Very nice and accessible food bar with fine specialty beers on tap and a delicious lunch menu. They have some tasty vegetarian options and also very tasty meat options (like a sloppy cheesesteak sandwich). Nice service and nice and quiet during the day.

i just love everything at barabas! from turkish bread & egg toasties for breakfast, to dutch kibbeling or crispy gyoza as a snack, and greek bougatsa for dessert: they serve all tasty dishes from around the world. the servers are exceptionally kind and the coffee is good too. & bonus points for the music, it really enhances the atmosphere.

A new place in town with dishes from around the world. I loved the food and hope that the menu will have more dishes in the futures! Update: a few years later and the food still is delicious and great to share!

There is more to experience among the (international) student flats and hotels of the Campus in Diemen Zuid than you can imagine as an outsider. A variety of catering establishments can be found here with a variety of flavors. Foodbar Barabas responds well to this. You can choose from small dishes from different world cuisines. And if you want to try everything, the 'shared dining' concept is ideal. Accompanied by a delicious beer from the tap or from the bottle, you will be served quickly per order by friendly and attentive staff. What you order here is 'street food' that is not complicated but tasty. That's what this place is designed for: a carefree chat with your friends, along with some small, simple dishes. So don't expect 'stilted' culinary violence. For me, a fifth star would come if this concept were designed more with local fresh products. In addition, the 'local' cultures from the Bijlmer may contribute to the character of the map. Nevertheless: at this great location you see and feel that the 'outside area' of Amsterdam is more than worth a visit.

Delicious diverse food a few minutes from the Ziggo Dome, easy to reach by train or bus. Away from the hustle and bustle. There is also plenty of tasty food for picky eaters.

Sweet potato and rib are my favourit. Some dishes are really good, some dishes are not. For example, bulgogi fries are awkward

What a very nice and cozy tent! Delicious food! Friendly, helpful service. A restaurant with gluten-free options. A restaurant to recommend! Tip to the restaurant: if the menu says 'burger with fries and salad', please add a portion of salad instead of a garnish (1 bite).

We went there on a friday night to have some drinks around 21.45. At 22.00 we were already asked to order last round because they will be closing even though they should be open until midnight. Not only that there were at least 2/3 other tables they then offered us paper cups for our whole pitcher to take it with us?😂 Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful…

I was very happy with my burger and, to be honest, pleasantly surprised. It really tasted relatively good, much better than expected. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. It really took ages for the food to be ready, but it was worth it. The only thing that bothered me was that it was quite cramped, especially during the public viewing of the UEFA European Championship game, when there were a lot of people there and it was clearly overcrowded. All in all, however, worth a visit.

The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was well prepared and very tasty. Can recommend this restaurant and I would do it again !

Diverse menu Fast and sweet service. The smash burger was so good. Also like the arancini balls. Cheese was nicely melted between the rice. From now on I also have a new favorite dessert: bougatsa!!

Really delicious food here! Very diverse menu with something for everyone, I think. The two of us had several small dishes and they all tasted delicious. Tip from us, I understood from the service that the Cajun herbs on the fries were not entirely popular, but we can definitely recommend them! Whether you take regular fries or sweet potato fries, the Cajun is a real addition to both! We will definitely come back again 😄👌

The soup was very salty. When I asked for it to be diluted with hot water, it was quickly and pleasantly accommodating. The French sandwich was fluffy and delicious. Some of the interior and menu items were written in Japanese, but the staff didn't know that it was written in Japanese and told me it was to create an Asian atmosphere. He was a very pleasant person.

Cool place. The pulled beef is a favorite for lunch.

Service was nice, but the nachos were expensive for how much you got and had very little sauce and cheese for this amount, the fries were limp, there was so much gojuang sauce on the bimibap that you could no longer taste the rest of the ingredients. The vegan burger, on the other hand, was tasty. We would love to come back for a drink.

Lunch with a group of people. The menu has several options and is quite varied. The vegetarian options seem limited. The location is great and the atmosphere in the business is great. It is cozy even when there are fewer people. The service is excellent and attentive. The food is okay and meets expectations. The price is quite decent. Be careful when ordering still water, that is just tap water and €3 for tap water is expensive even in Amsterdam

NOT RECOMMENDED. I only go to this place for their fabulous (wait they dont make it anymore) Huevos rancheros dish; when I placed my order the girl said: oh let me ask if they can make it; she quickly came back and said yes, the chef knows how to make it and hast the ingredients but we don't know how to put it in the system. I told her how specifically only came because of that dish and would be happy to pay the price of any other dish. Still, she said: we decided we are not going to make it because “we are new”. Same girl asked me twice for what it meant a “flat white” when I ordered? I feel sorry that it was my last time at that place.

A very intimate place with good food.

The food was okay, but not amazing. The portion for Bibimbap was small for the price (€13.50) with hardly any rice and the egg was overcooked. Similarly, the French toast portion was small (2 pieces for €9.5). The martini was good, but again, €11.5

Food is of a low quality, and very often not fresh. You can taste that the vegetables are already spoiled. Food also looks like it was warmed up, so you really don’t know when exactly the whole ingredients were cooked. Overpriced. Prices have increased, but the portions got smaller. The service however is very nice, and overall atmosphere as well. But they should really improve the food quality…

Een hele relaxte plek om een drankje te doen na een dag. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en flexibel. We kwamen onaangekondigd met 16 man naar binnen en we werden met open armen ontvangen. Het personeel was flexibel en dacht met ons mee.

Quite pricy but decent. I would recommend having drinks more than food at this place. The food is more Asian-oriented (Japanese, Korean), but the portions are quite small. The atmosphere is quite nice and the staff is friendly. I recommend the homemade brownie with pistachio ice-cream, very pleasant mix of hot and cold

Goede sfeer, eten is goed. Was jammer dat het te lang duurde voor het eten er was. Goed opgelost door het nagerecht/koffie namens het huis aan te bieden.

Leuk en gezellig zitten. We namen een lunch, deze smaakte goed. Nette zaak en vriendelijk personeel.

Ik heb hier met 10 mannen mijn verjaardag gevierd. Lekker eten goede sfeer en bediening.

I had ordered Ramen from here. The ramen was over cooked and looked like cake. When I raised the issue, they said they would get back to me about it but didn’t so I then followed up. On following up they gave me an explanation about them trying out a new kind of noodles and provided a 10 percent discount on the bill. I would say that doing quality checks of this sort to avoid overcooking noodles till it becomes boiled cake like is advisable. I do appreciate the discount but perhaps being more proactive about addressing one’s mistakes is better, you know?

Good food but nothing amazing. I don’t think it’s worth the money given that the portions are tiny and you end up paying a lot to feel full. The service is really good but the food looks way better than it actually tastes, a bit underwhelming.

Heerlijk eten hier voor lunch en diner! Broodje gyros en de köfte maaltijd zijn mijn favoriet. Word er ook altijd vriendelijk geholpen. Jammer dat er nog geen online bezorg mogelijkheid is, daar zou ik zeker gebruik van maken!

The food was good and the recommendations were good. Only when I asked if there was a menu with pictures, she asked me which country I was from. Then he said in China and Japan menu has pictures here is not. And I sat closer to the kitchen and I heard her say that she would look for food that looked better because she had to send pictures to ins. I think except for these are good, just these two points I find a little offensive. The restaurants I go to in Spain they have pictures on their menus and don't say so based on the country. This is the reason I gave 4 stars. Other than that the food was good.

Informeel tent vol jonge mensen. Snelle kaart en voldoende ruimte om leker bij te kletsen.

Supervriendelijk personeel en heerlijk gegeten. Verschillende speciaal biertjes aanwezig en een gevarieerd menu voor iedereen wat wils. Echt een aanrader.
