An honest Hague 'street vendor' where you can get fries and snacks, but also fish (the name says it all...). Nice and easy for a quick bite, eat at the standing table, or take away. The fried fish is delicious and the deluxe hamburger is also highly recommended. Multiple orders are taken at the same time, so the wait time is short. Great spot!

It used to be a household name in The Hague! Every weekend was a fixed stop for delicious fries, tasty snacks, and amazing staff. Unfortunately, the opposite is the norm here these days. Pre-fried fries and chewy fish fillets. What a shame! You pay a lot of money for fries that have been fried twice, soaked in frying oil, and full of hard bits. Maybe even fried three times? The peanut sauce was burnt... We could just throw it away. No, unfortunately, the oh-so-good snack bar is now a gluttony den.

Excellent selection, everything is freshly prepared, good value for money, highly recommended - only the seagulls and crows are annoying, so it's better to order takeaway food.

Delicious kibbeling, very generous portions, and the fries were equally good. Very clean and very friendly staff. Excellent value for money. The only downside was the seagulls and crows waiting for their share, so we opted for takeout. We'll gladly come back.

Vis & Snacks Ockenburgh is one of those places where craftsmanship is still the standard. The cod kibbeling is exactly how you want it. Fresh, tender, and super soft on the inside with a nice, light crunch on the outside. Not a heavy bite, but perfectly balanced. The mussels were just as juicy, full of flavor, and clearly freshly prepared. What stands out is the simplicity that works. No fuss, just a good product, well prepared. You can see this reflected in the display case and the open kitchen. Everything looks clean, fresh, and well-organized. That inspires confidence. The staff works quickly and friendly, paying attention to what they are doing. You can tell there is a routine here, but without it becoming impersonal. In short: This is one of those places you come back to when you are in the mood for really good fish. 5 stars without a doubt.

Well, if you wait enough for the guy to finish his extended talking with a friend... You will eat. Take 10 min more to be seen.

One of my favorite places for kibbeling. The kibbeling is fresh and crunchy, I also get the mussels which is also yum. I don't live nearby BUT I make go about once a month since I can drop by when I do errands.

Good herring and tasty kibbeling

I hadn't been here in ages. What a delicious chicken schnitzel you can eat here. Delicious with flaming sauce. Super crispy fried and with a nice, "cheesy" but fresh white bun. Don't forget their delicious veal croquette. You simply have to go here because they have all sorts of delicious specialties. And of course, the staff behind the counter are top-notch!

Very nice location after the renovation. Unfortunately, the new fries are of poorer quality. I had to throw half of them away. So I'll have to find another place to snack.

I've been coming here for a long time and really enjoy it. The quality is very consistent, with delicious herring and other fish products. Nice new snack bar with traditionally good and affordable items. But €18 for two snacks is really a lot of money. Too bad.

Always had good service. Now that they have the new building, it's definitely improved. There are some tables. Two more benches might be a bit better, but it's not essential.

The staff are always very friendly and fast. It's a nice place, too. But unfortunately, the kibbeling isn't as good as it used to be. The skin was still on the kibbeling, which made it rather unpleasant and didn't smell good.

This used to be my regular place for a fish snack but it has gone downhill enormously Very unfriendly salesperson! The small bowl of kibbeling is the size of a frikandel bowl. Not worth it anymore

Whenever we are in the area we have to go there "obsessively". The best fried fish we have ever eaten. Were just there and were royally pampered. I'm starting to rave again...it was different yesterday. I ordered my food, 2 fried fish, 1 kibbeling, 1 fries, to take away. The waitress hands me a bowl of Kibbeling and I look at him questioningly. To eat here he said. That was probably a misunderstanding, I replied. I'm alone here and I'm definitely not going to eat 2 fried fish, kibbeling and fries. He, on the other hand, became unfriendly and muttered something in Dutch. OK, everything wouldn't be so bad if he had packed my order correctly. In short, 1 fried fish was missing. I paid €28. Damn shit.

You can come here for fish, fries or a hot snack. A temporary stall has been set up due to renovation of the building. Spicy cod sandwich is very tasty.

Kibbeling is definitely a favorite when we are in the area. At home in all markets. Fish, snacks, ice cream, etc. You have to be careful that the seagulls don't steal your food from you.

If you wait 15 minutes in apparently the wrong line, the guy tells you to go to the back. Waited 25 minutes then left, customer friendliness still needs to be learned here..
