautiful restaurant in terms of appearance, and the staff is busier with themselves and each other than with the customers. They look like they would rather be anywhere than there at that moment. We did not order food because the drinks took a very long time and we were unable to contact the service to order more.

The schnitzel with fries is definitely not recommended, schnitzel was not thin but thick, some of the fries were not cooked through and came without sauce and the salad that came with it looked dreary and was also without any kind of sauce. The service was nice, but simply took away plates that still had a little left on them without asking. There was no toilet paper in the toilet

We were the only ones who had to wait a while at the sign "wait to be seated" while there was plenty of room in the restaurant. We were beckoned from 10 meters away and shown to a table. Only later did we notice that the staff in this restaurant are not allowed to say anything, not even among themselves. That gives a very strange, distant atmosphere. The pizza truffle was good, the risotto funghi not. And my daughter had to throw up later in the evening, not entirely sure if that was due to the food. In any case, very mediocre and unpleasant. The concept, location and decor are fine, but this restaurant clearly needs new management and a better chef.

Service is terrible. No glasses when drinking. We were 4 people and food did not arrive at the same time. Food from person no. 4 only came when the other 3 had already finished their food. Ordering drinks was also not easy and we had to ask 3 different employees for parmesan cheese. Food quality was reasonable, but I will never go here. The table next to us had a similar experience and they got up and left at some point.
