I come to this place very often and love the pasta. This time we also tried the tiramisu. Correct. Service is efficient, not slow. The cacio e pepe was a bit too cheesy compared to the places I like (yes, it’s possible). Overall I recommend this place

One of our favourite spots in Amsterdam! I recall this restaurant from my last visit, and aside from the wonderful pasta, the thing that stuck in my mind was the Pera Cotta or poached pear with mascarpone. The way the chocolate in the mascarpone just harmonises so well with the red wine that the pear is cooked in? Just beautiful! Also really love their cacio e pepe and al burro 🧈 yum!

Delicious truffle, tortellini, and beef ragu pasta

What a treat! In a city full of great food, this place stands out! Fresh homemade pasta with the most delicious sauces. Paparadelle with a ragu bolongnese and caci i pepe! Don't miss this gem!

Delicious antipasti, including marinated artichoke, courgette and dried ham flan, beautiful homemade pasta and gnocchi and for dessert tiramisu and espresso We will definitely be back soon!

Wanted to come here for a long time. Finally! We really enjoyed truffle and cacio e pepe pasta. Great wine parring. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Tables are very close to each other which makes it extra cozy. Definitely make a reservation. Enjoy :)

Good, authentic Italian cuisine

Tiny restaurant with all the atmosphere of an Italian. Freshly made pasta, excellent, generous portions.

I recently visited this Italian fiaschetteria in Amsterdam. The food itself was delicious, with vibrant flavors and a genuine Italian touch. However, many of the dishes were unfortunately quite salty, which overshadowed some of the flavors. One of the major letdowns was the burrata. For 20 euros, I was expecting something more substantial, but what I received was surprisingly small and not particularly visually appealing on the plate. It didn't feel like it was worth the price at all. On a positive note, the tiramisu was excellent and a great way to end the meal. The staff was also very friendly and attentive, making the overall atmosphere pleasant.

We used to love this place but it's really gone downhill... The prices have gone up an unreasonable amount for small portions (and an extremely overpriced burrata) and most of all the service was terrible! We were completely rushed through our dinner and basically forced out of the place in 45 minutes. This is a dinner we'd been looking forward to as we had really good memories coming previously but we were so disappointed that we did not get a special experience again and did not enjoy our night at all. Will never come back, unfortunately.

After a long search of a cozy and geniune Italian restaurant, Pistoia was next to where we were staying and safe to say we were impressed by the amazing taste and the atmosphere that they offered. Dana and Marco, the lovely staff enlighted our experience with their smile and energy.

Very good service!! Very good atmosphere!! Burrata salad too small, tartufo too good! The ragout was pasta with minced meat so I wouldn't recommend it! And the tiramisu is very good and fresh!

We wanted a tiramisu to take away, we called to order and they didn't answer, when we finally got there they insisted we get other things, while we told them that's all we wanted and they showed us how much it cost (it was 9€) I ordered it and when I got home and opened it, it had a spoonful of cream inside, only tiramisu, nothing. Simply unacceptable!!

You need to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you will have to check out and leave as soon as you enter the store before the next scheduled guest arrives!

Lovely small place, fresh pastas, great wine selection and very good service. Unfortunately, the mood was completely influenced by the choice of music in the restaurant. As inappropriate as incomprehensible, we had to listen to AC/DC, Eye of the tiger, Meatloaf, etc. all evening. Also at such a volume that it was unfortunately impossible to ignore. What a mismatch. A waste of all the other bonus points of this restaurant.

We go to Pistoia at least once every time we are in Amsterdam. The noodles are homemade and taste extremely delicious. It's a cute little Italian restaurant and the staff is super friendly. We particularly recommend the pasta Bolognese with ragu and the starter with tomatoes and burrata.

I am still thinking about the gnocchi I had there!

Wow- we loved this restaurant so much, we ate here twice on our 1-week trip. The cacio e pepe is the best I’ve ever had outside of Italy. Everything from service, to food & wine, to atmosphere was 10/10.

Extremely unclear communication. We came here based on friends’ recommendations and were excited to try it. Since it was busy, they put us on the waitlist and said they’d call when a table was free, which was understandable. When they did call, we went back, only to be told the table was gone. The waiter literally said, “I don’t know how to tell you, but the table is gone”(apparently because the previous guests, who were 20 minutes late still got to keep it). Then we were told the wait would be 30 minutes to an hour, and they’d call us again. Since we didn’t have a reservation, we thought waiting nearby was fine. Two hours later, still no update. We eventually gave up. A simple call to let us know there wouldn’t be a table would’ve saved us from waiting for nothing. We get that restaurants get busy, but at least be upfront instead of giving vague estimates and leave people hanging. So sad.

the tortellini and the pappardelle were nice and al dente, and their fillings and sauce really came well together. it was great not just because of the food, but the helpfulness of the waiting staff making recommendations as well as the old school ambience made the experience great. however, the dinner service is very busy, so i recommend making reservations a few days before, preferably as soon as they open. so definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful Italian food, can’t wait to try their NYC locations! I love that they bring a case of wines for you to choose from! Super friendly staff, you can get lost in the crowd if they’re super busy but overall happy with the service!

This place is de-lishhhh! I had the black olive pasta and my friend the tagliatelle al tartufo and both were perfectly made! We also had an amazing burrata on the side. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, we were short on time and they made sure we had our order just in time. The place is very small, but cozy. Must visit.

You can stop searching for a good Italian restaurant in Amsterdam cause you found it! The restaurant is small and cozy. I really enjoyed the whole experience because of the decor, the music and the staff that was speaking Italian in the kitchen…it made me feel like I teleported. You should make a reservation. We didn’t have one, but we got lucky and the manager was so nice to give us a table. As for the food, just try the truffle pasta and I promise you won’t regret it. Also the tiramisu is out of this world.

Great experience. 10/10. We didn’t make a reservation and the manager still sat us in 15 min although the restaurant is super tiny. We waited outside and he kept checking on us and giving us updates:) very friendly. Place is run by Italians. Very authentic. The food came very fast and was delicious. ESPECIALLY THE TRUFFLE PASTA!!Great wine also and the tiramisu was outstanding. Not a single complain. Lovely place for a romantic date night:) I will return soon🤍

I'm not sure why this place gets great reviews. The bread was stale, the bolognese sauce was salty and didn't taste fresh, and the tiramisu was just a cup of cream.

Amazing Italian food from Pistoia

We went at around 9 o'clock without a reservation. They took us because there was a suitable table. The 'tagliatelle al tartufo' I ate was legendary. As a pasta lover, I can say that I fell in love with pasta again. After eating the tiramisu, I said, wow, what a meal it was. The service was friendly and fast. I deducted one point from the small size of the place. One wants to sit a little more comfortably. But other than that, it was a very enjoyable meal. Offers. Wholehearted recommendation.

Wow! Had a fantastic evening in this restaurant, small but very nice! Beautiful dishes, top wine and super friendly staff.

This is such an amazing and cozy place! Due to limited space I advise to book this place 2-3 weeks in advance! The food is simple yet delicious. You can taste every ingredient separately and how it combines in a symphony of other flavors in your plate! The pasta dough was so silky and delicate, so eggy and springy! I went for Maccheroni Sull’Anatra (egg pasta with slow cooked duck). The pasta was delicious and the stew was perfect combination of soft stringy duck meat accompanied by carrots and onions. Affogato was my choice of desert. It was perfect combination of creamy and coffee! I can only compare it to drinking a sweet coffee cloud. Would definitely visit again 💗

Bad service when booking a table, I was just hung up on!

This restaurant is a 12 out of 10! Small menu with fresh, homemade pasta. Instead of a wine list, the waiter comes with a wine box and presents the wines by the glass. We recommend the artichoke starter - incredibly tasty. Fresh bread with fabulous olive oil is served. The waiters are very attentive. Everything happens quickly and routinely. You can look into the open kitchen. We ate tiramisu for dessert - it was melt-in-your-mouth!!! Absolutely within the price range. A real heartfelt recommendation. Please make a reservation - it's always busy and otherwise you'll easily have to wait outside for an hour.

Very stressful!! FOod was great but the service was too quick, they nearly took your plate away before your final bite! The service had to be done within an hour and it felt more like a food factory than a cosy restaurant.

After an earlier, slightly lesser experience, I was invited to eat again, and this time it was an absolute treat. We received a friendly welcome and enjoyed excellent service. The snacks were delicious, followed by a tasty pasta and a tiramisu that was exactly as it should be. All in all a great evening, where you really felt like you were in Italy for a moment.

If you are looking for a small piece of Italy in Amsterdam ….with authentic Italian flavors and Italian chaos….this is a great location. Small, cosey, fresh and very tasteful

Good place with the focus on the taste of product. The place gets a bit loud. Tiramisu was delicious. Pasta was a bit overcooked but good quality and chewy. Pasta was a bit too salty though I like salty food. Good coffee. I think it’s a bit overpriced.

Delicious food! A bit on the expensive side. Wine for 8 or 15 euros per glass and cannot explain why the wine has this price. Service friendly but they are in a hurry. And the latter is a shame if you want to have a nice evening out....

Atmosphere, pasta quality and service was very nice. We were very appreciated that they were able to find a seat for us without a reservation, kept it till we came and were very polite during interaction. Service was also very nice and extremely fast. Pasta was very fresh and you can feel that ingredients are high quality. I could leave 4/5 or even 5/5. However, there was one thing that made ourselves to feel that we were scammed. In the beginning we were asked what type of water we want to drink. We choose still water and waiter brought us cold tap water in house glass bottle without any logo, so I thought that it is apparently a tap water and it shouldn’t be charged that much. However, once they brought bill, they charged us 18 eur per bottle. In the bill it was wrote down as “drinks”. We still paid ofc. However, we would not come back again.

This is definitely one of the best Italian pasta we have ever tried and we have visited Italy and this might genuinely be better!! The flavor, the freshness, everything about the food is just amazing! A bit on the pricey side than what you usually pay for a pasta but for me it’s definitely worth it and for-sure worth the try if you’re a pasta lover. Super friendly staff and cozy place as well. There isn’t alot of tables so maybe make a reservation by calling or go early otherwise you wont find a table.

Everything excellent, food, good friendly service and quick. The space provided for 6 adults 1 child leaves much to be desired. 2 60x60 tables with 6 chairs 🤦‍♂️ we ate like we eat in Italy though and that's the most important thing

Sweeter loading but a bit too little

Went here for a dinner date and had an amazing time. The two young waiters were friendly, attentive and had some amazing food recommendations. Definitely worth the price, especially the tiramisu and pork gnocchi :))

One of the best so make a reservation! The best tagliatelle tartufo i've ever tasted! Tried also al burro and it was delicious. I will come again for the wine pairings because it was all local from Italy as any other incredient from here. Definetly try the tiramisu!

This restaurant manages to serve your starter within 3 minutes. My mozzarella with tomato is tastier. 4 minutes later your pasta will arrive. Unfortunately not al dente. Pasta cooked too long for Italians. They run through the place. A good comparison is, think of Hard Rock Café and McDonalds. Only they are cheaper. With kindness and running through the business this has become a disappointment. They want to sell a lot of tables in one evening. This is the first and last time for us. That 4.6 is not deserved. Sorry. Go improve.

Everything was good, food was tasty. Too expensive, not something special. No beers on the menu

Unfortunately we were not able to eat there but we were offered to take away and it was perfect: the dish remained hot despite the 20 min walk in the cold (perfectly packaged) and it was very very good ! We were given cutlery without having to ask and small focaccia as a bonus Nothing to complain about!

We came with two for dinner without reservation, they offered us a table from 19.00 to 20.00 which we accepted. Nice small restaurant, Italian waiters running around, nice - brings real Italian atmosphere. Within a minute we got the menu, and we ordered starter and main. Wine can be chosen from a box of available wine bottles, nice. Then... after two minutes the starter arrived, and after having finished this within a minute main course arrived. I had fresh pasta with meat saus, which was good but not extraordinarily or special. Within 45 minutes we were outside, having spent over 100 euro which didn't feel good for such a short stay. So: nice restaurant and maybe with reservation you can eat more relaxed, but now it didn't right.

Fantastic pasta restaurant! It's cozy, small and welcoming. I have been twice and the service each time has been excellent. The food is so delicious, my favourite was the "Tagliatelle Tartufo" (black truffle pasta). So creamy, rich and decadent. They offer a crate of wines and bubbles as their wine list, I choose their only listed prosecco and it was really great. I would recommend this place to any pasta lover! Be sure to make a reservation in advance for their weekend spots as its usually fully booked due to the small size of the restaurant!

This is a charming Italian place in Amsterdam, located along a very cute side street. The food was incredible. From the fresh burrata and prosciutto, the ingredients are an explosive sensation. The pasta is homemade and cooked to perfection. Super yummy Italian in Amsterdam, will come back again.

I really recommend the pasta tartufo (truffle pasta) but almost 30 euro for a small pasta is way overpriced in my opinion. It is really tasty just be aware of the prices. The restaurant seemed to small in my opinion, but the service was great.

Holly crap. Best pasta we had in all of Europe (sorry Italy!!), and best pasta I have had in a long long time, in fact not sure I've had better (and I am from Australia where there are a LOT of quality Italian restaurants). Thank you for adding to our awesome Amsterdam experience. Bravo.

A little hidden gem in Amsterdam for authentic Italian food. The food is stunning and the truffle tagliatelle has a rich and decadent flavor. The atmosphere is cosy, with only a few other tables and the wine selection to choose from is great. Overall this place is a lovely spot to enjoy good food and good wine in an authentic setting. Recommend! (Making a reservation well in advance is recommended too)
