Fat Dirck in Wijk 01 Binnenstad

Bij binnenkomst valt meteen de onmiskenbare geur van houtskoolgrill op die door een kleine stoom machine wordt aangedreven. Het eten is verzorgd en echt lekker ( in dit geval de zalm) en op voedsel allergie wordt goed geacteerd door het vriendelijke personeel. Een prachtig steampunk industrieel interieur waar je iedere keer iets anders ontdekt. Aanrader, dichtbij parkeren en een gezellige omgeving.

En spontan tur til hardewijk gjorde at vi kom forbi denne café. Super i mødekommende tjener som gav en god introduktion til menukortet. Lækker moscow mule og god øl. Vi bestilte et bræt med lidt forskelligt. Det smagte dejligt. Dog kunne vi godt tænke os noget brød til. Det kom også hurtigt. Maden smagte dejligt og servicen var i top. Prisen var måske lige til den gode side i forhold til kvaliteten😊 men det er sagt med et smil da servicen trak op

Wij wonen in Spanje en komen altijd voor zeven weken naar Harderwijk en dit jaar zoveel teleurstellingen gehad wat betreft bediening prijzen en eten. We komen zelf uit de horeca maar vanmiddag bij Dikke Dirk een tien. Alles klopte bediening eten en prijs. Jullie komen op onze erelijst.

Leckeres Essen für zwischendurch. Wir hatten einen Burger und Tosti mit Pommes. Das Essen war gut und der Service sehr nett. Leider gibt es keine englische Karte. Unsere Kellnerin hat uns aber direkt gezeigt wie wir mit dem Handy die Karte übersetzen können. Da in der knappen Stunde alleine schon drei Tische nach einer Karte auf Englisch gefragt haben, wäre das vielleicht eine Überlegung wert ;) Wir können das Restaurant zum einkehren aber trotzdem nur empfehlen. Hier gibt es für jeden etwas und der Service ist sehr gut. Allein das Ambiente ist einen Besuch wert.

Due to my health I have to eat gluten free/wheat free & lactose/milk free. No problem here. Everything from the fryer (including fries) is unfortunately not possible for me but that was solved by serving an extra side dish.

Saturday, May 10, 5:35 PM at Dikke Dirck. Lovely on the terrace and excellent service. Starter: the famous D.F.C. and Calamari both absolutely recommended. We'll have to wait a little longer for the main course, but the prospects are good. Main course update. What delicious Tournedos and chicken satay. Perfect and very tasty. Recommendations. 👍

Very silly that the dog is allowed on the terrace but not inside. No head in the shop for 5 hours..... we didn't come with an Irish wolfhound. But we were allowed to eat comfortably in the shade in a draughty state. Well thanks.

Delicious spare ribs! Nice and beautiful place where young children can also enjoy themselves. We will definitely come back here again!

tasty spareribs and chicken popcorn as a starter shared with friends - everything was super delicious, the bbq sauce on the ribs couldve been a bit smokier but thats just personal taste :) I really liked the small games (domino, micado…) that you could play while waiting for food.

Staff often ask if anything needs to be ordered and then something has already been ordered for a long time.

Been here before and had a delicious meal...today we went back to Harderwijk from Apeldoorn and again had a delicious meal...the pork belly and the Keuvelplank with all the tasty 3 courses are highly recommended. Friendly service and a nice restaurant atmosphere, we will definitely come back

We had a beautiful meal at Fat Dirck Grill, steaks and burgers cocked perfectly and delicious, we also had the steak Tar tar and capacio with salad large serves and absolute perfection :-) highly recommend.

Very tasty food and a great atmosphere. The only thing that doesn't make it 5 stars is the uninterested, unfriendly Asian employee who spoke to us on the phone for the reservation and took us to our table.

Het eten was een teleurstelling. Ik bestelde een Dorade. Want als je in Harderwijk bent moet je vis eten, dacht ik. De vis was klein en een beetje verpieterd, versierd met van alles waardoor het culinair moets lijken en een bakje frieten. En dat voor meer dan € 25. Wat is er toch aan de hand met Nederlandse restaurants? Gewichtig doen met rare frommeltjes en exotische franse woorden. Er had toch ook wel iets van groente bij gekund. Ik ben geen gezondheids fanaat maar ....... Het restaurant ziet er wel heel leuk uit moet ik zeggen. Er valt veel te bekijken. "Kijken,kijken en niet zo lekker koken"zo zou ik het willen samenvatten.

Das Essen, der Service war hervorragend. Es gibt dort so viel zu sehen und zu entdecken, das die Zeit wie im Flug vergeht. Wir waren dort ohne Reservierung an einem Sonntag.

Gisteren voor het eerst bij jullie wezen eten. Was een fantastische avond! Heel aardig personeel. We waren iets te vroeg dus mochten we plaats nemen op een bankje en kregen wat te drinken. We hebben zeker niet lang hoeven te wachten. Aardige dame die ons heeft geholpen. Tussen het voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht werd de tafel zelfs schoongemaakt. Nog nooit meegemaakt. Als voorgerecht had ik een carpaccio, zat een lekkere bruschetta bij. Als hoofd had ik een flat iron steak en mn vriendin de ribeye. Goede bereiding en lekker mals. Wij komen zeker terug!

First of all, this is a restaurant for big eaters. Second: all the dishes are prepared home made. Example - home made Bailey liquer. Portions are huge, meats are well prepared and tasty. Deserta are delicious. Tip: call and make a reservation in advance, because most of the time it is a full house.

Unpretentious restaurant where you can eat honest meals. Sufficiently large portions and quite a bit of choice. My salad was a bit spicy, but very tasty.

Certainly not based on my review, but I would like to say that the welcome on a Wednesday at 2:30 PM was not very warm. I came with my son for a drink and cake and the response was somewhat hesitant. The manager was also sitting at a table with her laptop making business calls. I understand that with such a mini office in the cupboard of the play corner (beautiful but - especially for staff - awkwardly located between the bar and kitchen), it is almost impossible to do otherwise, but it was not very conducive to a welcome feeling as a guest. . After all, I am just as much a paying guest as the people who come for lunch or dinner and something like this will probably not happen at those times. Furthermore, it was not very nice that I was charged for 2x whipped cream, while we were not asked in advance whether we wanted this at all. The vintage decor is fantastic and if the food is as good as the cake, I will come back for it. The bill was €17.40 for 2x cake, mint tea and a fristi.

Have eaten here 3 times now, absolutely enjoyed it all three times. The restaurant looks super nice. The meat is really delicious, just like the sauce, and the presentation is also great! The fries you get with it are also delicious. Staff friendly and tidy. A bit on the expensive side, but because the food is so good I think that's understandable. Definitely recommended!

Food was very good. We found the service disappointing. The interior compensates for the lack of character in the controls. It's a snapshot but to us it looked like they were working reluctantly. When I read the reviews, it must be better.

Heerlijk gegeten. Aangezien we niet konden kiezen hadden we de hoofdplank gekozen als hoofdgerecht waar diverse soorten vlees en vis op zat. De kinderen hadden voor 12 € een hoofd en nagerecht met nog een leuke traktatie

Very cozy and nice tent. Service was welcoming and friendly. Delicious meal with warm vegetables from the grill. We shared 1 main course for 2 people with extra warm vegetables and this was more than enough for us.

Food and atmosphere great, would just like to see plates instead of planks

We come here often and always have a good meal. We were shocked by the tuna melt sandwich and the tuna salad sandwich! Unfortunately forgot to take a photo. The tuna salad was quite runny with weird brown colored pieces of tuna in it and chunks of indefinable vegetables. This tuna salad really cannot be served and hopefully the chef will come up with a 'new' FRESH recipe for this. Very nice not having to pay for our drinks, that was very nice!

The food here is so delicious! That truffle burger was so delicious! The service was also very good, and the atmosphere was perfect, I recommend eating here 5 stars!

Eens maar echt nooit meer, middelmatig eten, prijs kwaliteit niet in verhouding wat een teleurstelling. Wij zijn in Amersfoort geweest. Voor dit geld kun je echt heel veel beter eten. En zoals hieronder al aangegeven gluten vrije opties is echt een fiasco. Wij hebben specifiek gevraagd of dit mogelijk was, maar eenmaal daar niks gluten vrij behalve de kip. Zelfs Mac Donalds heeft meer!

We are really fans of fat dirck, at least the one in Amersfoort. Had dinner in Harderwijk tonight and what a downer it was. We ordered carpaccio without truffle mayo, which was served nicely, but the lettuce on the carpaccio was soaked in oil and so was the carpaccio: you don't expect that with a carpaccio. If I had known this in advance, I would have asked for “dry” lettuce. We have never had this with the carpaccio in Amersfoort. The bread board previously also contained chunks of old cheese, but these were not on it. Then we had the spareribs: these were not really cooked yet: they were very white, extremely dry and did not fall off the bone at all, in fact you really had to pull it off the bone and then whole pieces were still stuck: they falling off the bone is something we are normally used to from fat dirck. Staff was very friendly, but of course you come for a nice meal..

Een heerlijke zaak in meerdere opzichten! De gerechten zijn met liefde en zorg bereid, dat zie je en proef je. Ook de bediening straalt oprechte gastvrijheid uit en de inrichting is huiselijk en knus met veel gezellige en leuke details. Ik zou zeggen, ga er eens lekker lunchen of dineren.

Nooit meer! Van te voren gevraagd of glutenvrij eten een probleem was, maar dat kon prima. Ook op de kaart wordt de indruk gewekt dat daarmee rekening wordt gehouden. Wat een teleurstelling! Geen glutenvrij brood ( nog nooit mee gemaakt) en de patat was ook niet glutenvrij. Biefstuk of zalm kon wel (duh!). Na afloop werd gevraagd of we nog dessert wilde. Toen ik vroeg naar de glutenvrije desserts, zei het meisje: die hebben we niet hahaha! Geen grap! Kortom: zeg gewoon dat jullie GEEN rekening houden met glutenvrije wensen. Dan is dat ook duidelijk!

Very nice restaurant, it says a lot and the mix of styles is just great. There's a lot to see! The food is very tasty and the portions are absolutely sufficient. Very nice service and not a long waiting time... you are prepared for the guest here. That certainly wasn't our last time!

As mentioned earlier, I always try to post as positively as possible. We made a reservation today at 5.15 pm and came for the fried mushrooms and the chicken sateh. When ordering I heard that there was no chicken sateh, but 1 minute later the mushrooms were already there. I refused and asked for the bill. No apologies and I had to pay for our beers. No more Fat Dirck for me!

Wij hebben hier een heerlijk avondje zitten keuvelen. Dit menu is zeker een aanrader want je krijgt van alles meer dan voldoende en je geniet zo van meerdere voorgerechten, hoofdgerechten en desserts. Ook waren er bij ons een paar die de burger proeverij hebben gegeten wat ook erg in de smaak viel. Bediening was super en het eten was heel goed bereid ( vlees heerlijk op de houtskool BBQ. Reserveren is wel verstandig ( wij waren met 8 personen en dan is het een must)

Good food and just great customer service. We had a problem with the portions and after we complained about the ingredients, it was resolved nicely with some extra food. The waitresses were super friendly and cheerful. Definitely recommend it if you have the time!

What a delicious meal we had here!

I have eaten here a number of times before, and always advertised this restaurant. But unfortunately tonight we definitely did not get the quality we are used to from Dikke Dirck. Very disappointing. The starter was great. The fried mushrooms with sauce are super delicious. We had a good mocktail. But that's it. The truffle burger was very mediocre, while previously we were licking our fingers off it. The taste was good, but the burger was no longer as thick as before, and the arugula, bacon and the famous Gretels old cheese were completely missing. So it was just a burger, with truffle sauce, pickled onion and 2 tomato slices. Shame!! We also received 1 bowl of fries to share, while previously you got your own bowl of fries. The dessert was also mediocre. Pistachio ice cream that tastes like almond, and cheesecakes that in our opinion no longer seemed very fresh in terms of taste, but also compared to photos we saw from previous reviews. This may have had something to do with the fact that we worked in 2 shifts on Saturdays, and we had the late shift of 7.30 pm. You must have ordered your 3 courses within 1.5 hours, because the kitchen closes at 9 pm. At 8:58 p.m. we were asked if we had already ordered dessert, but we hadn't yet, because no one had come yet. The dessert was then served messily, and the cutlery was filthy with dirty sticky fingers on it. It came across as run-down. I don't find that very hospitable and will certainly not use this shift again. We will give Dikke Dirck another try in the future, hoping that the name is lived up to and is not just as skinny as tonight. But if the quality is the same as tonight, then we'll have dinner at Dirck's.
