Flinders in Centrum

We both ordered something with avocado. The Vegetarian Club Sandwich and the Avocado Salad. Both are worth trying. We thought it was a success. Always nice at Flinders Nieuwweg. When the weather is good, it has one of the nicest terraces in Groningen.

The whole experience was mediocre. Endless wait for our lunch. Unfriendly staff. And an installation was being built next to our table. No idea what for. Good service would have been to offer us another table. There was space.

Wow... what a disappointment. The food was not good and we had to wait very long. A year ago it was great and now it's a flop.

Wat een achteruitgang met een jaar geleden. Het eten was matig en we moesten erg lang wachten terwijl het niet druk was. Erg jammer. Dit was voor ons de laatste keer hier eten.

Nice cafe in a beautiful spot in the city. Great outdoor terrace. We had something to drink and eat. The food was unfortunately mediocre. Hence three stars. Vega burger was not great. Chicken satay mediocre. I think that with a little more attention to the food you can deliver much better quality. I'm going to end on a positive note; the drinks were delicious, the staff is top notch. Smooth service and very friendly. A cozy cafe. Just go there.

Voorheen was het eten erg goed. Helaas is het nu ver onder de maat. De bowl wordt geserveerd met gewone rijst en een minimale hoeveelheid toppings. Het gemist aan voldoende toppings oftewel wat groente. Bij de vraag is er ook iets voor een kind kon worden gemaakt, werd er aangegeven er ligt misschien nog wel een frikandel in de vriezer. En anders konden wij ons kind wel wat borrelhapjes geven. Daarnaast zat er geen koolzuur in het bier. De bediening loste dit op na 20 minuten wachten nadat wij dit nogmaals hadden aangegeven. Wij komen niet meer!

Delicious Sandwich with chicken, 🥓 bacon and lettuce. I would add some fries 🍟. I don't like the handful of chips with mayonnaise ⚠️ A bit pricey 💰. You can sit there nicely, large terrace with a good view

Teníamos poké bowls y una hamburguesa vegetariana con patatas fritas que estaban deliciosos. Mucha gente joven un viernes por la noche pero nos recibieron de todos modos jaja. Fácil aparcamiento en la calle y tan contento de que estaban abiertos en agosto!

We eten hier regelmatig en het was altijd erg goed, mooie prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Op 6 augustus was het mis, ik neem meestal de burata als voorgerecht en die was altijd top, alleen nu was het gerecht volledig uitgekleed en verkleind, de balans in ingrediënten en de aankleding op het (voorheen) was weg, nu een klein bakje met 2 bolletjes burata, paar slablaadjes, wat croutons en kerstomaatjes en dat was het zelfs de dressing was niet passend. De nootjes en perzikjes misten en opmaak op een bord. Ik heb aangegeven dat als het een kosten keuze is dat ik ook wel meer wil betalen voor dit gerecht zolang als de kwaliteit maar gewaarborgd blijft, dus bv ipv €11,50 bv 14.50 of zoiets. Geen reactie. Vervolgens het hoofdgerecht de ravioli met citroenboter, groene kruiden en walnoten en daar werd dan weer over the top geserveerd, een overdaad aan ravioli en de wereld aan walnoten. Ik begrijp dat je het goed wilt maken maar het gaat om de balans van het gerecht, ik zou deze kok nog een keer een herhalingscursus aanbieden. Al met al, geen goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

6 Euro for a non-alcoholic beer at Flinderscafe, Just too ridiculous, but yes. Having to go home for 10 minutes costs me the same amount of stress and petrol, although there is no shortage of petrol fumes here on this busy road... otherwise it's fun, although the jupping and student spirit radiates by the liter.

Didn't eat there, just drank, staff is attentive and alert.

We ordered 1 Gin Tonic and 1 Aperol Spritz. Both tasted like water with a bit of flavor. We also saw that the woman at the counter hardly put any gin or Aperol in the glass. Very cheeky given the prices.

Cozy and a beautiful place for a terrace!

We were here today on the King’s day, so the city was crowded, and could only find a table at Flinders. We liked the food we ordered next to the beer. They have an offer for a 15 💶 you can choose 3 appetizer plates, that was nice! For foccacia plate, the hummus needs more tahini, and instead of yogurty dip something else like tomato paste etc can go better. Bitterballen and the mustard dip was really good. And tropical Bax Bier l liked!

There weren't many people there on a Monday evening. Food and service were fine.

Service was very nice, despite language difficulties on our part - very patient.

Is fancy cozy style Good for the first date

We were here for lunch and were positively impressed. The food was very fresh and tasty. The bowls tasted great. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is also very pleasant. ☺️👍

Lovely cafe by the canal near the city centre of Groningen. Try the mackerel sandwich!

If we want to have a cup of coffee with colleagues or have lunch during our lunch break, we always go to Flinders. Nice and close, nice place to sit, nice coffee with a Tony Chocolony. Fast service, which is nice during an afternoon break.

Nice, cozy place with very warm and committed service and tasty food. Dining with a group went smoothly here, as did the communication about this event in advance.

Love everything here, from the cocktail menu to the snacks and the atmosphere. Great spot for warmer weather, but the inside is also cozy during winter.

Superleuke plek om te zitten. En wat een vlees. Heerlijk! Ik was hier gister met vrienden, en we hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad. De entrecôte was, naar wens, perfect medium rare gebakken. Patat was wel aan de schaarse kant. Enorm goed geholpen door de bediening, erg vriendelijk ook! We komen zeker terug :)

Our last meal at Flinders was not great. We ordered a club sandwich and a chicken poke bowl, and both were rather disappointing. We had been to Flinders a year ago or so, and I believe the quality has declined. The chicken in the poke bowl is not katsu style anymore, not even grilled. It's the same chicken that was in the club sandwich. Bread was very low quality. It's a shame the food is not up to standard. Service, on the other hand, was excellent.

Super goede gastheer! En ook heerlijk gegeten

Hier geweest voor drankjes en een hapje eten. Ik had de Thaise mosselen en eton mess en was bij beiden niet heel erg onder de indruk. De Thaise mosselen waren super zout. Echt zonde want mosselen hebben (nagenoeg) geen extra zout nodig en ze waren verder wel goed op smaak. Daarna als toetje eton mess met heerlijk frisse aardbeien maar helaas ontbrak de merengue. Het eten bij m’n tafelgenoten zag er iets beter uit dus misschien lag het net aan de gerechten die ik heb gekozen. Zeker geen slecht eten, maar ook niet fantastisch.

Ik moet helaas zeggen dat wij erg teleurgesteld waren. We komen al jaren bij Flinders en het was altijd heerlijk eten en nu was het ronduit slecht. De Japanse soep smaakte slechts naar pepper, de mosterdsoep smaakte naar bloem. De pokebowl voor 15 euro bestond uit rijst, sla, kip ( geen krokante kip meer)rauwkost en mango!! De sandwich was redelijk, geen vers brood meer maar helaas. Erg jammer!

De lunch is er goed, heerlijke koffie. Bediening is snel en vriendelijk. Diner raad ik er niet aan; vega burger was koud en de entrecote was ook niet echt goed volgens mijn vriend. Je krijgt weinig frietjes bij het diner, in tegenstelling tot de portie bij de lunch. Zou voor lunch zeker terugkomen!

Het was heerlijk zitten in het zonnetje. Beste tijd is vanaf 13:00 om lekker in de zon te zitten. Voor 12,50 heb je een clubsandwich kip. (op witbrood…?) Het is een goeie sandwich met lekker gekruide kip, eitje, bacon en ijsbergsla afgetopt met wat saus. Beetje honingmosterd saus en chips erbij. Wel lekker hoor. Je krijgt bijna het idee dat het gezond is 😉. De service is goed en snel. Het is wel een ‘jupperig’ zaakje, maar goed, ik moest toch wat negatief verzinnen. Nee, goede tip voor als je op een nazomerse dag wilt lunchen! 👍🏻

Super duur en je mag niet cash betalen, lijkt mij zelfs tegen de wet. Als je vraagt waarom, het standaard antwoord "mag niet van de baas" en "er hangt een briefje op de deur".

We were on a short trip through Groningen with our dog, the staff was super friendly and helped us in taking care that our dog won't see the other dogs around (he doesn't like others). The girls made sure everything was fine, even the chefs in the open kitchen friendly greeted us. The industrial style interior gives a warm and cozy feeling, seatings are comfortable. 5/5! Thank you for the great service ♥️♥️♥️

Gutes Essen, sehr freundliches Personal

Overall very disappointing food. Burger bun was dry with mediocre quality meat. Prices are too high for the delivered food. Would not suggest anyone to eat here. For drinking okay.

Gezellig terras, goed eten en fijne bediening!

Das Essen war super lecker und das Personal gut drauf. Verständigung in Englisch hat auch super geklappt.

Rib - eye. Van ongeveer 23,- het was een heel klein stukje vlees. Niet wat je verwacht als je een Rib-eye besteld. $ 5,90 voor een bier. Erg prijzig.. en dat is niet erg. Als de kwaliteit er naar is. In dit geval helaas onvoldoende

Lekker eten, goeie bediening en leuke plek om te zitten. Ook in het zonnetje. Maar veelste duur voor wat het is! Een soepje voor 8,-?? En broodjes rond de 12,- is mij te overdreven.

Heerlijk buiten gezeten in het zonnetje. Glaasje wijn erbij. Leuk terrasje.

The fastest service I've ever seen !

Gezellig zitten maar helaas is er erg weinig personeel en moet je lang wachten voordat je je bestelling hebt. Ik ben al een keer weggegaan omdat het echt te lang duurde

Wat een leuke plek. Heerlijke bitterballen en professionele bediening. Voor ons de 1e keer i.c.m bezoek aan UMCG en overnachting in Groningen. Een bruisende stad, heerlijk. We komen zeker terug. Atze en Trudy Appelo

Leuke ambiance prima eten. Echt Italiaans. Vlotte bediening. Veel groter dan je denkt aan de buitenkant.

A wonderful experience. Delicious food, I tried the 3 course surprise menu from the chef. Highly recommend!! The wine selection is good and if you order that "surprise menu" the waitress is so kind to revel you type of wine to choose ;-) Friendly stuff and cozy atmosphere. A great experience!

Heerlijk eten op een fijne plek

Per toeval hier terecht gekomen. Eten kleine porties grote prijzen. Eten was wel lekker, ook weinig keus. Het stonk in de hal naar de WC. Betwijfel of deze uberhaupt wel schoon was gemaakt. Vuilnisbak voor de handdoekjes was helemaal vol en het was niet eens druk.

Enorm fijne tent. Heb hier echt de meest malse biefstuk ever gegeten!

Great and super friendly service. The food was very delicious. We ordered toasts with goat cheese, pancakes, beer, and ham&cheese toasts. Even that simple food was beautiful served. The Toast isn't dry , just as it should be. Pancakes were fluffy and bouncy. Interior design is really cool ! We actually chose this place because it was said they serve oysters, but they don't. However we have a good time there. So definitely suggesting that place :)

Een van de beste pokebowls die mijn man ooit heeft gegeten. Heerlijk no nonsense eten en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Leuke sfeer.

Gezellige entourage, goede en vlotte bediening. Niet gegeten alleen wat gedronken en ook dat was uitstekend!

Matige bediening, uitgegeten maar vieze borden bleven lang op tafel staan. Na verwijderen wisten ze niet wat zou moeten volgen. Tafel schoonmaken en de kaart voor een toetje bijvoorbeeld (hadden een menu besteld)
