FoodMaster De Gors in Wijk 04 Gors

I'm incredibly dissatisfied! My daughter and I recently went looking for a new snack bar. We ordered two fries and there was a Turkish boy, about 15 years old, behind the counter. He charged us €70 for two fries and two. This is, of course, unacceptable. We tried to find a solution, but there was no action. He then asked us to leave the snack bar without offering a refund, which we find unacceptable. When we refused to leave, he started physically touching my daughter Tessa, who is very traumatized by this. Then he tricked us into committing an attack if we shared anything about this. Unacceptable! Not a snack bar, but a Pea Soup Bar!

Someone was clearly being "trained." She was given short commands with growling, pushing her hand away if things took a little longer, and without patience or proper explanation. I understand that people can only work here for a short time. The owner is a very inappropriate person. Absolutely unacceptable!

I'm very dissatisfied! I ordered a hamburger and fries, but all I got was a small Turkish boy at my door who only talked about Turkey and bombs... he ended up standing at my door for 15 minutes, talking nothing but Istanbul, Turkey, and the Quran. I eventually sent him away and didn't receive my food. I'm definitely not happy about this!

The opening hours listed on Google are incorrect. I've tried several times to get fries around 7 p.m., but they're always closed or simply turned away. The ice cream machine has been out of order for months. The owner is truly unpleasant and unfriendly. Google says it's open until 9 p.m., but they don't even make it to 7 p.m. If you don't feel like working, you should just sit back and relax. I have only one word for it: HOPELESS.

Not really worth a star. Years ago, they didn't even know how to make a hamburger bun. They still don't. Way too much sauce on top and bottom. Hamburger on top of the usual toppings. Impossible to eat normally and without a mess. And that guy with glasses, brrr.

Arrived at 8:27 PM and asked for food, and they said it was closed, even though the sign said 9:00 PM. Unfortunately, it was closed. How is this possible? It's simply not possible.

The shop would be open at 12:00, felt like something tasty after a busy day. Waiting a bit, no problem. However, the owner arrived late and grumbling with stuff in his hand and sent us away. To our surprise, he also said to us, his customers, who would otherwise place a large order, you can see that I'm not open yet. It will take another half hour. Could have been friendlier and also more hospitable. I already saw previous bad reviews, perhaps the owner should do something about this... instead of sending his customers away.

Today we thought we'd give this place another try. A few months ago, we weren't helped, so we just left. Today it happened again. The person in charge doesn't even look at you. Now we're definitely never coming back. That's no way to treat customers. What a crappy place.

Update March 2025: Still a terrible place. Poor opening hours, and everything is already cleared out and closed by 8 PM. A waste of trying. 2023: Simply not a particularly good snack bar, with some staff who are simply unfriendly. The chef, in particular, is a complete smart aleck. We've tried several times and each time it's a disappointment. The food also doesn't quite make the cut for a better rating. We'd rather travel further to snack bar Gean, where the service is better and friendlier, and the food is better.

Thought we'd try another snack bar but I regret that. Fries just not fried properly, sometimes even raw. Frikandel inedible and hotdog cold and not tasty. Definitely not recommended

Tent has seen better days. More often old dirty fries than good fries. (Old grease) More than half of a large bag you can just throw away. Added a photo but it doesn't show how dirty they really look.

Food is just okay, but having to witness the disgusting behavior of the owner (older dude with glasses) towards his staff completely ruined my appetite. (Newer?) colleague who is working hard during a busy evening, only to be continuously corrected with sighs, shouting loudly that he has to read, looking at customers, looking at him and then laughing while shaking his head/sighing, I find it really disrespectful to your staff. I completely understand if you have to train someone, but I find the tone this owner uses and the total lack of respect/compassion towards your staff poignant. Know your place and respect your staff. 0.5/5

Imagine your brother-in-law who is not even 30 suddenly passes away, you are busy with it all day, you don't feel like cooking so at 7:40 PM I was in the snack bar. When I entered I already saw that they were closing/cleaning shit are you closing I asked? "Yes but just say it". I place my order, the gentleman turns around and has no idea what I said. The other employee saw it happen and politely took my order. The gentleman (I believe the owner) then says that he didn't understand a word I said to his employee. And how annoying it is that I come in at the last minute he literally even said what a "shitty" evening. You are open until 8:00 PM change your opening hours instead of ranting while I am actually standing there?!

Food is always good, hot and delivered quickly. Sometimes things are forgotten, but they are also solved well.

Everything was raw! Plus paid for a pint of ice cream and we got 2 individual ice creams. Not available by phone. €30 wasted! Hopefully my friend doesn't get sick after that raw burger. Bah

Great snack bar with a lot of choice, but it was just on the expensive side. But that will depend on time.

It was inedible, the ketchup was sour and the fries tasted strange and the burger looked very old and did not taste good, I will never go there again.

Well-working and friendly staff! The star for that. But the owner is disrespectful both to staff in front of customers and to customers themselves. Sells you more expensive products that you did not order and says that you did order them. This has happened several times now. We don't come here anymore because of him. Shame.

I come in at 9:25 PM (the front door was still open), closing time is 10:00 PM. Owner still present in the business, busy with the cleaning. I wanted to get another can of soft drink from the gentleman. He refused to sell this because it was closed ?????? Last time I ever got anything from Mr. What a jerk of a guy. Literally a 5 second action.

Foodmaster de Gors is a great snack bar with friendly staff. The only thing that is terribly annoying are the customers who attack the staff because it is mandatory to wear a face mask while ordering. Raising a fuss about this issue doesn't solve anything, costs a lot of time and energy and makes other customers feel uncomfortable. The snack bar is legally obliged to do this, do customers want to pay the fine that the snack bar will receive if they do not comply with this rule? If you don't agree, just shout at Rutte and not at the staff. And then still. If you don't agree with the rules of this building, why not go to McDonald's? You can also stay in your own car!

Excellent products and good service

Order placed at 5:38 PM on July 23, 2020 with the request for delivery at 6:45 PM. The delivery receipt even states: delivery at 6:55 PM. What do you think? Food was delivered at 5:50 PM!!! An hour early. So we didn't count on that. :( Luckily I had just gotten home, otherwise the delivery person would have been standing in front of a closed door and I would have had a cold meal. We had ordered, among other things, 4 Dobben croquettes, but unfortunately it was clear that one of the croquettes had not made it all the way to the chip shop, it looked like it had fallen and was therefore 1/3 smaller. (I didn't think the quality of the kroks was anything to write home about either). The fries were good. It's now 6:20 PM, we ate some of it, and unfortunately the rest went into the trash can, because we weren't hungry yet. In short: Highly recommended! PS: The delivery man looked a bit surprised when I said "hey, you're an hour early", but I don't think he can do anything about it. He can keep his tip.

It was quite a disappointment, the fries and cheese soufle were undercooked and too much sauce on the hamburger, causing the bun to be completely soaked. Too bad because it used to be good!!

Nice shop with delicious stuff! Just a shame that the owner is not so friendly to his staff! We have just been back in business. The owner grumbled at the staff again and shook his head at the customers, this is “unprofessional” and only makes your staff more insecure, especially when customers are present! The boy in question “really” tried his best and was very friendly, but the owner kept getting in his way! Shameful how he treated him! 2 bags around the fries, when we got home the fries were limp (and the owner had packed this). So if you want to improve your staff, start with yourself!

The tastiest fries in Purmerend!

De bestelling is vaak snel klaar (maximaal 10 minuutjes wachten) en de patat is heerlijk! Enige nadeel is wanneer het druk is, dan is er weinig overzicht wie er al aan de beurt geweest is.
