Floor Brasserie Boscafé in Wijk 00 Epe

By chance (culinary walking and cycling) we ended up here for dessert two days in a row. They arranged for us to have two different desserts. And they were delicious.

Top location. Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Good beer and delicious food. Service is excellent.

I come here often. It's a beautiful spot hidden in the woods, but today I might have just come at the wrong time, between two shifts. I didn't feel particularly welcome. The staff wanted to take their order quickly, and I had to find a seat somewhere. They were busy preparing for the evening meal. Fortunately, the coffee tastes good, and the apple pie was also delicious.

We left and went to dinner somewhere else

Those unexpected spots that turn out to be so lovely... On the way from Kaatsheuvel to the far north with the family. A quick bite at Van der Valk and then on our way. However, Valkie was full. So we just got off the highway, headed towards Heerde, and looked for a nice place with good reviews. And that's how we ended up here. And what a stroke of luck! We only had a main course, but it was delicious. A fantastic steak with delicious gravy and fresh side dishes. Friendly and fast service. A great experience!

A wonderful location and excellent service. The food was truly delicious, and my colleagues and I went on a covered wagon ride through the woods. That was the brilliant idea of Anne, who organizes events for this beautiful venue.

If you still get an "uitsmijter" (fried eggs) at 5 PM, even though it's not on the menu, then you've truly understood hospitality. I love coming there by bike, but there's also a horse-drawn tram. So it's incredibly modern, but above all, cozy and welcoming! And those gnomes, oh, they just float around.

Last Friday I had lunch here with my partner. We both ordered the 12-uurtje, with a small variation of different items from the menu. Fantastic, we both enjoyed it! Maybe the paprika-chili cream was a bit spicy, which made the ribeye taste less good, while the ribeye itself tasted so good. Just good dishes with good ingredients, well seasoned. Incredibly friendly service in a beautiful spot in the forest. If I didn't live a bit further away from here I would be here every week. I secretly hope that this place remains a bit of a secret...

On the advice of a friend, I cycled to Floor for a drink, the terrace and to walk from there. It is indeed a beautiful terrace where I wanted to sit on this warm day. Although I was alone, there was no place. That is of course possible, but I was actually sent away. No offer to wait somewhere inside or outside. I was left a bit lost in the middle of the terrace. There were empty pallet benches, but there were no cushions on them. When I asked, I was told that there were no cushions for them. So you have benches, but no cushions? So that customers can look at them but not sit on them? And besides, my drink would then be on the bill of the people sitting on the adjacent bench, because it is 1 number. Omg, if you as a catering establishment cannot come up with a solution for that, you do not understand hospitality. Because the weather was so nice and I really wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee before my walk and the people next to me were leaving (because yes, that is what people do, they come and go), I stayed and I was actually able to get a cup of coffee. Had a lovely walk afterwards in beautiful surroundings!

I found the High Tea for 25.50 pp really mediocre. No sandwiches, no scones, dry brownie and hard macarons.

The Italian evening was great, atmospheric outside, cozy table setting. A beautiful pizza oven where everyone could see the work of the chef. Cozy around the pizza oven delicious pieces of pizza eaten and especially a kind of 'carpaccio' with salad and a tiramisu for dessert. Nice service. It was really worth it at this beautiful location. Keep it up 👌👍

We wanted to have lunch here but were told they were full. We could clearly see that there was still enough space on the terrace and inside but were still shown the door.

However, the dessert, (ordered without liqueur) a sorbet at €10,- with 2 minimal scoops and some pineapple cubes in fruit sauce we found disappointing in terms of price/quantity.

Nice restaurant, I just haven't eaten there yet. I wanted to go for breakfast/brunch but the response to my email came two days before my desired day. So ten I arrived we heard that the kitchen wasn't open yet. We will go again because it's such a nice place

Enjoy sitting by the fireplace with a delicious snack board and a nice beer/wine. The staff was sometimes a bit confused with the order, but that didn't spoil the fun. We were helped very friendly and the drinks board was generously presented. The setting in the forest is super cozy and we will definitely come back here.

Finally a beautiful restaurant in the woods, but with a nice, neat, well-asphalted parking lot. Food and coffee were top notch. It could be a little warmer inside. An even better cold airlock at the entrance is needed. The chocolate milk could be a little thicker. Oh yes, something like hooks for bags and coats somewhere near your table. So it can be busy here. Well then you still have to park in the mud....

Been here for the first time with the kids for a cup of coffee. That eventually turned into something more. A container with crispy top pieces, and 2 pastries. Friendly help. Food is pricey, but very tasty. Homemade apple pie and cheesecake. And good homemade chicken pieces, fresh, crispy, not drowned in fat. Everyone 2 drinks (2 adults 2 kids), €50 lost. For those who can afford it, you will have tasty snacks.

Both starter and main course on the table within fifteen minutes of ordering. + Delicious meat dishes (venison & veal cheek) and fantastic Tom Kha Kai soup. + Beautiful location, attractively decorated and fresh flowers on the tables. Improvement points: - Unfortunately I had to return the cauliflower steak because it was too raw and could not be cut. Then it was stir-fried and things got better. - Due to pregnancy, the coffee treats were adjusted (nice!), but the liqueur was completely omitted and no alternative was offered. However, the full price was charged. - personally I think the prices are (too) high for the portions you get. We spent €65 pp for 3 courses

Chose the chef's menu, unfortunately not very surprising and stimulating. The food itself was not particularly tasty, rather bland. Perhaps the normal menu was better. Service was very quiet, shy and waiting, no initiative to offer drinks or ask how you liked the chef's menu. No host/hostess feeling, even forgot to provide/arrange menu and first drink. The place is beautiful and with some adjustments to the menu and service, it is certainly possible to achieve five stars as the potential is there.

After a beautiful bike ride to the Heerdermeer, we had a delicious meal in Floor on the way back. The Tom Kha Kai soup was tasty. As well as the plaice fillet with risotto. Friendly and cheerful service! Beautiful spot to enjoy peace and space in the middle of the wooded area!
