Founders Bar in Wijk 00 Centrum

I was in the Founders Bar on October 2025. Newly renovated. I love their Vesper Martini. It comes in little glass flutes on ice which you pour into your chilled martini glasses. This is a 10! My husband and I usually ordered steak tartar with french fries and their French oysters. We spent several, fun evenings in the Founders Bar! The bartenders were wonderful. So friendly and dressed so smartly. We were staying in the Beaumont Hotel, so many times we ended up having our dinner in the bar. It was a wonderful time because they had free, live jazz music. There was jazz music all over Maastricht! We will be back in March 2026!

A very cozy bar with delicious cocktails and tasty snacks. Every Wednesday they have live jazz, which was also a lot of fun. We each had two delicious cocktails and some delicious snacks. Definitely recommended!

We were there for Jazz Night a few weeks ago. It was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was very pleasant, the cocktails were delicious, and the staff were very attentive.

The service was highly disappointing. We experienced a long wait, during which the servers took our drink order three separate times, yet the drinks never arrived. After waiting for more than half an hour, we inquired again, only to discover that our order had never even been entered into the system. What was most frustrating is that the hostess had assured us earlier that our drinks were already being prepared, when in fact they had not been ordered at all, leaving us waiting indefinitely. This level of service is unacceptable. Although the restaurant holds a Michelin Star, the bar experience does not reflect that standard. The cocktail selection was limited, the seating at some tables was uncomfortable, and prices were excessively high. Overall, it was not worth the time or the expense.

I only had a drink but it was really delicious. The vibe is also quite nice. The service is super friendly

The staff is incredibly friendly and you get excellent service. The interior is beautiful, the seating is comfortable, and the lighting is good. It can get a bit loud at times, making conversation difficult. The drinks/cocktails are also quite expensive (as expected), but also very tasty. It's a truly upscale cocktail bar, which is something you have to appreciate. The other guests are exactly the type you'd expect.

Been there 3 times since December always full but the bar is empty. Shame don't bother here better go to mr smith or somewhere in the Middle.

Been here for the second time. Classy bar, chic, elegant. With live music on Wednesdays. What a shame that not everyone dresses for the setting. We saw people sitting there wearing white sneakers and a t-shirt...

We didn’t eat there but if you like smoky whiskies try their Penicillin Cocktail it’s absolutely superb. Peaty, Islay sensation served with flair in a lovely cosy ambience.

The Founders Bar is everything you hope to find in a better cocktail bar: intimate atmosphere, beautiful interior, delicious cocktails and very attentive service. The delicious cake that was presented to me in honor of my birthday was the icing on this beautiful cake. I will definitely come back here.

We had the pleasure to go for a drink on a Wednesday, the live jazz night - amazing background music to have a truly good and well made drink. The place itself is modern and elegant, but also laid-back. It’s for sure one of Maastricht hotspots!

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst, prachtig ingericht. Uitgebreide kaart met verschillende soorten cocktails. Enig minpunt op de vraag (vooraf!) of de cocktail iets zoeter gemaakt kon worden dat dit onmogelijk, ofwel enkel met suikersiroop. Ondanks dat, perfecte ervaring!

We tried three different cocktails including classic and bar signature. All of them are perfect. The atmosphere and the service here are really cozy for 1 or 2 hour days on Friday night. The price is quite fair, considering the quality of cocktail and service it offers.

Wat een pareltje is dit! Al een tijdje op het oog gehad om te bezoeken en nu eindelijk geweest. De barman had oog voor detail en was zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Niet vies van een praatje en interesse tonen. De cocktails zijn het helemaal waard. 3 verschillende soorten geprobeerd en alle heerlijk! De sfeer, muziek uitstraling en netheid is allemaal uitstekend, in alles; de bar, de zitplaatsen, alles. De hapjes sluiten mooi aan bij de drankjes en zijn niet te zwaar. Kortom, perfect! Ga zeer zeker terugkomen.

After first having been to Harrys and had an amazing time, we we’re asked if we would like to try out Founders Bar and we decided we would give it a try. And let me tell you we we’re not disappointed. The atmosphere, the drinks, the service, the interior everything was immaculate. Highly recommend going to Founders Bar, I for sure will go another time.
