Intimate dining room. I was able to get in without a reservation. Fast service, food was amazing. I had the pappardelle alla bolognese. It was incredible.

We ate here before a concert and were served quickly. The menu is small with limited choices, although the food was delicious. The pasta ragu was delicious. It's quite small and noisy, but it does create a cozy atmosphere. Reservations are recommended.

Homemade pasta with a really good sauce! The restaurant is very small, so you absolutely must book by phone, and it can be difficult to make yourself understood, so good luck 😅 Everything there is delicious, and the service is very fast.

Incredible food, so have been coming back for the amazing pasta. But it's not suitable place to sit for a longer time: you're being rushed to order fast and leave. It's perfect for when you're on the go anyway, but not really for a long dinner night.

Tucked away in a little side street, this restaurant is so cozy and has such a no-frills feel to it. The food - stunning stunning stunning!! And the service was excellent, very friendly, quick and attentive! Can't wait to come back again and try more from their menu.

I had high hopes for this place, but it was a big disappointment. It is cramped, very loud, service was nonexistent. You feel like they are just trying to get you in and out. But most importantly, the food was very disappointing, and underwhelming.

Cacio e Pepe was again really good but can not say the same thing for Ragu. The pasta in Ragu was tasteless and felt overcooked and not good harmonization.

Food was absolutely amazing! It’s been breathtaking, wanted to order seconds right after my first bite! The noodles are made on the spot!! And you can taste the freshness! The only sad thing was: we were “walk-in’s” on a very busy Friday night without reservations (couldn’t get one on that day). We waited half an hour which was fine, as we were excited for the food. But we only got half an hour to dine as the place kept having ongoing reservations, and that was a bit stressful. The food was still worth it, but if you really want to enjoy the full experience I’d work on getting an early reservation!

A lively little restaurant with small tables and a nice selection of fresh pastas. Booking in advance by phone is highly recommended. The restaurant offers prompt, assertive service and very fast turnaround; pasta is on the table within minutes. This isn't a restaurant where you'll be sitting quietly for a few hours. The wine list consists of a basket of bottles served at the table; each bottle is priced per glass and per bottle. Expert advice was provided on which wine best paired with which pasta. The wine was excellent, and the food was delicious. The affogato for dessert is highly recommended.

We made a reservation, and I would recommend it. The service was extremely friendly and the food came very quickly. Both pasta dishes we had were delicious. I especially recommend the Cacio e Pepe, as they use fresh pasta! The only thing we didn't like so much was the tiramisu, which was 90% mascarpone/cream and had almost no biscuit, so it tasted very bland and not really like tiramisu. Otherwise, we really enjoyed everything.

Great, authentic Italian food. Cool atmosphere with the Blink 182 playing. Service was prompt and the wine selection was presented in an original way. We were lucky to get a table with no reservation but we were welcomed. Great place. Will be back again when next in Amsterdam. Thank you.

Delicious authentic italian food. The restaurant is very cozy and felt truly traditional. The food was amazing. We had the pomodoro from the antipasti and it was one of the best dishes i’ve ever eaten, we also ordered the Tagliatelle Al Tartufo and it was creamy and delicious and the truffle taste was just perfect. We also ordered the Gnudi Burro E Salvia and the presentation felt like a master chef looking dish that was also delicious and the combination and the ratio between the spinach, cheese, and dough was just perfect. My wife ordered the veal and it was my first time seeing her finish a dish. It was a but pricy but worth it. I also recommend that you make a reservation before you go.

Good location and normal service, nice vibe,like a small kitchen in the back lane of your home, cozy and relax. It seems mainly serve fresh pasta, not like the other touristic fansy Italian restaurants, which is exactly what I want. But I have to say the food is disappointing, at least for the "fresh pici al pepe" I ordered. I understand the fresh pasta can be a bit sticky on teeth, but would be much much better if you put them into cold water for 30sec right out of the boiling pot. This is for one. Secondly, the white sauce is really really really really OVER salty.... I'm already a heavy taste person normally I like food with a bit more salt, but this, this is way out of range..... I didn't even finish my small portion. And the waiter didn't bother to ask why I didn't finish it. But that's fine for me. I don't know how their other sauces are, had the intention to order pasta al ragu (wide band pasta Bolognese style) it looks nice when the table next to me ordered that, but only to say, if a pasta cucina can't make the most simple one (either aglio e olio or pepe) properly, then it make no sense to try the others. Will not go for next time.

Amazing place! Very authentic and tasty Italian food. Must try their truffle egg sauce pasta! Buffalo cheese and tomato sauce was crazy! Amazing wine collection! Highly recommended and must try in Amsterdam.

There are few seats in the store and you have to wait, but the food is delicious! The portion is small.

Wonderful atmosphere in very kind service. However the dishes were rushed out incredibly fast. Almost no time to let the previous cours be taken away before the next one came. Made the meal feel a bit rushed. The burrata and ragu pasta were excellent, but the fried zucchini and Casio e Pepe were incredibly salty. Seems like they don’t taste the dishes before taking them out. Very mixed experience

A very charming, authentic restaurant with super friendly service and truly delicious, homemade food. Unfortunately, the portions are quite small—they taste great, but the value for money isn't quite right in my opinion.

WOW! Fresh pasta that is made right infront of you, fresh foccacia and amazing service. We came for dinner after trying to avoid expensive 'tourist trap' italians and it did not dissapoint! They managed to squeeze us in for a quick 45 minutes after being full within 1 hour of opening, depsite our short visit it was spectacular and deserves every review that comes praising it. We ordered the tomato pasta and black truffle pasta and they were phenomenal! The prices were matching that of local italians that were for tourists but they offered food that was SO much better. For fresh pasta and amazing service what more could you ask for, well worth the price and worth many more visits!

We had tickets to Carré and were looking for a good spot nearby — and my god, this place is incredible. From the friendly call to confirm our reservation, to the thoughtful wine selection, delicious dessert, and attentive service — everything was spot on. Can’t recommend this place enough. We read comments here that made us choose the restaurant. And we were happy that we arrived without a reservation and were accepted. The truth? The food had no taste at all, we returned one dish because it was inedible... excessively creamy. Our waiter created an atmosphere of stress. From the moment we sat down until the moment we left there was a terrible noise!!! The employees were talking loudly among themselves and it created stress. The music was loud and not adapted to a Tuscan Italian restaurant... We were really disappointed. Almost the most expensive restaurant we have been to with the least delicious food. I must say that they were great that they agreed to change the dish for us, but maybe it was because they knew it was not the most edible. And another positive thing to say is that the chef was handsome.

The pasta was delicious. The wines were good. We came because the veal cheek was good but the boss took it off the menu. They will add it again next year. Tiramisu and pear dessert are not bad. They do not accept without an appointment. If there are early risers, the ones waiting at the door without an appointment look you in the eye and tell you to finish it and get up :)

The food was INCREDIBLE at this gorgeous little Italian place on a peaceful street. The staff were super friendly and clearly enjoyed their job and workplace. We broke a glass and they were so quick to clean and help with a little finger cut. The space was air conditioned which is a nice relief on a hot day and seemed to be dog friendly, although due to the tight space I would be recommend for big dogs Will come back many times!! Thanks for a great evening

Good and tasty! A real taste of Italian cuisine. Tasty and tasty. I have also been to the Fiaschetteria in Pistoia in Tuscany and the flavors are exactly the same. Same menu as in Pistoia and the traditional dishes are preserved. Excellent restaurant, young and authentic Italian waiters. Small but very welcoming place, recommended for romantic dinners. I will definitely return on days when I miss Italian flavors (especially pici cacio e pepe).

Highly recommended, top service, top food and top wine!

The truffle pasta is one of the most delicious pasta in Amsterdam, but without wine, it became a bit overwhelming after a while. The pork platter appetizer with sun-dried tomatoes was delicious and came in a generous portion. The cheese pasta was extremely rich—those who love it would really enjoy it. The tomato pasta was a bit too oily. All the pasta noodles were cooked very well; they were chewy but not too hard. The chicken liver pâté with bread was quite unique, with a slightly pungent smell and very salty taste—not something for everyone. I highly recommend to order the stew pear for the dessert, it was just perfect!!

I come to this place very often and love the pasta. This time we also tried the tiramisu. Correct. Service is efficient, not slow. The cacio e pepe was a bit too cheesy compared to the places I like (yes, it’s possible). Overall I recommend this place

One of our favourite spots in Amsterdam! I recall this restaurant from my last visit, and aside from the wonderful pasta, the thing that stuck in my mind was the Pera Cotta or poached pear with mascarpone. The way the chocolate in the mascarpone just harmonises so well with the red wine that the pear is cooked in? Just beautiful! Also really love their cacio e pepe and al burro 🧈 yum!

Delicious truffle, tortellini, and beef ragu pasta

What a treat! In a city full of great food, this place stands out! Fresh homemade pasta with the most delicious sauces. Paparadelle with a ragu bolongnese and caci i pepe! Don't miss this gem!

Wanted to come here for a long time. Finally! We really enjoyed truffle and cacio e pepe pasta. Great wine parring. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Tables are very close to each other which makes it extra cozy. Definitely make a reservation. Enjoy :)

Good, authentic Italian cuisine

Tiny restaurant with all the atmosphere of an Italian. Freshly made pasta, excellent, generous portions.

I recently visited this Italian fiaschetteria in Amsterdam. The food itself was delicious, with vibrant flavors and a genuine Italian touch. However, many of the dishes were unfortunately quite salty, which overshadowed some of the flavors. One of the major letdowns was the burrata. For 20 euros, I was expecting something more substantial, but what I received was surprisingly small and not particularly visually appealing on the plate. It didn't feel like it was worth the price at all. On a positive note, the tiramisu was excellent and a great way to end the meal. The staff was also very friendly and attentive, making the overall atmosphere pleasant.

We used to love this place but it's really gone downhill... The prices have gone up an unreasonable amount for small portions (and an extremely overpriced burrata) and most of all the service was terrible! We were completely rushed through our dinner and basically forced out of the place in 45 minutes. This is a dinner we'd been looking forward to as we had really good memories coming previously but we were so disappointed that we did not get a special experience again and did not enjoy our night at all. Will never come back, unfortunately.

After a long search of a cozy and geniune Italian restaurant, Pistoia was next to where we were staying and safe to say we were impressed by the amazing taste and the atmosphere that they offered. Dana and Marco, the lovely staff enlighted our experience with their smile and energy.

We wanted a tiramisu to take away, we called to order and they didn't answer, when we finally got there they insisted we get other things, while we told them that's all we wanted and they showed us how much it cost (it was 9€) I ordered it and when I got home and opened it, it had a spoonful of cream inside, only tiramisu, nothing. Simply unacceptable!!

You need to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you will have to check out and leave as soon as you enter the store before the next scheduled guest arrives!

Lovely small place, fresh pastas, great wine selection and very good service. Unfortunately, the mood was completely influenced by the choice of music in the restaurant. As inappropriate as incomprehensible, we had to listen to AC/DC, Eye of the tiger, Meatloaf, etc. all evening. Also at such a volume that it was unfortunately impossible to ignore. What a mismatch. A waste of all the other bonus points of this restaurant.

We go to Pistoia at least once every time we are in Amsterdam. The noodles are homemade and taste extremely delicious. It's a cute little Italian restaurant and the staff is super friendly. We particularly recommend the pasta Bolognese with ragu and the starter with tomatoes and burrata.

I am still thinking about the gnocchi I had there!

Wow- we loved this restaurant so much, we ate here twice on our 1-week trip. The cacio e pepe is the best I’ve ever had outside of Italy. Everything from service, to food & wine, to atmosphere was 10/10.

Excellent food and quality. The only minor thing was the tiramisu having very little biscuit inside ;-)

Extremely unclear communication. We came here based on friends’ recommendations and were excited to try it. Since it was busy, they put us on the waitlist and said they’d call when a table was free, which was understandable. When they did call, we went back, only to be told the table was gone. The waiter literally said, “I don’t know how to tell you, but the table is gone”(apparently because the previous guests, who were 20 minutes late still got to keep it). Then we were told the wait would be 30 minutes to an hour, and they’d call us again. Since we didn’t have a reservation, we thought waiting nearby was fine. Two hours later, still no update. We eventually gave up. A simple call to let us know there wouldn’t be a table would’ve saved us from waiting for nothing. We get that restaurants get busy, but at least be upfront instead of giving vague estimates and leave people hanging. So sad.

the tortellini and the pappardelle were nice and al dente, and their fillings and sauce really came well together. it was great not just because of the food, but the helpfulness of the waiting staff making recommendations as well as the old school ambience made the experience great. however, the dinner service is very busy, so i recommend making reservations a few days before, preferably as soon as they open. so definitely worth a visit!

This place is de-lishhhh! I had the black olive pasta and my friend the tagliatelle al tartufo and both were perfectly made! We also had an amazing burrata on the side. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, we were short on time and they made sure we had our order just in time. The place is very small, but cozy. Must visit.

Great experience. 10/10. We didn’t make a reservation and the manager still sat us in 15 min although the restaurant is super tiny. We waited outside and he kept checking on us and giving us updates:) very friendly. Place is run by Italians. Very authentic. The food came very fast and was delicious. You can stop searching for a good Italian restaurant in Amsterdam cause you found it! The restaurant is small and cozy. I really enjoyed the whole experience because of the decor, the music and the staff that was speaking Italian in the kitchen…it made me feel like I teleported. You should make a reservation. We didn’t have one, but we got lucky and the manager was so nice to give us a table. As for the food, just try the truffle pasta and I promise you won’t regret it. Also the tiramisu is out of this world.

The food came so fast that I feel like if I had timed it, my stopwatch would have counted negative seconds. And that was while the restaurant was completely full. Plus, the food was amazing, and the staff was extremely friendly.

I'm not sure why this place gets great reviews. The bread was stale, the bolognese sauce was salty and didn't taste fresh, and the tiramisu was just a cup of cream.

We went at around 9 o'clock without a reservation. They took us because there was a suitable table. The 'tagliatelle al tartufo' I ate was legendary. As a pasta lover, I can say that I fell in love with pasta again. After eating the tiramisu, I said, wow, what a meal it was. The service was friendly and fast. I deducted one point from the small size of the place. One wants to sit a little more comfortably. But other than that, it was a very enjoyable meal. Offers. Wholehearted recommendation.
